Chapter 21: And Yes, We've Just Begun
∞♥♥∞
It was November 11th, the day of Chris’ and my anniversary of the day we met. I wanted to make it special. I could hardly believe it had been two years since the day we had met. It seemed like only yesterday I was saying hello to him, and wondering why the heck my heart was pounding so hard. I decided to take him to the place where we had first met. I had gotten permission from the owner to take Chris there after we had eaten. I was going to take him to the exact spot where we had first said hello to each other. It was going to be empty at the time we were to arrive there, but a guard would let us in. I could hardly wait to see the expression on Chris’ face.
I let Chris pick the restaurant, and he had chosen to eat at Dolce, a very nice Italian restaurant.
I looked in the mirror, and admired myself. I looked pretty good, I had to admit. I had chosen to were a white dress shirt with the first two buttons undone. I also wore the light blue jacket I had been wearing the day that Chris and I had found out we were both going to be in the top twenty-four. I smiled at the memory. He and I had both been so happy to make it that day. I wore jeans with it, as I had done that day. I also wore light black socks and my white sneakers.
“You look amazing.”
I smiled as Chris appeared behind me in the mirror. He wrapped his arms around me, and kissed the back of my neck.
I grinned into the mirror. “You look amazing too.” He was wearing the outfit he had worn the same day I had worn the outfit I was wearing. We had planned it that way. He was wearing grayish jeans, a white T-shirt, and a black jacket. He wore black socks and black sneakers.
“Can you believe it’s been two years?” he asked.
I placed my hands over his, and gently massaged them with my thumbs. “It doesn’t seem like it to me at all. Though I must admit, the last two years have been much better than they were before I met you.”
He turned me around, and we kissed. “Likewise, baby. I can hardly believe it either. So, are you ready to go? I can hardly wait to see the surprise you have for me.”
“You’re going to love it!” I said with a grin.
He took my hand in his and kissed it. “I’m sure I will,” he said, his eyes never leaving mine.
I stood on my tiptoes and kissed his lips. “Let’s go.”
He nodded, and we headed down the stairs and out of the house hand-in-hand.

We arrived at the restaurant, and were seated right away since we had reservations.
“I love this place. It’s so beautiful,” I said after Blake and I ordered our drinks.
“Well, I can’t complain about the view. That’s for sure.” He smiled at me.
I smiled back. “You’ve gotten a lot more romantic since the day we met.”
“I’ve always been romantic. I’m just better at expressing it now. I also had to get used to expressing it to a man, you know.” He winked.
I laughed. “Okay. I’ll give you that one.” I winked back at him.
We looked over our menus, and decided what we wanted to eat. When the waiter came back with our drinks, we gave him or orders. When he left, we went back to our conversation.
“Remember that day you first said hello to me?” Blake asked. “You were so nervous. I could practically see you shaking.”
I smiled at the memory. I wasn’t that nervous. I love meeting new people. You were the shy one.”
“Me? The shy one? I think you are sadly mistaken, my dear. Actually, if I’m remembering correctly, I was the first one to say hello to you. Then you were all shy and cute about it.” He winked at me again.
“I told you that you looked like Nick Carter. Now, I actually see Brian in you too,” I said.
He laughed. “I’m a Backstreet Boy! No, wait. I’m two Backstreet Boys! Aren’t I hot?”
I shook my head and smiled, thinking back to that wonderful day where Blake and I had first met.
“Hello. I’m Blake Lewis. You did really great up there. You kind of have that Justin Timberlake thing going on.” He winked at me.
I grinned.
“Hey.” I extended his hand to him, and we shook hands. “You did pretty good yourself. You kind of have that rocker version of Nick Carter going on.” I winked back at him.
He laughed. “I never got that one before! So you look like an *Nsyncer, and I look like a Backstreet Boy.”
I laughed too. “But I like your look a lot better than Nick’s.”
He blushed. “And I love your look a lot better than Justin’s.”
We continued grinning at each other.
“You’ve grown even more handsome since we first met, if that’s possible,” I said to Blake.
“So have you. Before you made me want to kiss you, now you make me want to do you.” He grinned.
“Well, there goes your romantic streak,” I said with a smirk.
“Sorry.” He took my hand underneath the table, and rubbed it with his thumb. “Better?”
