Chapter 21: London
"I can't believe I'm here!" Mila said looking out of the window.
Lynn smiled looking at her daughter. They found out on Thanksgiving that Mila's social worker fast tracked the adoption process. It was unofficial still, but he called them that morning to tell them the news.
Andy and Serenity were going over some final preparations for the award show. Andy sat back in her seat and rubbed her eyes. She didn't think she would have to do all of this. Red carpet, quick interviews, pictures being taken. It was a lot to take in. She sat back in her seat and let out a sigh.
She crossed her arms as Serenity kept going on about the award ceremony. Andy felt as if her brain was going to explode. Every time she tried to turn her attention to her wife and daughter, Serenity would pull her attention back. Andy just hoped she would be able to spend time with her family.
"And that's that. So do you want to go over it again?"
"Not really. I feel as if my head is going to explode. So we have to get there at four? But it doesn't start until nine, I don't get that part." Andy rubbed her face in her hands and let out a yawn.
"You have to the photo opt, work the red carpet, and do the interviews. Then, there's a small party where there's a meet and greet. Also great time to lay some groundwork. Promote yourself."
"But I thought I was doing well."
"Oh, trust me you are. Some of these photographers are a little jealous. They've been in the industry for a long time and don't like the fact that a rookie is doing better than them. It's all politics at this point."
Andy nodded and let out another yawn. "I'm sorry, I didn't get much sleep on the flight. Watched a horror movie and thought I was able to go to sleep after that."
"I told you so." Lynn said in a sing song voice giving Andy an amused look.
Andy just shook her head and winked at Lynn. Andy watched as she blushed like she always does and shook her head. The car finally came to a stop and the driver got out and opened their door. Andy let the three out first and then she followed. She looked at the hotel they were staying at and her jaw dropped.
"There's no way this is where we're staying." She said mostly to herself. Lynn came up to her and took her arm.
"Babe, you okay?"
Andy stuttered and Serenity came up to them, "Come on, we gotta get you three checked in. The tailor will be here in an hour and we have to meet with some people from the association. They want to get to know you. Well it's more like a pre award dinner. Alicia will be here in a little while to help you get dressed to put on an impression, and then..." Serenity kept going on and on and on as they entered the hotel.
Andy was still in disbelief but it was cut short when she felt a tug on her arm. She looked at Lynn and followed her gaze. There at the front desk was Alexz. Andy called out to Serenity and her agent came up to her.
"What is she doing her?" Andy asked nodding in Alexz's direction.
"Oh I completely forgot, she's a presenter this year. I think she's actually presenting one of the categories you're in." She said with a smile and went back towards the front desk to get them all checked in.
"I need to call Melissa." Andy said scrambling to get her phone out of her pocket.
"That won't be necessary."
Andy and Lynn turned around to see Melissa standing there with a smile on her face. She walked up to them and gave them a hug.
"What are you doing here?" Andy asked.
"Well, let's just say I came to keep an eye on things. Plus, to handle all the press stuff. I mean, Andy come on, the last time you were surrounded you almost hit a guy. Need I remind you that since you and Lynn are married, my firm kind of represents you in a sense when it comes to PR. That being said, I'm going to have a sit down with Serenity while you get your fittings done. Also," she turned and waved for someone to come to her.
A man in his early thirties walked up to them and smiled. His blues were bright and he was in a nice three piece suite.
"Andy, Lynn, this is my husband Myke." Melissa said with a smile.
"Nice to finally meet you." Andy said shaking his hand.
"We've heard nothing but good things." Lynn told him shaking his hand as well.
He smiled, "It's nice to meet you both as well. Melissa has told me all about you too. And Mila here as well."
Andy and Lynn smiled looking down at their daughter. She shook his hand lightly and gave him a smile.
"Myke is going to be working with me as, well, let's just say he's going to be your bodyguard until we get back home. We have a few others that will be taking shifts being posted outside of your room. One outside of Mila's room too. We're being extra cautious now. Just want to make sure everything goes smoothly."
Andy chuckled, "When has things ever gone smoothly?"
"This is true. But this is just to make sure things don't get out of hand again like they did in New York."
"What happened in New York?" Mila asked.
"Yeah, what did happen in New York?" Lynn asked looking at her wife.
Andy cleared her throat, "I'll explain when we get to our rooms."
"Melissa! I didn't know you were going to be here!" Serenity said with a smile. The two shook hands, Melissa introduced her to Myke and they exchanged pleasantries.
They all talked for a bit until Serenity said they had to get to their rooms because the tailor is on his way and so is Alicia. Melissa said she would be up shortly and they would discuss the next steps. They said their byes and went their separate ways. Andy grabbed their bags and followed Serenity to the elevators.
"Let's hope this time the headlines will read good news." Andy said as they got onto the elevator.
**********************************************************************************************************
"When can we go sightseeing?" Mila asked looking out of the window seeing the London Eye.
"We have some free time tomorrow. Maybe we could check out some of London if you want." Lynn said with a smile putting her hair up in a bun.
"I feel like a dumbass." Andy said walking out of the bathroom wearing an almost skin tight black dress button up with a red tie. Jeans that almost clinged to her legs and brown high top dress shoes.
"The jeans literally stop right above my ankles and she told me not to wear socks. Look, I get this all in style and shit, but I'm changing. I'm can't wear this." Andy walked over to her suitcase and started to look for something new to wear.
"The last time I take advice from someone with a fashion degree." She mumbled until she found what she was looking for. She walked back into the bathroom and slammed the door.
Lynn and Mila couldn't help but laugh.
"Wow she really looked ridiculous." Mila said.
"She really did. The problem is, those clothes were by a well known fashion designer. She has to wear those or else she'll lose an endorsement deal. But knowing her she doesn't care about the money or trying to impress people. She's never one for the spotlight, but somehow it always finds her." Lynn explained.
