Chapter 22: Ladies and Gentlemen, I would Like to present to you Mr. And Mrs. (Fill in the blank) Hardy!
We made it through to late April, going back every few days to get ready for the “Cameron Wedding of the Century”. Glenn was standing up for Jeff with Jeremy and I was a bride’s maid for both girls, with separate dresses and everything. I hated the fittings but thankfully the dresses only took two each, for me at least. I did think it was funny when they had to “specially tailor” Glenn’s tuxedo. He was too long legged and armed for anything they had at the place in Raleigh. Mark barely fit his! He was back every week for a month to make sure they got it right, and Jess was adamant that they did. “My son’s Godfather will look good if it kills me. Or If I have to kick his ass!”
On April 26th, we headed to St. Louis for a few days. It was Glenn’s birthday and he wanted to visit his Mom and Dad for a bit. I wanted to see them too, I hadn’t been there since shortly after Glenn and I made up. His mom, Catherine was as close as I was going to get to a real mom, and she knew it. I swear that woman thought I was the daughter she never had. I love her to death.
We stayed in St. Louis until May 3rd or so. I wanted to stay there for my Twenty-second birthday, two days after Glenn’s, which is why we left so late. Glenn got me completely smashed for three days straight and had his way with me most of the time. Only stopped to make sure I didn’t get alcohol poisoning or anything. He got me completely sobered up before we headed back. We had a few more shows before we got a two weeks off to go to Jeff and Matt’s weddings.
We were in Nashville, about a week before Glenn, Shannon, Shane and I left to go to North Carolina, when Noreen Greenwald got into a fight with Shane for accidently pouring coffee all over her only set of clean civilian clothes. And it wasn’t pretty
“Damn it Shane. That’s all I had!” Noreen was feverishly trying to dry up the brown stained mess, but it really wasn’t going to help. That white Shirt was pretty much ruined, unless it was washed soon. I looked at it, and told her I could try to save it but I needed a dryer. She glowered at Shane. “That was my favorite shirt you little…”
I pulled her away, saying something about I had seen a Laundromat on the way into the arena. I stole some cash from Glenn(he was gettng ready for a match) and took the rental truck keys. I grabbed Noreen by the arm, dragging her away.
She was about to rip him a new one so Green-boy had better be grateful.
We got to the Laundromat I had seen, finding the nearest washer and throwing the shirt in. Noreen and I had about fifteen minutes to kill before it would stop so we made idle chit chat. The good part came as I was checking to make sure the stains were gone.
“I’m sorry about, you know, back in January.”
“January?”
“Calling you a slut. Kinda unfounded wasn’t it.”
I nodded, laying the white material out and being satisfied with it being stain free. I threw it into a nearby dryer and turned it on. “Never Listen to Stephanie McMahon or believe Chris Irvine. I think a lot of people have learned that. Glenn and Mark especially.”
“Those pictures she was showing everyone looked so real. I can’t believe someone didn’t notice before that.” I nodded, not wanting to really remember the fact it did look real except for a thousand major flaws. She stood in front of me and smiled, hand extended. “Apology accepted?”
I took her hand and spoke, a sly smile coming to my face. “Only if you tell me truthfully about something.” She nodded, confused. I sat down on the floor near the dryer and looked up to her. “You have a thing for him don’t you?”
She looked at me curious. “Who?”
“Mr. Helms.”
She shook her head like she maybe didn’t hear me right or couldn’t believe I had said it. “How do you…?”
“You act like I do around Glenn. You practically drool all over him. I remember seeing footage of when you two were in that gimmick together. It was obvious. Why don’t you ask him to go out to dinner with you, or coffee?” I smiled and pointed behind me to the what-should-be-nearly-dry Shirt.
“Oh, I couldn’t date him.”
I put my hands on my hips and glared at her jokingly. “And why the hell not?”
“Well, didn’t you date him?”
I shook my head and stood as the dryer stopped. “I never dated him.”
“You did…you know…with him didn’t you?” She had turned red as Glenn’s ring costume and I had to laugh.
“I did sleep with him Nore. I never said I dated him. He was a good friend to my brothers and I asked him to. That’s all. We are close friends, nothing else.”
“Doesn’t Glenn get jealous over it? I mean you spend a lot of time with Shane.”
I shook my head, snapping the now clean white shirt out. “Glenn knows whose bed I head to at night. Other than a one-time thing there is nothing serious between Shane and I. Don’t let that stop you from at least talking to him. You never know where it might lead. Hell, look where a dance got me. An extremely handsome, ‘big’ boyfriend who is going around looking goo-goo at my niece and nephews as well as Mark’s son, and saying he wants one.”
Noreen smiled the biggest smile in the world at me at this and was jumping up and down. “Are you two going to…”
I shook my head, throwing her the now-clean shirt. “No, I told him he had better marry me before I pitch my pills. And I told him in no uncertain terms that they had better not come up missing or he’d be wrapping it up in a ziplock bag or going without.”
She laughed at this as we walked out. “Poor Glenn. So, I should talk to Shane?”
I nodded. “It could be the start of something, and you just might like it.”
