Disclaimer: I do not know Jeff Hardy. I have not made any money for this work of fiction. |
It was a few weeks later. There was no sign of Jeff Hardy in Lucy's life. Every time he was on she watched and thought about that night. There is nothing Lucy could do on that one. She was just waiting for Raw to come back every Monday. Lucy just wanted to see Jeff a bit. Of course thinking about him was affecting her school work. Though thanks to Katie and Leon she didn't suffer her school work.
It was Sunday when Katie and Leon came over to Lucy's house. Lucy was just getting lunch out on the table when they walked into her house. Of course they just walked in instead of knocking.
”I would love it if once in a while if you knocked on my door before walking in.” Lucy told them when they walked into the dinning room.
Katie smiled while sitting down at the table. “But that wouldn't be us now would it?”
Lucy nodded her head getting them plates and cups. “That's true. But once in a while it would be nice.”
Leon shrugged his shoulders. “We're to lazy to knock. Plus why not. Just walk in since it is our house as well. If it wasn't for us you wouldn't have this house Lucy.”
”Yeah you don't have to remind me Leon.” Lucy said to him. “Shall we eat?”
”Yeah we should.” Leon said sitting down between Lucy and Katie.
Lucy smiled eating a little bit then her phone rang. Lucy didn't have a house phone she had a cell phone though. Lucy looked at her phone thinking who would be calling me. Lucy was surprised when she saw Jeff Hardy's name on her caller ID.
“Hello Jeff.” Lucy said into the phone as she started to get up out of her chair.
Jeff sounded out of breathe. “Hey.. good thing we exchanged phone numbers. Anyways.. I was wondering if you knew their was a pay-per view tonight in Maine.”
Lucy looked back at Katie and Leon. “No I didn't. At least I didn't know it was here. Why wasn't it announced on the television?”
“I just heard about it myself. Who knew I was fighting in it and I was just told a little while ago. Either way were you going to come. I got a good picture to draw on you if you are coming.” Jeff said.
“I wish I could but I have no way there Jeff.” Lucy said into the phone she was sure Jeff could tell she was sad about this.
Jeff laughed lightly. “Don't worry about it. I'll send a car to come get you. Just I need you're addy.”
Lucy was smiling so big now. “Of course.”
Lucy told him her address and hung up smiling bigger she couldn't believe that phone call. She must have made an impression on Jeff to have him do that. She couldn't wait to see him again. Lucy was so lost in her own thoughts that she started going upstairs to pick out an outfit for tonight.
“Hold it Lucy where are you going?” Leon's voice stopped her.
Lucy turned looking at him. “Yes Leon?”
Leon went over to her. “Where are you going?”
“Well I was going upstairs getting something to wear for tonight.” Lucy said looking at him.
Leon looked at Katie. “Where are you going tonight?”
“I'm going to the pay-per view that is on tonight. Jeff is going to have a car stop by and pick me up. That way he can paint a new picture on my arm.” Lucy said smiling big.
“You are going to leave us all alone?” Leon asked her with a pout in his voice.
Lucy shrugged “I should have asked Jeff if you two can come.”
Lucy looked at her phone and texted Jeff to ask about Leon and Katie. Nodding her head when she was done texting him smiling when she thought about having his number and being able to talk to him whenever she wanted. She actually forgot that she gave Jeff her phone number. How could she forget such a thing? Such an important thing as giving her number to Jeff.
Lucy went and sat down to finish her lunch while waiting for Jeff to text her back. She sighed when she didn't hear anything from him for a while. But of course he was most likely busy getting ready to come to Maine himself.
Lucy was so into her own thoughts that she jumped when her phone vibrated when she got the message from Jeff, looking at her phone she smiled when she say his answer.
Lucy looked at Leon then Katie. “Jeff said it's fine if you come.”
“Yeah! I get to see the wrestlers again. Maybe this time he will be there?” Leon said.
Lucy laughs lightly “Oh Leon why didn't you just talk to him while we were there last time?”
Leon shrugged his shoulders. “I just didn't want to.”
“Oh you're such a baby Leon.” Lucy said going back over to the table sitting down to finish her food.
“Like I said I just didn't want to. After all I don't think myself and him would have the same bond that you and Jeff have for one reason or another.” Leon said defending himself.
