Sara sat quietly at the foot of the hotel bed, the room an unfamiliar pitch black, and at a dangerously low temperature. She held her arms close to her body, rubbing her hands across her upper arms with a fast rhythm as she tried to add heat with the friction. She kept her gaze locked on the small path of white fog that emitted from her nose and mouth with each breath. Her stomach felt like it was full of water, the image of fish swimming around in circles filling her mind as she hunched over with a suppressed groan, her teeth clenched together as her hair fell past her shoulders to linger around her face in a sort of open tunnel of auburn strands.
She wore a plain red tank top, and baggy black bed pants, the clothes he had chosen to go to bed in. Or at least, she thought so. Her mind swerved; what had she been doing before now? “You just woke up,” a familiar voice said with a chuckle as she felt a calloused hand graze the back of her neck lightly. “How do you know what I was thinking?” She mumbled, staring at her feet in a daze, her breaths slow and steady as she tried to calm her stomach, afraid if she sat up to see who it was she was talking to, she would lose whatever it was inside it that made her feel so sick. “You said it out loud,” the voice laughed again, this time closer. She could feel his presence just behind her on the bed, though the covers or mattress didn’t seem to shift when he moved. Or maybe she just didn’t notice. She shrugged subconsciously. “Oh…” she mumbled, racking her brain for a face to match the voice of the man behind her. She knew him; she just couldn’t grasp his name. She grumbled lightly. “Would you mind telling me who you are? I’d sit up to look, but…” her voice faded as her stomach shifted again. “Ugh…” The voice laughed again, now even closer than before. She felt his breath caress the back of her neck, giving it much appreciated warmth in the room’s freezing temperature. “Why is it so co—“ she stopped short as the man behind her let his lips graze across her cold skin lightly, lingering at the curve of her neck. She felt shivers go through her body from the spot his lips hovered so delicately over all the way down to her core. His chest was pressed against her as he leaned down with her to get advantage of his angle. She opened her mouth to say something, but couldn’t find the words as he pressed his lips harder against her skin, nipping at her neck’s bridge, the action making her flinch. He laughed again. “Turn around,” he murmured, his lips moving against her skin with his words. She slowly sat up, ignoring her stomach’s protests, feeling him move closely with her. Her gaze was locked on the wall, as she looked for the courage to face whoever it was. Her mind raced with different thoughts, half of which she couldn’t even make sense of as she turned her head to look… The loud beeping of the alarm snapped her out of the dream. Her eyes opened abruptly as the annoying beeping continued. She breathed heavily, letting her hand droop over to the clock that read in a somehow mocking tone: 6:30 a.m. to which she ignored, her mind captivated by the intensity of the dream. “Fuck…” she gasped, catching her breath, feeling her lower core pulse lightly with need for contact. The rest of the time she had to get ready, she did so sluggishly. Her mind was completely preoccupied with a nagging need to know who the man was. She knew even outside of the dream his voice was familiar, but she couldn’t confidently remember it correctly. She went over many options, most of which falling into the category of ex boyfriends or old crushes, since they were typically the main subject of her dreams. But she didn’t feel satisfied with any of them.
She had made sure to wake up early enough to give herself plenty of time to get ready, knowing she wouldn’t be able to stick to just one option for what to wear, not with the knowledge that she’d be on camera. Just as she knew she would, she stood with her hair in a towel, and just her underwear on as she tried to decide. She’d chosen her cutest matching pair of white lace, feeling the need to wear something extra cute even though it wouldn’t be shown. Between the nine outfits she had placed out, she settled on a pair of dark skinny jeans and a fitted sky blue tank top. She pulled her hair back in a pony tail, leaving her bangs side swept again, thin strips of her shorter layers escaping the pony tail to frame her face. She did her makeup with natural tones of brown, with bold black mascara to make the blue in her eyes stand out against the gray. She sighed inwardly, putting on a pair of black hiking boots and grabbing the back pack she’d brought along that held extra clothes and all of the supplies the letter had said she would need for the first investigation, which was mostly just basic supplies anyone would bring if hiking or working through rough terrain. Deciding to give it a rest in trying to figure out the name of someone who could likely just be a creation of her subconscious, she set out to the front lobby where she was told to meet them. No one had shown up yet, giving her time to pull out the small list she’d made of everyone’s name that would be coming along. She squinted a bit, realizing