Chapter 20: A New Adventure
"Got everything?" Ethan asked putting his suitcase in the trunk of Chris's car.
Andy nodded, "Yeah did a quick sweep of the house. We got everything. You double check your stuff?"
Ethan nodded, "You ready?" He asked with a smile and she shook her head.
"Uh fuck no! My girlfriend is a fucking lead singer of a fucking rock band and I'm just a regular fucking person! Dude I'm freaking the fuck out!"
Ethan put a hand on each of her shoulders, "Dude breathe! We're about to travel all over the country and then some! We're gonna be okay. You're gonna be okay. Like Brian said we're gonna be taken care of. Stop freaking out. Also may I add that you used the word 'girlfriend' for the first time since you asked her." He finished with a smile.
"Y'all ready?" Chris asked walking up to them.
Andy nodded and smiled at her Uncle and then Ethan. "As I'll ever be and Ethan you're right. I'm freaking out over nothing. This is gonna be one hell of a ride."
"There's the Andrea I know and love! Come on let's go have some fun." He said with a smile and patted her on the back.
He walked to the passenger side and got in. Her Uncle smiled and put his arm around her, "I'm sorry about the restaurant not being up. Didn't think the landowner would change his mind."
"It's okay, the house is amazing. Wish we could stay in it longer."
"It's alright, you're about to go on an adventure of a life time right now. I can't wait to brag to everyone that my niece is the touring photographer for a rock band. I'm also glad you picked this hobby back up. You even said if music never worked out you would always have your camera."
He pulled her in close for a hug and she returned it. "I am proud of you. I love you and I can't wait to hear stories. Now come on, let's get you to the airport. I'm sure they can't wait to see you both."
"Thank you Uncle Chris, and I love you too." They both walked to his car and got in.
"You good?" Ethan asked her as she got in.
She nodded, "Yeah, just trying to wake up from this dream."
"I know what you mean." He smiled and turned back around in his seat.
Chris started the car and they were off to the airport. Both couldn't believe this day came already. It felt just like yesterday they left Virginia to come to Georgia. Now here they were about to get on a plane to meet up with the trio and get ready to go on tour. To the both of them it didn't feel real.
They woke up this morning wondering why their phones were going off with phone calls and text messages from the trio.
At first they were confused with the text messages saying how excited they were and how they couldn't wait to see them soon. It didn't really click in their minds until Chris called Andy asking if she had her bags packed because he was on his way to pick them up. That's when Ethan appeared in her door way and the two scrambled to get their things together as fast as they could.
They couldn't believe they forgot about this day. It seemed they were just getting settled in Georgia after the move from Virginia. Andy's family came down with her and Ethan to visit with her dad's side of the family. They had a good few days together and one night by the fire after everyone had gone to bed; Chris broke the news to them that the restaurant was going to be a no go after all.
He felt horrible for moving them down there with a promise of a job. They felt bad for leaving so soon after he bought them the house.
He waved them off and told them them that it will always be their home no matter where they were. Andy was just glad to spend some more time with her family before she left tour. She felt bad for Ethan though. He had some family in Virginia and he spent a few days with them, but all of his family were in Wisconsin. Andy promised herself that she would surprise him with a trip up there as soon as this tour was over and before the next tour started.
She smiled at the thought and then her phone started to ring. She her smile grew when she saw the name. "Hey you." She said Ethan and Chris looked at each other and just smiled.
"Hey girlfriend. I'm still not used to that."
Andy chuckled and nodded, "Yeah, I know what you mean. Ethan said I used that word for the first time since I asked you."
"I can't wait to see you." Lynn bit her lip.
"Ditto. I feel like it's been a couple of years, when it's only been a month. Can't wait to hear all about your time off. I saw your posts and the magazine cover looks amazing! By the way, cute announcement with the sunglasses and all."
"Tell her that I loved her socks!" Ethan said looking back at Andy and she hook her head.
"Did you hear that?"
"Oh my God! I felt like such a goofball!"
"But an adorable goofball."
"Oh, Lord it starts." Her Uncle said and she playfully hit him on his shoulder and he just laughed.
"Anyway, I'm at the airport waiting for you two. Angel, Brian and Alex are here too." Andy gave a confused look.
"But our flight doesn't land until six tonight baby."
"I know but Brian just flew in from Seattle with Angel, plus we're waiting on Justin. His plane lands three hours before yours and I had to meet up with my vocal coach, who came in an hour ago."
"So you're spending your day in the airport? All day? Just waiting?"
"Andy I need you to shut the fuck up and get here! We need to talk cameras!" She laughed when she heard Brian's voice.
"We're on our way to the airport now. I'll let you know when we board. Thanks to Mark we get first boarding or something like that."
"Sounds good, can't wait to see you." Andy could hear the blush and smile in Lynn's voice.
"Same here babe. I'll see you in a few hours. Bye."
"Bye."
Andy ended her call and smiled shaking her head, "You would think my heart would stop pounding even after asking her to be my girlfriend."
"How long do you think the honeymoon phase is gonna last this time?" Chris asked mostly Ethan.
He just shrugged, "To be honest, this is the longest she's ever been in it."
"Shut up Ethan!" They all laughed and the two best friends couldn't wait to start this new and exciting chapter in their lives.

"Hey so Justin's delayed for another hour." Alex said walking up to them.
"Seriously?" Brian asked with a shake of his head. Angel decided to go home so she could unpack and repack for Brian. He said he would do it when he got home, but she refused because he would always forget something. She told him that she would see all of them for dinner tonight. She gave Lynn and Alex a hug, gave Brian a quick kiss and then left the airport.
Brian sat back in his seat, "What would be really funny is if Ethan and Andy come in before Justin. He had like what, a four hour flight?"
"Funny you should say that because their flight says, 'early' while Justin's says 'late.'" Alex said taking a sip of his drink.
"You think they're ready for this?" Lynn asked looking at her two best friends with a worried look. She was chewing on the cap of her pen. Alex looked back at her with a soft smile.