Lucy raised her shoulders a little bit. “You didn't need to act like I was saying something wrong Leon.”
To Lucy this conversation seemed to take forever. All she wanted was to be at the pay-per view to see Jeff Hardy again. She missed him will all of her heart and mind. Lucy knew Jeff had a girlfriend that he's been seeing for the longest time. Lucy never thought that Beth was the right girl for him. As long as Jeff was happy that's all Lucy wanted.
It was around seven o'clock when the limo pulled into Lucy's driveway. Lucy smiled so big but Katie and Leon where late. Lucy wasn't sure if the driver would stop to go pick them up or if they would have to miss it this time.
Lucy grabbed her keys and her phone walking out the door locking and closing it behind her. Then she saw Jeff Hardy get out of the limo. That she wasn't suspecting. Lucy stopped in her tracks looking Jeff up and down. Damn he looked good in his street clothes was all that Lucy could think about.
“Come on please Lucy get in the car.” Jeff told her lightly
Lucy nodded her head going over to the car. “Thanks for coming to get me Jeff. But I thought that um.. maybe you would be at the arena already.”
Jeff smiled lightly. “I know that I didn't tell you but I thought that you wouldn't mind the surprise. Where is Katie and Leon?”
Lucy bit her lip lightly looking down the road towards their house. “I don't know. Leon wouldn't miss this for the world. You think maybe we can stop by their house before going to the arena?”
“I don't see why not we have a little time.”
Lucy smiled lightly. “Thank you so much Jeff. You are the greatest.”
Lucy got into the limo with Jeff sitting down. “Wow this limo is amazing.”
“It's just like every other limo I've been in.” Jeff told her. “Do you know the address so that we can go get them?”
Lucy nodded her head. “Yeah I know the address but let me call them first.”
Jeff didn't fully understood what Lucy meant from that. But he wasn't going to fight with the women. That's how he is.
Lucy called Katie and Leon there was no answer as the forth ring came though the phone. That was never good. That met either something bad happened or they where on the way.
Lucy looked down the sidewalk again. “Still nothing.”
Jeff smiled lightly. “We need to go. Sorry we can't wait no longer.”
“I understand thanks anyways Jeff.” Lucy smiled getting into the Limo.
Lucy and Jeff went to the arena. Lucy didn't fully feel right about this and knew for a fact that she was going to have some explaining to do to both Leon and Katie later. But at least she was here to see Jeff Hardy wrestle and then go back stage with him getting a ride home with him. Lucy loved that she was going to spend more time with Jeff Hardy then any other fan out there.
Lucy looks at Jeff when they walked backstage. “Should I be back here?”
“Don't worry about it Lucy. You're my guest no one will bother you.” Jeff said smiling at her.
Lucy nodded her head. “Oh my it's Shawn Michaels. I didn't think I would see him. I didn't see him last time.”
Jeff nodded his head lightly. “Shawn is a cool guy. Why don't you go over and talk to him while I go find my brother.”
“Actually can I stay with you? I don't want to be alone with all the wrestlers.” Lucy said looking down at her feet.
Jeff realized that she was actually shy unlike how she was before. After all it would have been rude to leave her there talking to Shawn when he invited her. Jeff smiled lightly touching Lucy's shoulder lightly letting her know it's alright and that she could come with him.
Lucy looked up with a smile that went up to her eyes. “Thanks I'm nervous around the others. Before we go into any of the locker rooms I will not whine or anything so you can make sure everything is alright.”
“I don't think you have to worry about that Lucy. No one is getting dressed yet to go out into the ring. We have another thirty minutes before anyone starts getting ready to get ready.” Jeff said.
Lucy nodded her head. “All right but you can't leave me back here by myself.”
“Deal. I will not leave you back here by yourself until I have a match.”
Lucy smiled nodded her head once in agreement. “That's fine. I can live with that.”
Jeff couldn't help but smile at Lucy. Both of them walked down the hallways looking for Matt Hardy. So far they havn't seen him but they havn't checked every where yet. Knowing Matt like Jeff did he was most likely just getting there so they went back to the parking lot.
“I know I know Jeffro I'm late.” Matt was saying as he was getting out of his car.