"Why is that?" Mila asked trying to put on a necklace. Lynn smiled and walked up behind her and hooked it for her. She turned Mila around and kneeled down in front of her.
"She just has this charisma about her that she doesn't know about. When she walks into a room, she seems to be in command. But not at first, it eventually comes. Pretty soon she's everywhere and everyone just wants to catch a glimpse of her. She doesn't have to put on a show to impress people, she just has to smile and make you laugh. She always said if she could make you laugh, then she knows she has you."
"Did she make you laugh the first time you met?"
Lynn smiled, "She actually did. She just blurted out things during the meet and greet and I tried to hold it together. I did until they left and I couldn't help but let out a small laugh about it. Ever since that day she's made me laugh at least once. She just has this way of making sure everyone feels some sort of joy. Even if she doesn't. She just wants them to feel better, no matter what."
The bathroom door opened and Andy walked out with a smile this time. She was now wearing a short sleeve blue button down with the red tie. Tan dress pants, with a brown belt, and black dress shoes. Her hair had the slight tint of red in the front with the silver still in her hair.
Lynn stood up and gave Mila a kiss on her forehead and went over to Andy.
"You realize you're gonna lose that deal."
Andy shrugged, "I could give two shits about that. I'm not gonna look like a puppet on strings. I've gotten this far without deals. I've done a lot on my own. It was PVRIS that put me on the map. So, I'm not going to fall into this whole thing. I'm not going to change my clothes because some big fashion designer wants me to wear it. No, they've got plenty of other people. I'll stick to my simple style and they can just deal with it."
Lynn took a step closer to Andy and smiled. She took Andy's hand in hers, "You know I stand by you now matter what."
Andy smiled and kissed the back of her hand, "You look absolutely stunning by the way."
Lynn blushed, "You look absolutely handsome." The two leaned in and kissed each other softly. They were once again lost in the moment when they heard a knock at the door.
Mila smiled and rushed to the door opening it and there stood Serenity wearing a nice Navy blue dress, with black Gucci heels, and her hair was up with small curls framing her face. She smiled looking at Mila.
"You look amazing!" Serenity said taking Mila's hand and the young girl gave a little turn in her silver dress and small blue dress shoes. Lynn walked around the corner, and she caught Serenity's eye.
"Andre is going to be so happy that you all are wearing his designs." The agent said looking at Lynn's black dress that had a small slit on the left side. It wrapped around her neck and just flowed down.
"I know you don't really like dresses or gowns but Lynn, I'm sure Andy loves you in them."
Lynn smiled nodded, "Yeah, but she's always surprised when I wear them."
"How does Andy look?" She asked with a big smile.
"She looked like an idiot." Mila said with a shrug.
"What do you mean?" Serenity asked and before the two could answer she walked further into the room and turned the corner to see Andy not dressed in the clothes she was supposed to wear.
"Andrea, what are you wearing? Where are the clothes from Andre?"
"I'm wearing something Andy would wear. As for the clothes they're over there on the chair neatly put away. I'm not wearing anything that I can't breathe in."
Serenity closed her eyes and sighed, "Andy you will lose this endorsement deal."
"Why? I've made it this far without other people's money. I'm not going to go out there looking like I'm selling out!'
"This was a MAJOR deal! They want you! Your family is going out there in Andre's dresses, yet you're not! How does that make sense?!"
"I didn't sign up for this! I didn't ask to be nominated, I didn't ask to do all this bullshit!"
Serenity took in a deep breath to calm herself down. She turned to Lynn, "Can you and Mila meet us in the lobby? Andy and I need to sort some things out."
Lynn nodded and gave Andy a sympathetic look. She took Mila's hand in hers and they made their way out of the room.
Once they were out of the room a woman dressed in a three piece suite walked up to them. Lynn gave Mila's hand a little squeeze to let her know she was going to protect her.
The woman smiled when she came up to them, "Mrs. Hill, Miss Hill, I'm here to escort you to the lobby."
Lynn let out a small sigh of relief and nodded. They followed the woman to the elevators and waited. They heard rushing footsteps and saw Melissa hurrying towards them. They thought she was going to stop and talk to them for a moment, but she just rushed passed them.
Lynn watched as Melissa rapidly knock on the door of the room where she and Andy were staying in. Before she could see anymore she heard a small ding and the elevator doors opened. The three stepped in and Mila looked up at Lynn.
"Is Mama in trouble?"
Lynn let out a soft chuckle and shook her head, "I don't think so. Melissa will help smooth everything out. We'll find out the out come when they meet us in the lobby."
Meanwhile back in the room Andy was trying really hard not to lose her temper with her agent.
"Andrea need I remind you that you NEED this!" Serenity said picking up the clothes that Andy changed out of.
"Really?! Do I need it or does your agency need it?! Because it sounds like your agency needs it! Either Andre gets me new clothes to wear or I'm wearing this!" Andy said pointing at herself.
Melissa was messaging her temples hearing the two go at it for the last twenty minutes. She understood where each of them were coming from. But if she had it her way, she would listen to Andy. She knew Andy was already set on wearing what she has on.
"Andy it's what's in right now! Why can't you get with the times?!"
Andy rolled her eyes at her agent and shook her head, "I'm with the times! But I'm not with this fashion. I can't breathe in those! I felt like I was walking around with something up my ass! Again, unless Andre has something more comfortable for me to wear, I'm wearing this!" She shook her head and looked at her watch.
"Dinner is starting soon. I'm leaving to meet my wife and daughter. I'm not fixing this. There's nothing to fix." Andy grabbed her hoodie and stormed out of the room.
Serenity looked at Melissa, "You have to talk to her."
Melissa shook her head, "I can't. Once she's made up her mind, it's done. So you might want to call your boss and tell him what happened. If you look back on everything Andy has worn, you would know what Andre gave her wasn't her. It makes her look like an asshole. Which she can be at times, but it just makes her look stuck up. She doesn't like that. My suggestion is look at Andy's style, and talk to Andre. We gotta get going."
