Mk. so, fair warning: this story is gonna have a lot more ups and downs than normal because it's high school. and we all now drama is high school's middle name, well, if it had one. idk, the littlest things seemed so much more important then, you know? lol, and yea harry potter is sooo a great literary work. in all seriousness though, who's pissed about them moving the release date of the 6th movie until next June? *raises hand* dumbasses, but oh well. and willriley, i have to admit, i've never actually seen that movie, so i can't tell you one way or another if this is going to be in anyway like it, lol, sorry. and, i think that's all i was supposed to say, if not, just throw something at me, it's fine, so, anyway, enjoy.

"Hi," Carrie smiled nervously as the girl that was supposed to show her around walked up to her at the end of the class along with her friend. "I'm Carrie."
"Kelly," she replied. "This is Ashley."
"So, um, where do I go from here?"
"Well usually we don't go to our lockers until after third period because we have a fifteen minute break, but I need to go get something, so just follow me," Kelly replied. "You have your schedule?"
"Yea," Carrie nodded, following the two girls down the hall. She pulled the piece of paper out of her pocket, handing it to Kelly over her shoulder. She watched as multiple people nodded or said 'hi' to the girl in front of her as they walked down the hall.
"You have fourth and last hour with me too," Kelly commented, looking at the schedule before handing it back to the new girl as they reached her locker.
Carrie watched her curiously as she opened the door, "Do you, um, do you always dress like that?"
Kelly looked out from her locker, "Do you always dress like that?"
"I'm sorry," Carrie quickly apologized. "I didn't mean to offend you."
"Offend me?" Kelly asked, pulling out the extra pair of shoes she kept in her locker and slipping them on.
Ashley just shook her head as this girl dug herself a bigger hole.
"Look, I don't know what you think," Kelly began. "But I'm not some charity case that can't afford clothes, and I'm not some trouble maker who has a problem with authority or some crap like that. I just have a problem with the fact that school is so freaking early in the morning. So don't worry, you'll be able to go home to your precious daddy today and tell him that his little girl made friends with the 'right' people, and y'all all will be able to sleep better tonight knowing that you aren't going to be corrupted, at least not by us."
Carrie narrowed her eyes, "Yea, well you can go home and tell your daddy--"
Kelly's gaze fell, "You'd better hurry up unless you want to be late for you next class."
Carrie watched confusedly as the other girl hurried away. She turned to Ashley who was glaring at her.
"What did I do?" Carrie asked.
"She hasn't heard from her dad since she was six," Ashley replied, before rushing off after her friend to make sure she was ok.
Carrie sighed. It looked like she would have to find her way to her next class on her own.

Carrie stepped out of her next class with a headache. She had gotten there fifteen minutes late and had to listen to the teacher lecture for five more minutes about the vitality of being punctual before she could explain that she was new.
"Hey," she heard a southern drawl behind her.
Carrie turned to find Kelly standing there, waiting for her, "Look, I'm so sorr--"
"Don't," Kelly shook her head. "It's fine."
"I'm surprised you came," Carrie admitted, hurrying to catch up with her as she started to make her way down the hall.
"I said I'd show you around," she shrugged. "I don't like going back on my word."
Carrie nodded.
"Besides," Kelly said, stopping and pulling Carrie off to the side. "I wanted to apologize. I was being really bitchy to you earlier, and you didn't deserve that. I didn't want you to get the wrong impression. I'm usually not like that. Sarcastic, yea...but I was being flat out mean, and I'm sorry."
Carrie smiled, "It's ok."
"Good," Kelly nodded before starting to walk again. "How was your class?"
"Sucked," she sighed, adjusting her book bag.
"It'll get better. Mr. Johanson is a pretty cool guy as long as you're not late."
Carrie looked over at her.
Kelly laughed, "Yea, you're screwed."
"But I'm new," she pointed out. "He can't hold that against me."
"You'd be surprised."
"Besides, I was kinda guideless," Carrie reminded her.
"Sorry," she smiled. "I'd talk to him for you, but he isn't exactly my biggest fan."
"The late thing?"
"Oh yea."

