Chapter 22: Coachella
"We'll see you in a few hours bye baby," Andy said into her phone then hung up. She watched as Ethan was giving his mom a hug and she kissed his forehead. She smiled and walked over to them.
"Are you two sure you have everything?" The older woman asked them and they both nodded. She hugged them both and they said their byes. She watched as the two best friends started to walk towards the check point.
Andy smiled at Ethan, "Good surprise?" She asked and he nodded.
"Yes! Thank you! I didn't think I needed to see my family that much." He smiled at her and put his arm around her giving her a side hug that she returned.
"You spend so much time with mine I figured you could use some of your family, and some good ol' Wisconsin partying. Which by the way Lynn only knows about that one night. Not the others. Also thank you for saving me from those girls."
"Really didn't think they would leave you alone. Plus you looked like you were about to kill some one."
Andy nodded, "Well when strangers start recognizing you because of who you're dating and all they want to know is what it's like, you get a little irritated."
Ethan nodded, "Yeah I hear ya. Are you ready for fucking Coachella?!"
She laughed when he did a little happy dance, "I know you are. But we have to get there first."
They moved along the line and she smiled because in a few hours she would be seeing her girlfriend after being apart for almost three weeks.

"LYNN! The prints are in!" Angel yelled from the front door. Lynn stood up from the couch then sat back down. She was nervous about these pictures. When her photographer friend Heather asked her to do a shoot for a certain magazine she was all for it.
But of course she wanted to talk it over with Alex and Brian. Just like with the other magazine they told her to go for it and have fun. It was a good thing Angel flew in a couple of weeks early. When she arrived, Lynn was so happy because she wanted her to be there too. She was a familiar face.
They talked about it and then Angel brought up Andy. Lynn didn't tell Andy. Because before Andy and Ethan left for Wisconsin they had a talk about those kinds of magazines and movies. Andy said she was really uncomfortable with things like that.
When they talked about it more she wanted to end the conversation because she was getting uncomfortable. She did say that she respected the women for being comfortable with themselves to do it. She just didn't feel comfortable looking at strange naked women. Even when she would watch a movie or a show that had naked women in it she would feel uncomfortable.
Andy would be flying in a few hours and she didn't know how to tell her. She was told the photos and the article would be published the day of Coachella. She really hoped to talk to Andy about it before she would find out through social media.
Angel came over and sat down on the couch next to her. She gave the envelope to Lynn, but she shook her head and gave a sheepish smile.
"Oh come on! You have to do the honors!"
She shook her head again, "I'm too nervous. You open it."
Angel gave her a look and smiled. She opened the envelope and took out a small stack of fresh new pictures.
"Lyndsey Gunnulfsen!!!!" She exclaimed and then looked back at Lynn.
"These are amazing! Look at you!" Angel couldn't believe how wonderful her best friend looked in the pictures. From the outfits, to her makeup, to the topless poses.
"I really like this one," she said handing Lynn a picture. Lynn looked at it and smiled. It was her in a red soft chair with her feet in the air, her head hanging off the edge, and she was smiling.
"I think this was my favorite." She said in a small voice. They heard a knock at the door and Angel yelled for whoever it was to come in. The door opened and Lynn looked up to see her three favorite guys walk in.
"What's going on?" Justin asked sitting in one of the chairs across from them.
"Lynn's pictures came in!" Angel said looking through some more.
"Can we check them out?" Brian asked looking at Lynn.
"It's cool if you don't want us to though." Alex pointed out and Lynn smiled at him.
"You guys are my best friends and I wanna share this with you. It's not just my success, it's ours. We've come a long way since Woody's and Mickey's, and I wouldn't have gotten through everything without you guys." She smiled at them.
Without a word all three of them went over to her and just put their arms around her. Angel smiled, putting the pictures down, she moved over and joined in on the group hug.
"Awww I don't know what I would do without you guys!" Lynn said and they all started to pull away from her. Then, she started to talk about the pictures. She answered their questions about her poses and how she felt about being able to come into her own. Then, Justin brought up Andy and asked if she knows about the pictures and the article.
"She doesn't know I did it. We had this conversation about women in these kinds of magazines and she said that she has respect for the women. You know for them being comfortable in their own skin. But she's not too keen on it. I don't know how she's going to take it. Plus I want to be able to tell her before this gets all over the place." She explained and they nodded.
"Well it's not like she can control what you want to do. It's not her say. They reached out to you and you had fun with it. So she'll just have to deal with it." Justin said and Lynn couldn't help but think that he was right.
"So are you going to meet them at the airport, or are they coming straight here?" Angel asked still looking at the pictures.
"They're coming here. Mark sent a car for them. Figured it would be easier and we wouldn't be hounded with the paparazzi." Lynn told her.
Angel nodded, "When does their flight come in?" Before Lynn could answer her there was a small knock on the door. Angel told them to come in and Mark peaked his head in. He came into the room quickly and closed the door. He rushed over to them saw the Lynn's pictures on the table.
"Um, so you might want to hide those. Andy and Ethan just pulled up. Lynn after what you told me I don't think having an argument is a good way to start this tour." He said and watched as all five of them started to quickly but carefully gather up the pictures.
"Seriously?! I thought their flight wasn't coming in until three." Lynn said giving some of the pictures to Angel so she could put them back into the envelope.
"It's three forty five." Brian pointed out and Lynn's head whipped around to him and widened her eyes.
"Where the fuck did the time go?!" She said jumping off the couch. She was still in her pajamas and still had bed head. She got up really late because she and Andy talked for hours on the phone last night.
Everyone watched as she rushed to her room to get ready for Andy.
Brian couldn't help but shake his head, "You would think they've seen each other almost every day for about two months. She would get used to having Andy not seeing her all dolled up."
"This coming from the guy to did the exact same thing we when first started dating." Angel pointed out coming out of her room from hiding the pictures. She smiled and sat down beside him. He gave her a smirk and rolled his eyes, but leaned in and gave her a small kiss.