Without waiting for Serenity to respond Melissa left the room. Serenity stood there looking after her and shook her head. Part of her knew that Melissa was right. But Andy needed to wear Andre's clothes otherwise the deal she made would be off the table. It was a great deal. She just wished Andy would understand that. She let out a sigh and put the clothes down next to Andy's suitcase that was still on the bed.
She couldn't help but look through it to get a sense of what Andy likes to wear. All she could see was jeans, band t-shirts, pajama pants, basketball shorts, plain white and black socks, boxer briefs, sports bras, a nice white button down shirt, another pair of dress pants, her VANS, and finally her black and blue sneakers.
She just shook her head and couldn't understand why Andy wasn't with the fashion. That's all she wants is for Andy to get with the times. She had to fix this. She took out her phone from her purse and started to walk out of the room in haste.
*************************************************************************************
Andy walked up to the bar and let out a long sigh. She smiled at the bartender and put her glass down. She looked around the room and let out a sigh.
"You look bored." The young woman behind the bar said and Andy turned to her and smiled.
"Yeah, would rather be in my room reading a book right now."
"Can't all be bad." She said as she started to pour whiskey into Andy's glass, but Andy stopped.
"Whoa, sorry I'm not drinking tonight. I'll take a water, thank you." Andy gave her an apologetic smile.
"Really, why not?" She asked reaching under the bar and grabbing a bottle of water and a new glass.
"My wife is expecting and I made a deal with her. If she can't drink, then I can't drink. I want to support her in anyway I can." She said as she watched the young bartender pour the water over ice in a new glass.
"Makes sense. Really didn't think you were married." She said with a wink.
Andy cleared her throat and smiled, "Thanks for the water." She picked up the glass and was about to walk away when the bartender called out to her.
"Just in case you do want to get that drink." She said and gave Andy a napkin with her number and name on it.
Andy didn't want to be rude and took the number. She shook her head and hurried off to find Lynn. After a few minutes she saw her laughing with a group of people. She walked up to them and smiled. She whispered something in Lynn's ear and they excused themselves.
When they were away from most of the crowd Andy gave Lynn the napkin and explained everything. "I think we should go to the other bar for the rest of the night. I kinda honestly don't want to drink this water now."
"Well did you see her put anything in it?"
Andy shook her head, "No, but then again, I didn't see her twist off the cap."
"Toss it, don't need you to be feeling like your drunk when you're not."
"Good idea." Andy looked around for a trash can and found one. Before she walked over to it she asked for the napkin and Lynn gave it to her. Andy put the napkin in the water and smiled at Lynn.
"There, now it won't really leak through the bag." She said with a smile. Lynn just shook her head and kissed Andy's cheek.
She watched as Andy walked over to a small trash can and tossed away her cup of water. Once she came back over to her she took her hand and smiled.
"Where's Mila?" Andy asked looking around the room.
"She's fine. She hasn't left Myke's side all night. She wanted to know about the whole bodyguard thing. You, by the way have been avoiding Andre all night."
"Well no shit, I'm not wearing his design, and how do you tell one of the top designers that he doesn't know what every lesbian wears?"
"Maybe give him some insight. I'm sure he would understand. He's been bragging about how you're going to wear his clothes at the award show."
"The fuck I am!" Andy raised her voice a little and a few people stared at them. She and Lynn gave the strangers a smile and nod before turning back to each other.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm going to be able to wear anything of his, unless his clothes are more like me."
"Babe, I understand that. But think about his self esteem."
"Honey, he has an empire. I'm sure his self esteem is up there. One person not wearing his design is not going to hurt his ego." Andy sighed and looked at her watch. They've been there for almost three hours.
"We should get going. Mila wants to do some sightseeing. We have a full day tomorrow, and I'm sure she wants to get up early."
"You're right. Plus I'm still hungry, maybe we could get something on the way back to the hotel."
"Or we could order room service and watch a movie in the comfort of our room." Andy said with a smile.
"That sounds like a better idea. I'll go get Mila and meet you by the door." Lynn was about to leave but Andy grabbed her hand.
"Wait, let's look together. I don't know if I can handle talking to more of these people without you. I feel like a broken record right now. Answering and asking the same questions." Andy said with a shake of her head.
Lynn smiled and gently put a hand on her cheek. Her soft look became a concerned one, "Babe, you're warm. Did you take your medicine before you came?"
Andy nodded, "Yeah, must just be the jet lag. I'll drink some tea tonight."
"Okay, you sure?"
Andy kissed the back of Lynn's hand and smiled, "I'm sure. Now come on let's go get our girl and get out of here before my brain explodes."
Lynn smiled and nodded. Andy took her hand in hers and they both went on the search to find their daughter.
Alexz was at the bar watching their whole exchange. She let out a sigh and threw back her drink. She put her glass down on the bar and motioned for the bartender to pour her another. She looked back at Lynn and Andy. They were stopped by a group of people and they started to chat away. She saw the way Andy looked at Lynn.
The jealousy she felt grew even more. She turned around and faced the bar. She let out a sigh and took a sip of her drink. She wished she got to Andy before Lynn did. But she didn't even know she existed until about a year ago. She had to get her hands on Andy somehow. She's tried almost everything. She was running out of ideas. She finished her drink and motioned for the bartender for another.
She turned back around to face the crowd and noticed the couple was with a different group of people. This time Mila with them. The big happy family. That's when she noticed Andy placed a hand on Lynn's stomach and Mila was smiling. She stood straight up and her mind started to go a mile a minute.
"She's expecting." Alexz heard a voice and she turned to see Melissa standing next to her facing the bar.
"When is she-" Alexz was about to ask, but Melissa turned towards her and began to speak.