We headed to the arena and Noreen headed over to Shane, asking him if they could talk. He followed her, looking at me as he walked away. I waved at them and headed to the backstage area.
I got there and almost everyone was around the entrance, watching. I asked where Glenn was and Mark Lomonica pointed to the ring. “Get down there, he’s hurt bad. Real paramedics.” I looked out and, seeing him laying down in the ring, broke out of the crowd and down to him. Jerry Lawler and JR were both in the ring with him, paramedics putting a neck-brace. Jerry stopped me as I slid into the ring and tried to get to him.
“Let me go, Jerry! Glenn!”
“Stop it Faith, Cameras are rolling. He’ll be fine. He got smacked in the head with a chair shot and his neck snapped back pretty bad. This is just a precaution. He’s talking and awake. We’re just gonna have them take him to the hospital and get him looked at. Calm down.” He held my shoulders to keep me from trying to rush past him again. “I’ll tell him you’ll meet him at the ambulance. You go ahead and get all your stuff and get ready to go. I’ll make sure they take you alright?”
I nodded and slid out the ring, running through several people to get our stuff. I grabbed up our workout bags and threw them over my back and grabbing anything that rolled, heading to the back entrance where the ambulance was. They were loading him in; I could hear Glenn talking to Jerry, asking where I was. I called out to Glen and threw our stuff in the back. A paramedic pushed me out as soon as I tired to jump in and asked me who the hell I thought I was.
“Just because you’re some wrestler doesn’t mean…”
“She’s my fiancée. She goes or I stay.” I looked at Glenn who had closed his eyes. With his mask off I could see where he had smacked his head, and possibly broke his nose. It was swollen and bleeding bad. I jumped in, they had got him in, and told Jerry I’d take care of him.
“That’s your last show until your brothers’ weddings. You two get some rest and Glenn, you get better, Ok? You got that angle coming up and we’ll all want to see that pretty face.” I nodded and Glenn grunted his reply. At that point we headed out to the closest hospital.
I was in the ER waiting room for about two hours before someone came out. A tall broad shouldered man with short red hair came and sat next to me, eyeing me appreciatively. He was obviously one of the doctors, but I still didn’t care for him leering at me.
“May I help you Doctor….”
He smiled; there was something very familiar about it. “Jacobs. Dr. Curtis Jacobs. And you are Faith, I take it.”
I nodded, thinking he must be a fan or something until I realized how stupid I was. “You wouldn’t happen to be related to Glenn Jacobs would you?”
“Yes, I would. He’s my cousin and right now my patient. He’s in the back about ready to go. He told me exactly how to pick you from a crowd. ‘She’s wearing my shirt, a silver locket and blue jeans. Just look for a tall woman with blue, purple and dark red hair’. And here you sit, waiting. Such dedication. Are you ready to see him?” I nodded, getting up and following him.
He led me into the main part of the ER and behind a curtain. Glenn was sitting up on the side of the bed, out of his ring clothes and in regular ones, rubbing his neck and complaining he was sore. Curtis looked at me, then back at Glenn and smiled. “That’s what you get for getting smacked so hard in the head, moron. You should have stuck to teaching Glenn. Make high school kids fear you, safer occupation.”
Glenn flipped him the bird, and looked in a nearby mirror at his face, which was not really cut up but swollen. “Jess is gonna kill me.”
I laughed at him and rubbed his shoulder as he inspected the damage. “She won’t kill you. Maim you, possibly.”
He looked at me with laughter in his eyes. “Ha, ha, baby. You met my cousin, Curtis I take it.” I nodded as Curtis smiled and walked toward his cousin.
“She’s a little spitfire there, Glenn. Watch out for her. She’s much nicer than that other one.” He smiled at me and wrote something on a prescription pad, ripping it off and handing it to Glenn. “Two every four hours if needed for pain. Ice will knock the swelling down. Rest for the next few days, no strenuous activities, that type of thing. I have other patients to see to. Call sometime, we never hear from you. Miss Faith, it was very nice meeting you.” He left.
Glenn sat down for a minute, rubbing his head near his temples. “I got a headache from hell.” I handed him my bottle of water from earlier and he drained it. “Thanks.”
“What the hell happened out there?”
“Scott Steiner sent me face first into a chair. They though I would get straight up and when I didn’t, Jim freaked.” He pressed lightly on his nose and I asked if it was broken. “No, the mask stopped that. There's gonna be a hell of a bruise though.” He looked to me and smiled, putting his hand out for me. “And I heard you slid down there and tried to get to me. That was sweet.”
“I had to save my ‘fiancé’.” He grimaced and touched my back, leading me out. I grabbed our stuff and he spoke, looking at me. “Well, one day you will be, right? If I just told him you were my girlfriend you would’ve had to drive here. Fiancée is as good as wife to a paramedic, you’re considered Next of kin.” He looked around at me and thought for a minute. “Maybe you should have drove. Where’d ya leave the truck?”
I looked around and pointed. “You be thankful for John Layfield. He came by with Brock and got the keys and brought it here.” I held up the keys and unlocked to door to the truck, threw our stuff in the back and made sure Glenn got in alright before I drove to the hotel.