Jeff and Lucy both laughed lightly at Matt.
“No bro it's alright. I just went looking for you about what ten minutes ago. Right Lucy?” Jeff asked her.
“Something like that. Hi Matt.” Lucy greeted him.
Matt looked at Jeff. “I see you found her. Have you talked to Beth?”
“Yeah I have. She's doing great. I really do miss her. Hold on you don't think I'm cheating on Beth with Lucy do you?” Jeff accused Matt.
“No bro of course not. I was just wondering if you talked to her, That's all I swear Jeffro.” Matt told his brother.
Lucy looked down. Lucy knew that Beth was the luckiest women in the world. She had Jeff Hardy after all. Lucy would have loved to have Jeff to herself. That would never ever happen though.
“Come on Jeffro let's get inside. Don't forget we are leaving right after the show is over.” Matt reminded his brother.
“I know Matt. I will be at the airport after I drop Lucy back off at her house. If I didn't then she wouldn't have a way home.” Jeff informed Matt about what was going on on how to get Lucy home since he knew that Matt would have asked sooner or later.
Matt nodded his head in understanding. “All right. Why don't I come with you guys and I can give the rental car to one of the other guys that rode in with someone else.”
“Sounds like fun Matt.” Lucy smiled at them feeling relief that Matt didn't think that Jeff was cheating on his long time girlfriend with her.
Lucy, Jeff and Matt all went to the locker room to get ready for the show. Jeff and Matt stayed with her until they had to go wrestle. When they went to go preform Lucy already had three different paintings from Jeff on her. Two on one arm and one on the other arm. Plus one that was half way done. Lucy sat there looking at the TV watching The Hardy Boyz wrestled against the Acolytes.
Jeff feel though the door. “Opps”
“You alright Jeff?” Lucy asked him going over to him.
Jeff looked up at her. “Yeah I'm fine. Thanks for asking.”
Matt came though the door helping Jeff up. “He just lost his balance. Sorry Lucy.”
“No it's alright.” Lucy smiled lightly watching Matt and Jeff go over sitting down where they where eailer.
Lucy told a set showing Jeff the spot he was working on before so that he could finish. Jeff picked up his brush started working like he never stopped.
“So when would you like to come to see us again Lucy?” Matt asked taken off his shoes.
“Anytime I can Matt. As long as you guys are here in Maine I would always like to see you guys.”
Matt recognized what was being said to him. “How much longer do you have in school Lucy?”
Lucy took in a deep breathe. “Next year I finish high school.”
Jeff stopped working looking at her. “Really? I finished high school not that long ago it was a lot of pressure.”
Lucy looked at him. “That was almost three years ago for you Jeff. You really remember finishing high school?”
“Of course I do it was a lot of stress on me. Between getting ready to graduate to working and what not.” Jeff told Lucy going back to what he was working on.
Matt looked between them. “You two are interesting to watch.”
Jeff looked at him for a second. “Why do you say that?”
“We'll talk about it later Jeffro.” Matt told him.
“Alright but I want the full story on what's going on in you're mind.” Jeff said to him
Matt shook his head. “Sure sure..”
Lucy didn't know what was going on with them. It must have been a sibling thing. Something Lucy didn't know about cause she didn't have any. Lucy just shrugged it off and got a ride home with Jeff and Matt all of them talking about the show tonight.
The limo pulled up into Lucy's driveway. Lucy sighed lightly looking at the house realizing that she didn't want to go into that house. Lucy didn't want to be alone.
“Is there anyone home? It looks dark in you're house.” Matt commented.
Lucy shook her head. “No no one is in there. I live by myself. I'm an orphan. Don't look down you two. I'm fine.”
Jeff got out the limo walking Lucy to the door. “You sure you're alright Lucy?”
“Yeah I'm fine Jeff thanks for taken me to the PPV.” Lucy informed him smiling at him.
“No problem. I'll see you next time we come out this way.” Jeff promised.
“I'll be looking forward to it. Maybe you can bring Beth with you.” Lucy said, “It would be nice to met her.”
“I'll have to ask.” Jeff told her. “Bye Lucy.”
“Bye Jeff.” Lucy said watching him go back to the limo and watched the limo drive down the road before she walked inside to get ready for the next day and for bed.