"They're gonna get a shock, but Mark will teach Andy how to talk to the crowd and set up the meet and greets. Terry and Cam will teach Ethan everything about the equipment. They're going to be fine."
"Plus they got us. Granted it's nerve wracking. But remember when we set out on our first tour. We didn't know much and we were really naive and just went with the flow. But now we're headlining. These two will be okay. They're going to have a great support system." Brian explained giving her a soft smile as well.
Lynn nodded, "You're right, I'm sorry, I'm just in my head again."
Alex took her hand in his and really looked at her, "Lyndsey, if there's one thing we don't want you to do too much, is get in your head. It nearly destroyed you. Now that we have Andy and Ethan, I hope things will be easier for you. We keep telling you that you're becoming yourself again and we love it. But truth be told you're also becoming a whole new person and we love that most of all. We don't know what Andy did, but whatever she did for you we're not complaining."
Lynn wiped a stray tear from her eye and smiled. Alex wrapped his arms around her and Brian joined in, "Let me get in here!" He said and they all laughed. They stayed like that for a few more minutes and let go of each other.
"This is gonna be an awesome tour. I can't wait for April now."
"Slow down there Alex, we have to get through this one first." Brian said and again they laughed.
"I can't imagine going on tour with anyone else. You two have been my rock these last few tours and helped me get through a lot. I know I don't say it enough, but thank you, I love you both."
"I guess I love you too." Alex said and Lynn playfully hit his chest.
"Yeah, I love you too. I mean you're alright I guess." Brian laughed and dodged Lynn's fist.
She shook her head and her phone started to ring. "It's Andy." She stood up and walked away from them. The two of them looked at each other and shook their heads.
"Gotta love the honeymoon phase." Brian said.
"Are they still in it?" Alex asked. Brian started to think and then started to count on his fingers.
He looked at him and nodded, "They have until June."
"What if it goes past that?"
Brian shrugged, "Hopefully Andy won't wait eight years to propose."
"Well she did wait five that one time."
"Touche."
Lynn came back over them, "Well looks like they got here before Justin. She just told me they just landed."
"How the fuck is that possible?! They weren't supposed to be here for another two hours?!" Brian said standing up and Alex rushed over to the screens to double check. Brian went after him and Lynn followed.
"Yup, says it right there, 'Landed.' While Justin's still says 'Late.'"
Alex looked at his watch and looked back up at the time of Justin's flight time. "He'll be here in the next forty five minutes."
"Come on let's go met the duo. Andy says they're getting off the plane right now and heading our way." Lynn said and grabbed their hands leading them where Andy and Ethan would be coming.

"One second, fucking brace I swear." Andy said as moved to the other side of the walkway to get out of everyone's way. Ethan followed her and stood next to her to make sure no one would bump into her. She bent down and started to adjust her brace. After a few quick attempts she finally go it to where she wanted it to be.
"How excited do you think they are right now?" Ethan asked.
Andy shrugged, "Oh I don't know. How about you take a look at my phone, and then at your phone." She said and showed him her phone of all the text messages from the trio and Angel. Ethan shook his head with a smile and looked at his phone and showed her. He had the same thing. She laughed as they continued to follow the crowd.
She looked down at her phone for a second and read the recent text message from Alex. "So apparently we came in before Justin. His flight got delayed."
"Really? Huh. That's interesting. Isn't he closer?"
"Yeah I guess." She said with a shrug and put her phone in her back pocket. They finally made it out to the common area and they were looking for them.
"Do you see them?" She asked and Ethan shook his head. They continued to look until Andy heard a squeal and then she was almost knocked down.
"Fuck!" She said out of breath and tried to laugh. But Lynn's grip was so tight she couldn't.
"Baby, I'm glad to see you too, but breathing is becoming an issue here." She said with a strangled breath. Lynn's eyes went wide and she let go of her.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry! I'm just really excited." She said as she watched Andy catch her breath for a moment. She nodded and Lynn went up to her and they leaned in and gave each other a kiss.
Ethan shook his head, "Hey guys!" He said to Brian and Alex. They hugged him just as Lynn and Andy finally pulled away from each other.
"Oh, hey you two, didn't see ya there." Andy joked and hugged them both.
"You're a dick." Alex said and they all laughed.
"More like an asshole." Brian said while laughing.
They chatted for a few more minutes, then Ethan said they had to get their suitcases from baggage claim. The trio said they would meet them down there, they were going to wait for Justin.
Andy gave Lynn more kiss and she started to walk away with Ethan. They stared after them and smiled.
"This is definitely going to be an amazing tour." Alex said as the other two nodded their heads. This tour would truly test everything friendships, relationships, and everything else in between.

"Then after that check off the name and I'll hand out the merch." Mark explained to Andy. Ethan was learning the ins and outs of the equipment from Cam. He was learning which tune the guitars should be in. He was also learning when to switch out Lynn and Alex's guitars as well as Brian's bass's.
They ran through the set list a few times and finally took a break. While Ethan was still learning the set up, Mark was talking Andy through the meet and greet set ups they heard this loud bang and looked up.
They all heard Alex scream "OOWWWWWW!" Andy saw Lynn on her phone filming. Brian just started to walk away.
"What the fuck just happened?" Ethan said rushing up to Justin who was cracking up.
"Fucker just beamed with with a bean ball!" Alex yelled. Andy and Mark were holding each other up, because they were laughing so hard. Lynn just showed them the video. She didn't capture all of it but she did capture the tail end of it.
"See we are hard at work at rehearsals. I told you." Lynn said with a laugh.
Andy nodded, "Yeah I can see that." She laughed and they walked over to Alex to make sure he was okay.
Just a few days ago they were all sitting down to dinner, trading stories of their time off in January. Lynn did video chat with Andy while she was in L.A. and Andy was able to kind of meet some of her friends.
She spent nearly two hours talking to Ally because she wanted to make sure Andy was good enough for Lynn. It wasn't until the next day that Lynn video chatted with Andy and Ally gave her the stamp of approval.