We got to our room and found Shane and Noreen waiting for us.
“Why are you two here? It’s nearly one in the morning.” I threw my stuff down and sat Glenn down on the bed. He looked damned tired and his face was purpling to a nice deep hue.
I started taking Glenn’s shoes off while Shane spoke, looking like he was getting ready to leave. “Just wanted to make sure he was Ok. Damn. Nasty looking ain’t it. Jess will just love that look for her wedding pictures.”
“Shane, Hun, leave him alone. Faith, will you two be alright?”
I nodded but looked at Noreen, brightly. “Shane…Hun?” She nodded. “You can tell me later. I’ll see you guys.”
They cut out as Glenn fell back on the bed, rubbing his temples. “I feel like I got hit by a Mack truck.” He covered his eyes with the shirt I had just taken off of him and moaned. “I fucking hurt.” I pulled his jeans off of him at that point and moved to get his boxers off. “Not in the mood honey, my head hurts.” He grinned down at me and I about slapped him. “Hey while you’re down there…”
“Quit it you. Take your own damned clothes off then.” I finished pulling off his boxers then his shirt and got into his bag for his Aleve. I handed him a glass of water and four of the blue tablets, ordering him to swallow. He took it gratefully, sitting up then flopping back down, naked.
After a minute I could tell he was falling asleep. I shook him to make him lay down right on the bed so I could have some room and tucked the poor guy in. He was snoring when I went to get some ice for his face. It did look all swollen and pretty bad. I came back and put some in a towel. I sat on the side of the bed and turned him over on his back, lightly putting it on his face. He flinched and sighed, the cold obviously feeling a lot better. I held it there for about 10 minutes, the swelling was a lot less noticeable now, and took the ice pack away, getting ready for bed myself.
“I’m playing nursemaid to a sleeping giant. Oh, what a life.”
I smiled and crawled in beside him. He rolled over and pulled me to him, someplace between sleep and life. He muttered in his sleep, moving once in a while. I was falling to sleep when I heard him say my name, his body reacting.
“Good lord. Men. Beat them in the damned head and still they dream of sex.”
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
We headed to Cameron late the next day. Glenn’s face was back to normal mostly now, from almost constant icing. And we were correct when we knew Jess would not be pleased. She took one look at him and almost smacked him herself. She would have if she could’ve reached.
“Jess, calm down girl! You’ll get Jeremy excited.” I sat her down in the living room at Jeff’s house and explained to her how we could still make it look like it was fine. “The swelling will be gone before next week, maybe even tomorrow. I am sure between Amy, you and I and my friends in town, we can find enough makeup to cover the bruise. It won’t bother ya too much will it Hun? You wore it with the Yankem thing.” He nodded and said he’d be ok with it just through the pictures, then he was washing it off. “Jess don’t worry. We’ll take care of it.”
I took the not-even-three-month-old baby from her and sat him down with his Godfather. “Ok. Tonight, Stag and Bachelorette parties. Who’s taking care of my niece and nephews?”
“Dad and Jillian.” Jeff spoke. “Where are you guys going and who’s going with you?”
Jess spoke up, rattling names off. “Sara, Faith, Amy, some of Amy’s friends and her mom and some of my friends from home are flying in. Faith got a hotel room in Raleigh and hired, uh, entertainment. She’s also gonna get the booze and food is being delivered. We’re set. Sorry boys, you will be sleeping alone for the night. Where are you going?”
Matt pointed to Glenn, who held up his keys. My male spoke, smirking at Jess. “I told em I’d drive em to get plastered and play Designated. Something about a strip club. I can’t drink at this point so I’ll make sure they get to the hotel room they’re gonna crash at.”
I looked over at Glenn and smiled. I knew what hotel we had arranged to have both parties drop off at. The Radisson Governors Inn had two top level suites reserved. One to Hardy and one to Jacobs. This was our wedding present to both of the couples, a place to crash while they recover from various hangovers and embarrassing moments, away from loved ones. It would be Jeff, Matt, Mark, Glenn, Shane, Shannon and a few guys from Jeff’s band.
Matt shook his head at Glenn. “Don’t tell em about the strip club!”
Glenn smiled and shrugged. “Your sister knew. She would’ve told them tonight. She talks a lot when she’s drunk.”
Jeff looked to Glenn and sighed. “You are such a bad influence on her Glenn, getting her drunk.”
I smiled. “Three days of being bombed off my ass, doing nothing but getting laid. Hell yeah, that was a birthday!”
Jess and Amy shook their heads. “Faith! Bad girl!” Jess spoke up, her eyes on me. “If your gonna get drunk and do that ya might as well slob the knob darlin’!
Glenn did have the good grace to blush and cough. He still smiled and excused himself to got get gas in his rental and get ready for the night, giving Jeremy to me.
Jeff threw his head between his knees and rocked back and forth. “Oh God. I didn’t want to know that!”