Mark opened the door to greet Ethan and Andy. He gave them both hugs as Alex jumped up and started to help them with their luggage. He offered to show Ethan his room and started to lead him further in.
"Nice digs y'all got here." Andy said with a smile looking around.
"Yeah, figured we all could be in one place but also have our own spaces." Justin said leaning back in his chair and putting his hands behind his head. Brian and Angel shook their heads standing up from the couch to give Andy a hug.
"How was your trip?" Angel asked pulling away and it was Brian's turn to hug Andy.
"Much needed for Ethan," she started to say as she and Brian pulled away. Then, Justin came up to her and hugged her as well.
"Glad to see y'all again though. We missed you guys."
"That would be and understatement." Ethan said coming out of his room with Alex. Hugs again were going around and when everyone was finished Andy took out a small plastic bag.
"By the way, we got y'all a few souvenirs." Andy said with a smile.
Then looked around, "Hey where's my girlfriend?"
"Well she lost track of time so she's in your room putting herself together." Alex said with a pat on her back. She just shook her head.
"Well, here," she said giving Ethan the bag and picked up her duffel bag.
"Let's see what she's up to. Uh, which room?" She asked and Angel pointed to one of the doors. Andy gave her a small thank you and a smile. She walked over to the door and didn't even bother knocking. She softly turned the knob and walked in quietly.
When she was fully in the room she smiled seeing Lynn tossing clothes on the bed. Her back was turned to the door and didn't see Andy. Andy slowly put down her bag and took quiet steps towards her. She wrapped her arms around Lynn startling her for a moment and kissed her neck softly.
"You know you don't have to get all dolled up for me. You're perfect the way you are, no matter what you wear, or not wearing."
Lynn smiled and turned in her arms wrapping her arms around Andy's shoulders, "I've missed you." She whispered leaning in.
"Not as much as I missed you." Without missing a beat she picked Lynn up and gently put her on the bed.
She stood back up and took off her shirt, "I think we have some making up to do." She said with a smirk. Lynn let out a surprised giggle when Andy climbed on top of her and gave her a deep kiss.
"Don't think we're gonna see them for a while." Alex said sitting down looking at the shot glass Ethan had given him. Everyone nodded in agreement, as they were admiring the souvenirs that Andy and Ethan got them from Wisconsin.
"Maybe we should give them some privacy." Justin suggested and again everyone agreed. They all stood up and they gathered up some small things to get ready to leave.
"Let's show Ethan Coachella. Well at least where it's gonna be." Brian said as Justin closed the door and locked it.
"By the way I have videos of 'Drunk Andy' to show you guys." Ethan said with a smile and shaking his head.
"Oh! I can't wait to see those!" Brian rubbed his hands together and smiled.
"How long do you think they're gonna be?" Alex asked checking his watch.
"Well, they've been away from each other for a while and I'm pretty sure they're gonna be in the bedroom for a long time." Mark said taking out car keys.
"How about we just check in tonight after dinner and we'll go from there. I know Lynn wanted to do a movie night with everyone." Angel said and every nodded.
"Oh, Andy offered to cook tonight. She said if she needed anything she would text me." Ethan told them as they reached the SUV.
"Think they'll be done in time?" Justin joked and everyone laughed getting into the car.
"Guess time will tell." Mark told them, as he started up the car. Everyone buckled in and he started to drive away. He hoped that Lynn would tell Andy about the photos and article soon. After he and Lynn had a long conversation about everything. He told her to tell Andy the truth and to not hide something like this from her. Lynn agreed and she told him that she would bring it up when Andy came back from her vacation. He just hoped she would.

"There has to be a way to cut these without crying," Lynn said in frustration wiping the tears from her eyes. Andy smiled and turned around. She gestured for Lynn to give her the knife. Without a word Lynn watched as she expertly cut the onion in half, then diced it in just a few seconds. She grabbed the other half and did the same movements. Lynn just looked at her with a gaped mouth. Andy just smiled and kissed her cheek. She turned back to the stove to check on the oil.
"You seriously need to teach me how to cook." She said shaking her head.
"Well, we can always start with the basics, meaning can you cook eggs?"
"Define that." Lynn said putting the diced onions in a small bowl.
"Can you scramble them, or poach them, or make them over easy, or sunny side up. Do you like the yolk cooked all they way through, or runny? I can teach you all those ways and it's a good way to start. Or we can start with toast." Andy chuckled at the last part.
"Or boiling water. Had a friend once that said he burned boiling water. Didn't know how he managed it that. But he did."
"Okay, how does one manage to burn water?" Lynn asked starting to cut up the bell peppers. Andy turned back around and watched Lynn. She shook her head seeing how uncomfortable she was.
"Here," she came up behind and put her hand on top of Lynn's hand that had the knife and the other on top of the one holding the pepper.
"Hold the knife like this and as you're cutting you can move along and keep this hand to steady whatever you're cutting. Like so." Lynn leaned against Andy as she followed her movements. They just spent hours in their bedroom when Andy arrived and it was getting close to dinner. Andy promised to make dinner for everyone and as much as the two wanted to stay in bed they had to get up.
But right now they both wished they were back in bed continuing to explore one another. Andy cleared her throat and took a step back, "I need to check the strips. 'Cause if I keep going we're not gonna be able to finish making dinner. Plus big day tomorrow, Coachella! You excited?"
Lynn put the cut bell peppers in another bowl and turn around, "I'm nervous actually. I honestly never thought we would make this far. Let alone doing both weekends at Coachella. I mean we've done music festivals before, but this takes the cake. Even though it's just one of the small stages, it's still an amazing accomplishment. I get to share it with my best friends and I get to share it with you." She came up to Andy and wrapped her arms around her from behind.
Andy smiled and put a hand on top of Lynn's, "As much as I want to turn around I can't otherwise the strips would burn along with the oil for the veggies. But what I can tell you is that I'm so glad I'm on this journey with you and I'm glad to be a part of your life." Andy felt her lips on the back of her exposed neck and she sighed.