Brian and Angel told stories of Thailand and how they ran into Cam while they were there. Then they told stories of Seattle and how they wanted to check out the music scene there too.
Alex said that Mickey's and Woody's was still around. Mickey's was where the trio first met and Woody's was the first place they ever played. He told them that when he and David went to the venues people recognized him. He was even invited to play with some of the bands.
Ethan and Andy told them about their going away party, their last days at Ynot, and why her Uncle's restaurant wasn't up. Ethan showed them a video of Andy performing one last time at Mary's and then pictures of them at Rick's. He also showed them an embarrassing video of a drunk Andy at Rick's. She again ended up on top of the tables shouting how she was going on tour with the most beautiful girl in the world and she couldn't wait to see her again.
Andy ended up turning so red she covered her face with her hands and shook her head. Everyone laughed and Lynn kissed her cheek. They all had a great time at dinner, but the very next day it was straight to business. Mark introduced them to Lisa and he was right she was a sweetheart and welcomed them with open arms. She had warm eyes and a heartfelt smile.
He introduced them to Cam and Terry, the main guys in charge of their equipment, then it was Lauren's turn. She was the merch girl for them and worked the merch table when they had shows. After that it was time to meet Kim, Lynn's vocal coach.
Mark was right, there was a lot of people to meet but they were all so welcoming. The two best friends were already fitting in really well. The next week was just about rehearsals and making sure everything would run smoothly.
During breaks Brian and Andy would talk about their cameras and what programs they used to help filter out any light contamination , or how to make the picture more contrast, or how to make it sharper. Lynn rolled her eyes when she heard them talking about cameras, but she smiled in the end.
Ethan was learning a lot from Terry and Cam. He told them straight up that he doesn't know how to play anything. Just he knows how to tune everything because he did it for his dad. They told him that's all they needed. They showed him the ropes and how the stages would be set up and where everything would go. Then they showed him the instruments and what tune they should be in.
After showing him the first time around they untuned everything and they told him to give it a shot. When he was done they gave each other a surprised look and looked back at him. He just shrugged with a smile. They couldn't believe he got everything right on his first try. They patted him on his back and smiled. Cam said that drinks were on him.
When they were done with this rehearsal, they had one more and Mark came up to them and told them that their bus was here. He asked if they wanted to give Ethan and Andy a quick tour. Lynn didn't wait for Mark to even finish his question. She took Andy's hand and started to hurry out of the rehearsal space. Everyone laughed and started to follow them, but they decided to walk instead.
Lynn opened up the door to the bus and climbed the steps with Andy behind her. Still having her hand in hers. Andy smiled and watched her as she started to talk about where everything was and what they would do when they would get done with a show.
She couldn't help but hear the excitement in Lynn's voice and see the little twinkle in her eyes. She also noticed that Lynn's eyes changed color every now and then. When she was excited they would be green. When she was happy they turned hazel, when she was upset they would be a light brown. When she was angry they would be a mix of all the colors.
She noticed these changes over the Holidays but she never said anything. Maybe that's why she always got so lost in her eyes. Because of the changing of the colors and just becoming so mesmerized by them. She was brought out of her thoughts when she heard Lynn call her name.
"What?" Andy asked and she came up to her and kissed her cheek.
"I talked it over with the guys a couple of weeks ago. We get to have the bed in the back." She said taking her hand again and leading her towards the back of the bus.
Andy looked around and nodded, "Little small but I can make do."
Lynn tugged at Andy's hoodie and pulled her closer, "Make do with what?" She asked in a husky whisper.
Andy's breath caught in her throat and her head was spinning. She closed her eyes and rested her forehead against Lynn's, "God, I missed you!" She whispered against her lips. Before they could make the full commitment they heard voices and broke apart.
"It's cool they're decent," Alex called behind them.
Andy rolled her eyes, "Ha, ha, very funny." He just shrugged and started to show Ethan the bus.
"I hope you're ready to get your ass kicked in some Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed!" Ethan said.
Andy looked at Lynn, kissed her forehead, "I need to handle this."
"Bitch bring it! You know I'll own your ass like always!" Andy said and Ethan got right up in her face. The two stared down at each other while everyone else looked on with confused looks.
"I'm winning this round asshole!" Andy said.
Ethan shook his head, "I don't think so dickweed!" They continued to stare each other down until Ethan was the one to give in and Andy threw hands up in triumph.
"FUCK YES! Take that motherfucker! And the crowd goes WILD!" She cupped her hands around her mouth and mimicked crowd noises.
"This just might be the most entertaining tour we'll ever have." Brian said smiling. Alex turned around and gave him a high five and Lynn just rolled her eyes at everyone.
"Just when I thought we were all grown ups."
At this point Andy turned back to her, "I'll have you know Miss that I AM a grown up."
"Oh really, cause you don't seem to be acting like one." She said trying to hide her smile.
"Oh you wanna see me be a grown up?" She asked taking steps towards her.
"Yes please, show me how you are a grown up!"
"Fine I will!" Without warning Andy playfully tackled Lynn onto the bed and started to tickle her.
"Oh we gotta get in on this!" Alex said grabbing a pillow and brushed past Ethan.
Brian grabbed two pillows and tossed one to Ethan, "ATTACK, ATTACK!" Brian yelled. Within moments they were all in the back room of the bus having a pillow fight.
Mark and Lisa walked on to the tour bus to tell everyone it was time to come back. But when they saw the five of them having fun they decided to give them another twenty minutes or so. They smiled at each other and before they decided to walk off the bus they wanted to capture what was happening with pictures and video.
They wanted to put together a tour DVD as a present for Ethan and Andy since this was their first tour and all. With one more look at the five of them they walked off the bus and went back to the rehearsal space to start  making plans.
"Okay, okay, okay, truce, truce, truce!" Andy said catching her breath, "Knee, cramped space, kinda not working right now. Plus gotta stitch in my side. Wow I'm out of breath for no reason."