Carrie let out a sigh of relief as soon as the bell rang. That had to have been the most boring math class ever. Math itself was already boring, but the fact that her class at her old school had been several chapters ahead of this one just made it all the more worse.
She found herself looking around for the quirky Texan as she stepped out of the class. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to spot her in the sea of people that passed. Whoever said that everything was bigger in Texas had been so right. She felt like a midget compared to all these people. She knew trying to find Kelly, who was at least an inch shorter than her, would be near impossible.
"Hi," she heard an unfamiliar voice greet as somebody walked up to the side of her.
Carrie turned to find several girls who all looked eerily alike standing there. They had their hair and make-up fixed perfectly and were all wearing the same superior smile.
"Hey," Carrie smiled.
"I'm Stacey," a red-head greeted.
"Carrie," she nodded.
"So, you're new here?"
"No," Carrie heard a velvety drawl answer sarcastically from behind her. "She just used to be a guy, but decided she'd rather wear a skirt...so here we are."
"Kelly," the red-head smiled. "You had a good weekend?"
"Yea," she nodded, standing next to Carrie.
"I didn't see you at my party Saturday."
"Yea, sorry, I had to pick up an extra shift at work."
"You know, I don't just hand out personal invites like I did to you to just anybody," Stacey frowned.
"I know," Kelly sighed. "But look, we've got to go. I've got to show Carrie to her locker and stuff, so I'll talk to y'all later, ok?"
"Definitely," Stacey beamed.
"Fake whore," Kelly mumbled as they walked away.
Carrie looked at her curiously.
"You don't want to be friends with that," Kelly explained.
"They seemed nice," Carrie replied.
"They're not. They're controlling and they're evil. They think they run this school with their precious little parties that only the elite few are invited to where everybody just sits around getting wasted and screwing each other," Kelly frowned. "What's your locker number?"
"Um, 435," she replied, struggling to keep up with the short girl and with the conversation. Usually the only time somebody talked like that about the popular clique was when they weren't apart of it. "But she seemed to really like you. I mean, she invited you to the party didn't she?"
Kelly shrugged as they reached her locker.
"Hey loser," Ashley greeted, walking up to the pair of them.
Carrie's face fell.
"Hey bitch," Kelly replied, showing her that it was all playful.
"So what's going on?"
"I was just explaining to Carrie about Stacey and them," Kelly replied, trying not to laugh as Carrie struggled with the combination to her locker.
"Oh, you met them?"
"Yea," Carrie nodded, frowning at her lock.
"I got it," Kelly offered, smiling as someone waved to her as they passed.
Carrie smiled, backing out of the way, "They seemed really nice, and they seemed to like Kelly."
"I think it's fear more than anything else," Ashley laughed.
"Ash," Kelly rolled her eyes as she got the locker open. "Don't listen to her. And my advice, either get a new lock, or just do like me and don't lock it. The school's locks have a mind of their own."
"Why would they be scared of her?" Carrie asked, putting her new books into her locker.
"Not really of her, more of the fact that she has more power than they do," Ashley explained.
"Hey KC," somebody greeted as they passed.
"Hey," Kelly replied sweetly.
"More power?" Carrie asked.
"Ashley, stop it," Kelly fussed.
"More people like her than them," Ashley replied.
"So you're popular?" Carrie asked, turning to Kelly.
"I have a lot of friends," Kelly replied, starting to walk to their next class. "Come to find out people respond better to somebody being nice than to somebody being a complete bitch. Go figure."
Carrie smiled, apparently she had fallen into the 'right' group of people, "So what's next?"
"Chem lab," Kelly replied. "I have it with you."
"Am I gonna need a partner for that?"
"I'll be you're partner, I mean, sorry, that is...if it's ok with you?" Kelly said, looking at her with a hint of nerves.
Carrie watched her curiously, "Yea, of course. What happened to your last partner?"
"She dropped the class," Kelly replied, looking at Ashley pointedly.
Ashley shrugged, "Chemistry is not my cup of whiskey."
"You mean tea, right?" Carrie asked.
"Hun," Kelly laughed. "You're in Texas now. She meant whiskey."