Lynn held her tighter and she in turn let out a sigh. She needed to tell Andy about the magazine. Just as she was about to bring it up the door opened and everyone walked in.
"It smells SO GOOD IN HERE!" Justin said walking into living room. Lynn let go of Andy and went back to cutting up some more vegetables.
Ethan walked up to the counter bar and smiled. Andy still had her back turned, he watched as she added sauce to the beef strips and then he saw Lynn.
He walked around the counter bar and up to Lynn, "Hey you! Andy hogged you for a while didn't get a chance to give you a hug earlier." Lynn smiled when he hugged her from behind and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Then he turned his attention to Andy.
"Oh my God Fajitas!" Ethan said reaching for a beef strip but Andy smacked his hand away.
"Hey, hey, hey, this isn't home. We have others we're making it for remember that." She pointed the spatula at him and he patted her on the back.
"Noted. By the way, don't be mad at me."
Andy looked at him with a confused look and then Brian came up to her, and bowed, "All hail the Fireball Queen." Andy looked at him with a horrified look.
"I'm going to kill you!" She said and started to chase Ethan around the house. Lynn looked at Brian and he pulled out his phone.

"I'm guessing you didn't see these. Ethan sent them to me after we watched them." He scrolled through his phone and found the videos Ethan took of Andy on their vacation. Lynn watched as Andy was taking shot after shot and was having a good time.
Andy came back a little out of breath to check on the beef strips. She let out a sigh of relief when they didn't burn. Brian walked out of the kitchen and Lynn crossed her arms looking at Andy.
"Alright let's get those veggies in the pan." She threw the dish towel over her shoulder and turned around to see Lynn with a disapproval look.
"Okay, okay, okay, I'm sorry. I know I only told you about that one night and not the others. But, BUT I was careful and I didn't drive anyway and, AND I stayed close to Ethan the entire time we were out."
Lynn still didn't say anything she just kept looking at Andy. One of the reasons she was a little upset was because Andy promised her that she wouldn't do anything stupid and get too drunk. Another reason was so Andy wouldn't be a drunken idiot.
Andy sighed and shook her head, "I'm sorry, but things never got out of hand. Ethan was right there the entire time like I said before. Plus those were only first four nights we were there. After that it was just a drink or two. I know it looks bad, but I didn't do anything stupid, that I know of."
Lynn shook her head and finally smiled, "I'm glad you had a good time. I'm just glad you weren't kissing random girls." Andy chuckled and kissed Lynn's forehead.
"Well, you would be surprised on how many of them tried and Ethan and his brother pulled them off of me. He can tell you all about it."
"Oh really? Well I guess I'll go find out." She gave Andy a kiss on her cheek and walked out of the kitchen. Andy shook her head and smiled. She put the dish towel on the counter and continued to cook dinner.
Lynn walked into the living room where everyone was laughing and talking. She picked up a pillow and sat down next to Ethan and smiled. He looked at her with a smile and nod then he went back to talking with everyone else. She continued to look at him with a smile and he kept talking with the others.
He finally turned to her and gave out a nervous laugh, "Um, you okay?"
Lynn just nodded still looking at him. Everyone turned their attention between the two and Angel finally spoke up, "Lynn why are you looking at him like you wanna kill him?"
"Oh, I wanna know about all the girls he had to tear off of Andy while they were in Wisconsin."
Ethan's face went from happy to horrified. He started to avoid eye contact with her. Lynn got herself more comfortable and crossed her arms, "So, care to explain?"
He cleared his throat and turned to her, "See what had happened was," he started to say.

"Dude I can't believe we're actually here!" Andy said after taking a couple of pictures with her camera.
"I can't either! This is such a dream come true! Of all the times we talked about coming here we're actually here!"
"I can't wait to try the food!"
"The drinks!"
"The music!"
"THE FERRIS WHEEL!" They both said at the same time and they laughed.
"We'll check everything out after their set. Come on let's go find them. Some how we kinda wondered away." Andy said taking a few more pictures and then they started to walk towards where they thought PVRIS would be performing.
"Hang on, where is it though?" Ethan asked taking off his sunglasses. Andy looked around and then pulled out her phone.
"Wait, didn't they show you yesterday?"
"Well yeah, but they were still kinda setting things up. I just saw the tent it was going to be under not the stage stage."
"Hold on I downloaded the app." Just when she was looking at her phone Lynn's picture came up.
She smiled and answered her phone, "Y'all got ahead of us. Where are you?"
"We're by the main stage just checking things out. Where are you?"
Andy looked around and found some merchandise tables, "I can see some merch tables, porter potties, and some food trucks. I have a clear view of the ferris wheel though."
"We're actually about to head towards the wheel. We'll meet you there."
"Alright see ya in a bit." She hung up her phone and put it in her back pocket. She looked at Ethan and smiled. She couldn't help but take her camera and take a quick picture of him with the sun shinning right behind him.
"Come on they're meeting us at the wheel." She said and they started to walk towards the big ferris wheel.
"Did you talk to her about it yet?" Angel asked Lynn. Their group was also walking towards the ferris wheel and waiting on Lynn's answer. She shook her head.
"I haven't had a chance yet. The VERY last thing I want is for her to find out before I could tell her. I mean it's already all over social media. I even posted it. But she hasn't seen it. The only time she's on her phone is when her family calls. Or when she checks her bills. But I've seen her post her pictures. Other than that she hasn't liked or commented on anything."
"Guess she hasn't been noticing she being tagged in comments about your shoot too." Justin pointed out looking at his phone.
"What are you talking about?" Lynn asked pulling out her phone as they reached the wheel. She looked through her phone and saw comments on one of her profiles. Most of them asking if Andy knows about this and how does Andy feel about it. She shook her head and put her phone in her back pocket with a sigh. She knew she had to bring up, but she had other things on her mind right now. There was so much to do and so much to see, she wanted to enjoy this time she had before things got serious.