I smiled at him. “Much.” We were sitting side-by-side on the booth. I knew it probably looked a bit shady since there was plenty of space left on the booth for us not to sit so close to each other. I mean, what two straight men sat that close to each other when there was plenty more room to sit further apart? But I really didn’t care. I loved being close to Blake—in more ways than one.
Our salads and breadsticks came then, and we began to dig into them.
B∞C
As we ate our salads and breadsticks, I thought of the first lunch we had had together before we knew we were both going to be in the top twenty-four.
I smiled at Chris. “Remember when we were first getting to know each other over lunch before they announced the top twenty-four?”
He smiled too. “How could I forget? With just that one lunch, I felt closer to you than I had with my friends I have known for years.”
“We even made up the cake shake at dinner that night,” I said.
“Oh yeah! We haven’t done that handshake in years,” Chris said.
We grinned at each other, and then did the cake shake for the first time in years. We laughed, and I knew we were both thinking back to that day...
“You know what we should do?” Chris asked between bites of his chicken sandwich.
“What?” I asked with a slight smile.
“We should make up a handshake that only you and I know.”
I thought about it. I liked the idea of having something that was just between Chris and I. I nodded. “All right. It can be kind of like a secret handshake.”
“Well, it won’t be a secret once people see it often enough, but it can be one that you and I give only to each other.”
I nodded again, liking this more and more. “All right. How should it start?”
“Give me your hand. I’ve been thinking about this,” Chris said. He put his half-eaten sandwich down, and reached a hand out to me.
I put down my own half-eaten sandwich down, and gave him my hand. I blushed as I felt my hand tingling. This felt so gay, and yet, not wrong.
Chris rubbed his fingers over my palm, causing me to shiver. “We need something more than that though. That is what I got so far.”
I thought about it for a moment. “Try it again. I’ll rub my fingers against your hand at the same time,” I said.
Chris nodded, and we shook, rubbing our fingers down each other’s palm at the same time.
“It still needs something at the end,” I said.
Chris nodded.
We both thought about it for a moment, and then we both smiled, and went to say something at the same time. Instead, we gave each other a palm, and did our handshake; only this time we followed it up by wiggling our fingers against the other’s.
We both grinned, and high-fived. “That’s it!” We said in unison.
“It’s funny how we thought of that at the same time,” Chris commented.
“Almost like it’s meant to be,” I agreed.
“It is meant to be,” Chris said.
“It turns out the cake shake wasn’t the only thing that was meant to be,” Chris said quietly.
I nodded. I looked to make sure that no one was paying attention to us, and when I was sure that they weren’t, I quickly kissed his cheek. “I love you even more now than I did then.”
He smirked. “Well, I would hope so, now that we know each other on a more persona level.”
I nodded. “A much more personal level.”
He blushed.
I smiled, proud of myself for that last statement.

Our meal was really good. I loved Dolce. It was such a beautiful restaurant, and their food was just so good. I was glad that Blake had let me pick where to eat tonight.
We ordered chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for dessert.
“So, are we eating the black version of us?” Blake asked.
I nearly choked on the bite of cake I had in my mouth. I took a drink and swallowed what I had in my mouth. “You are a nut!”
He grinned, obviously proud of himself. “What? I was just asking.”
I shook my head and smiled. It’s been two years, and he was still able to make me laugh.
After dessert, we split the bill and tip, and then headed to my surprise.
“Blakey, where are you taking me? I want to know now! Tell me!”
“You’ll see when we get there, Richie. Sheesh! Chillax a little, will ya? Have some patience.”
I smirked. “Maybe you should take your own advice the next time I have a surprise for you. I was mocking you.”
“I do not sound like that.”
“You do too! I’m going to record you the next time you whine, and you’ll see.”
He looked over at me, and grinned. “I can think of better things to record.”
I smirked. “Keep your eyes on the road, nymphomaniac.”
He grinned proudly, and gave his attention back to the road.
Surprisingly, I couldn’t even tell where we were headed until we had pulled into the parking lot.
I undid my seat belt, and smiled. “The place we first met. Just when I thought you couldn’t get any more romantic.”
He parked the car, shut off the engine, and undid his seat belt. Next, he smiled at me, and pulled me in for a deep kiss. “I told you I’ve always been romantic.”
