My Babies Daddy
Just as Amanda and Elijah were leaving Nikki’s apartment, that she had be renting whilst she stayed to do the final promotions for Hairspray, Zac arrived. Amanda told him “Be careful, as she is really a mess in there.” Zac nodded.
Before he could knock on the door, Elijah pulled him to one side and said “Listen pretty boy, I have no idea what’s been happening between you and Nikki, except for what I over heard tonight. But please don’t cause her anymore heartache, I honestly don’t think she could take it right about now, and of course there is the baby to take into consideration. The less stress she gets the better.”
Zac sighed and ran a weary hand though his hair and replied “I won’t. I’ve only come here to finally tell the truth, and let Nikki know how I really feel.” He added “Besides, this time tomorrow me and Vanessa will be officially over. I’m going to see her in the morning, and we’re going to talk and finally clear the air, before we can part on good terms, I’m hopping.”
He concluded “Vanessa agrees with me, mine and her relationship has well and truly been over since during filming hairspray. We’ve just been going though the motions. She’s in love with Phillip, you know, the guy who played fender. And me, well I’m obviously in love with Nikki. It’s high time she knew this, I intend to make sure she knows it before the night is through.”
Amanda walked up to them and sighed, as she asked “How are you dealing, considering you’ve discovered not even a couple of hours ago, that you’re going to be a daddy?” Elijah couldn’t help but smirk when his friend paled.
Zac glared at Elijah when he saw the dark skinned boy was smirking at him, causing that smirk to only widen. Zac sighed and replied to Amanda’s question. “I don’t really know. All I know is I’m with Nikki, and this child, if she’ll let me.”
He scrubbed a hand across his face and added weakly “Its just more then a little daunting you know I’m only twenty and Nikki, she’s even younger at eighteen. I never imagined I’d become a parent at the age of twenty. So yeah, I’m practically shitting myself here.”
Amanda smirked and commented “Perhaps if you’d not got caught up in slipping it in, you’d have remembered to have used a condom. Of course you are male after all, and you lot all think with the wrong head entirely.”
“Hey!” both Zac and Elijah exclaimed indignantly. Zac glared at her reproachfully, as he replied to her not so subtle jab at him not using a condom when he and Nikki had slept together.
“Like Nikki told you tonight, it was all in the heat of the moment. We weren’t thinking. My emotions were all over the place, and the only thing on my mind at the time, was how damn badly I wanted her, and didn’t want to let her go. So excuse me.”
Both Amanda and Elijah instantly sobered, realising they were walking on dangerous ground, when Zac was less then calm. Zac was not very volatile by nature, but could dish out what he received in spades, when suitably provoked. Both knew they better call it a night before Zac really let loose on them.
Once they had said goodbyes, and that they would text each other tomorrow, Amanda and Elijah left for the apartment Elijah and Amanda had been sharing whilst they stayed for the final premiere and promotion. Zac took a deep breath and lifted his hand to knock.
He could hear the muffled sound of shuffling from behind the closed door. A few seconds later, the door opened to reveal.