Everyone was breathing hard from laughing, yelling, trying to avoid pillow hits, and just having fun.
"I gotta tell you guys, that's to most fun we had in a while." Brian said bending over putting his hands on his knees.
Alex and Lynn nodded, "Yeah can't remember the last time we had fun like that when tour is in a few days." Lynn said catching her breath.
"Damn it! Did I miss something?!" They all turned around and saw Justin standing there with a frown on his face. They all looked at each other.  Andy was reaching for a pillow as Alex started to walk towards him with a pillow behind his back.
"You seem to miss a lot of things Justin."
"I know I'm sorry. I had to go to the bathroom when Mark said the bus was here. It's like so fucking far dude, ugh."
"Yeah, I know," Alex said with a slow nod.
Justin was looking around the bus, "Is this the same one?"
"I'm not sure, take a look at this and tell me!" Alex took the pillow and hit Justin with it. Everyone started to laugh and Justin was stunned for a moment. But he grabbed the nearest pillow and started to go after Alex.
"That's for hitting me with the bean ball asshole!" He yelled and  the pillow fight resumed. This was going to be one hell of a tour.

"So when is your dad and sister coming?" Lynn asked Andy. They just crossed over into Virginia after kicking off the tour in Atlanta. She was sitting on the couch with her legs over Andy's. While she was going through the meet and greet photos and uploading them onto the link for the fans.
She turned her head to Lynn and then looked at her watch, "He said they were leaving now. I told him that we were about another four hours out of Richmond. But he wanted to check out the Civil War Museum. He's into stuff like that. We all are really."
"Tell her about the flag in your dad's man cave." Ethan said coming from the hallway and sat down across front them.
Andy sighed and looked at Lynn, "It was actually my sister that got it for him."
"What is it?"
She again let out another sigh, "My dad has a Confederate flag hanging in his man cave. Now before you say anything about it, yes I get the 'But you're half Filipino, how does that work?' Here's the thing yes my dad is a Southerner and my mom is Filipina, but they love each other and respect each others views. I grew up both ways. So I grew up learning one way and another way and I turned out just fine."
"Huh, interesting."
"I mean when I came out I thought he was gonna say something about packing my stuff and getting out of the house. Instead he said the he suspected it, but wanted me to figure it out. So he does have an open mind about things. I mean look, both of his daughters are gay. He loves us for who we are and we wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the way our parents raised us. I always said if it wasn't for their discipline I would be in jail and Wendy would be either on her third kid by another baby daddy, or worse."
"How were you disciplined?" Alex asked.
Andy shrugged nonchalantly, "We got spanked real good. We got the switch, the wooden spoon, the belt, the hanger, the flip flop, the hand, uh we got yelled at a lot. But it was if one parent spanked us, one would take us for ice cream, it was weird. At the end of the day though they pushed me to be better and now here I am."
Lynn just stared at Andy, same with Alex, Brian, and Justin. Ethan was looking through his phone. She went back to going through the photos from the concert in Atlanta. There Lynn met most of Andy's family, her two Uncles, Step Aunt, her cousins and her step cousin along with Trevor.
They went out to lunch at her Uncle's restaurant and they enjoyed their time together. Chris brought photos of when she and Wendy were kids and Andy couldn't believe it. Luckily he didn't have any of the others that her parents had.
They were all at the show backstage and were able to say bye to Andy and she gave them hugs. Andy took pictures of her family with the trio and Ethan. She told them that she would send them copies. Chris said that he couldn't wait to get them so he could frame them and put them up in his house and restaurant. Andy and Ethan also gave the trio a quick tour of their new house and they couldn't wait for them to come and visit after this tour.
There were a few rough patches that Andy and Ethan needed to work on, but it was just nerves. They would get the hang of everything as time went on. The nerves would disappear and they would be doing everything like pros. Mark and Lisa said on their first time out they were actually surprised it went smooth. Smoother than most first timers and Andy got some amazing pictures.
"By the way, you two, awesome job last night." Brian said looking at them. Ethan and Andy smiled both saying a small thank you. Lynn, Alex, and Justin all agreed with Brian.
"Remember Matty's first time with us?" Justin asked they started to laugh. Ethan and Andy looked at them then confused smiles.
Brian caught his breath and started to tell the story, "Oh man, so this was like our last tour for White Noise and he was highly recommended by the label. So we head out to Europe to kick it off the tour and during our first show he was stumbling all over the place."
"He couldn't get through the crowd to get to the soundboard to get a wide view." Alex piped in.
"He also was supposed to help with Lynn when she got into the crowd but again couldn't get through." Justin said shaking his head.
"So when he finally figured out to get through the venue without going through the crowd he kinda got lost." Lynn told them shaking her head.
"He ended up outside and the security guy wouldn't let him in." Brian started to laugh again.
"It wasn't until Mark noticed that he was missing and found him outside arguing with the guy. Matty was so red in the face Mark thought he was going to bust a vein." Alex shook his head.
"But after Mark talked to the security guy and explained everything he apologized and let Matty back in. After the show Mark took him aside and said that he would show him ways around the venues. So that he had quick access to the spots that would be easy for him to get pictures. He was on our last tour and he was going to be on this one but he got picked up by another band." Lynn finished the story with Andy and Ethan chuckling.
"Oh I think I'll trip at some point." She closed her laptop and put her hands on Lynn's legs and slowly started to massage them.
"So what's in Richmond besides that museum that your dad wants to go to?" Justin asked.
"Um, honestly no idea. We lived about an hour away so this'll be the first time we've been. Besides Kings Dominon. I know there's the Edgar Allen Poe Museum but I'm not sure where." Andy said and Lynn's eyes went wide.
"Are you serious? If we have time we HAVE to go."
Everyone chuckled and Andy's phone started to ring. She looked next to her and saw that it was her dad calling. She picked it up and answered it, "Hey dad, you guys okay?"