her handwriting was even worse than she thought it would be with the rush she was in, though she thankfully remembered to write down the main jobs of the people she wasn’t so familiar with, I.E. everyone except Josh and Casey. Josh Casey Shawn-medic Jael-research Mike-audio Her eyes lingered on the only other girl’s name, remembering her as the girl who was on the show every so often, though she hadn’t been on it recently now that she had a new show, though the name of it escaped her. Part of her wanted to shy away, remembering how gorgeous she was, and she knew what she was doing unlike some of the other female stars who came on the show and were obviously there mostly just for eye candy. Her insecure moment was interrupted quickly as the lens of a camera was brought into her view, surprising her as she tucked the list back into her pocket. “So, Sara Marinna,” Josh chimed in from where he stood next to Casey who held the camera from the angle he chose best suited, “winner of the contest millions joined, what are your thoughts and expectations for working with the Destination truth crew?” As he finished, Casey took a few steps back, getting a wider scale to get the upper half of her body, making her feel uncomfortable. “Um,” she started, looking over at the others who followed and was thankfully interrupted by Jael who stepped forward. “Don’t worry, they’re not going to put this on air,” she laughed, holding her hand out to her. “I’m Jael; it’s nice to meet you.” Sara took her hand graciously, letting out her held breath with relief at knowing she wouldn’t have to talk about herself so soon on camera, “nice to meet you too.” She smiled; glad the woman was as nice as she appeared on screen. Mike and Shawn introduced themselves as well, everyone being very open and talkative, making it easy for Sara to adjust to the team. They’d all piled into the jeep, Mike taking the driver’s seat, Josh in passenger, while Sara, Jael, and Casey all took their places in the back, Jael taking the seat closest to her with an obvious intention of talking to her. Shawn had chosen to sit back with all of the luggage, insisting he needed to make sure the equipment didn’t bump around too much. “So, Josh said you’re mostly in this because you want to be an architect?” Jael questioned, crossing her legs loosely and somehow managing to talk over all of the guy’s loud chatter without needing to yell. “Yeah,” she smiled, “I want to be able to explore different ruins and structures up close.” Sara answered with a look of excitement, once again more than happy to talk about her passion. “And how many more years of school are you taking?” Casey chimed in; bringing his camera around to look at her. “I’ve got two years left.” She smiled, slowly finding it easier to just ignore the camera. “Two years out of what?” He asked, looking up at her over the camera, the eye connection making her stomach lurch. “Um, I’m just going with a four year plan,” she answered nervously; though she was sure she hid it decently and simply passed it off as still being camera shy. “I may take my studies to a new University, though I’m not sure where yet.” Casey didn’t answer, though he kept his eyes locked on her for a long moment before turning his attention back to everyone else, clearing his throat quietly. Sara looked away the second the camera was off of her, running a hand through her bangs to fluff them up a bit. She glanced back at him for a mid second before looking over at Jael who was smiling to herself. ‘Oh fuck, please don’t tell me she picked up on that…I’ll be screwed.’ She thought worriedly, tearing her gaze away from the girl and looking out the window nervously. She didn’t want to be underestimated, or be thought of as just a fan girl, though she really wasn’t. She never thought she’d actually be attracted to the guy past just thinking he was cute. She thought Josh was pretty attractive too, but she didn’t react the same way towards the man. She resisted the urge to shake her head, ‘doesn’t matter. Just think of all the structures you’ll see, and what you’ll be able to learn from Josh.’ she thought in a reassurance of determination. The jeep pulled up to the airport to her dismay, and they all piled out and grabbed whatever they could of the equipment. Sara held on to two cases made of a thick covering, obviously containing some of the electronic equipment, her backpack slung over her shoulders and her back held up straight to hide any difficulties she had with the heavy lifting. Everyone else grabbed what they could and headed into the airport to get through customs and find their gate. As asked, the camera was shut off and put away with the other checked things, while most everyone brought their personal packs as their carryons. “So, where are we going?” Sara asked, not knowing even the flight number since Josh took care of all of the tickets while they loaded their things onto the small platform that led to where it would be checked onto their plane. “Sorry, can’t tell you. Rules of the show,” Mike answered, patting her head lightly in an odd gesture she hadn’t expected. She winced a little, but not enough for anyone to notice as she let a pout take over her features. “Well that’s not