She heard the clicking of a camera and turned to see Andy and Ethan walking up to them. Andy was wearing a tank top that had a tropical background and it said, "SUNS OUT GUNS OUT." Along with her black pin strip shorts, and black and white Vans. Her silvery white hair was slicked back, and her Ray Ban sunglasses fit her face just right. For some reason Lynn couldn't help but blush for the third time that day seeing Andy in that tank top.
She was brought out of her trance when Andy came up to her and gave her a kiss on her forehead, "So are we riding this thing or what?"
"You gonna be okay?" Ethan asked.
"No, but you know me, I'm gonna do this anyway."
They got in line and talked about how it was really amazing being where they were. For the first time for mostly all of them. Then, they decided who was going with who. Of course Lynn and Andy would be in one. As well as Angel and Brian. Then, Alex and Ethan. Justin was going to ride with Lauren. When everyone was paired off they decided if they get separated to meet at the main stage area and go from there. Alex of course mentioned food. So after the ride they decided to meet up and grab a quick bite to eat then they had to get ready for their set.
It was finally their turns and they each got into their seats and Andy triple checked to make sure her strap was tight enough. Lynn looked over at her and could tell she was nervous.
"Are you okay?"
Andy shook her head, "I guess this is a bad time to mention I really fucking hate heights. Like I really fucking hate them. I know I mentioned it in New York. I really don't know why I do this to myself. I really don't. I love roller coasters too, But they're quick and fast and over. Ferris wheels not so much. Oh fuck we're moving. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck." She kept repeating the word when they started to move.
Lynn noticed the grip Andy had on the bar and could see her knuckles turn white. Seeing how nervous she was this definitely wasn't the time to say something about the article. She gently put a hand on Andy's thigh and she jumped a bit.
"Just breath and enjoy the view. Take some pictures."
"Uh, yeah about that. Um," she let out a breath, "I don't think I can move."
"Hey Andy! I found these screws! Think they came from your spot!"
"ETHAN I WILL FUCKING MURDER YOU ONE OF THESE DAYS!"
She could hear him and Alex laugh but then they stopped suddenly. She couldn't see that Lynn had turned around and gave them both a glare. They both stopped laughing.
"Baby, you're gonna have an amazing view. Try taking some pictures and think about the effects you get when you're moving and taking a still shot."
Andy nodded and took in a deep breath, "You're right," she said letting it out. She slowly let go of the bar and not even looking she felt around her lap until she felt her camera. She took it and started to take some pictures of the area. She turned and took some of Lynn as well.
She took one more and she knew that this one would be her favorite. She had to make it a point to get it printed and framed. She felt the ride stop and she knew what was coming up next. She put the camera in her lap and then started to grip the bar again.
"I fucking hate this part." She said closing her eyes and Lynn put her hands over hers.
"Andrea look at me."
Andy shook her head, "I can't. This stop go thing. Is the worst part of the fucking ferris wheel!"
Andy felt hands on her cheeks and she slowly turned her head towards Lynn, but her eyes were still closed.
She felt Lynn take off her sunglasses, "Look at me." Andy shook her head with her eyes were tightly closed. Lynn couldn't help but smile.
"Come on, open your eyes."
"Are we at the top?"
Lynn looked around, as of right now they weren't close to the top, but they were getting closer.
"Not yet, but we are going to get there soon. Now, come on open those amazing brown eyes I love looking into."
Andy nodded and slowly opened one eye keeping the other close. Lynn looked at her and Andy shook her head. Lynn gave her a look again. Just as Andy was about to open her other eye they started to move again.
"Fuck!" She closed her eyes again and Lynn didn't know whether to laugh or be frustrated.
"Just keep your eyes on me."
Andy smiled and gave a little chuckle.
"What?"
"Just thought of a music video and the song. Because my response to that is, 'I won't let them pull you under.'"
Lynn shook her head. She couldn't believe her girlfriend recited the band's lyrics from a song that they did nearly eight years ago.
"Now, come on just keep your eyes on me."
Andy nodded and slowly opened her eyes. They were met with the hazel eyes she would never grow tired of. Lynn leaned in and gave her a small kiss on her lips.
"It's almost over. There's gonna be an amazing view at the top and I can't help but feel that you may want to take a picture."
"You're right. I just hate heights, and flying, and snakes. My top three fears, all my life." They started to move again and this time Andy tried to look around when she did, she noticed they were almost to the top.
"Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay," she kept repeating. Lynn smiled and moved little closer to Andy making the ferris wheel car move slightly and Andy closed her eyes.
"Why do I do this to myself?" She asked herself as she got her camera ready.
"Because you like challenges. Like you told me back in December. You wanted to ask me out on a date when you first met me in Charlotte."
"Yeah well I never did, and waited until Christmas to officially ask you. Then, waited until New Years Eve to ask you officially to be my girlfriend. Or in this case me be your girlfriend." She smiled as Lynn gave her a kiss on her cheek.
They didn't see Alex and Ethan taking pictures of the two of them. They both smiled and went back to talking and enjoying the view.
They were almost to the top and Andy took in a deep breath and got her camera ready. Lynn was right she did want to get a picture of the view from the top. Lynn watched as Andy started to click away at her camera. She smiled and put her hand on the back of Andy's head and slowly started to run her fingers through her short hair.
She remembered back in Europe her and Brian were up late one night talking about Andy. He was right about Andy not really being her type. She started to really think about it and couldn't help but think that he was right. But did she really have a type?
Andy was different than any other woman she was attracted to. She liked them with longer hair and a bit of make up. But Andy was different from everything. She had the more masculine aspect. Maybe that's why she was attracted to her. Because she was different than all the others.
She always heard about same sex couples one would be the 'man' and one would be the 'woman.' She never wanted anything like that she always thought in relationships everything was equal. Even though they've only been together since December, she couldn't help but feel that their relationship has been equal.
