Running around in circles as Britney waited to be saved. After a few moments of becoming dizzy, she heard footsteps. Immediately turning towards the dark tunnel and stared deep inside, she became a bit cautious as the steps became louder. She covered her eyes hoping the “you can’t see me if I can’t see you” effect would work. She shrieked back when she felt a hand placed on her shoulder.
“You Britney?” The unknown voice asked as the hand left Britney’s shoulder.
Britney balanced herself after nearly falling and had her face meet the floor.
“Yeah I’m Brit…” She got cut off when the man walked into the light. She felt her face flushed a bright red when she saw who the man in front of her was. He let out his hand in a greeting manner.
“Hi, I’m Gerard Way. I was sent to save you from your confusion.” Britney shook his hand and had the biggest smile on her face.
Gerard smiled back and wrapped his arms around her shoulders. Britney turned a bright, bright red and squeaked.
“Let’s go, we’ll talk on the way back.” Britney had a cheesy “girl in love” smile on her face.
“I’m Britney by the way. How did you manage to find me so fast?” Gerard smirked.
“You know how you said you saw the carving saying, ‘Dragon Slayer’?”
“Yeah”
“I carved that before the concert.”
“Oooooh, that’s how!” They started walking in the correct direction to their destination.
“So Britney, how’d you like the concert?”
“It was awesome! I love your music!”
“Thanks. What other bands are you into?”
“Um…Green Day, Evanescence, Black Sabbath, Nirvana, lots of rock!”
“We toured with Green Day. They’re friends of ours.”
“They’re handsome.”
“What about me?”
“YOU’RE HOTT!!” Britney’s face became the reddest it has ever been in her life.
She started giggling at her outburst and couldn’t believe she had said that to his face. She covered her face as she laughed at her stupidity as a hiccup escaped from her. Gerard turned to her and laughed a bit.
“That was random. Besides I’m not that good looking.” He stood in front of her and removed her hands from her shy face. “You’re way better looking than I am.” Britney smiled and tried to hide her face, again, but this time Gerard didn’t let her.
As they continued walking, they began to get to know each other. Gerard did most of the talking. Britney was more on the shy side and answered simple questions like where do you live and what her favorite movie is. Their destination wasn’t far but became long due to the constant stopping for mild conversation about family, friends, and interests.
They finally arrived to the backstage lounge where it seemed very empty. Gerard looked around and shrugged when he saw no one was there; then he led Britney towards a small table. She lunged at it once she saw the tiny chocolate bits along with a variety of beverages.
“CHOCOLATE! A girl’s best friend!” Britney laughed.
Gerard was about to pour himself a drink before they both went silent as they heard what seemed to be a loud argument.
“What’s that?” Britney asked confused. Gerard sighed.
“Don’t tell me they’re at it again?”
“Who?”
“Two friends of mine. Let’s go outside and break it up.” Gerard went outside as Britney followed behind him.