"Yeah, got here sooner than we thought, and the museum is closed today, go figure. Anyway let me know when you get here. Wendy and I are gonna explore. Also your mom is gonna try to video call from the Philippines during the show."
"Okay, sucks about the museum, but there's still some cool stuff there right?"
"Yeah, we'll figure it out, we're gonna find a snack just to tie us over, until you get here."
Andy nodded and was about to say something when Lynn motioned for her to give her the phone, "Hey dad Lynn wants to talk to you for a second." With a confused look she gave her phone to Lynn.
"Hey Mr. Hill."
"Please call me Kevin Mr. Hill is my father." Lynn chuckled a little bit and shook her head.
"Well, I just wanted to let you know if you and Wendy want to get out of the cold the box office has special passes for the both of you. Just show them your I.D. and they'll let you right in."
Andy and Ethan looked at her with a surprised look and Lynn just winked at the both of them.
"Oh, well thank you, I'll call Andy back when we get inside. Think we're gonna explore a little bit."
"Sounds good and by the way I think there's a sandwich place catering for the show so if you two get there before we do just help yourselves."
"Thank you, I'll let Andy know what we're up to. Y'all aren't too far out now, it's only been an hour. We'll see you soon."
"You're welcome sir. Can't wait to meet you." She said with a smile and gave Andy back her phone.
"Hey dad."
"Did you know about the passes?"
"No, I had no idea until just now." Andy said into her phone while looking at Lynn. She leaned in and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Think Wendy and I will walk around for a bit and then head over. Let us know when you're about thirty minutes out and we'll go from there."
"Okay dad sounds good."
"Alright, love you bye."
"Love you too, bye."
Andy put her phone down and turned to properly look at her girlfriend, "Passes for my dad and sister? When did you work this out?"
Lynn bite her lip and smiled, "Don't be mad, but this was also your Christmas present. When Mark announced the tour I asked him about getting some passes for your family. He worked it out and had them sent. I wanted to surprise you. Plus, I kind of had Mark reach out to your Ynot family."
"Uh what?" Ethan said looking at her.
"Okay I mean well not everyone, but at least Michael, Trey, and Brandon. Clint and Brendan wanted to, but they needed someone strong on their side I guess. Anyway, we were able to get them passes too. Mark got into contact with them and they were the only ones Clint could spare."
Andy and Ethan were speechless.
Brian laughed, "We figured you guys could see them and hang out with them for a bit and they would be backstage with your dad and sister."
"Do you have ANY idea how awesome y'all are?!" Ethan said standing up and started to give them all hugs.
"Least we could do since we kind of stole you two away." Alex said with a smile.
Andy looked at Lynn, "Thank you for this."
She touched her cheek, "Anytime." She whispered they leaned in and their lips met in a soft short kiss.
When they pulled away Andy looked at the other three, "This tour is off to an amazing start. Thank you guys for everything so far."
They waved her off, "Thank you for being fresh blood." Justin said and they all laughed.
"Hey speaking of the guys," Ethan said answering his phone. He stood up and walked towards the back of the bus.
They all looked at Andy and she shook her head, "He does it all the time. Don't worry about it." They all shrugged and went back to chatting about the Richmond.

"Wait so she slapped you across the face?" Lynn asked
Kevin nodded, "Big time. I mean I was young, it was my first station and I thought she was beautiful."
"What happened next?" Lynn said resting her chin in her hand.
"She said something of along the lines of 'Who do you think I am? Come back in a couple of weeks and ask me again.' I was drunk when I asked for her come home with me."
"Did you go back?"
He nodded but Wendy answered, "Oh yeah, but with flowers and an apology."

"And that is how my parents met. Dad was a drunk sailor in a bar trying to take my mom home while she was working the cash register." Andy said with a wink at Lynn who looked back her with a smile.
"How did you propose?" She asked. Wendy and Andy laughed a little and she looked at them both.
"It's not what or how, but where, is the reason were laughing. Okay it's romantic in a way." Wendy explained.
Kevin smiled and shook his head, "It was after Andrea was born. I took Susan into a janitor's closet and asked her what she was doing for the rest of my life. She said spending it with me. That's how I proposed and we've been married twenty nine years. It will be thirty come this September."
"That's so amazing. I love hearing stories like that."
"Okay so what about you? Besides being a singer what do you like to do?" Kevin asked.
Andy stood up from the table, "And on the note it's my cue to leave." She looked at Wendy and she got up too.
Lynn took hold of Andy's hand stopping her, "You'll be fine, my dad's a softie. Plus I went through it with your dad and brother." She gave her a wink and a kiss on her forehead. She picked up her plate off of the table and threw it away. She let her little sister out first and then looked back at Lynn with a smile and a wink.
Lynn watched as the siblings walk out of the green room and now she was left with Andy's father. This wasn't awkward for her at all.
She smiled and cleared her throat, "Well I do like to draw. Actually before making music I was supposed to go to art school.  Two weeks before I was supposed to go, I said that I didn't want to do that and that I wanted to make music instead."
Kevin nodded, "What did your parents say?"
Lynn shrugged, "I think they were upset but they wanted me to follow my heart and my dreams. So when I was eighteen I left for our first tour and I never looked back."
"Eighteen wow. I joined the military at eighteen. Andrea, just graduated high school, and when Wendy turned eighteen she was already out of the house. I think Susan was dancing in Greece when she was eighteen. But look at you know headlining a tour. Y'all must be proud."
Lynn smiled and nodded, "Very! A lot of hard work and we got here. We're hitting a few festivals this summer and doing some more overseas stuff. We just keep going up."
"I like how determined you are. Andrea's the same way. A few months ago Susan just realized how much she worked. I never knew why she worked so much, then I found out she wasn't really good with money for a while. She would always blow it. Plus she was trying to make it as a singer and that didn't pan out too well."
"What about her photography?"