"Stay away from them. I heard about your little stunt when they got back from their vacation. Andy has already made it clear she doesn't want to do the show. You being here is just going to cause more drama for them. They're about to extend their family and they're finally happy. The last thing they need is more negative news about them in the papers. On social media, or anywhere else."
"Are you threatening me?" Alexz asked quietly.
Just then three men came up to them with their arms crossed. Alexz looked around nervously and then back to Melissa.
"As you can see they are well protected this time. We've already called your agent. We also have our lawyers ready. So whatever you plan to do, I suggest you cancel your plans and just move on. Otherwise you'll get a war you don't want."
With that Melissa picked up her drink from the bar and walked away. The three men followed her leaving a very scared Alexz. She let out a breath and closed her eyes. She really had to think about things now.
********************************************************************************************************
"Oh look there's Big Ben! And look Buckingham Palace! We were just there! You really can see everything up here!" Mila said almost pressing her face into the glass window.
Lynn was right next to her with a smile. She's been to London plenty of times with Alex, Brian, and Justin. Sometimes even with her family. Now she's here with her own family and it just seems better. She looked back and saw Andy standing in the center of the car looking down at her feet.
She knew Andy was going to be feeling like this and she was trying to make the best of it. She walked over to Andy and placed a hand on her arm. Andy looked at her giving her a weak smile.
"Hey, you okay?"
Andy nodded, "Oh yeah, you know, just inside a big ass ferris wheel. Instead of those seats though, we're in fucking car thing!"
Lynn bit her bottom lip trying to stop herself from laughing at her wife. "Come on just come take a look. You don't have to look down. Remember Coachella?"
"Yeah, but that was different. It was smaller. This," Andy waved her hand around, "This is so much bigger than that!"
"Mama! I can see The Globe from here!" Mila said pointing at the building.
"Crap! She knows that's one of the things I've been wanting to see. But not from this height!"
"Come on. Just take a breath and come look. It's a beautiful morning and we're going to hit The Tower of London after this. I know you've been waiting to see it."
Andy closed her eyes and nodded. "Okay, okay, okay. I can do this." Lynn took Andy's hand and she could already feel her tight grip. They slowly walked over to where Mila was and they each stood on either side of her.
"We're almost to the top! Look at that! All of London! Come on let's go to the other side!" Mila grabbed their hands and rushed them over to the other side. Andy could feel her heart race and she had to calm down her breathing. She could feel an attack coming on. Lynn looked at her once they reached the other side. She didn't want to worry Mila so she just put a hand on Andy's chest.
Andy's hand came up to meet hers and they both started to breath in and out slowly. They didn't need to worry Mila.
The rest of the ride went by calmly and Andy couldn't wait to get off of the Eye. Once they reached the ground they made their way to limo that was waiting for them. Andy opened the car door for them. Once they were all in Andy asked the driver if he could take them to The Globe. He smiled and nodded. They were off.
After The Globe they would go to The Tower of London and then grab some dinner. Andy's phone began to ring and she smiled looking at the name. Lynn was listening to Mila talk about The Globe, but she also noticed Andy on her phone. After a few moments Andy hung up and smiled.
"Who was that?" Lynn asked.
"Oh you'll see." She said with a smile.
The driver pulled up to The Globe and informed them that he would be back in a couple of hours to take them to The Tower of London. He had another appointment close by he couldn't miss. Andy told him to let them know when he would be about five minutes away.
He smiled and got out of the limo. He opened the door for them and Andy let Lynn and Mila out first. She followed them and she thanked the driver. While Mila and Lynn were headed towards the The Globe, Andy was walking in the opposite direction.
She stopped and waved at someone. She hugged them and then put her fingers to her lips and pointed to Lynn and Mila. They smiled and they started to walk up to them.
Lynn was telling Mila a little history of The Globe when someone behind her covered her eyes. At first she thought it was Andy and was about to say something, but it wasn't Andy's voice.
"Now what do you know about Mr. William Shakespeare?" The voice said.
"NO WAY!" Lynn yelled and turned around seeing Hayley. The two let out small screams and hugged each other tight. Just then Zac and Taylor came up to them and they hugged Lynn too. Hayley gave Mila a hug Zac and Taylor followed in suite.
"What are you guys doing here?!" Lynn asked.
Hayley shrugged, "We're actually performing at the IPA. We wanted to wait until then to surprise you, but Andy found out and she couldn't wait."
"Merry Christmas." Andy said with a smile.
"Plus, we haven't seen you since your wedding and we thought we could hang out with you guys today. Grab some dinner. Also join you for the pre award thing." Zac said.
"Oh please do. Andy needs all the friends she could get right now. She didn't do well last night." Lynn said. Hayley took her hand and they all started to walk towards The Globe.
Andy took Mila's hand and they followed.
"Also, we heard about your little problem with another girl." Taylor said.
"Oh don't get me started. Melissa actually showed up and pretty much hired like fifteen bodyguards for us. We have five around us right now." Lynn told them.
"By the way Michael and I have officially moved in together." Hayley said with a smile.
"Wait did Uncle Michael leave Virginia?" Mila asked her.
"Oh no, sweetie. I moved in with him. He's still in Virginia. I was staying with Shey, since Wendy moved to Boston. Now that Shey is back to work, Michael and I just kept going back and forth. He's the one that actually asked me to move in. At first I thought it was still a little fast, but Shey said that I could keep the keys just in case I need a break from him and the boys."
Andy smiled, "Oh you will. Trust me. Let me guess guys ever Friday night is Game Night. Saturdays are poker nights, and Sundays are Sports nights."
"How did you know?" Zac asked.
"We had them at my place for a while. Then, when I was on tour and away, found out they kept them going." Andy explained as they got in line for the tour.
"How about you guys? How are things?" Andy asked.
"Oh, just taking it easy. Working on some music. Just spending time with my family. Might be moving soon. Once I pick a place. Either New York, or L.A." Taylor said.