I lowered my eyes and kissed him back. “I’ll never doubt it again.”
We kissed for a moment more, and then he pulled back, nodding towards the building. “Come on. Let’s go inside.”
I nodded, and we both got out of the car. We then headed towards he building hand-in-hand, my heart soaring with love for Blake the whole time.

The guard said a friendly hello to us and shook our hands. He then let us into the building, and led us to the exact location that we wanted to be.
“I’ll leave you two alone. I’ll be just down the hall when you’re ready to leave,” he said.
We thanked him, and then we were finally alone in the room that we had met in two years prior.
I took Chris’ hands in mine. “Two years.”
He squeezed my hands. “Two years.”
I grinned. “Remember how happy we were when we found out we were both going to be in the top twenty-four?”
He nodded. “Like it was yesterday.”
I thought back to that moment, and once gain, I knew he was thinking back too.
As the doors opened, I stared at him, trying to find the answer by the look in his eyes.
He grinned and nodded, and I let out a whoop of happiness, all the while jumping into the air.
He laughed, and he and I ran to each other and hugged.
“Congratulations, man! I knew you could do it. Now we can be together!” I said as I hugged him.
He smiled brightly, and continued to hug me.
“And now, here we are… Still together,” I said, almost whispering, even though we were the only two in the room.
“In a much deeper level.” His eyes lowered, and we went into for the kiss at the same time.
I sighed against his lips, never feeling more in love with him than I had at that moment.

“It would be cool if we could see our old apartment and our old room that we shared,” I said, referring to our home while we were on the show.
He hugged me. “I know, but it’s rented out now. I tried to get us in, but no such lunch.”
“Well, this is where it all began anyway,” I said with a smile. I stroked his hair. “Remember our first kiss?”
He nuzzled his head against my neck. “Of course I do.”
I remembered it too...so well.
Everyone was quiet as Blake turned to me. “Are you ready for this?”
I nodded. “Let’s do this.”
And so we did. Slowly we leaned in, titled our heads, closed our eyes, and kissed. It was a gentle kiss, but it felt so right.
“All right, you guys can stop now. Sheesh! I knew you wanted to kiss each other, but come on!”
Blake and I both broke the kiss, and blushed at Leslie’s words.
“I kissed him because you dared me, Leslie,” Blake told her.
Leslie smiled and shrugged. “Sure. That was one of the reasons.” She winked at him.
He ignored her.
It was late, so we all exchanged hugs and goodbyes then, and headed to our own rooms.
Blake and I stayed back for a moment.
When we were alone in the hall, Blake spoke first. “I’m sorry you had to be embarrassed like that.”
I smiled. “I wasn’t embarrassed. It was just two best friends, who happen to both be men, kissing. No big deal. You’re a good kisser besides.”
He blushed. “Thanks. So are you. I kind of enjoyed it actually.”
I grinned. “So did I. Goodnight.” I hugged him, and then, with a wave, I disappeared into my room.
Blake laughed. “I was so worried you were going to think I was a pervert when I told you I enjoyed the kiss.”
I laughed too. “I actually think I would have been offended if you hadn’t enjoyed it—another guy or not!
He was still smiling as he stroked my hair, his arms still around me. “That kiss was so special to me, even if it was just on a dare. I really did want to kiss you. I was just happy for the excuse.”
“I was happy that you had gotten the excuse,” I said, feeling my eyes lower again.
We kissed some more.
He broke the kiss, and nodded towards the doorway. “Come on. I want to get you back home and in bed. I want to love you up.”
I grinned, and kissed him again. “You won’t find me protesting.”
He grinned too.
We headed to the doorway, and after one last look at the place where we met, we headed to find the guard, and then finally head home.
B∞C
When we got home, it didn’t take us long to undress each other. In fact, we didn’t even wait to get up to the bedroom. We kissed frantically, and started striping our clothes on the way to the stairs. I was walking forward, and Chris was walking backwards up the stairs.
We continued to kiss, our hands doing the work of undressing the other. The remainder of our clothes hit the top to the stairs, and then I continued backing him towards our bedroom.
I gently lay him down on the bed, and then I retrieved our lubricant from the night stand.
