Life Goes On(Pt18)
Evelyn slowly made her way into the cool water, splashing it up on her stomach as she went. Her mind was still thinking about the question that Thomas had asked right in front of everyone. She had to admit to herself that Sav was making it very difficult with his sultry looks. The way he spoke to her at night while in bed with Joe. Even his light touches were enough to make her flush with heat. ‘If he keeps this up much longer, I’ll probably give in. But what would Joe think of me if I did?’
Evelyn heard deep laughter to her right, then a loud splash. Then Joe’s voice floated across the water.
“You are soo going to pay for that.”
”Come and get me baby.”
Evelyn couldn’t help but shiver at Sav’s voice and the way he used it, even if it wasn’t directed at her.
“No…my head is spinning because you made me hit it on the bottom. And I think it’s bleeding.” Joe whined.
Sav was immediately in front of him. “Where, let me see?”
“Right here….” Joe smirked and jumped on his shoulders, sending Sav under the water. He came up sputtering and lunged for Joe who was swimming away.
Evelyn could here them getting closer to her in their play.
“Wait Joe…time out.” Sav yelled.
“What for, because I’m winning?”
”No….I can’t breath and I want to do this.”
“You don’t need to br…” his words were cut off by Sav’s mouth covering his. Their bodies rubbing together as Joe moved them through the water. The kiss growing more passionate as they went. Joe pulled away and licking the salty water from his skin on the way to his sensitive throat.
“Having fun fellows?” Evelyn said as they floated by.
“The best.” Sav replied, his voice much deeper now than she could remember hearing before. “He’ll be right back… promise.”
Evelyn didn’t mistake Sav’s fangs showing. The light of the full moon reflected off them. From Joe’s position at his throat she knew that he was taking his blood. Without being noticed she floated just behind them…watching. Sav now had his fangs buried in Joe’s neck and maneuvering them the beach.
Joe crawled backwards out of the water. Their lips locked together again. Joe stopped and Sav pushed him down on his back then lay on top of him. Evelyn couldn’t tear her eyes from them and realized that their display of passion for one another was turning her on.
Sav finally had to force himself to pull away. If they went any further, everyone on the beach would see them in a very intimate way that is better kept from their eyes. Sav sat up straddling Joe waist. He ground his hips down feeling how hard Joe was underneath his trunks. Joe moaned from his movement and gripped Sav’s hips to push up harder.
“Not out here, too many eyes watching us.” Sav told him as he glanced around.
“Then let’s go inside.”
Sav leaned back down and kissed him. “Not tonight, you need to spend some time with Evelyn.”
“Your right, I do. I promised I wouldn’t forget about her while we were here.”
“Your going to keep that promise too.” Sav ran his lips across his. “I have something to give you before I go.”
Joe’s eyes flew open. “You’re leaving, but we just got here, where are…?”
Sav placed his fingers over his mouth. “I’m not going anywhere. Just to meet someone further down the beach.”
“It’s not Nick is it?”
“No, he’s gone for the week.”
“Good…so what do you have for me other than this?” Joe jerked his hips upward, grinning wickedly.
“Oh yeah…..you can make me forget anything you know that.” Sav started digging in his front pockets, then the back ones. “Where did I…ah here it is.”
Joe watched him fumble with the wet paper, unwrapping what ever it was he wanted to give him.
“Um…this may seem silly but I… shit… it’s… never mind forget I even…” Sav made to stand but Joe grabbed him around the waist holding him in place.
“No you don’t, get back here and finish what you were saying.”
“I feel stupid Joe.”
“Well your not, just say it.”
Sav groaned and drew in a deep breath. “I wanted to… to give you this a few years ago. But the time never seemed right.”
Joe propped himself up on his elbows. He noted the shyness in Sav’s features and the way he stumbled over his words. ‘He hasn’t acted like this around me in a very long time.’ he thought. “What is it Sav?” he finally asked prompting him to go on.
“It’s um….you don’t have to take…I mean wear it if you don’t want to. I just wanted to give it too you to show my… eternal love for you, my commintment.” His last words were just above a whisper and Joe almost didn’t hear him.
Joe glanced down at his hands and saw the silver rings he was twirling around in his finger. He reached up to still his movements to get a better look.