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Jess headed out a couple hours later to pick up some friends of hers from her hometown in Kansas, and then go to the hotel to get ready. I left after Amy did, going to get the “entertainers” from the airport. I picked them up, making a side trip to Wal-Wal-Mart for a pair of Speedos and headed to the hotel. I left their stuff in the room I had gotten them and told them to wait outside where the party had already started.
I whistled as I walked in, getting everyone’s attention. Amy and Jess were already apparently on their second rounds, Sara was there and sucking down what was once a fifth of Tequila, and Amy and Jess’s friends from home were already downing the hard stuff. Amy’s mom was apparently the only one who was drinking slowly, sipping a wine cooler and eating a sandwich. The lady knew better than to get plastered bad.
I pointed to the couches and told them to sit. “Ladies, I hope you like this. I had to beg a favor out of these gentlemen. Jess, Amy. You better love me afterward.”
They looked all excited and both squealed with hilarious delight as Chris Nowinski and Lance Evers walked in. I walked to the side and watched as both put on the most hilarious show. They both gyrated and pranced around to the music on the CD player, teasing both Amy and Jess. I could see they were having a great time.
I looked at the clock and ducked out to head down the hall to the room Glenn had gotten. I had to get it ready for the boys and took the opportunity while the other girls were occupied. I left some headache meds and lots of ice in the sink, knowing they would be in later to finish getting plastered. I had put the three bottles of Pepto and alkaseltzer I had got for them in his bag and went looking for it. They were supposed to be in the bag with the birth control pills I had just gotten. I looked in on the room Glenn was going to be sharing with Shane, and took a peek through his bag for the bottles, boxes and the pills, finding the pink stuff and boxes, but not the pack. I dismissed the fact they weren’t there but made a mental note to ask Glenn where he hid them. I rummaged around some more and found some chocolate in the bottom of his stuff and ate it, thinking it tasted funny. Probably been in there a while.
I left the bottles out in the middle of the room and headed back to the girls room, where Nowinski was dancing in front of Jess, Lance in front of Amy, to the tune of Prince’s ‘Gett Off’. Amy’s mom came up to me and pulled me to the side.
“How did you get these two to do this?”
“Glenn and I convinced them it would be funny as hell. Lance may act like he’s the most serious person in the world and Chris may think he’s high and mighty Mr. Harvard, but they agreed when Glenn said he’d job to them at a house show if they’d dance around half naked for a group of drunk women. Both need to be put over once and we agreed to do it, right before the unmasking.”
She nodded, already knowing it was coming. “Either way it’s some funny stuff.” She whipped out a ten dollar bill and waved it around, whooting at Nowinski, obviously as sloshed as the others were by now. I shook my head and grabbed a bottle of Buttershots and held it up. “Candy, she be dandy. Liquor is a hell of a lot quicker!”’
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
For the Next several hours, until well after 2 am, we watched the guys dance and bad porn as well as eating more than we should and getting bombed. Chris and Lance left around midnight, staying in a room downstairs, and leaving early in the morning.
When everyone else had fallen asleep, I crashed on the couch, the only place that was not covered in people. Jess’s friend’s Cara, Merilee and Jeana, as well as Amy’s friends Brenda and Melody had crashed in one bedroom, Amy, her Mom, Sara and Jess in the other. I couldn’t sleep. It felt like the room was too hot and I really didn’t want to sleep alone. Hell, I’ll put it bluntly, I was damn horny and in need of a bit of Mr. Jacobs manly wiles. I threw on a ‘Kane’ jersey over my top and headed down to the boy’s room to ‘visit’ Glenn.
I think I walked into Jonestown. Masses of bodies were everywhere. Mark was laying by the wall, drunk and laying in what I hoped was not a puddle of his own piss. Shane and Shannon had apparently collapsed Side by side. This was nothing but for the fact Shane had his cheek pressed tightly to Shannon’s backside. Shannon was muttering something about ‘Snausages and bratwurst’. Matt was sprawled over a couch, passed out and drooling. I almost stepped on Jeff, who complained about not wanting to get up, it wasn’t a school day. There were other bodies scattered around and the room stank badly.
“They’re gone. Plastered or partied out.” I looked up and saw Glenn, standing with a can of Coke in his hand, near the doorway. “Mean party, and I had to be the DD, that kinda sucked but hey…”
“If it weren’t for the pain meds, you would have been right along side them and made someone else drive.” I walked up to him, wrapping my arms around him, running them down his back. It got warmer and I was almost burning up but I didn’t want to let go.
“You’ve had a few yourself, haven’t you, and something else.” He held up the wrapper of the chocolate I had eaten earlier and looked at it. “Did you eat this?”
I nodded, pressing myself against him, rubbing the nice bulge in his jeans. “Don’t want me eating your candy now, hmm?”
He groaned and ran his own hands down my shoulders. He leaned down to lick my ear, whispering to me as he did. “That was an aphrodisiac. Taste odd?” I nodded into his neck, I didn’t care about talking, I just wanted him to fuck me. “About damn time you found it. I was thinking you never would.” He held me closer, grabbing my ass and lifting me up to him. “Hmm… you’re warm. What am I gonna do with you little Faith. I oughta take you back to the girls room and let you have a good night’s sleep.”
