***PART 2***
Marshall looked at her in confusion. Was she serious? He didn’t mean to be vain about it but how could she not know who he was. This was California right?
“You don’t know who I am?” Marshall asked, reaching up to remove his sunglasses.
Ally looked at him closely. The first thing she noticed was his eyes. They were so blue and full of emotion. She thought he looked vaguely familiar , but couldn’t tell from where.
“Have we met before?” Ally frowned.
“Ughh, no. We neva met before. But I gotta be honest here, I’m in shock you don’t recognize me.”
“Well should I?” Ally laughed, “Are ya famous or something?”
Marshall raised his eyebrows. “Well yea.”
“What?” Ally asked in shock.
“Ever hear of Eminem?” Marshall questioned softly.
Ally’s eyes widened and she gasped in surprise. “Oh my god! Eminem…your…Oh my freaken god! Now I know where I’ve seen you!”
“Shit, glad to know you didn’t just crawl out from under a rock or something.”
“You’re so modest.” Ally laughed. “I just don’t get to listen to music much, but Brian has your CD’s and is always listening to you. But I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to insult you or…”
“Nah it’s cool. I was just surprised. Not many people can say they don’t know who I am. I didn’t mean it like that though.”
“Ok…but um, don’t you have places to be? Like more important places then…well…The Cuppa Joe’s”
Marshall laughed again. “Not really. I did all that being famous shit before, now I’m just Marshall.”
“Oh, well if you don’t mind me asking, what are you doing here?”
Marshall grinned, “Well if ya promise not to leak shit to the press I’ll tell ya.”
“Oh no, I wouldn’t…”
Marshall made a show of looking around before he signaled her to move in.
“Aight, the reason I’m here is…you *sure* you aint gonna say nuttin?”
“Promise.”
“Well, between me and you then…I’m here getten coffee.” Marshall said, whispering. He laughed at the look on her face and sat back in his chair.
Ally smiled softly before shaking her head.
Just as Marshall was about to comment, he noticed his driver making his way to the door. He knew he needed to leave by four so he could pick Hailie up. Normally she didn’t travel with him much, but since school was out he’d taken her along. Now he just had to make sure he picked her up from Dre’s. If he was even a few minutes late, she’d throw a fit. It wasn’t that she was spoiled, but ever since that shit with Kim, she had issues. She needed to know where he was all the time and always needed a way to contact him. He figured she was just worried he might disappear on her. But she should have realized it would take something big and powerful to keep him away from his baby. And even then, he guaranteed a knock down, drag out fight, of which he was sure to be the winner of.
“Shit. Listen Ally, I gotta jet.”
“Oh sure, well it was nice meeting you.”
“Yea. Thanks again for your help.” Marshall said, standing up.
“No problem.” Ally laughed, picking up her book again.
Just as she was about to start reading again she heard her name being called. Looking up, she noticed Marshall quickly making his way back over.
What the hell are you doin dawg. Your gonna get yourself into trouble. She’s just another bitch and you aint thinken with nuttin but your dick. Marshall thought to himself as he made his way back over to her. Whatever! Shut the fuck up!
“We still on?” Marshall asked, standing next to her.
“What?”
“We still going out? I mean, hell, I promised and shit…”
“Um…I….are you…”
Marshall smiled and grabbed a pen from his pocket. He quickly scribbled his cell number on a nearby napkin and pushed it in front of her.
“Call me in like an hour and we’ll make plans.”
“Um, ok.”
He grinned and quickly made his way back to the door. Ally sat there in shock, looking at the napkin. Was he for real? Did he really want to go out with her? Ally smiled suddenly. Eminem wanted to go out with her! Who woulda thunk it?