fun. How are you going to keep the stewardess from announcing our destination on the plane?” She challenged, feeling accomplished for only a split second as Mike laughed. “Due to the last season sky rocketing in ratings, we have a bit of extra money. We’re taking a private plane; nothing special, but we lucked out with one that most likely won’t break down.” Mike smiled, “so the stewardess knows not to announce anything about our destination.” His kind smile changed to a bit of a grin before he turned to Josh who walked over to their group, handing everyone their tickets except her own, which he kept to himself with a coy smile. “Ready to follow a bunch of people you just met to God knows where?” He laughed, patting the two tickets against his shoulder. “Oh, yeah, I’ve been waiting all my life for a day like this.” She answered sarcastically, earning a laugh from the crew as they all headed to their terminal. --- “Okay, so at least give me a hint!” Sara pleaded to Josh who was turned around in his seat in front of her, a grin never leaving his face at the girls’ desperate need to know where she was being taken. “I dunno. Casey, think we should give her a hint?” He turned to the man next to him who was suppressing laughter, finding it all beyond amusing as she had been pleading for the last 15 minutes at the least. Casey looked from Josh, who gave a ‘subtle’ shake of his head, to Sara who nodded her head in response, biting her lower lip lightly as she held her hands tightly together in suspense of his answer. Jael was seated next to her, already passed out, hoping to get the supposedly long flight out of the way as much as possible. “Hmmm,” Casey mused, making a gesture with his hand across his chin as if he were pondering the thought deeply, “no, I don’t think so. Let her beg a little longer.” He grinned, glancing back at Sara whose jaw dropped, the reaction making Josh break out in laughter loud enough to wake up Mike who had been passed out next to a sleeping Shawn. Mike looked around a few times, blinking over and over as he tried to understand what just happened before falling asleep once more. Eventually the three settled down as well; Sara finally gave up on getting them to budge and put in her headphones, deciding to just listen to her iPod the rest of the way, or for as long as she could before she got too restless. She really hoped the trip wouldn’t be too long, she hated flying. Nearly five hours later, the pilot announced they would be landing soon, giving everyone enough time to wake up and prepare themselves to be back on land again. Everyone stretched and groaned, a few complaining about their ears, one of them being Sara. Her left ear had gotten so bad it felt nearly deaf, though she wasn’t alarmed, it happened a lot when she slept for more than just an hour or so; she grinded her teeth together, smiling at Jael who woke up with just as good of mood as she had fallen asleep with. “Okay, so our things should already be loaded into the car, and we’re going to head straight out and get started.” Josh explained, standing up just as the seat belt sign went out. Everyone agreed, just wanting to get off of the plane, which went about much faster than Sara expected, though she was used to having to wait for all of the first class passengers getting off first. She smiled softly to herself, feeling important as she followed behind Casey, trying to ignore how good he smelled as Jael kept a close pace behind her, forcing her to walk just as close to him. It was the same musky scent, the light fragrance of cologne he used filling her senses. She closed her eyes for a small moment when suddenly Casey stopped moving, causing her to run into his back, her face pressing into the space just between each of his shoulder blades. He said a quick apology without looking at her, his voice at an odd pitch. She took a small step back, unable to move much further away as Jael had stopped as well and was now looking out the window, not paying attention to Sara’s want to back up. She felt his back lightly every so often as she grazed against him, her hands holding onto each of the seats on either side of her, trying to hold herself still, feeling the jetlag make itself known in her balance. (Casey’s POV) He took slow, tiny steps as Josh took his time, stopping abruptly when the man stopped to let Mike and Shawn step out ahead of him with their things. He felt Sara’s body press up against him, his attention caught by the press of her chest to his back, making him clench his jaw against the quick breath he took in. “Sorry,” he shot out, wishing Shawn would hurry up, the man’s back pack catching on the seat. She didn’t answer, the warmth of her body pulling away just slightly as she tried to give him room. He let the breath he’d held out quietly, feeling his insides jolt each time she would graze against him, sending his mind places it didn’t need to be. The only thing he could focus on was the soft touch of her breasts each time her legs would sway, the light graze of her waist against his lower back. It wasn’t enough to get him hard, thankfully. He luckily got over the teenage years of spontaneous hardons each time a girl wore a cleavage bearing shirt or something