"Same with me. Working on a few side projects. Family. Was seeing someone, but didn't go anywhere. I'm thinking of moving to Seattle though. Great music scene out there." Zac told them as they entered the building.
"How about you Mila? How's life been since you've been with these two crazy women?" Hayley asked, turning her attention to her.
"It's been amazing! I'm making friends at school, and what's really cool is that they have no idea who my parents are! So they're friends with me for me! My teachers are so understanding, and I love my new school. I'm in theatre again, and I also start marching band soon! I can't wait." She told them and Hayley smiled taking her hand and giving it a gentle squeeze.
"If you ever need a break from your moms, just give me a call. Anytime." She told the young girl with a smile.
"Hey when's your birthday?" Zac asked.
"July twenty fifth. I'll be fifteen."
"Better start planning the party huh Andy?" Taylor said with a pat on Andy's back.
They reached the inside and the tour began. Somehow Andy and Mila ended up in the front of the group. Not sure how it happened, but Lynn saw the look on their faces and could tell they were excited for this tour. Both loving the theatre and she would hear them talk about their favorite plays and musicals back home.
She also knew Andy needed something like this. She also just hoped that Andy wouldn't put her knowledge to the test. She knew a lot about England's history and the time period this was in. She also hoped she wouldn't bring up the Doctor Who episode she loved so much. Or the movie 'Anonymous' which is one of her favorite movies.
She was also glad Andy thought about this small surprise for her. She missed Hayley and was excited that she was there with them. She also hoped they were going to be staying in the same hotel. The next couple of days were going to be a little stressful, but they would be able to handle it. Like they always do.
********************************************************************************************************
"I can't eat another bite! That was so good!" Andy said wiping her mouth with a napkin.
"Babe, it's just fish and chips."
"Yeah, but fish and chips in LONDON!"
"Weren't you here before though?" Mila asked.
Andy nodded, "Yeah, but we were only here for a couple of days and then we went back to Paris. So I didn't really get to see The Globe, The Tower of London, or experience The London Eye like I did today. I'm glad I got to experience all those things we y'all."
After The Globe, the driver came back earlier than he said and they all got into the limo. Andy explained the situation, and she said she would pay for the extra fee if there was one. The driver shook her off and said that wouldn't be a problem. They toured The Tower of London and Andy was just in awe. She ended up getting so lost that she lost the group.
It took them a good two hours to finally find her. When they did she told them she didn't realize she lost track of them. She told them The Tower of London was her second favorite structure, with Notre Dame being her top favorite. She wanted to hit every room she could.
After The Tower of London, it was close to dinner time and Hayley found a nice little hole in the wall that had the best food in the city. She found it by mistake once and every time she came to London it would be the place to go.
Now here they were eating dinner and chatting away. That's when one of the body guards came up to Andy and whispered something in her ear. Andy nodded and looked around. That's when she saw it. It didn't take long until another body guard went over to the person. She watched after a few moments and the person was escorted out of the restaurant. She didn't want to alert anyone, but Melissa did warn her about a news outlet that spreads lies about celebrities.
They've been on their tail since they stepped foot in London. Andy had to hand it to the body guards for pointing out any reporter associated with that news outlet. So far nothing has been in the papers or social media, but that doesn't mean they may or may not have something. It would be a matter of time until she would see something. But right now she was enjoying her time with her family and friends.
Or so she thought. She heard laughter and looked up. She saw Alexz walking in with a group of the models from the photoshoot. She really didn't want to be here right now. She sat up in her seat and grabbed Lynn's hand under the table.
Lynn turned and smiled at Andy, but her smile faded when she saw Andy's expression. She followed her gaze and saw the group of women. That was their cue to leave. All Lynn had to do was nod at Andy. She motioned for the server and she gave him her credit card. She politely asked if he could hurry because they had somewhere to be.
"You take Mila and get out of here. Take Hayley with you. I'll stay here with Zac and Taylor." Andy told Lynn. She just nodded and took Mila's hand. She asked Hayley to join them outside because she wanted to get pictures of the Christmas lights. Hayley smiled and took Mila's other hand and the three walked out.
Once they left the server came back with the check and Andy's credit card. She quickly signed the tab and took her credit card. She thanked the server and pulled out cash for his tip. She motioned for Zac and Taylor to come close.
"I'm sorry guys, but I kinda need a favor." She said in a low tone.
"Does it have to do with a group of girls that just walked in?" Zac asked not turning around.
"How did you know?"
"Andy, we've known for a while. We can tell when you get tense." Taylor said with a chuckle.
"Is this going to be Fresno again?" Zac asked with a smirk.
Andy smiled snapping her fingers and nodded, "Exactly like Fresno."
"Okay, let's do this!" Taylor said rubbing his hands together. He and Zac both picked up their bottles of beer and stood up. Andy stood up with them as they started to make their way over to them she stopped them.
They turned to her with a confused look, "I have to let Dave know what's going on." She turned to the bodyguard and let him in on what they were about to do. He nodded and he lifted up his arm and spoke into his wrist. Andy looked around and saw the other four nod their heads.
Andy nodded giving Zac and Taylor the go ahead. They both smiled and she just chuckled. They clinked their bottles together and started to stumble towards the table where the models and Alexz were. Zac and Taylor were joined by the other two bodyguards making sure they couldn't see Andy.
Dave and another bodyguard rushed Andy out of the pub. She let out a sigh of relief and looked around for Lynn. She smiled when she saw her. She was under an archway of lights taking a picture with Hayley and Mila. She told Dave to wait until she reached the three, and once she does he could get the guys. Dave smiled and nodded. He put a hand on her shoulder and gave her a wink.
She thanked him and said to thank his men and women for their protection. He gave her shoulder a squeeze and let her go. She smiled and started to walk towards the three women.
She took out her own phone and tapped on the camera icon. She couldn't pass up this moment. She snapped a few pictures until Mila noticed her.