I groaned to him, wrapping my leg around his. “You wouldn’t.”
“Oh you know I would. You’re drunk and who knows what I might do to you.” He nipped at my neck, running his hands up my bare back underneath it to the sports top.
“I will make it worth your while, big man. Make up for making you stay sober.” I was blatant as I unzipped his jeans and rubbed him in all the spots I knew he liked, drawing him out. He moaned and lifted me up to straddle his hips, about to take me, which is exactly what I wanted, when Jeff sat straight up, looking around. Glenn moved to where Jeff couldn’t obviously see that I was wrapped around my lover and that his now very hard dick was hanging out. Jeff fell on his side a second later, passing out again.
“We need to take this to the bedroom. I don’t want everyone to see me screwing you.” He carried me into the bedroom, dropping me on the bed, ready to go a second later. We were literally ripping each others clothes off, when I kissed him, tasting the same tang from the chocolate on his lips.
I looked at him and smiled. “You too?”
He smirked. “Did you think I wouldn’t take one once I found out what you did. I knew you’d come down. Let’s see. For stealing my candy, how should I punish you?” He rolled me over and sat me on his stomach, hands holding my hips. He moved me back until I hit his painfully erect manhood behind me. “Ride me.”
I leaned up and kissed him again. I don’t really like riding and he knows it, but at that point I wanted such a pounding I didn’t really care. He moved up on the bed to sit up and I stood above him. He led me lower and moved up to enter me. The feeling of him slipping inside was phenomenal. He placed his hands on my hips, moving me slowly on his length. He kept moving up to meet me, pushing his body harder. I rode him for all I was worth, making a lot of noise and hoping no one would wake up. The bed we were on was creaking as he moved me back and forth and I thought it would collapse in a minute.
He complained I was going too damn slow. Hey, I did exactly what he asked me to. If he was going to make me ride, I was gonna enjoy it for as long as I could. After a while though, who knows how long, he got tired of us taking our time. Glenn’s eyes were filled with lust, his breathing heavy and he just simply lifted me up, rolled me onto my back and mounted me, right in without a hello. At that point I didn’t care. I wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his back. begging him to take me. I honestly did not care at that point. I pleaded with him to screw me, which I didn’t have to, he was gonna do it anyway.
“God Faith. Shit, baby. You ready for this, hmnn? Yeeessssss!!!!!!”
He didn’t even look down at me as he came, hissing, the stream hot and hard. A rough, loud roar of passion came from his throat as he finished, followed by my cry into his shoulder. There was nothing real loving about what we had just done and we didn’t care. Hey, even the most loving couples have to feed all those evil carnal desires with just a fuck once in a while.
“Can’t oou two keep it down! All usth dwunks is tryin' a sleep!” Glenn looked over his shoulder at Matt who was standing in the doorway, wobbling. He kinda squinted at Glenn and I, still connected rather intimately, Glenn’s naked ass staring right at him. He staggered back and walked away, humming his theme song. We heard a thud as he apparently passed out and fell to the ground.
Glenn rolled over and pulled me to lay next to him. I laid my head on his chest as he pulled the covers up to my shoulders. He kissed my forehead and smiled into my hair as he held my head. “I love you Faith. Stay with me tonight?”
I nodded as I was ready to pass out, a good lay and liquor can put anyone to sleep. He laid me down on his chest and stroked my hair until I felt like I couldn’t stay awake anymore.
“I love you Glenn. G’night lover.”
I finally fell asleep, the world catching up to me, feeling safe in a good man’s arms.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
“WAKE UP!”
I sat straight up, blankets falling off of me, staring straight into the face of Shannon Moore. I realized I was topless, covered myself up and smacked the blonde right across the face.
“Why the fuck did you do that?” He rubbed his cheek as I looked around at the various men around me. “Fucking hurt.”
Mark was laughing at him, but stopped once he realized it hurt his head too bad. He was in nothing but a towel, sitting on the other bed. Jeff was behind him in some kind of daze and muttering something about bottles of rum and “it doesn’t fit”.
Matt had walked in with Shane, the only two to at least be fully clothed. Matt handed me a glass and two Alka-Seltzer tablets.
“Take em. Makes the headache go away.”
I did, making faces at the nasty stuff. I put down the glass and asked Shane to throw me my shirt. I put it on and let the blanket fall as I got up and tried to walk around. I decided sitting was good at that point and asked where Glenn was.
Mark rubbed his head and popped his own neck, speaking through his haze. “Taking Nowinski and Evers to the airport. Why were they here?”
I laid back and stared at Mark through a mass of bed head. “Who do you think we got to prance around for your females last night huh?”
Matt about looked sick. “Chris and Lance? You couldn’t get any better?”
I shook my head. “Did you want them ogling better looking men?” Matt shook his head. “Didn’t think so. They got paid well.”
Mark spoke up, curious. “How much?”
The whole group of them laughed when I told them Glenn offered to job to them. “It was either that or drop a belt. He took the job. Won’t kill him to job to them once.”
“Couldn’t you get guys we didn’t have to work with?” Matt laughed as he sat down on the end of the bed, apparently feeling only some of the ill effects of his liquor. “Nice full moon last night wasn’t it, Faith?”
