A/N: Okay, so this is basically just a fluff filler chapter before I get to another big round of fun that me and some mates came up with last night / this morning. Hopefully I will get the first part of it up before bed tonight, because my plot bunnies are on some serious crack over the idea! :) Anyways, here's the chapter! *hugs*

Rebecca had surprisingly spent the night without nightmares and had woke up to the smell of breakfast coming through the open door. At first she was confused and a bit panicked at the unknown surroundings, then she remembered that she must have fallen asleep watching the movie with Patrick. She smiled, stretching as she felt her limbs wake up again. Then she slid out of the bed and headed in the direction of the smells of breakfast, stifling a yawn with her hand.
She smiled as she walked into the kitchen to see Patrick dancing in place in front of the stove cooking, while singing an old Frank Sinatra tune. Before she could get a good surprise, he turned with a big grin on his face as he scooped out the pancake onto the plate sitting on the counter.
“Good morning. Did you sleep well?”
“Yes, thank you. And pancakes? I didn’t know you cooked.”
“Sadly, they’re from a box, but I hear they’re the best brand of boxed pancakes out there.”
Rebecca giggled and walked over to stand against the counter beside the stove as he poured the batter into the pan for the next pancake. She started humming an old Broadway song from a movie, glancing around to find something to do to help getting breakfast started. She turned to grin at Patrick as he started to sing along, she had always loved to hear him sing, especially when he was singing showtunes.
She laughed and shook her head as he dramatically held out his arm for her to pick up the song as it turned to the female part. She loved singing and such, but was so self-conscious about her voice that she rarely sang in public other than in groups.
“Come on, Reby. You’re great. Besides, you can’t just stop, we haven’t got to the best part of the song yet.”
Rebecca laughed a blush covering her cheeks as she took a breath and started to sing the female’s part, quietly at first then quickly gaining confidence. She giggled as Patrick reached out and took her hand, overdramatically acting out the song. As the song ended she grinned as he dipped her back for a kiss. The smell of something burning pulled them apart, and Rebecca laughed as she saw smoke coming from the stove and the forgotten pancake. She pointed to the stove, still laughing.
“I think we burnt it.”
“Oh well. We have plenty of pancakes. Besides, I rather enjoyed our little duet. Come on, let’s eat and we’ll head over to your house.”
“Oh no. I can only imagine what Mom’s reaction is going to be.”
Rebecca laughed at the prospect of having to explain to her mother what had happened last night. That was certainly going to be interesting. She could just imagine the expression on her face when she showed up at the house still in her pajamas with Patrick. She laughed as she followed Patrick to the small table set up in the corner of the kitchen.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll survive. After all, I think your mother had her spot of fun when she thought we were engaged.”
“Yes. Although this might be a little worse. She tends to suspect the worst sometimes, especially when it involves anything socially unacceptable in her eyes.”
“Well then we’ll just take our time with the pancakes that survived.”
Rebecca laughed as he sat the plate of pancakes down on the table going back to get more plates and silverware. She pulled off the hoodie that she had apparently slept in, as it had gotten a bit warm in the kitchen. She straightened the tank top she had on and sat down, smiling as he sat a plate before her.
“Coffee or juice? I even have some milk if you would like that.”
“Milk sounds great.”
She smiled and picked up a few pancakes and placed them on her plate pouring syrup lightly over them. She smiled and took the glass of milk he held out to her.
“So Pete said something about you being the director for the next video.”
“Yeah. It’s not going to be terribly great. Just a few ideas that me and some of my crew from film class came up with. And Petey’s ideas too, but don’t think he’s got control of this one.”
“I’m sure of that. What ideas do you have? Or are they top secret for only the director and her assistants to know?”
Rebecca laughed at the smirk on Patrick’s face as he joked with her, although she muttered a curse under her breath as the bit of pancake slid from her fork landing on her shirt, syrup side down of course.
“Blast it all. Oh, you think this is funny, do you?”
Rebecca turned her attention back to Patrick as he laughed at her. She stuck her tongue out before threatening with her fork to sling a piece of pancake at him, smiling when he held up his hands in surrender.
“Well that is certainly my luck. Syrup covering my shirt and no change.”
“You can borrow one of my shirts, Reby. Besides, that was rather funny.”
“Oh yes, you would think so, wouldn’t you?”
Rebecca laughed as they both dissolved into a fit of laughter again. Rebecca laughed and picked up her fork, just grabbing another bite. She would at least finish her breakfast before worrying about the syrup on her shirt.
As Rebecca stood to clear away the breakfast dishes, Patrick excused himself and went off to fetch her a shirt to borrow that wasn’t covered in sticky syrup. She carried the plates over to the sink and quickly ran some dishwater, and got everything ready to clean up, although she was quickly getting agitated with the stickiness of the shirt. So without giving it too much thought, she simply pulled the shirt over her head and laid it in the chair with her hoodie and turned back to the sink with the dishes.
It was this sight that Patrick came back into the kitchen to see. Rebecca was standing at the sink doing the dishes and singing lightly to herself in nothing but her pajama bottoms and bra. He blushed at the sight, his mouth dropping a little. His eyes took in the curve of her back, the color of her skin, and a rather intriguing tattoo at the small of her back that he had never noticed. All in all, she was gorgeous, a petite angel that for some reason was sent to Earth. But he quickly shook off the starry gazing and walked up to the counter beside her, the shirt held loosely in his hands, but forgotten by him.
“I’m almost finished with the dishes. And don’t even say anything about me not having to do them, I’m perfectly capable of cleaning up after myself.”
“Um, right. Well, I found a shirt that you can borrow. After the dishes we can head over to your house. Pete is probably hosting more of the others today, and he was asking me to come over too.”
“Thanks. I’ll be right back.”
Rebecca grinned at the pink still on Patrick’s cheeks as she took the shirt with a quick kiss on his cheek before heading in the direction of the bathroom.

A/N: Okay, so anyone who's wondering what song Patrick and Becca sing, I was sorta making it up off the top of my head. Until I got a song from Guys and Dolls stuck (love the musical ... and Marlon Brando *swoon*). So here's a vid of the song on youtube, it's "A Woman In Love" from the movie version. http://youtube.com/watch?v=yl1C8-kG6P8 And personally in my own casting of G&D I would have Patrick play Nathan Detroit, but I couldn't resist this song! *hugs*