"Mama! Come on! Take a picture with us!"
Andy smiled and hurried over to them. She came up to them and Hayley stepped away.
"Okay, a picture of the three of you. I have an idea. Mila, Andy, both of you put a hand on Lynn's stomach." Hayley said with a smile. The two did and Hayley smiled. She snapped a few shots just as Zac and Taylor came up to her.
She turned to Dave and asked if he could take a picture of all of them. He smiled and nodded. She thanked him and gave him her phone. The three rushed up to them. They posed as Dave took a few pictures. That's when he pointed up and they all looked up seeing a mistletoe.
"Oooo this one is for Andy and Lynn! It's starting to snow too! This is going to be a great picture!" Hayley said smiling.
Lynn smiled and looked at Andy, "At least this time we don't have Trent waving it above us this time."
"Oh, good old Trent. Can't wait to see him when we get back." Andy smiled and they both leaned in letting their lips touch gently.
Zac checked his watch and his eyes went wide, "Guys! We gotta go! We're gonna be late for that pre party thing or whatever!"
Lynn and Andy pulled away from each other. Andy let out a sigh and smiled looking at Lynn. She gently touched her cheek, "How did you handle all of this a few years back?"
Lynn smiled and touched Andy's hand on her cheek, "It was hard, but I had Alex and Brian. You have me, and Mila. We're with you all through this. Just a couple more days and we'll be back home in our house, bed, with our friends and family. Just gotta get through this and we'll be back home before you know it."
"I love you so much. Thank you for being there for me. Always pulling me out of my dark place. Letting not get into my head."
Lynn smiled, "You pulled me out first. You, with your words, and always being there for me. I love you. I fell in love with who you are and I wouldn't be in this paradise if it wasn't for you."
Andy kissed Lynn's forehead. She wished they could stay like this forever, but she kept hearing that they had to get going. Andy smiled and looked at Lynn, "Guess it's time for round two."
"Now, come on, let's get you looking good and do some ground work. Heard some of your photos are going to be featured tonight."
Andy sighed, "I really hope I won't be answering and asking questions. Really don't want my brain to melt."
Lynn laughed and they started to make their way towards the others. Andy let out a sigh as they joined everyone. They just had to get through the next few days. Tonight Andy had a feeling that she should stick close to Lynn and Mila. She didn't know why. She had to make a phone call. She just had to make sure what she was feeling was right.
*******************************************************************************************************
"Thanks Nina, I just had to be sure. I'm so sorry for waking you, but I couldn't shake this."
"It's okay, something told me told me to answer my phone. That it was important. Like I said, keep your eyes open, and don't let Lynn out of your sight. Mila as well, but something tells me she's going to be okay if she's with a protective figure."
Andy smiled, "She loves talking to our body guards. Think she'll stick with one of them tonight."
Andy felt someone touch her shoulder and she turned around seeing Lynn. She smiled and nodded, "Thank you Nina. I owe you one again. Get some rest."
"Bye Andy, I'll see you soon."
They both hung up and Lynn looked at Andy with a concerned look, "What was that all about?"
Andy put her phone in her back pocket and took Lynn's hand leading her away from the entrance. When she was sure they were away from prying eyes and listening ears she looked at Lynn.
"I got this feeling today after dinner and it wasn't a good one. Something told me I have to stay close to you tonight. Close to Mila. I felt like something bad was going to happen to you, so I called Nina."
"What did she say?"
Andy cleared her throat, "She said that there's someone here that wants to hurt you in some way. They want to ruin something. She said it was cloudy, but it was bad. If we can't stay close to Mila then she'll be safe with a protective figure. Like Myke, Dave, or Samantha. Either way, we need to stick together tonight. I can't shake this feeling. It's still with me. I still haven't told you what I can do."
"Andrea?!"
Andy looked around the corner and saw Serenity looking for her. She turned her attention back to Lynn, "Tonight before bed, I'll tell you everything. But just please understand that I can't leave your side tonight."
Lynn really looked at Andy and saw the fear in her eyes. She has never seen her this scared before. It was unnerving. She had so many questions to ask, but they heard Andy's name being called again. Lynn let out a sigh and nodded, "Okay, okay. Tell me everything tonight. But right now we have to get back in there before Serenity sends out a search party."
Andy nodded, "You're right. I just don't know how to face all of them now."
Lynn gently touched Andy's cheek, "I'm here. Don't worry. I'm with you every step of the way. Now come on, let's work our magic."
Andy kissed the heel of Lynn's hand and nodded. She knew she was right. Without another word she took Lynn's hand in hers and they started to make their way back to the party. It was in full swing. Music was blasting and everyone was having a good time. Lynn hooked her arm through Andy's and they slowly started to make their way through the crowd.
Andy still had that uneasy feeling. She kept looking around trying to figure out who would try to harm her wife. There was a glimpse of blonde and all Andy could do was pull Lynn closer to her. Just then a blonde woman came stumbling behind them. If Andy hadn't pulled Lynn closer she would have been knocked over by the blonde.
"Close one." Lynn said softly.
"Let's find Mila. I still don't feel right."
"Maybe we should just call it a night."
"Yeah, I think you're right. Let's find Mila and get out of here. Maybe catch a movie."
It didn't take them long to find Mila. She was shadowing Samantha. Andy couldn't help but smile when they came up to her.
"Having fun kiddo?" Andy asked with a smile.
"So much! Samantha said she can teach me some moves to defend myself." Mila said with a smile.
Lynn and Andy chuckled. Lynn took Mila's hand and took her a few steps away. Not too far from where Andy could see them. Andy looked at Samantha and cleared her throat.
"Is there anyway a few of you could join us at the entrance? I have an uneasy feeling about this party and I feel as though my family is in danger. Lynn and I want take Mila out of here and go catch a movie."