The last tour they would venture out with others and then meet back up with each other before the meet and greets. At the end of the night they would talk for hours about their day and what they did. They haven't talked about the future, yet. The closest they came was for this tour. Other than that, nothing really. That made her happy yet scared at the same time.
She could see a future with Andy. She hoped that this magazine article wouldn't hinder that. She was brought out of her thoughts when she felt Andy's lips touch her cheek. She smiled and looked at her again.
"We're almost at the bottom." Andy said tucking away her camera and taking her sunglasses from Lynn's hand.
She put her sunglasses back on and took hold of Lynn's hand, "Thank you." She said kissing the back of it.
Lynn looked confused, "For what?"
"Making me look at this view and being right about wanting to take some pictures. My fear of heights is still there. But for today it was conquered for about ten minutes."
Lynn smiled and squeezed her hand as the attendee unhooked the bar while they unstrapped. Andy helped Lynn get out first then she wasn't too far behind. They walked down the steps and started to head towards the main stage to meet up with everyone. Andy was taking some more pictures while Lynn had her hand in Andy's back pocket.
When she first started doing this Andy would giggle only because she kept joking about how Lynn was touching her butt. But then she became used to having Lynn's hand there. Again she was brought out of her thoughts when Andy was telling her how she wanted a picture of everyone.
She was so lost in thought that she didn't notice everyone was around them. Everyone gathered around and Andy took a few pictures. Ethan then came up to her and took the camera and told her to get with the group. That was when Lauren decided to step in and have them in the picture.
She took a couple and then she wanted to take a couple of just Lynn and Andy. After a few pictures of them. The last one being the two of them kissing each other softly. Lauren took a few more and made a mental note to get some prints of these pictures. She gave Andy back her camera and they all started to follow Alex because yet again he was starving.
They all laughed and walked away from the main stage area. They have a few hours before they had to get ready. So they were going to enjoy this as much as they could.
Andy was taking some test shots with her camera. She changed into her PVRIS muscle tank top, and kept on her shorts and shoes. She had her sunglasses on her head so she could see clearly through her lens. She turned to the crowd and smiled when they cheered as she took a few pictures of them.
She adjusted her camera and out of the corner of her eye she saw Ethan rushing up to her. She smiled but it slowly started to fade when she saw his expression, "You're NOT going to believe what your girlfriend is wearing for this."
Andy just shrugged, "Whatever it is I'm sure it's going to be amazing like always." Just then the lights dimmed a little and she watched as the guys came on the stage. Then, she saw Lynn and she tried with all her might not to have her jaw drop. Lynn made eye contact with Andy briefly and gave her a small wink and smirk.
Lynn was in pretty much black leather, the pants, the vest that was unzipped, and the only thing she was wearing under was a black bra with a lace design on the top rims. Andy shook her head to come out of her trance. When they started to play she had to focus on getting pictures. She started to snap away at every angle she could get.
Then, she turned her head to Ethan and mouthed, "OH! MY! GOD!" He just smiled and gave her a thumbs up. She walked around the stage and climbed on one of the barrier boxes to take a shot of the crowd. She heard her name being called a couple of times and she smiled. She climbed down and started to make her way to the side of the stage.
When she was in the wings she had some amazing views of Alex and Lynn on the side she was on. She took a few pictures. Even got on stage for a few moments to get some great shots. Then she hurried to the other side of the stage to get some pictures of Brian and Justin. She ended up going onto the stage further than she thought. When she realized this she quickly got off stage and then started to make her way to the sound board.
When she got there she smiled at the sound guys and started to focus her camera and then started to take some far pictures of them. She thanked the sound guys and started to make her way through the crowd. To get some shots from there. She wanted to get as much as she was to get. Even though they had the second weekend of Coachella, she wanted to capture as many moments as she could.
She was able to make her way back to the barrier and started to take some more pictures of PVRIS and the crowd. She even took out her phone to record some video. Just as she was about to put her phone away she noticed a notification on her social profile. But she didn't have time to check it at the time.
She put her phone back in her back pocket and quickly changed out her memory card in her camera. When it was ready to go she went right back to work. The kick off to this tour was smoother than the last one. The last one her and Ethan were still working out some kinks they had to work on. After the fifth tour date they got things down to a science. Everything went perfectly.
Andy got comfortable talking to the crowds that had the Meet and Greet packages. Ethan got his rhythm down with switching out the guitars and basses for the three of them. Also checking the drums for Lynn and Justin. After this tour they had another break then off to kick off the rest of the music festival season.
Then, they would be heading overseas and one place Andy has been before but not the others. She made sure she had her passport and as well as Ethan. If someone asked them four years ago if they would be here they would have laughed in their faces.
This has been a dream come true that Andy felt like something was going to happen to ruin it all. But she wasn't sure what that was. She always felt as if something was too could to be true there would be a price to pay some how. As for right now she was taking it step by step and day by day. Living in the moment and enjoying the time time she's been having with everyone.
The show was almost over, and she went to very center of where the stage and the barrier was. She got down on her good knee and started to snap away. That's when Ethan came up to her and stood by her.
They started this towards the end of the last tour, when he saw her struggling to get up Now, she didn't even have to look for his hand anymore. She took his hand and he helped her up. He patted her on the back and rushed away. PVRIS finished up and took their bows, and Andy took more shots of them and then turned to the crowd. When they rushed off stage Andy secured her camera and rushed to the side of the stage to start help with breaking down the equipment.
Ethan, Andy, Cam, and Terry couldn't help but smile while they were taking down the equipment. They finished faster than they thought and started to pack everything up. Behind the stage Ethan had opened up the trailer and the three others started to load up everything. When everything was loaded Mark came up to Andy and whispered something in her ear. She nodded and followed him to the back of the stage.
Lynn, Brian, Alex, and Justin were all talking about how incredible the performance was and also what great crowd they had. When Mark came up to them. He spoke to them for a moment.