He smiled, "She had that too, but that wasn't working out too well either. Luckily she had restaurant experience and she got hired on at Ynot and she loved it. You've done something to her." He saw her reaction and he quickly put his hand over hers, "In a good way." He said quickly.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. But whatever you did you did good kid. Ever since her last birthday she's had this bounce in her step. Then, when she came home from Boston she was different in a good way. I haven't seen her like this in a long time. Not even with Nicole. She's told me so much about you I feel like I know you already." He chuckled and so did she.
"You've impressed me, and it takes a lot. But the real tasks is her mother. Now she's a tough cookie to crack."
"Well I hope I get to meet her soon. Maybe when we get our little break from this tour, we can make a trip to Virginia and spend a few days with you."
Kevin nodded, "I would like that."
There as knock on the door and Mark peeked his head in, "Hey sorry, but it's time for soundcheck."
"Okay, I'll be right there."
Mark smiled and nodded then closed the door.
The two stood up and Lynn held out her hand for Kevin to shake and he waved her off and opened his arms, "Bring it in." He said she smiled and the two hugged for a few moments.
"I think you two are very lucky to have each other. Just communicate, make each other laugh, and support each other in good and bad times. You both will be okay." Lynn nodded as they pulled away from each other.
"My dad would love to meet you one day."
"Well how about this Holiday season we plan a big family get together."
Lynn nodded, "Sounds like a plan. Come on, let's see if we can find Andrea." They left the green room and headed out towards the stage.
"I can't believe you got us passes!" Michael said with excitement. Andy shook her head as they followed her towards the stage.
"It was all PVRIS dude. Their idea actually. We, " she said pointed at herself and Ethan, "Were gonna try to come see you guys but this is better."
"By the way your photographs, AMAZING!" Brandon said putting a hand on her shoulder.
She smiled, "Thanks, didn't think I had it anymore."
"No you still do. How did you get that picture of Brian mid air?" Trey asked.
"I pretty much laid down on the floor and took a few snap shots. Getting back up is the hard part." She told them with a small laugh.
"Come on Wendy's this way. I kinda left her alone with Terry and Cam for far too long. Can only imagine what they're trying to do to impress her."
She could hear some laughter from the wings and smiled when she saw Wendy with Kim. They all walked up to them and Andy tapped Wendy on her shoulder, "Hey so I found these guys outside, do you know them?"
"Shut up Andy," Michael said and the three guys gave Wendy a hug. She introduced them to Kim and they all hugged her as well.
"Alright this is where I leave you, I have to get ready to set up the meet and greet." She patted her friends on their backs and walked away.
"This is fucking amazing!" Trey said and they all nodded. They couldn't believe they were here. Tonight's show was going to be amazing.

"RICHMOND!" Lynn said into the microphone, "You were amazing! Thank you and good night!" She said to the crowd. Andy was right behind her along with Ethan. Lynn walked down the barrier touching the hands of the fans that came out to the show. Justin threw his paper airplane, Alex was throwing out his guitar picks, and Brian was giving the set lists to few fans.
The lights came on and everyone ran backstage. They were met with Andy's friends, her dad, and sister. All said how much they enjoyed the show and thanked them for the passes. They gave them hugs and Lynn saved Kevin for last, "Remember what I said." She smiled and nodded. The two hugged and Andy couldn't help but take a picture.
"Okay let's get a group photo," she said and everyone gathered around.
"Baby, I need you to smile a little more and pretend to be happy." She said in joking manner. Lynn shook her head and rolled her eyes but smiled a genuine smile.
Andy took a few pictures and nodded, "Alright, soon as I get copies I'll send them too you guys."
Mark came up to them and smiled, "Hate to break this up but we do have to go, we're a little behind schedule." Everyone nodded.
"Andy, Ethan I can only spare you both five minutes then we have to go." He told her and she nodded.
She turned her to friends and family, "Well I guess this is it. I'll see y'all soon. Thanks for coming." She said and started to hug her friends leaving her sister and dad for last. Ethan was doing the same.
When she came to her little sister she hugged her tight, "I love you. I'll call you and text you when I can. Keep these guys in check." She whispered in her little sister's ear and they pulled apart. Wendy wiped a tear from her eye.
"Hey I'll be okay."
She nodded and smiled and gave Andy one more hug. "I love you too. Stay safe." They let of each other and she turned to her dad.
"Mom was able to see some of the show but now all of it. I took video for her. I got a few of you taking pictures. She's gonna love it." He said smiling and pulled his eldest daughter into a tight hug.
"You need anything don't be afraid to call me. I don't care what time it is. Be safe out there. I love you."
Andy nodded against her dad's chest. "I will. I love you too dad. I'll see you soon."
"Alright you two we gotta go. Ethan start breaking down the set, Andy we need you by the bus to take a few pictures." Lisa said and they both nodded. With a few more quick hugs and byes Ethan and Andy went right to work. Everyone watched as they hurried off.
"I can't believe my big sister is living out one of her dreams." Wendy said.
Kevin put his arm around is youngest daughter, "She had to go through a lot to get here, but she's here. Come guys let's go home. By the way how did you three get here?"
"Uh, well we spilt a Lyft." Brandon confessed.
"Yeah, we kinda did some day drinking before we left." Trey told him.
Kevin shook his head, "Come on we took the Rave 4, we'll stop and get something to eat on the way home." Kevin smiled and they all started to walk towards the exit.
When they got outside they saw Andy taking some pictures of PVRIS with their fans. Wendy asked if they should go over there but Kevin shook his head and told her to let Andy be. They would see her soon. They watched for a few minutes more and then started to walk down the sidewalk. Kevin did look back more time and saw Andy gently kiss Lynn's forehead. He smiled, he didn't know why but he had good feeling about Andy's new relationship. He didn't have this feeling with the others. He was just happy to see his daughter smiling again.

Marked hurried everyone onto the bus and they didn't know why until Alex turned on the TV and saw the news. They were calling for snow at their next stop and that's when they all understood. "He wants to beat the snow." Ethan said mostly to himself. But everyone heard him.