Samantha nodded, "I understand. I'll talk to Myke and Dave. Go to the entrance and we'll see who we can spare." She gently touched Andy's shoulder.
"We'll take care of you and your family. Don't worry."
"Thank you." Andy said giving her a small smile.
Samantha let go of Andy's shoulder and walked away. Andy watched after her for a moment then turned back to Lynn and Mila. She walked up to them and smiled. Mila was excited to go to the movies with them. Sure, it was just the movies but to see a movie in London was a real treat. Also to see London at night.
Andy suggested they get their coats and head towards the entrance. She said they should hurry. In haste, they went to the coat check and Andy helped both of them with their coats. Andy was putting on her sports coat as they came to the entrance. She saw Myke and Dave standing there with two other body guards.
Once they came up to them Myke suggested they hurry because Serenity was on a warpath trying to find them.
Andy could hear her name being called. But she didn't want to turn back. The doors opened and the car was waiting for them. Once they were in the car, the three couldn't help but laugh. The driver looked in the rear view mirror and couldn't help but smile. They finally calmed down and they all let out a sigh.
"I felt like we were in a movie or something trying to get away." Mila said wiping a tear from her eye.
"Right there with ya kiddo." Andy said catching her breath.
"I've been here plenty of times and that was one of the most exciting things I've ever done." Lynn said with a huge smile.
"I still will never understand all these pre award things. The networking, talking to people. I don't get it. Everyone is two faced. But I'm glad I'm here with my girls." Andy told them.
Lynn put her head on Andy's shoulder and Mila looked up at her and smiled. Andy wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now. She had all she could hope for right here in the car.
The driver pulled up to the movie theatre and Andy told him they could see themselves out. She would let him know when the movie was over. He touched his cap and nodded. All three thanked him and they got out of the car. They didn't care what movie was playing. They would just see the next showing.
They went up to the box office and Andy paid for three tickets. She thanked the young man and they three walked into the theatre. They got in line for concessions and Mila was asking what she could get. Andy smiled and told she could get whatever she wanted. Mila got excited and started to really look at the menu.
"I'm glad we did this." Lynn said squeezing Andy's hand.
"Me too. Not looking forward to tomorrow, but this, this is all I wanted since we stepped foot off that plane. I can't wait to get home." Andy kissed Lynn's temple and smiled.
They just had to get through tomorrow and everything would go back to the way it was. Andy still had that uneasy feeling. But it wasn't as bad as it was before. She kept looking at her surroundings and didn't see anything out of the blue. She could point out the body guards but that was about it. She just hoped this feeling would go away soon.
After getting what they wanted at the stand they made their way to the theatre that would be playing the movie they were going to see. Andy stopped in her tracks for a moment told Lynn to go inside. She gave Lynn her drink and told her she would be along shortly. She gave her a quick kiss and watched as the two walked through the doors.
She turned around not seeing anyone but she knew someone was there.
"I was wondering how long it was going to take you." Andy said into the air.
Just then she saw Nathan coming up to her, "Well I had to see for myself that you were in town."
"You've been following me since we got to the hotel. Why?"
Nathan sighed, "I got word that Nicole is in town with someone and I'm not sure who. She's been to the parties and she's going to be a the award show tomorrow. I didn't want to worry you until I knew for sure."
Andy grabbed his arm and pulled him aside, "Are you sure? You're absolutely sure?!"
Nathan nodded, "I've also seen her with a blonde. I don't know who it is, but I did see Melissa talking to the same blonde the other night."
"Us being in that hotel isn't by chance is it?"
Nathan shook his head, "No, I wanted to make sure you and your family would be safe. It's my hotel. Andy, I know we had a rough start, but the last couple of years I've come to trust you as a friend. I hope you can do the same."
Andy nodded, "I do trust you as a friend Nathan, and I thank you for keeping an eye out for my family. I have bodyguards-"
"I know I've seen them, but it's still not enough. I've heard whispers of something happening to Lynn while she's here. I have my best people working on it. I'll put my own personal security with yours. I'll talk to Melissa tonight. Whatever this threat is we'll find it. That girl that almost knocked Lynn over wasn't going to be an accident. She was planted there to knock her down."
"How do you know?"
Nathan looked around and cleared his throat, "One of mine picked her up and said that she wasn't drunk at all. Someone paid her to knock Lynn down. Andy, they told her to make sure she fell on her stomach."
**************************************************************************************************
"Melissa there is a threat against my wife!" Andy shouted.
Nathan and Melissa both jumped at Andy throwing a glass and breaking it against the wall.
After the movie theatre and getting back to the hotel, Andy sought out Melissa and Nathan. She wouldn't be able to sleep knowing there is a threat against Lynn.
"Andy I understand." Melissa started to say.
"Do you?! None of this would have happened if she was with me! Why is always us?! Why do they want to hurt us?!"
"I don't know. But what I do know is that we will find out. Who ever is doing this wants to hurt you in the worst way. I'll double your security. Even Nathan said he would help." Melissa said trying to calm Andy down.
"Where's Nicole now?" Andy asked looking at Nathan.
"She's been staying at the Ritz hotel. Which is really pricey. With her being there, it just means she's with someone that has money." He explained.
"How long has she been here?" Melissa asked.
"She arrived when you did. Part of me thinks she was on the same plane as you. But you guys were in first class right?"
Andy nodded, she rubbed her face in her hands and shook her head. She couldn't believe this was happening.
"Melissa does Alexz know Lynn is pregnant?" Andy asked.
"Yes. I had a talk with her the other night. I was trying to tell her to stay away from you and your family."
Andy nodded, "So Nicole is here, Alexz knows Lynn is pregnant, and that girl was paid off to force my wife to have a miscarriage. Melissa I can't stay here any longer knowing someone is trying to hurt Lynn."
"I know Andy, but you running away isn't going to solve anything. Just leave after tomorrow. Say that you have to get home as soon as possible. Fuck it, leave as soon as the award show is over. Pack before the show, and I'll have everything sent to the airport. I'll keep Samantha and Craig to help." Melissa explained.