They nodded and Andy started to help them get in position of how she wanted them to stand. Lynn was just a couple a steps ahead of Alex and he was just a step ahead of the railing. Justin and Brian were against the railing and Andy took at least four or five pictures of them in that pose.
She smiled and said that she got it. Mark smiled and told her to send them to him so he could pick out the one that was best for the social media. Andy nodded and said she would do it tonight. She walked up to Lynn and gave her a quick kiss telling her that she had to help the guys. Andy rushed off and Lynn smiled as she watched her run towards the band's trailer.
"Okay so what now?" Justin asked rubbing his hands together.
"Let's change and go check out the rest of Coachella!" Alex exclaimed and they all nodded in agreement.
"We have to find the others. Angel said she's going to be waiting by the Sahara tent." Brian said checking his phone.
"Okay we'll just meet everyone there." Lynn said and they started to walk towards their trailer. Lynn wanted to know if anyone got Andy's reaction to what she was wearing. At first she wasn't sure what she was going to wear. But after doing the magazine she felt more comfortable with herself that she decided last minute this is what she was going to wear.
Now she had to tell Andy how she posed for Playboy. But she just didn't know how.

"Holy shit that was crazy!" Andy said sitting down on the couch and putting her camera gently on the coffee table. Lynn sat next to her and sighed.
After the four of them got changed into more comfortable clothes they decided to check out the main stage acts. Andy got really excited when she saw one of her other favorite bands. Lynn couldn't help but laugh at how excited she had gotten.
They stayed for the headline act since Lynn loved the headliner. Andy could tell her voice was going to be hoarse for the next couple of days. She was also going to have a small squeak here and there. But it was all worth it.
Lynn stood up and mentioned a shower and everyone agreed that they all needed one too. Andy nodded and they gave each other a quick kiss. Then, Lynn went into the bedroom her and Andy would be sharing.
Ethan sat down across from Andy looking through his phone. Everyone else kind of retreated to their rooms. The house had like four showers, that's what Justin said. But Ethan and Andy would wait until every one else was done.
"Uh, Andy has Lynn talked to you about Playboy in the last couple days?" He asked and Andy's head shot up from her camera.
"Um, we talked about it, not too long ago. I had to end the conversation because I was getting a little uncomfortable. Why?"
"You might wanna check your phone."
"Uh okay," she said still looking confused. "Oh wow! Who are these people?" She asked herself as she started to go through her notifications. After a few minutes of looking through she slowly stood up and looked at Ethan.
"Are you serious?!"
He stood up and grabbed her arm just as Angel was coming out of her and Brian's bedroom still drying her hair with a towel. She watched as Ethan practically dragged Andy through the back door. He closed the sliding door and then continued to lead her further into the backyard.
Angel walked over to the door and opened up the curtains to watch them. She could tell by Andy' body language she was upset about something and Ethan was trying to calm her down.
"Andrea, calm down. I know you're upset."
"Upset?! I'm fucking upset?! The fact that my girlfriend posed for them and now the whole fucking world knows what she looks like half naked! The fuck?!"
"I think you're more upset about the fact that she didn't tell you and you found out through social media."
Andy shook her head and put her hands onto of her head, "I told her I wasn't comfortable with this stuff. But I did say I respect women that are comfortable with themselves to do stuff like that. I just never thought she would do this. My question is what this her idea or was it the label's?
Cause if it was hers alright cool I get it. But if it's the label's then I don't know dude. I just wished she would have told me. I would have been supportive of this. We even talked about opening up to each other."
She started to pace back and forth with her hands on her hips. She rubbed the back of her neck and looked up at the stars trying to figure out just what part of her is upset.
Meanwhile back at the house, Alex, Brian, and Justin had joined Angel watching the two best friends go back and forth.
"Do you think she found out?" Alex asked.
"Oh I'm sure she found out. Look at how she's acting."
"How who's acting?" Lynn asked coming up behind them drying her hair with a towel. She looked through the glass. She saw Andy and Ethan and from what she could see Andy wasn't too happy.
"Shit."
"Andrea, just talk to her about it. Maybe she was scared to bring it up because you would act like this."
"No, no, no, I'm acting like this because I found out through social media. If she told me I wouldn't be this worked up. Also the fact that everyone knows what she looks like topless bothers me so much! How does everyone else handle this?!" She rubbed her face with her hands and let out a sigh.
"I think you're over reacting. I'm sure this was something she wanted to do. I mean just ask her. You saw the pictures. Look how happy she looks, and did you read her comment about doing the shoot?"
Andy shook her head, "No, because you pulled me out here!"
Ethan took out his phone from his pocket and started to go through his phone until he found what he was looking for. He started to read the caption that Lynn had posted about doing the pictures.
Lynn started to go for the door but Angel stopped, "Wait, let her cool down for a moment. Look, she seems fine now. Shit, and Ethan's coming! Move! Act like nothing's going on." They all scrambled to find a seat and when they did they did their best to act causal.
Ethan walked in and saw everyone sitting around. He knew they were up to something but he shook his head.
He walked over to Lynn and kneeled in front of her, "She wants to talk to you, alone. I calmed her down a little bit. But now it's your turn. I told her that she was over reacting and I read to her what you said about the spread. Which by the way you look amazing in, so congratulations on doing this." He told her with a smile and she returned it.
"But she's in a little bit of a shock, mostly because you didn't tell her about it. But I did bring up the tattoo and how she didn't tell you. Like I said she's in a bit of shock. So when you're ready she waiting for you." He smiled and gave her a hug which she returned. He stood up and said that he was going to take a shower and he'll be out shortly.
Lynn stood up as well as Angel. She came over and took her hand in hers, "You gonna be okay?"
She nodded, "Yeah, I should have told her, but now that she knows, I just don't want her to end it all." Alex stood up and put his arm around her.