"Well shit, I didn't really pack for snow." Andy said as she sat down on the couch.
Lynn sat next to her and took her hand, "I don't think any of us packed for snow." She said with a small chuckle.
Andy looked at her and smiled, "And I thought Virginia's weather was crazy. Oh and by they way, dad really likes you." She kissed Lynn's hand. Then stood up and walked towards the back of the bus to change into her more comfortable clothes.
Lynn followed her towards the back and caught her taking off her shirt, and had to stop herself from wanted to throw her on the bed and have her way with her. She shook the thought out of her head. She watched as Andy changed into a sleeveless blue shirt and black sweat pants. Andy sat down on the bed and started to carefully take apart her camera and placed it in the case. She couldn't wait to go through them in the morning.
She carefully placed the case back on the shelf and stood up. She stretched a little bit and she heard a few bones crack and let out a sigh of relief, "Oh fuck, that felt good."
"How about a massage?" Lynn asked walking fully into the room.
Andy quickly turned her head. "Been there long?" She asked wrapping her arms around her waist and Lynn just smirked.
"Enough to see you change into these." She took a little bit of Andy's shirt in her hands gently pulling Andy closer to her.
"Did you like what you see?" Andy whispered leaning in close.
"I can't complain." She whispered back and their lips were almost touching when they heard what sounded like a stamped coming their way.
"Oh good, you're still clothed! Come on we're about to watch The Conjuring!" Justin said. He had Alex and Ethan behind him.
"Yeah we're gonna turn off all the lights and watch it in the dark!" Alex said with a big smile on his face.
"Guys I've seen that movie like a billion times." Andy said looking at them trying to hid her disappointment.
"I even watched it BY myself at three in the morning once."
"Pfftt, just come and watch it!" Ethan said rolling his eyes.
Lynn rested her head on Andy's chest and sighed then looked at Andy, "Continue this later?" She asked.
Andy nodded, "If we must. See ya out there?" Lynn nodded. They gave each other a small kiss and Andy walked out of the room with a huff.
The three of them looked at her in confusion and she crossed her arms, "You guys have the worst fucking timing in the world. AGAIN!" She said pointing at Alex and Ethan.
"Guys give us a minute," Justin said. Ethan and Alex nodded as they walked away. Lynn let out a frustrated sigh and sat down on the bed.
Justin came fully into the room and sat down next to her, "I guess we ruined a moment huh?" He asked with a nervous chuckle and she just glared at him.
"I'm so sorry. I thought you two had already, ya know." He said intertwining his fingers and she shook her head.
"Not yet. We came close in Boston but we stopped because something didn't feel right at the time. But now it does in a way and with this tour I don't know if we're ever gonna get the privacy to be intimate."
Justin put a hand on her back and sighed, "Well look at it this way, the more it's built up the better it will be. I mean that's what I've heard. Plus it's still new and you two still have a lot to learn about each other."
Lynn nodded and looked at him, "You're right. I just get so caught up in her and I every time I see her without her shirt it just gets me all hot and bothered. Her tattoos are a HUGE turn on for me and her eyes when they look into mine I just can't help it. I just want her to put me against the wall and pick me up and just take me right then and there."
Justin chuckled, "You haven't had any in a long time."
"Neither has she, but she's more calmer than I am! I feel like I'm about to explode and I don't know how to control this. God! I just wanna feel...." she stopped and saw Justin's face turn red.
She covered her mouth with her hand and shook her head, "I'm so sorry, this is too much isn't it?" She asked.
He cleared his throat, "A little, but you needed to vent and I haven't seen you in a while, so I understand. Like I said the longer you wait the better it will be. Plus I'm sure she scared and she's probably thinking the same thing you are. Just give it some more time. It will be worth the wait, trust me."
She rested her head on his shoulder and sighed, "You're right. I just need to calm down, and focus on this tour, get through and get ready for the next tour."
He smiled and kissed the top of her head, "Now come on, get in your jammies, and let's watch this movie! I hear Ethan makes some mean popcorn." He stood up and took her hands and stood her up, "I'll see ya out there." She nodded and gave him a quick hug.
When they pulled apart Brian came in the room, "Come on we're ready to start!" He said in a whiny voice and then turned back around. They laughed and Justin followed him out.
Lynn closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, and let it out slowly. Justin was right, it would be worth the wait for her and Andy. But she would really like to know how Andy was keeping so calm about everything. She shook her head and started to go through her clothes trying to find her favorite pajamas. The relationship was still pretty fresh. They did come close to being intimate last month, but the both of them went through a heart break before this.
Taking it slow was a good idea. All she had to do was try to control her urges because maybe just maybe Andy was doing the same thing. When she finally changed she walked out of the room and noticed that the bus was dark. But the light coming from the TV screen lit up the room. As well as the phone screens that everyone seemed to be glued to.
She saw Andy sitting on the couch with her feet up and crossed. She was typing very fast on her phone and she hoped she was just playing a game.
She came up to her and picked up her foot and moved it off to the side. Andy looked up and smiled as Lynn leaned against her and got comfortable. "What are you doing?" She asked.
Andy looked at her, "Just texting Wendy. She said her and dad got home safe after they stopped for food. They ended up taking home the guys as well. Turned out they had a few drinks and took a Lyft all the way from Ynot to Richmond."
"Seriously?" Ethan asked giving them a small bowl of popcorn.
Lynn took the bowl and Andy nodded, "That's what she said." Ethan shook his head and placed a bowl on the table where Brian and Alex were sitting. He gave one to Justin who was sitting in one of the recliners and Ethan sat in the other.
"Okay are we ready?" Brian asked taking the remote.
"Hold on," Lynn said giving the popcorn bowl to Andy. She stood up and went towards the back of the bus.
She was gone for a few minutes then came back and started giving out blankets, "Figured we could use something to hide behind if we get scared."
"No spoilers Andy!" Justin said point at her and she shook her head as Lynn put a blanket over them.