“You remember?”
“I may have been drunk but I couldn’t forget that.” He rubbed my head jokingly.
“What the hell you talkin’ ‘bout, Hardy?” Mark was nursing a cup of coffee Shane had just handed him, trying to break through the fog in his head. He shook it, cracking his neck again as Matt spoke.
“Glenn and my little sister were loud enough to wake the dead last night. Damn, but I thought it was a set of howling dogs getting busy. I walk in here, hear it, and see nothing but Glenn’s bare ass staring at me, with only her hands covering it up. I’ll never forget that shit. Nightmares.”
Mark laughed a bit, imagining the scene apparently. “Glenn slept on a cum stain huh?”
I looked daggers at him. “Better our cum stain than a puddle of his own piss, Mark. Where’s your clothes?”
He reddened and cleared his throat. “What are we supposed to do now?”
I stood, finding my bearings and looking for the rest of my clothes. I picked em up, trying to cover my backside and told Mark and them to sit tight and try to wake Jeff up. “Order room service and put it on the room. Try to get Spot sobered up enough so he can take care of Jeremy. I’ll go down the hall and see if the girls are alive. I think Jess and Amy have to pick the dresses up today and you all have to get your tuxes. Send Glenn down when he gets back. If he’s not back in an hour I’ll come down here.” I headed for the door, realizing I needed a longer jersey.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I walked into the sick ward as soon as I walked into that other room. All of Jess and Amy’s friends were sitting on the couches in the main room, cold washcloths on their faces, and moaning. Amy’s mom was giving Sara a couple Alka-Seltzer tablets as Matt had given me. Jess was drinking orange juice behind the bar, looking rather unwell.
“What the hell? Where’s Amy?”
Jess looked up at me and pointed to the bathroom door. “Retching her insides out. Where the hell did you go?”
“Spent the night with Glenn.” She looked at me funny as we had all agreed to have a man free night. “I’ll explain later. I better go check on Amy.”
I walked in and Amy was indeed praying to the porcelain goddess. I knelt down next to her as she finished giving dry heaves. “I’ll never drink another Drop!” I handed her a wet washcloth and she wiped her face and looked up at me. “How did you stay bombed for three days?”
“Glenn only gave me enough to keep me real uninhibited, not get alcohol poisoning. You on the other hand are nearly here. HEY JESS!” The Green-haired female came in, still sipping orange juice. “Do me a favor. Call room service and have them send massive amounts of toast. We need something to settle your stomachs. Then call room 3942 and see if Glenn’s back.” She nodded and swept out of the room as I stood Amy up. “Come on you, get a shower, it’ll help you feel better.”
I left Amy to take a shower, leaving the door cracked so if she fell we would hear. I came out to see all the hung-over females in the room trying to figure out where they were and who should get cleaned up and ready first. Amy and Jess’s friends were going to stay in the room until the wedding so they didn’t have to get packed up. Amy’s mom would go with Sara, Jess, Amy and I to get the dresses. We were finally getting the others to convince us to get cleaned up when there was a knock at the door.
“Faith?”
Glenn walked in, having the other key. “Hey baby,” He pulled me in for a kiss which go a lot of faint sickly whistles from the girls. “What did you need, Madame?”
“Out in the hall.”
I led him out the door, leaning against it as I spoke. “Where are they Glenn?” He looked at me like I was nuts, cocking his head and then shaking it. He didn’t know what the hell I was talking about.
“Where are what?”
“Where are my pills Glenn.”
“Bottom of my bag. I saw them last night. Why?”
“Because I couldn’t find them and I haven’t taken them for a week.” I slid down the door and held my pounding head. “Oh God. Glenn…”
He kneeled down to me where I was freaking out. “Hey. Calm down. I told you I wouldn’t get you pregnant before you were ready, and you know I’ll stick to that. I’ll go down and get them and bring them to you.”
“Last night…”
“If I remember college biology right, you should be fine. Faith, you’re flipping out over nothing. Look. I’ll get your pills and you’ll take them. If the time comes and you are going to have my baby, you know I will take care of you. If not we’ll still wait Ok?” I nodded, looking up at him. “Damn woman, you need a vacation. I think you’re just too stressed. You’ve been working on these weddings and had a hard schedule with the company. I’ve been no help, you’ve had to take care of me and everything. I’m gonna call and ask Vince If he can get you some extra time off. I’m about to turn heel and I think the fans would believe it more if you weren’t there for a while. Wanna get injured?”
“Injure me in a workout. For real.”
“Huh?” He looked at me funny again as I explained.
“Let me get hurt, I’ll sprain my ankle or something. Vince is not known for letting people off just cause they need a break, especially after a break. I can get you to take me on the trampoline where I can hurt myself. I’ve done it enough, I know how to without breaking my leg.”