"What do I tell Lynn and Mila? Mila's not going to like that I cut this trip short."
"Tell Lynn the truth. Tell Mila the truth. But don't tell them until you're on the plane."
"I'll even escort you myself with my detail. Once the ceremony is over, you three go to the bathroom. We'll be waiting with a change of clothes for you. Change quickly and then we'll be off. No one will know you're missing until it's too late. I've been to the after parties. Trust me, everyone will be too drunk to know you're not there." Nathan said.
"What about Serenity? She's not going to like the fact that we left in such a hurry." Andy said with a sigh.
"I'll take care of Serenity. I'll book your flight tonight. Now, go to Lynn, I'm sure she's wondering where you ran off to. Also I think it's time you switch agencies." Melissa gently putting a hand on Andy's arm.
Andy nodded, "You're right. But I don't think I'll be able to get out of the contract."
"Send me your contract and I'll have my legal team look over it." Nathan said with a small smile.
"Now go to your wife and get some rest." Melissa said and Andy gave her a small smile.
"Thank you both of you." She softly said and gave them both a smile. She left the room leaving Nathan and Melissa looking after her.
"We need to find out who is behind this. Who ever it is has been after Andy since she and Lynn have been together. It has to be one of their exes that's the only explanation." Melissa said.
"I couldn't agree more. You all are welcome to any of my resources. We should get some rest. Looks like I'll be flying back home tomorrow. Andy's going to need all the help she can get." Nathan said with a sigh.
Andy walked into her hotel room and sighed. She saw Lynn standing by the doors that led out onto the balcony. Lynn turned to Andy and rushed up to her.
"What happened?"
"Is Mila asleep?"
Lynn nodded, "Babe, tell me what's going on?"
Andy sighed and led Lynn to a set of chairs. She gestured for Lynn to sit down and then she took the seat across from her. She took Lynn's hand in hers and really looked at her wife.
"I love you with all my heart, and what I'm about to tell you, I've only discovered four months before I met you. I thought I was crazy, until I got confirmation about it. Through Nina." Andy started to say and then she cleared her throat.
"At some point a few years ago, I noticed that what I would write down would come true. Didn't matter what it was. Then, I started to have deja vu almost every day. Then, dreams just seem to become more vivid. I would get feelings in the pit of my stomach. I wasn't sure what was going on. But the biggest one was when I was with Nicole."
"Andy, can we not bring her up?"
"I know, I know, I'm sorry, but she's part of this. Just trust me." Andy said softly and Lynn nodded. Andy stood up and paced for a bit and then leaned against dresser.
"The last year I was with her, I wasn't looking at her. I was looking at someone else. It started with her hair, it wasn't dark, but a mix of blonde and brown. Then, her eyes. They weren't the green blue, but hazel brown. Her touch wasn't the same either. It wasn't her touch, it was someone else's. I didn't know what was going on. I thought it was because she was cheating on me that I was imagining things." Andy ran her hand through her hair and sighed.
"Before I went to that concert I looked up PVRIS. I saw you. I felt as though I saw you before you. Then, I met you and everything started to fall into place. I was seeing you. I couldn't make anything out of it. I thought it was just my mind playing tricks on me. Wanting it to be you. But the more time I spent with you the more the image became clear.
I was so scared I was going to see someone else in you. But I haven't. Then I started to realize, what I was seeing in Nicole I would see in all my exes. Hazel eyes, blonde, brown hair. Different touches, different lips. Part of me didn't want it to be true. One because of who you are. A frontwoman of an amazing band. Two because you would never see me like that."
Andy came back over to Lynn and kneeled down on her good knee. She took Lynn's hand in hers and looked at her wife, "Every time something like this would happen I would call Nina. She's been helping me trying to hone in on what I can do. Helping learn how to ground myself so that way I'm not overloaded with everything. I told her everything that I came back from Charlotte what happened. I asked her if this was supposed to happen. If this is where I was led to."
"What did she say?" Lynn asked softly.
"She told me that I don't have to guard my heart anymore. To let you in and to let my heart love again. To not push you away, and to see where this goes. The future with us is bright. But it will be a tough road. To fight for us no matter what. She said the search was over and to let it play out. She told me to start really using my gifts to protect my family. Tonight was a good example."
"What do you mean?"
Andy got up slowly and went back to chair to sit down. "The uneasy feeling I had tonight is still with me. I found out a few things. One being that girl that almost knocked you over."
"Andrea you're scaring me."
Andy cleared her throat. She didn't know how to tell her without hiding her tears. She just had to tell her. She quickly wiped her eyes and leaned forward towards her wife.
"That woman was planned. She was supposed to knock you down. Making sure you hit your stomach forcing a miscarriage."
Lynn back away from Andy and stood up. She was trying to process what she was told. She put a hand over her mouth and she could help but let a sob escape her throat. She shook her head as the tears escaped her eyes and ran down her cheeks.
Andy didn't know what to do. She wanted to go over to her, but she knew she needed her space for a bit. Lynn turned and looked at Andy and went back to the chair.
She got herself together and cleared her throat, "Okay, I need you to tell me EXACTLY what's going on."
Andy nodded, "Of course, ask me anything."
"Who is trying to hurt me?"
Andy rubbed her face in her hands and was about to say something when there was a knock at their door. The two looked at each other confused. Andy stood up but told Lynn to stay in the chair. Lynn's phone started to ring as Andy was making her way to the door.
Lynn picked up her phone and saw Melissa's name pop up. "Melissa this isn't a good time."
"Lynn! I need you and Andy to get to Mila's room right now!"
"Wait why?"
"Just do it!"
Lynn didn't wait to hang up she just grabbed Andy's arm and rushed through the connecting door. Once they were on the other side Andy heard a sound that she knew all too well.