"Now, that would be a stupid reason to break up. I'm sure once you explain everything, she'll understand." Lynn smiled at him and nodded. He kissed her temple went to sit back down.
"Like Ethan told her, she's over reacting. Plus you were amazing in that spread! Maybe Alex and I will do a shoot like that." Brian said giving her hand a squeeze then Angel hit him on the chest.
"What?! It was just an idea."
Angel shook her head as he went back to the chair he was sitting in.
"She would be a fool to end it all with you over something like this." Justin said kissing her forehead. Lynn nodded and closed her eyes taking in a deep breath and then letting it out. Still having Angel's hand in hers he walked to the back sliding door and opened it.
Angel gave her a gentle squeeze and Lynn looked at her giving her a nod. They let go and Lynn started to walk towards Andy. Angel closed the door and watched Lynn get closer to Andy. She started to bite her nails and that's when Brian came up to her and took her hand in his. They were joined by Alex and Justin. Then Ethan came out of his room and walked up to them. All were hoping this would have a happy outcome.
"Lord give me strength. Help me understand, and help me be a good listener, and better partner." Lynn heard Andy say as she got closer to her girlfriend. Andy let out sigh and kissed her cross. She heard faint foot steps in the grass and she turned around to see Lynn.
She didn't know whether to hug her, smile at her, or kiss her. She put her hands in her pockets. Looked down at her bare feet and started to use her foot to play with the blades of grass.
They both stood in silence for what seemed like an eternity, and finally Lynn spoke up, "I'm sorry."
Andy shook her head and finally looked up at her, "No, don't be. I mean this is part of your life and I just have to get used to it. Ethan made a point while he was out here. He said that there's going to be times where y'all are gonna do things and we'll see it before you could tell us.
It's your life and I have no control over it. You do what you want and I can't stop you. I think I was just in shock. Cause well now, the whole world knows what my girlfriend looks like topless." She gave a weak chuckle and Lynn gave her a small smile.
"I wanted to tell you the day I was offered this, but you were on your way to airport. I didn't want you to have to think about this, or even worry. I was around all women and they let me have complete control. From the make up to the outfits to what I wanted to do. Angel was there too to help out. This was all me and I decided to get out of my comfort zone for a little while.
It felt amazing, and free, and finally able to be myself. I was nervous at first, I mean I tour with mostly guys and it's always hard to change in front of them. They always say they don't care, but I get into my head about stuff like that.
I want you to know that I wasn't forced into this or anything. Heather offered and I said yes. Plus this magazine has been evolving over the years and it's more about just being naked. It's about being comfortable in your own skin and being free." She took a step closer to Andy who had her arms crossed at this point.
"I just want you to understand why I did it and where I'm coming from. I don't feel comfortable that people may use my pictures for different reasons."
Andy held up her hand and closed her eyes, "Can't we not."
Lynn nodded, "Right, I'm sorry. But like I said I did this because I wanted to not because I had to or that the label wanted me too. The label didn't even find out until a week later. They weren't too happy about it either. Although they looked at it as more exposure for us. I even talked it over with Alex and Brian.
They both were all for it. Then, I talked to Angel and she told me to follow my heart and my gut. Everything about this felt right, and if I'm being honest I had this little voice in my head that kept saying, 'Fuck what Andy thinks. This is your life.'"
Andy chuckled making Lynn smile a little more and Andy spoke up, "You're right it's your life. You can do whatever you want. I can't stop you, I'm not here to control you. I'm here to be with you on any journey you want to take me on. I'm here to support you in whatever decisions you make. I'm not gonna judge you just because you did this. I've never judged you and I never will."
She took a step closer to Lynn and held out her hands for her to take. For a moment Lynn hesitated, then put her hands in hers.
"What I do know is that I seem to be better with you. Ever since I met you I became inspired again, and you seemed to have brought some joy in my life. I can't explain it. When Ethan told me about this I wanted to yell at you for it. Mostly because we had a conversation about this not too long ago.
I felt that you didn't respect what I said, but then he read to me what you said about it. My mind completely changed. Plus, ending this relationship over something like this is a stupid reason, if I'm being honest. What I do know is that, I am proud of you for doing this. I am honored to be by your side. I also have a question for you."
Lynn smiled through her happy tears, "What is it?"
"Okay well two questions." Andy said taking a step closer to her.
"Ask away."
"Well one, next time you wanna do something like that can I join?"
"You wanna do a spread like that?"
Andy shrugged, "I've always thought about modeling but didn't think I had the good looks for it. Plus it looked like you were having a lot of fun."
"Alright, I'll see what I can do. What's your second question?"
"So what exactly is a 'genderless elf'?" Andy asked and Lynn just shook her head and laughed pulling Andy in for a kiss.

"Is that everything?" Andy asked as Terry and Cam came out of the equipment trailer.
"We're gonna double check." Cam said and they rushed back to the stage. The second weekend was coming to a close for them and they had to hit the road. Andy just finished doing some promo shots with the trio so they could post it on their social media accounts. This morning Angel stayed behind to make sure everything was packed and ready to go. After she was done she had to catch a plane to Boston. But she would see them in New York and then Maine. The last two stops on this tour.
Everyone said their byes to her this morning and then it was off to do Coachella one more time. Angel and Brian embraced for a long time and then they finally let go. They would go up the west coast then trek across Canada, then back in the U.S.
After that they would kick off music festival season and then head over seas. Andy and Ethan were planning on going back to Virginia for a little bit, then head to Georgia. They had some work to do around the house. Turned out Brandon was looking to get out of Virginia and they offered for him to stay at their house in Georgia.
Andy called her Uncle about giving him a job and he didn't even question it. He gave Brandon an offer. Now Brandon would meet up with them in Virginia and they would all go down to Georgia together.
Lynn, Alex, Brian, and Justin would go through all the gifts their fans would give to them through out the meet and greets. Also the gifts that the fans would give them during their shows. Which is a lot. Andy remembered from their U.K. tour some one gave them a teddy bear named Theodore.