“What a hidden talent, purposeful self injury.” He smiled as he helped me up. “Go get cleaned up. I’ll be back in a bit with your stuff. You gonna be alright?” I nodded, sent him off to get my stuff and then do what he needed. He had to drive everyone around to get their penguin suits, like I did for the dresses. We agreed to have everyone back either to Cameron or the hotel by five. We wanted to have some alone time, again.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
It was the day of the weddings. Yes, I said weddings. Jeff and Matt insisted on getting married on the same day, Sunday June 1st. My brothers are such freaks, but then again…Freaks Rule.
Oh, shameless ain’t I?
I was up at six, taking care of Jeremy, Mattea and Moore with Glenn and Dad. Jess and Amy were staying with us and we were letting them sleep in. Amy’s mom and Jillian were making sure the park we were having the weddings and reception at were ready. The first wedding was at 2 p.m., Jess and Jeff. Matt and Amy were at 4. And before you say something about Matt seeing Amy before the wedding, they didn’t fall into that superstition. Thank god, because I didn’t want to veil Amy.
Dad, Glenn and I were sitting at the kitchen table, feeding the miniatures, when Jess and Amy came down. I turned and looked at Jess as she watched Glenn giving Jeremy his bottle. He took the bottle from the little boy and went to burp him. Within no time at all, a stream of milk erupted from Jeremy’s mouth, covering Glenn’s back and part of the floor. I swear I thought Jess was gonna bust a gut. I handed Glenn a towel as he held the little babbling baby out to his mother.
“Good god. Where was he hiding it?”
“He’s a baby. It happens Glenn.”
I took the towel I had given him and started mopping up what I could. I tapped him on the head and made him look at me. “And you want one of those, darlin’. Go change your clothes, ya got it on yer ass.”
He got up, throwing a smile at me then Jeremy and walked up the stairs to my room. Jess took Jeremy into the downstairs bathroom to clean him up before She, Amy and I went to our hair appointment. Sara was supposed to meet us there, being the other bridesmaid. Jess came out a bit later, listening to Glenn come down the stairs. He scooped our godson up, kissing his forehead.
“Ok. Hitchin’s. When you three leaving?”
Amy looked up from her book and to her watch. “Were supposed to meet Sara at the salon in a half hour. We should leave in a few minutes to get there. Who’s driving?”
I pointed to myself as I fished around in Glenn’s jeans pocket.
“Faith, your family is watching. Quit feeling me up darlin’.”
I stuck my tongue out as I grabbed his keys and pinched him. “I’m driving and we can’t all fit in my truck. We’re taking yours. If you need to go somewhere, take mine.
He pulled me to him with the hand he wasn’t holding Jeremy with. “Be careful. I’ll see you before the wedding right?”
“Hopefully.” I turned and looked as Amy and Jess headed out to the silver Durango. I looked down at Jeremy and smiled. “You two be good. Jeremy you keep your uncle Glenn out of trouble, okie dokie.” I kissed them both on the nose and said goodbye to Dad, who was attending to Moore and Mattea.
“Dad, don’t forget the kids need to be ready before we get back.”
He hollered something about knowing how to take care of kids and knew when to be ready, as I ran out.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
We got to do all the usual pre-wedding stuff, like a ultra-female girly thing. Jess and I got our hair colors touched up and we all got our nails done. Sara insisted I get mine done, I thought they were fine but she said something about French tips and I was held down to a chair as the lady afixed white on my fingers. I told her it would stay for the day, “I can’t wrestle or take care of a horse with these claws.”
“You can make claw marks on Glenn’s back if he gets to misbehaving.” Sara giggled at the comment and I stretched my fingers with my nails and meowed for the effect.
We got back to the house as Glenn was leaving. He was headed over to Matt’s house, where the men were going to meet before heading out to Fairhill Park. There was a fountain there, where Jeff and Jess would get married, and the rose garden would be the site of Matt and Amy’s nuptials. I had a friend of Kerry’s do me a favor and set up a tent near the rose garden so all of us could change into our dresses. The boys were all wearing the same tuxedos, except Matt and Jeff, who were going to change their vests. After Amy and Matt’s wedding Jess and Jeff would change back into their wedding attire and everyone would go over to the hall Dad had gotten for them.
Vince paid to have the best caterer he knew to feed everyone. He didn’t have to but felt he needed to contribute to the wedding and did it as a Wedding present. We’ll it was almost a wedding present. He wanted a WWE photographer to be there to catch the moment. The Photographer was supposed to remember to make sure not to take a picture of Glenn’s face, since he was still technically ‘masked’.
Sometimes I despise being in the WWE.
Anyone else want to sell their soul to Vince?
Ok, let me tell you a bit about Jeff and Jess’s wedding, since Matt and Amy’s wedding was somewhat uneventful. It really was gorgeous. Jess wore this old-fashioned high-necked gown, with illusion lace in the front and a keyhole, which had a small gold coin-looking pendant hanging from it. She had a chapel length train that could be removed from her dress, and wore Sara’s veil (the something borrowed). Her hair was streaked blue for the occasion(the something blue of course), and she wore a pair of my grandmother’s diamond earrings that Jeff had given her as a wedding present.
She was at least nice to her bridesmaids, picking light purple corset-top dresses for all of us. Since it was a nice day out we didn’t mind the fact they were sleeveless. I slightly objected to the heels, I didn’t feel like being taller than I already was. So I got to wear flats, thank the gods!