"She's seen the movie so many times and still gets scared." Ethan said and Andy threw popcorn at him.
"I know, I know, 'Shut Up Ethan!'" They all laughed.
Lynn snuggled up closer to Andy, "I gotcha no worries." Andy whispered in Lynn's ear sending chills down her spine. Lynn let out a slow breath and leaned closer to Andy. She could feel her heart racing along with Andy's, but their breathing was calm.
"Now are we ready?" Brian asked and everyone nodded their heads. "Here we go," he pressed play on the remote and the movie started. Besides the opening credits of the movie the only sounds were all of the munching on the popcorn and the rolling wheels of the bus. This tour was off to a great start. They just had to keep each others spirits up, and try not to kill each other at any point. It was still early, but at some point arguments would be starting soon. But right now everything was just as it should be.

After the movie was over the only one that was asleep was Ethan. But no one wanted to move in that moment. Lynn was the first to move. She stood up taking the blanket with her and rushed towards the back of the bus. Saying a quick good night to the others and asked if Andy was coming.
She chuckled and stood up, "Guess that's my cue. Good night guys. Oh and don't wake up Ethan, he'll get up eventually." She said and walked towards the back of the bus.
When she got to the room she saw Lynn already cuddled up under the sheets. She leaned against the door frame and crossed her arms and just watch Lynn.
"What?" She asked.
Andy gave a half smile and just shook her head, "Scared you that much?"
Lynn shook her head, "No, pfftt, it wasn't that scary. Can you just close the door and come to bed?"
"Yes milady," she said with a mocking bow and did as Lynn asked. She closed the door and crawled into to bed nex to Lynn. She wasn't fully under the covers when Lynn took her arm around placed it around her waist.
"The movie wasn't THAT bad." Andy said with a small laugh. Lynn turned and looked at Andy. The outside light was hitting eyes just right that Lynn ended up catching her breath in her throat. Instead of the dark brown she would see every day she saw a light gentle brown. She touched her cheek and smiled.
"What?" Andy whispered.
Lynn just shook her head, "Nothing, I was just wondering how did we get here."
"What do you mean?" Andy asked slightly leaning up and putting her hand under her head looking at Lynn.
She looked up at her, "I mean, five months ago you were just a prep cook at Ynot and I was out touring and getting ready to head off to Europe with the guys. Those five months feels like ten years. I already feel like I know everything about you but there's still so much more to learn. I know I said I wanted to know everything and I still do. I actually never thought I would be in another relationship let alone with a fan."
Andy chuckled and touched Lynn's cheek, "I honestly never thought I would be in relationship with a lead singer of a band. Let alone one of my favorite bands and yet here we are. But you're right. We still have so much to learn about each other and we have a long way to go. We're on this adventure together and we're going to discover new things and learn things. Some we're not going to like, others we're gonna find weird, and some we're gonna have in common.
There's also commutation, and being open with each other. That I have a bad habit of not doing. But with you, I don't know, I've opened up more with you more than any of my other relationships."
"Really?" Lynn asked using her fingers to trace the outlines of one of Andy's tattoos.
Andy nodded, "Yeah, it took me nearly two years with Nicole. But with you it only took me what? Three months. That's never happened before. I guess because that night when we were on top of the bus I just let me myself open up. I felt like I could already trust you. Something told me that you wouldn't judge me based on my past and what I've been through. Then, that night," Andy cleared her throat.
"In Boston when you saw me choke Ethan, that's what scared me the most. That you saw this dark side of me. That you wouldn't want to be around me anymore because you already faced a dark time in your life. I didn't want to bring you anymore pain."
Lynn sat up fully and touched Andy's cheek, "What's a little dark without some light?" She asked and before Andy could answer their lips met. Andy was taken aback for a moment but pulled Lynn closer to her.
Lynn moved her leg so now she was straddling Andy's lap. Andy sat up and her hands wandered under Lynn's shirt. She broke the kiss when she felt her hands on her skin. Andy started to kiss Lynn's neck and she brought her hands to Andy's hair and pulled her closer, and pulled some of her hair.
This drove Andy crazy and she gently bit Lynn's skin. She let out a gasps and Andy pulled back, "Oh my God," she said out of breath, "I'm so sorry."
Lynn smiled and shook her head, "No, it's okay," she kissed Andy's lips, "It's okay, keep going." She took her hands and started to take off Andy's shirt. She sat back a little and noticed a small scar on her stomach. She touched it and Andy sucked in breath.
"What's this from?"
Andy looked up at her, "When I was in Okinawa, a friend and I saw someone trying to break into a house. He was a drunk Marine and we told him to stop. He came up to us and pulled a knife. He held it right there and it started to dig in. I told him he had two choices. Either take that knife away or I'll break his arm. He dug the knife deeper and I grabbed his arm and twisted it behind him. My friend was on his cell phone with police. I ended up dislocating his shoulder instead."
Lynn took Andy's face in her hands, "We don't have to do this tonight, if you don't want to."
Andy moved a few stray hairs from Lynn's face, "What do you want?"
"As much as I want this, I feel like our first time shouldn't be on a tour bus," she said in almost a whisper. "Or in a hotel room. I want our first time to be in a place that we don't have to rush to get up in the morning to be somewhere."
Andy nodded, "I know what you mean. I'll be ready when you're ready."
Lynn smiled, "What did I do to deserve you?"
"I could ask you the same thing." Andy smiled and they leaned in, their lips meeting in a soft kiss.
"You're not mad that I'm stopping us?" Lynn asked.
Andy shook her head, "No, I don't want you do feel uncomfortable for any reason. You just say the word and we'll stop."
Lynn kissed Andy's forehead and then climbed off of her. Andy laid down and Lynn rested her head on her chest, "I'm really glad you're here with me." Lynn whispered.
Andy smiled and kissed the top of her head, "Me too." She looked up at Andy and gave her one more kiss. She put her head on her chest again.
Andy wrapped her arms around her and then started to drift off to sleep. This was something she could get used to.
