Fools Rush In

Lily Blonsky laughed at her cousin affectionately, and told her “Don’t worry Nikki, I won’t tell Aunt Karen and Uncle Carl, that you were drinking. I swear. As the saying goes, what happens in Mexico stays in Mexico, or in this case, Las Vegas.”

Nikki sighed, shaking her head in defeat, knowing when she had been beaten. The only reason they were in Las Vegas in the first place, was because Lily, Nikki’s twenty two year-old cousin, was getting married the following weekend.

Nikki was only allowed to attend without her mother being present, was because her Aunt Gail, Nikki’s dad’s younger sister was with them. Plus Heidi was as well, who was twenty six. She is Lily’s older sister.
They were joined by Lily’s best friends, Katie twenty, Hannah twenty, and Estella who is twenty three, and finally, Nikki’s best friend Stacy who sixteen.

Nikki giggled as she eyed the sign Hannah had pinned to the back of Lily’s wedding dress. It said in large neon pink letters “AN INNOCENT, SOON TO BE A BRIDE!”

Her cousin was not in the least innocent. She already had two children and had a third on the way. She was four months pregnant. And she was finally getting around to marrying the father of her children.

Nikki looked down at what she was wearing. She was dressed in a white long sleeved dress. The bodice was a corset, while the sleeves were made entirely of lace. She looked lovely with her dark brown hair placed in curls all the way down her back.

Lily, who was eccentric at the best of times, had insisted they all dressed in wedding dresses for her hen night. Nikki felt foolish, but she loved her eccentric cousin dearly, and only wore it to keep her happy.

They were going to eat in a restaurant before heading back to Lily’s hotel room to raid the mini bar. Well, at least everyone, except for Lily and Heidi were going to. Lily was four months pregnant and much to Nikki disbelief, Heidi was also pregnant, seven months along in fact.

Plus they couldn’t exactly go clubbing, as Nikki, Katie, Stacy and Hannah were still underage. This meant their only option was the mini bar back at their hotel room.

At the restaurant, Nikki and the others shared a table in one of the far corners. And two tables down sat Zac, Lucas and Corbin. They had decided to spend the rest of their four day weekend in Las Vegas. Well, it had been Lucas’s idea, but Zac and Corbin more then agreed. Like come on, it was Las Vegas. How could they not possibly agree?

Zac and Corbin had only been allowed to attend because David, Zac’s dad had decided to take his and Dylan’s weekend to Las Vegas. Dylan didn’t care that his dad was only keeping an eye on his older brother, and Corbin.

He was happy to just be in Las Vegas. The opportunity for the early teen did not come along on a regular basis. He took what he could, and took advantage when presented with such an occasion.

Zac just hopped his dad remained invisible to a certain extent. He was eighteen, not eight. Besides he needed to let off some serious steam that Vanessa had left him with. Seriously it wasn’t even the least bit amusing.

He wasn’t the only one either. Lucas was trying to avoid Ashley. They had had a bust up in true Ryan and Sharpay Evans style on a spectacular scale. This was after Lucas had caught her hitting on Zac for the umpteenth time.

Yeah, Ashley had a lot in common with Sharpay Evans, namely who more then tiny soft spot for a certain Zac Efron, or in Sharpay’s case, Troy Bolton. The Irony was far too much for Lucas to stand any longer.

Lucas did not blame Zac, knowing the younger guy did not return Ashley feelings or her advances. If anything Zac made a noticeable point of trying to not be placed next to Ashley during filming the first HSM.

Naturally Zac wouldn’t be liable to ever forget the proverbial fireworks that had accompanied that confrontation. It would be something to tell the grandchildren and great and several more great grandchildren.

And to make the situation even more complex and screwed up, Ashley was on Vanessa’s side in regards to the nude photo scandal and Vanessa cheating on him with the photographer of the photos in question. Naturally Lucas was well and truly on his side, which was something Zac was seriously grateful for.