very quickly. But it certainly was enough to make him want her, not that he didn’t already. The second he saw her at the airport his eyes were drawn to her toned legs, the tan of her skin and--despite being very petit--her rather large chest. He swallowed against his dry throat, wondering how soft her body was, wanting to send shivers all the way to her core with the touch of his hand as he would… “Casey!” Jael’s voice rang through his head, making him snap it back to look at her. “What?” He murmured, avoiding Sara’s gaze entirely. “Are you going to keep walking or what?” She asked with an irritated tone. He was surprised she didn’t start tapping her foot as she stood with her hands perched on her hips. Turning around, he saw that Josh was looking at him from the door of the plane, his brow raised. “Oh, Jesus sorry; I was thinking…” his voice trailed off as he walked to the door, following the show’s host off and onto the runway where a very crappy looking…car? That’s what it appeared to try to be. At least it had wheels. (Sara’s POV) After the oddly long wait in the isle, they finally got off the plane and onto solid ground. Sara stretched her arms up over her head, the action tugging her shirt up a bit to ride on her waist, showing an inch or so of her stomach as she yawned quietly. Her expression quickly changed to one of confusion as they all seemed to be getting into…something. It was rusty, very old, and seemed like it had once been a decent off roader. She raised her brow. “Do you guys get such shitty vehicles on purpose?” She asked loudly, walking over to press her right foot against the front tire. Josh laughed, “Nah, the world just hates us. Didn’t you know?” He grinned while hopping into the driver’s seat as Casey took the passenger. She rolled her eyes, walking over to look at the back seat, “there’s only…two seats.” She mumbled, noticing the camera was now on and was focused on her since she was the only one talking at that moment. She gulped, hopping in to see if she could sit close enough to the side to leave room for the other three, though her attempt was quickly made futile as Mike tossed some of the carryon bags he had brought into the other side. She grimaced. “Getting there probably won’t be as safe as it should be.” Josh grinned as Jael hopped into the middle of the open seat, pressing hers shoulder against the bags to keep them supported. Sara looked around confused for a moment before Shawn and Mike both hopped onto the back windows, holding onto the pole that ran up from the back of the vehicle to the front on either side, giving support for each door since there wasn’t a top; or actual windows. Just square holes, though she was sure there once had been glass there. As Josh started the engine, the entire vehicle made a loud and unsettling sound that everyone made an awful face in response to. “That sounded lovely,” Shawn commented, gripping the pole tighter as Josh set off, ignoring what was probably a warning to say that it wasn’t fit for actually going anywhere. They’d been on the dirt roads for nearly an hour, and now had set off onto what looked like an overgrown path. Leaves and branches whipped the side of the car, hitting Shawn and Mike every so often, earning swears and grunts from the two that made everyone laugh.
“So, do I get to know where we are now…?” Sara asked as soon as their current conversation came to a halt of silence. Josh jumped, “oh! Okay everyone, this part of the shooting seriously will be used, so no fucking yourselves over with stupid comments. If you can all manage that at least,” he grinned, turning over to the camera to say one of the rare bits that he actually had to rehearse. “Okay! So, Sara here is our very lucky contest winner,” he started as Casey turned the camera to look at her. She gave a small smile before it was brought back to Josh so he could continue, “And we’ve taken her to, for all she knows, some uncharted, random as hell country. This is the big reveal, which thanks to commercials you all probably already know, but she doesn’t so bare with us. Our investigation will be set in…Tikal, Guatemala!” He announced boldly, batting his hands on the steering wheel a few times before looking up to see Sara’s reaction in the rear view mirror. “…We’re that close to the U.S.?” She mused, raising her brows a bit. She was expecting it to be somewhere much further away. “What’s the investigation on?” He laughed lightly, “paranormal activity in their famous Mayan ruins.” He smiled, knowing she would appreciate it as an architect. Sara felt her stomach practically leap up into her throat, her eyes going a bit wide with excitement as she realized just how lucky she was to get to be that close to the ruins, be able to see how they were built and what techniques were used. She opened her mouth to say something but couldn’t muster anything other than a quiet laugh as she shook her head in surprise. They’d done the typical Destination Truth routine, gone through villages, asked witnesses about what they experienced which were normally farfetched stories of seeing the typical ‘lady in white’ walking through one of the ruins. Others were mostly about voices, loud chanting that would fill the forest around.