So when they went their separate ways Andy found a table that was selling all sorts of things and she found a teddy bear. She smiled and bought it because she wanted to make sure Theodore had a friend for this tour at least.
Right before the show was about to start Andy rushed to the tour bus and found Theodore. She smiled and had it set up to where Theodore and the other bear were sitting across from each other as if they were talking to each other. She couldn't wait to see the look on Lynn's face when she sees them propped up. She rushed out of the tour bus and then ran towards the stage just in time.
Now here she was making sure everything packed up and ready to go. The band was backstage again, talking about how amazing the show was. She heard her name being called and turned around and saw Mark waving for her to go over to him. She told the guys that she would be right back and they nodded.
"Gotta get some more promo shots of the trio. One in what they wore on stage and another of their 'off stage' clothes outside of their trailer. One of them is going to be used for the 'ask anything' segment on one of the social medias." Mark explained and Andy started to follow him. She was checking her camera as they walked and she bumped into some one.
"I'm so sorry." She said looking up but then regretting it.
"Andrea?" The blonde woman said.
"Andy come on PVRIS is waiting." Mark called to her. Before the woman could say anything Andy rushed to Mark. When she reached him, he looked back at the woman was still looking after her.
"Who was that?"
"Um, well did I ever tell you about the time I lived in Michigan?"
Mark shook his head, "Can't say that I have."
"Long story short. Moved to Michigan with an ex, in hopes of getting back together. Worked three jobs. She got preggers. I went back to Virginia. Hit my head. Forgot about Michigan. Then, memories started coming back slowly. That was the ex."
"You and I need to have a sit down and I need to hear the FULL story." He said with a smile as they came up to the trio.
Lynn smiled and walked up to Andy, but her smile faded when she saw the look she had, "What's wrong babe?"
"Oh nothing she just saw her ex is all." Mark said looking at his phone dialing a number, then he walked off to talk on his phone.
"Which one?" Alex asked.
"The one I went to Michigan with." She said taking a few test shots with her camera. She looked at Lynn and gave her a weak smile.
"I swear this world gets smaller and smaller. I mean of all the places to see an ex it's at Coachella." She scoffed and shook her head.
"Alright let's get this picture shall we?" She started to direct them to where to stand and when she was satisfied she smiled, "Okay, let's get a close up and then a far one." She took a couple of pictures up close and then a couple a few feet back.
"Perfect. Now Mark said something about you three by the trailer in your 'off stage' clothes." Andy said and they nodded. Lynn took Andy's hand in hers and they walked the short distance to the trailer.
"So another ex huh?" She said with a small smirk.
Andy smiled and shook her head, "Yeah, I'm still in a little shock about it. I mean the last conversation I had with her was about how I was her domestic partner, where she said I got my ring, and where I met Vicki. She lied about it all."
"How did you know she was?"
"Well for one we weren't together, only for that brief amount of time. Two, she said I got the ring in Michigan."
"But you didn't?" Lynn asked as they reached the trailer.
Andy shook her head, "I got it a store in the mall in Virginia when I was nineteen."
"And Vicki?"
And chuckled, "We met face to face at our old high school right when classes were getting out. I was in Florida with a friend and we got each other's number through a mutual friend. So when I got back we planned on meeting up at the track after classes were out. We did and we sat on the bleachers and talked for hours. But if I had known then what she would have put me through, I would never have agreed to meet up."
They reached the trailer and Lynn leaned in and gave Andy a lingering small kiss. When they pulled away Andy was taken aback, "That was different." She said with a smile.
Lynn still smiling just shook her head, "I think I just love it when you tell me things about your past. Makes me feel closer to you."
She gave her one more kiss and kept smiling, "I'll be right back."
Andy watched as she climbed the steps and then she shook her head. Mark came up to her and smiled. Just when he was about to say something a voice called Andy's name. Mark saw Andy's reaction and decided to turn around to see who it was. It was the same blond woman from earlier. Not wanting to create any tension with Andy, the woman, and Lynn he walked up to her.
"Hi, I'm Mark, a friend of Andy's." He said holding out his hand for her to shake. She took it tentatively and smiled.
"I'm Ashley, I used to know Andrea."
Mark nodded he heard a door open and saw the trio come out from their trailer. He watched as Andy started to direct them where she wanted them to be. Once they were all sitting down on the steps they posed and Andy started to take a few pictures. He turned back to Ashley and smiled.
"She's a little busy at the moment. But I can relay a message."
Ashley watched as Andy smiled at the two guys and girl. She watched as Lynn and Andy gave each other kiss. Lynn walked back into the trailer and Andy started to look through her camera.
"Is that her girlfriend?" Ashley asked.
Mark nodded, "Yeah, they've been together for about five or six months now. But kind of been courting since October." He explained and Ashley just nodded.
"So is there anything you want me to tell her?" Mark asked.
"Oh, um just that I hope she's doing well and maybe our paths will cross again. I'm one of the hairstylist for some of the bands here. If Andy's a photographer we might be working together soon." She said with a smile and Mark returned it with a tight lip.
"I'll pass it along. Have fun Ashley it was nice to meet you." He shook her hand again and then walked back over to Andy.
She looked up and smiled at him when he came up to her, "Think I got some really good ones. Just let me know which ones you want."
"I'm gonna make sure you don't work with your ex. She's a hairstylist with some of the bands here. I don't want any tension with anyone. Plus the drama that's gonna come with it."
"Good idea. I really don't want to work with her. From what I remember living with her wasn't always that great either."
"Hmm." Mark nodded as the trio came out of the trailer with their bags. Andy made quick work to take Lynn's and she smiled.
"I will never get used to you doing things for me." Lynn smiled kissing Andy's cheek.
"Well I've only been doing it the last six months." They all chuckled and started to walk towards their tour bus. As much as they wanted to stay and enjoy the rest of Coachella they had to hit the road. They had a long drive ahead of them and more adventures to have.
