The first thing that had struck Steve about Matt was not his height or his tan. It was the way Matt’s eyes swept had up and down his compact body in an appreciative gaze. It still gave him tingles to recall it.
He had been promptly distracted by Breck, the director, who made brief introductions. Then Breck had uttered those fateful words. “Make sure the friendship is real, I want to believe it.”
Steve had looked at a grinning Matt, who quirked an eyebrow at him. “Beer?”
With a nod Steve followed Matt out of the room and into an adventure.