They finally settled on the last witness, which was the woman who led the tours through the village, and spoke some English as she told about how people would refuse to go in some of the ruins, or how children would point to an empty corner and claim a man was standing there, telling them to follow him. It all sounded staged to Sara. She just couldn’t believe it, though if she was asked to come along by a Mayan ghost in a corner, she’d certainly turn more towards being a believer. She laughed a bit at the thought. “You not believe any of this stuff?” Jael asked quietly. Both of them had been standing off where the camera wouldn’t catch onto their voices so they could talk, or whatever it was they wanted, which in Sara’s case was to hurry up and get to the ruins. “No, not really,” she said with a crooked smile as she shrugged her shoulders, “I’m more of a skeptic.” Jael grinned, “That’s cool, I wish I was still a skeptic. Life didn’t hold so many questions then.” She turned her head away to look at Josh, Casey, and Mike who were all listening to what the woman had to say, Casey holding the camera up on his shoulder while Mike stood off to the side with a microphone held above Josh and the woman as they talked. Sara let her gaze linger on the woman for a moment longer before looking away, considering what she said until the three men came over, Shawn joining as well, getting up from where he was sitting in the passenger seat of the car. “Okay, so sounds like we won’t have a very big area to look around in, since all of the most popular happenings tend to happen in the main pyramid and a few other smaller structures that are pretty close by. We’re going to head out there now, and we should get there in time to set everything up before nightfall.” Josh explained, waiting for everyone to agree and make sure there weren’t any protests before they set off in their pathetic vehicle again. The drive wasn’t long, though it was rather boring. No one talked as much, other than Josh’s constant complaints about how hard it was to drive. Sara would have gone to sleep if the road wasn’t filled with so many potholes. Once Mike even fell off from where he was perched on the side of the car, landing in the grass with a few tumbles. He was fine, save for a scrape on his face and arm, but he asked Casey to take the seat there after that, taking control of the camera. Sara made a face no one noticed at the thought of Casey sitting that close to her, since of course Mike was at her ‘window’. It wasn’t as nerve racking as she feared, though the wind pushed his scent right at her face, making her stomach light. They finally came to a stop where the path ended, and as expected, getting there required a bit of their own strength, since the death trap couldn’t continue. “You ready for a long hike through a forest filled of poisonous insects and dangerous animals?” Josh asked her with a grin. “…I’m ready for the hiking part,” she laughed, looking out to the dense green. He grinned, grabbing his pack and walking around to grab some of the equipment, which everyone else soon followed suit, the back soon clear of all their things. It surprisingly wasn’t as much as she thought, and most of it could be fit in their packs which most of them seemed to already know, putting the smaller cameras and other electrical devices in their bags. The only things that were left were a few other bags, which all the guys insisted on carrying, the fact making Jael and Sara both roll their eyes in unison. Once they finally set off, the forest was even denser than it looked.“Wait!” Sara shouted from her place just behind Josh, being told that she needed to stick by him to be in the show as often as possible, “why aren’t we taking the same means of getting there as tourists do when they go there?!” She asked skeptically, still freaked out by the numerous bugs and snakes she saw.
Josh laughed, “The whole place was shut down for the show. That includes the roads that lead in here; it’s to keep villagers from messing with us and tampering evidence.” She pursed her lips, still thinking they could have at least let them through, but she wouldn’t question it. She didn’t know how things worked, and she didn’t want to annoy them with questions like that. Suddenly, she felt a heavy tap on her shoulder, causing her to stop in place, startling Casey who had been behind her, filming the area around them. “What…” he started, turning to look at her before locking eyes with the small creature staring back at him. “Oh, shit. Don’t move…” “Why…?” Sara asked in a wine, terrified to even turn her head and see what was causing the weight on her shoulder. “Oh shit,” he repeated, “Jael what kind is that?” He asked, leaning down and grabbing a stick a few feet from where he stood. Sara’s head was spinning, his threatened tone of voice made her even more nervous. “Fuck,” Jael said alarmed, “it’s a Wandering Spider.” She announced; the identity of the thing that was now moving closer to her neck nearly made Sara faint. She let out a low wine, wanting to jump around and tell them to get it off, but she held back, knowing the consequences if it bit her. “Please don’t tell me I’m going to die before we even get the—“ her voice led out to a high pitched shriek as the spider’s leg brushed her bare neck. “You’re not going to die, just hold still…” Casey murmured as he angled the stick just between her neck and the spider, knocking it off in one quick motion as everyone behind him lunged to the side in fear that it would fly towards them. Instead, it knocked into a tree, falling to the ground stunned. Sara had closed her eyes and was now standing very stiffly, “did you get it?” She asked between gritted teeth. “Yep,” Casey answered, walking closer to her and running his hand over her shoulder and neck briefly, making her shiver, “and no spider bite.” He laughed, noticing her change in body language. “Good God!” She exclaimed, relaxing