"I had them special made for us. See, I have a matching one and look here. See how the bands intertwine around each other, then the infinity symbol. It represents us and our life together.”
Joe took the ring and looked at it closer. “I don’t know what to say. This is a complete surprise. I never expected anything like this.”
“You…you don’t have to wear it. I’ll underst…”
”No… I do.” Joe said and slipped it on his ring finger of his right hand. “Thank you. I’ll always treasure it.” He sat up a little further and kissed him deeply. When he pulled away Sav slipped his on the same hand and finger.
“Well, I think I’ve made a fool out of myself long enough.”
”This was not a gesture of foolishness Rick. But one of undying love we have.”
Sav smiled broadly, his eyes twinkling. “Thank you for accepting this, it…it really does mean a lot to me.” Sav kissed him one more time before he stood. “I have to go. I’ll see you in a little while.” He strode away leaving a still surprised Joe somewhat speechless at what he just gave him.
Joe turned to watch him stroll down the beach, spinning the silver band on his finger. Smiling to himself he looked closer at the ring. It’s true what Sav said about the intertwining bands, it did represent their life together in every way. Everything they had endured to get to this point. Joe also saw it as a promise of the future for them and whatever they may face together.
Evelyn sat down beside him in the sand. “Hey.”
Joe looked up at her still smiling. “Hi.”
“I know that smile isn’t for me. I saw the two of you talking. Must have been something really good to have you smiling like that.”
“It’s not so much as what Rick said, but what he did.”
“Other than to almost make love to you right here on the beach for everyone to see. I can’t imagine what else he did.”
Joe shrugged his shoulder, then held out his hand. “He gave me this.”
Evelyn took his hand and brought it closer so she could see it better in the dim light. “Joe it’s beautiful. Why did he give it to you?”
“He wanted to years ago, but never found the right time. It represents our love and life together.”
”That’s so sweet of Sav. I can’t help to think it has more meaning to it.”
”Like what?”
”Like…maybe he’s going to ask you to marry him.”
“What? No…that’s not what he meant by this. It’s just a simple gesture of our eternal love. Same thing he told me.”
“It was still sweet of him.”
“Yes it was.” Joe said. “Come on…I’m yours for the rest of the night. Let’s go swimming.” he stood and took her hand to pull her to her feet. Trudging out into the water up to Joe’s chest, he pulled Evelyn into his arms. She snaked her arms around his neck to hold on as he slowly moved through the water.
Evelyn rest her forehead to his, her fingers tangled in his hair at the nap of his neck. She pulled a little to tilt his head up to kiss him. Probing her tongue for entrance to meet his. Wrapping her legs tighter around his waist, she ground herself on his growing hardness.
“Evelyn…keep that up and we’ll never get out of this water.”
“It adds to the feeling on our bodies.” She told him and loosened her hold to where she could squeeze her hand between them. Pushing his trunks down his legs. Her hand went around his cock and began to stroke him. Joe worked on her bikini bottoms.
He held them out of the water. “Don’t want to lose this.” He smiled and pulled it up his arm. Evelyn released him, her legs wrapped around him. Joe came down hard on her mouth, his hands on her bum, lifting her to slip himself into her waiting heat. A deep growl mixed with her softer one. Evelyn leaned back in the water. Joe was pushing the top of her bikini up to get at her taunt nipples that were still below the water. Evelyn watched him duck under and closed his lips around her breast.
The buoyancy of the water causing their movements to be slow and agonizing, causing Joe to became frustrated. He pulled Evelyn tightly to his chest.
“This isn’t working.”
“Why did you stop? Feels good.”
”It does, but I can’t touch you the way I want to. Hold on.”
“Whe…where are we going?”
”To our bedroom.” Joe quickly scanned the beach to see where everyone was.
“Not like this Joe. Somebody might see us.”
“It’s too dark…up there,” he grinned. “They won’t see us.”
“You mean…”
”Yes…ready?”
Evelyn held on as Joe lifted them from the water and flew toward the house in the shadows. No one had seen them go over to the side of the house where their bedroom was. Joe never let her go as they fell on the bed in a wet heap.

