I spent the rest of the afternoon showing the two of them around town. My manager was very happy that I had the connections that I had with the two famous men. He said that he knew it would make them feel more comfortable with doing this for us. We went immediately to get some food since Orlando and Johnny were starving. We went to my favorite small diner. Johnny climbed into the booth. Orlando held out his hand in order to let me enter the booth first. He then climbed in after me and put his arm around me and squeezed my shoulder.

“Didn’t I tell you, JD? She is beautiful!” Orlando beamed to his friends. I felt my skin grow hot under both set of eyes. “She is Orli. Kat, you did know he is a nerd, right?” I laughed at that very true statement. “Yes, but we have to love him all the same.” A waitress came up to the table. She just stood there and stared at us. I wasn’t sure if I should say something. I was relieved with Johnny took the initiative to break her out of her trance. “Love, we are very hungry. Can we please place our order?” He winked at the astonished blonde who licked her now very dry lips. “Oh yes … of course. Sorry. I just love you guys! What can I get you?” We ate our lunch with laughter and chatter. Orlando was so excited to finally meet me. He said that I was just like he imagined. The funny part was that the pictures I had sent him were a few years old. He said that he liked me the way I was now.

After lunch, Johnny excused himself to make a call to his family. I looked over to Orlando who was staring intensely at me from the back of the booth seat. “What?” I asked with anticipation. Orlando leaned forward and pulled my hand to his lips. “I missed you, Kat.” I smiled at his beautiful face. “We talked only a few days ago, sweetie.” He leaned in and kissed my cheek. “Not enough Love!” I cannot explain the feeling that was surrounding that booth. It was almost heavy with anticipation. We talked several times over the net about ourselves and our wishes to meet. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to him over the net. He always had a way of making me feel special. He also wanted to know how I felt about projects he worked on. I was very open with him and he respected that about me. Sitting next to him was too much though. I wanted to grab him just to feel and taste him. I think he knew exactly what I was thinking. “Penny for your thoughts, love.” I snapped to attention at the sound of his delectable voice. “Nothing, Orli. I guess I never thought I would meet you in person. Yes, I wished for it but with your schedule, I just thought it would not happen.” Orlando pulled me closer to him. “I am glad it finally did.”

Johnny came back to the booth with a smile on his face. “How are the kids, JD?” Orlando asked. Johnny smiled bigger, “They are wonderful. I miss them so much. Did I interrupt something?” I could feel the heat returning to my cheeks. Orlando took the cue from his friend. “No mate. Just catching up!” he said as he squeezed my shoulder tight. I cannot say that I wasn’t disappointed. I did not expect any other reply but I guess I was hoping. Hoping for what I am not sure.