and shaking her arms out with a sound of disgust. She could still feel the legs of it running all over her neck and back. “No one’s in need of my services, right?” Shawn, the medic, assured, walking past Jael and Mike to look at her neck and shoulder once, glancing at Casey and checking with him that it hadn’t landed on him and bit him or anything. “We’re all good,” Casey answered. “Speak for yourself, Sara grumbled, looking over to where the spider stood frozen before quickly recovering from the sudden toss across what probably felt like miles to it. “I thought they were only found around Brazil!” She said, as if directing it at the spider to tell it that it was in the wrong place. “Maybe it came in a shipment or something, made its way out.” Jael commented, “Happens a lot.” Sara raised her brow, though now she figured that would be obvious with the numerous times those things ended up in stores. She watched as the large spider ran in circles before rushing up the tree again. “Ugh! Let’s move before it jumps on me again!” She groaned, pushing Josh lightly to make him walk forward again. Everyone laughed as they continued on, finally to all of their relief making it out from under the tree tops and to their destination as the night was just falling. “It’s about 7:00, so we need to hurry up and set everything up.” Josh said, placing his bag and the equipment he had down with a sigh of relief of losing the extra weight. Everyone nodded, placing their things down gently and getting to work, Josh showing Sara what do as he went around setting down the perimeter cameras that had been in her bag. It took them nearly three hours, the time just hitting 9:45 when they finally finished and regrouped at base camp to put on their single cameras that would show their faces, since they only had one other camera man besides Casey, which was Mike who normally took care of audio instead. “Um,” she muttered, looking at the odd contraption that looked easy enough when everyone else put it on, but when she tried to herself, she somehow managed to put it on with the camera wrapping around her side rather than over her head. Casey glanced up at her and laughed, walking over to stand in front of her. “Want help?” He asked, not waiting for an answer as he undid the hook at her side, tapping the inside of her arm lightly to motion for her to move it so he could get to it. Once he got it off, he put it around behind her, having to grab both sides and work with care so he didn’t drop it. He brought both of his arms around her waist, his face stopping just above her shoulder, the warmth of his breath grazing her bare skin numerous times. She took the moment to breathe in his smell, finding it was one of the things she liked the most. Also one of the hardest things to ignore she’d ever come across in her life. Once he got it adjusted right, he pulled away much to her dismay. He strapped the belt through, tightening it around her waist, the motion bringing him only an inch or so closer, though enough for her to see the details in his face that the dark of night had covered. The camera he had on covered his forehead and part of his right eye with his head leant down as he finished all of the other hooks, finally looking up at her, causing her to look down quickly. She waited a moment as he was reaching above her shoulder to straighten out the small camera now reaching out above her face before looking up at him again; catching sight of the grin he now had on his face. “And these just hook in?” She assured nervously, pulling the two shoulder straps over her, connecting them to the waist band. “Um, yeah,” he mumbled, looking at the straps for a moment, his gaze making her want to squirm. He reached forward with both hands, grabbing the straps and tugging down, making her shoulders jerk a few times as he tightened them. “You’re all set,” he smiled, flipping the switch on the back of the lens, turning the camera on that came with a dull light that lit up her face. “Thanks,” she smiled, flipping the switch on his own lens, the dull light brightening up his features to show his returning smile. “And thank you,” he said, turning and motioning for her to walk ahead of them as everyone else was just now coming in to regroup for the traditional ‘plan’ Josh would recite, just as he did in every episode. Casey grabbed his camera off the ground and followed behind her, setting it to record what Josh had to say. “Alright guys, we’ve got our three main structures to explore. The villagers said to beware of spending too much time reading any of the wall carvings, because the ghosts are said to get angry, so…do that as much as you can.” He laughed, “Mike and Jael, I want you guys to stay at base camp and watch the perimeter cameras. I’m going to go with Sara to the main pyramid. Casey, you and Shawn should go off to some of the more rugged ruins, which are where they say a lot of people have seen apparitions of the woman in white.” Sara nearly scoffed. Why was it always a woman in white? And white what, exactly? Or was she just a white, naked lady? Everyone agreed, and the sudden thought of Scooby Doo came to her head with how everyone was teamed up. As she and Josh set off towards their destination, she commented on it, “just like Scooby Doo.” She laughed. “What?” Josh asked in an odd tone, laughing at the random thought. “You’re like Freddy, splitting everyone up into pairs.” She laughed, looking up at the large stone pyramid a few yards in front of them. “Gotta say, I’ve never heard it, but I’ve definitely thought it.” He laughed, shaking his head as he laughed again, happy someone finally pointed it out. Sara didn’t say anything after that, her eyes locked on the structure, her stomach filled with butterflies as she finally felt the excitement of why she came in the first place. She couldn’t wait to get the investigation started. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