“I’m going for a walk.” Amber announced as she got up.
“Want me to go with you?” Kelsey asked.
“No that's ok. I have something I need to think about. I won’t be long.” Leaving the house and the others behind, Amber ambled down the beach. She stopped several times to look around and questioned herself why she was even doing this. But the need to know and something she has always thought about drove her forward. Her heart racing in her chest at what was to come.
The hard body from behind took her by surprise. The arm that held her around the waist and the gentle hand that clamped over her mouth to stifle the scream.
“I’ve been waiting for you.”
Amber closed her eyes at his deep sultry voice causing her heart to beat faster. The coolness of his skin pressed to her bare back. His lips softly running along her neck, sending shivers throughout her body. Nudging her forward, Amber let him led her toward the trees off the beach. By the time they had reached the very small clearing, his hands were kneading her breast. Pinching her nipples, her body was on fire wanting more of his touch, too touch and feel him under her fingers, her lips taste his salty skin.
Amber opened her eyes to see the thick blanket and a few glass-covered candles protected from the light breeze that blew threw the underbrush. She turned in his arms looking up to his sparkling blue eyes.
He kissed her, a butterflies touch on her lips. “Are you sure this is what you want Amber?”
“Yes. I’ve wanted this for a long time.” Her fingers skimmed down his chest to the button on his cut off jeans. Her lips teased the sensitive skin on his neck as her hand dived inside his shorts. He sucked in his breath from the warmth of her hand. Leaving his throat, Amber went lower on his chest, capturing his nipple between her teeth, flicking her tongue over it. Her hand stroking his growing hardness.
He was losing all sense of control. He had longed to be with her since that first blood kiss. To take it further, to feel her wither under him, to see her flush with desire, hear her scream his name as he brought her pleasure at is hands. To taste every part of her. To bring forth the burning passion just behind the green of her eyes. But another pair of green eyes swam in his mind. He tried to push them away and failed. ‘If I let my desire for Amber take over. I’ll be damned in his eyes. It would ruin everything we have built, maybe become enemies.’
“Amber….” He moaned when the heat of her tongue trailed over his throat. He began to shake his head, thoughts of losing Joe if he let this continue, pounding in his mind. His guilt quickly melting his resolve, he gathered every ounce of strength to still his movements and gently push her away.
His eyes still closed he took a deep breathed and opened them to see the questioning look in her eyes. Sav lightly caressed her cheek, holding her gaze, he softly said, “We can’t do this Amber. I can’t do this.”
“Why? I’ve wanted you so long Sav please…make love to me.” Amber pleaded.
A small smile touched his lips, “So have I, but we can’t.”
Amber leaned forward and kissed him. “Please I want this. I want you.”
“No…I’m sorry. If I made love to you, right here, right now… Joe would be devastated if he found out. He let it go with Nick, but not me.”
”I can make him understand.”
”He wont listen, not this time. I’ll lose him forever if I gave in to my desire to be with you. And I will not do that, not for you, not for Nick or anyone.”
“I know you love my father Sav, but you can’t let him run your life.”
“He doesn’t.”
”Then stay here with me tonight please.”
Sav cupped her face between his hands, kissing her softly on the lips. “As much as I want to…I can’t. But know that I do love you, very much.”
Amber stepped away from him, looking at the ground. “Then why did you ask me to meet you here?”
”Don’t be mad Amber. I thought I knew what I wanted.”
”I’m not mad, hurt maybe, but not mad.” She looked up at him then. “You’re right. We can’t give in to what we want. Too many people would be hurt.” Amber moved closer to him and put her arms around his neck and Sav’s went around her waist. They stayed that way a few minutes holding each other.
“You should get back before some one comes looking for you.”
“Ok.”
“I’ll wait a few minutes before I go back.” Sav tilted her head up to catch her eyes. “It’s for the best.”
Amber nodded slowly. Turning from him, she made her way back to the beach and walked slowly to the house.
Sav took a deep breath to get his body under control, then blew out the candles, folded the blanket, tucking it under his arm. He glanced around the small clearing, thinking what might have been between them. Never again would he let his desire for Amber get the better of him. He had to put all thoughts of her in that way safely locked away.