“Do you want me to make love to you, or the other way around?” I asked.
He wrapped his arms around me, and kissed me hard before responding. “I want you to make love to me. It will be full circle. The first time, it was I who made love to you.”
I smiled, taking his hand in mine and giving it a gentle squeeze. “I remember.” I kissed down the side of his neck, and then downwards over his nipples, chest, and stomach. I took some of the lubricant out, warmed it between my fingers, and began preparing him. I loved how he arched downward on me. I loved how he moaned and whimpered. I loved how he kissed me as I continued to prepare him.
I gasped as he began massaging fingers into my backside. “Does this mean…?” I asked. ?
Chris smiled and nodded, and let another finger inside. “I really want to be with you, Blake. I think we both know that I’m going to be one of the ones eliminated next. I don’t want to leave without having experienced this with you. I want to be with you, Blake. I want to know that we’re together in every sense of the way before I have to leave you.”?
I bit my lips as he let another finger in, and then another. ?
“Chris, we don’t have to do this. I promise you that even if we don’t sleep together, I’m not going to leave you. Remember, we still have our apartment to look forward to after the tour.” As much as I wanted this, I didn’t want him to feel that he had to do this in order for us to stay together. ?
“I know, but I want to do this, Blakey. Please can we do this? I want to be one with you,” he pleaded. ?
“Chris, I want this so much right now. As long as you’re one hundred percent sure that you want this, then I say let’s do this right now,” I said. ?
I finished preparing him, and coated my groin with the lubricant before recapping the lubricant and tossing it aside. ?
Chris wrapped his legs tightly around my waist. I kissed his lips. “Are you ready?”?
“I always am for you.”?
I kissed him again, and slowly entered him.
B∞C
I moaned, and pressed Blake forward. I wanted so much more of him. I loved him so much. I was so grateful for meeting him. I never would have thought that day that I would meet the man of my dreams. I had just come out of a four-year relationship with a woman. The last thing I ever expected to do was fall for a man. Much less one, whom I would later believe to be my soul mate.
I moaned again, as Blake hit just the right spot.
He moaned, and nipped at my neck. “I love you so much! You feel so good...”
I kissed him deeply on the lips. “I love you too,” I whispered. “More than anyone.”
I rested my head on my pillow and closed my eyes, remembering the first time I had made love to him.
“Oh my gosh, like that!” His head instantly jerked back and his eyes rolled back with it in pleasure.
“Want me to do it again?” I asked.?
He moaned loudly. “Yes, please!”?
“You like that, baby? Hm?” I asked. I nipped down the side of his neck, leaving my mark and pleasuring him by repeatedly thrusting into him at the angle he liked.?
“Yes, Chris, yes….”?
“Mm, Blake…” I was finding it hard saying his name. I was so overcome with pleasure.?
I hit that spot again, and he let out a long groan. He couldn’t hold back any longer, and came forcefully.?
I came almost the same time after Blake did. Him losing it had sent me straight over the edge.?
We cried out each other’s names.
I could no longer finish the memory as I felt the familiar bolt of pleasure rushing up my body from my head to my erection.
“Blake…”
“Mm, me too baby, me too. Baby, I love you so much!”
Blake buried his face in my neck, and I could no longer hold back. I came, crying out his name, and feeling my whole body tremor.
He came simultaneously, crying out my name, his voice muffled against my shoulder as he came deep inside of me.
I could feel him coming so deep inside of me, and it made me want him even more.
We just kissed for the next couple of minutes as we waited to relax from our orgasms.
Eventually, Blake pulled out of me, but he kept me in his arms, and rested his head on my chest.
“Was it as good as the first time?” He asked, grinning up at me.
I smiled, and stroked his hair.
Together, we just stayed in each other’s arms for a moment, with me still inside of Blake. We breathed heavily in and out as we tried to catch our breaths and come back down from our orgasmic highs.?
Eventually, I had to pull out of him, but we stayed in each other’s arms and kissed for a while.?
I realized that I loved Blake more than I ever thought possible. I hoped we would be together forever, because I honestly couldn’t even think of letting him go.
I kissed his lips at the memory. “It was even better.”
He grinned, and then we snuggled into each other’s arms, letting sleep take us.
I knew that two years was nothing. We had only just begun.