The guys all looked good. Mark was an usher, as was Shane Helms. Shannon Moore was at the gate with the guest book, checking invitations, and Dad was just pacing. He was going to walk me down the aisle as a groomsman. Jeff had a very set list of how he wanted it done. “I want my family with me. My son, my brother, my father and sister. It’s just not a wedding without family there with you.”
So when we walked down the ‘aisle’ toward the fountain, it looked like this. First was Sara, who was being escorted by Jeremy, carried by Glenn. Jeremy even had a little tuxedo on, he was so cute! After Sara and Jeremy/Glenn, Dad led me down the aisle. Next, Matt led Amy, both were smiling, happy they would be doing this same thing, yet making their vows in a little over an hour.
After Matt and Amy was Jeff, who stopped at halfway down the aisle and turned to wait. Jess came out of the Limo she was in, helped out and escorted by Vince and Linda. She had chosen them because they were like surrogate parents to her, as her parents were dead. Her brother didn’t feel it was right for him to give her away so Vince and Linda had agreed to do it. They walked her halfway down to where Jeff was waiting. He led her the rest of the way up, then asked the Priestess if she would start. Jess had her friend who was a high priestess to officiate at her wedding and she did a wonderful job.
As the ceremony went on, I glanced at Glenn, who was mouthing something. He looked at me, then to Jeremy, the forward to the Priestess. I turned back and then looked at Glenn again. I watched his lips move and realized he was reciting the vows. I turned and didn’t look back at him again until after the wedding. I knew he knew them, having been married before, but why in the hell was he saying them?
Finally it was over, about 20 Minutes after it had started. Jeff and Jess asked if the guests would head for the rose garden, and be their guests for their brother and new sister’s wedding. We all headed out to the tents again and changed, getting ready to repeat the whole thing, with a different Clergy. The Dresses were different and had to be changed, and the order was different. This time Glenn was an usher with Shannon. So there was Sara and Mark, Shane and I(that was Matt’s little joke and I didn’t like it but Glenn was alright with it), Jess and Jeff. Dad sat in the front row with Jeremy, Moore and Mattea sleeping in carriers on each side. Amy’s Mom gave her away, Matt coming down from his position to get Amy. It was a beautiful ceremony. Amy wore a simpler dress that was perfect for her, an A-line white and ivory strapless number. She wore her hair down with no veil and it was stunning.
Afterward, Jess got back into her dress and we did the whole reception thing, the Line, the Dinner, the Dance and all. Jess and Jeff insisted on having separate first dances and the DJ complied. Jeff and Jess got ‘You’re the Inspiration’ by Chicago. Matt and Amy got ‘Love of my Life’ by Brian McKnight. After that, it was all over. Everyone danced with everyone else, Vince taking double turns with the brides during the dollar dance. We found more than one hundred on both of them, at least one coming from Mark and Glenn for each bride. Sara and I had danced with Matt and Jeff, Sara making them do the hustle for a hundred.
Some time during the festivities, Glenn and Dad both disappeared. When I found them, they were hiding in a corner, claiming they were discussing the weather. I told them that was bull and stole Glenn to dance with me for a while. After a time, he said he was tired and passed me off to Shannon Moore for a while. He told him to tire me out, “so I can control her later.” Oh, he’ll pay for that one. I do have those claws!
He walked off to talk to Mark, still staring at me. Kinda disconcerting. Mark shoved something into his hand and a cold chill went up my spine. I would have to ask on this later.
After about 11pm, the crowds had left and so had the couples and their children. Everything was cleaned up and everyone else going home when Glenn and I decided to leave. We were staying at Dad’s for the week and were in no hurry to go home, so we went for a drive. We had changed into regular clothes and were headed back to the house about 1:30 in the morning when Glenn pulled to the side of the road. He stared at me, dumbfounded, as I asked him what Mark had given him earlier.
“You saw?” He smiled and hung his head. “We made a bet, Fay.” He did look a bit ashamed. I couldn’t tell if he was embarrassed or not as he turned his head to me.
“What kind of Bet?”
“We bet on you. Well, I bet on you. He bet against.”
I crossed my arms in front of me and turned to look at my boyfriend. I didn’t know whether to kiss him or kick his ass. “What in the hell did you bet on?”
He put his head on the steering wheel and sighed. “That you would have sex with me.”
“Glenn, we have been for…”
“No. I mean… Here. In the truck.”
I blushed. He was looking over at me and I sat back, turning to stare out the window at the sky. “You made a bet, with Mark, that I would screw you in the truck? Mark has a serious gambling issue.”
He put a huge hand on my shoulder and tried to turn me to look him in the face. I shrugged him off like I was angry. I wasn’t really upset about it though. I felt just pissed enough to make him squirm and sweat for a minute. I turned back to him, a slight look of fury on my face.
“So why the hell did you make the bet.”
“I don’t know. I was stupid. If you don’t want to then that’s fine. Faith, I don’t care what Mark says about anything alright. Look, lets just go back to the house. It’s late…” He went to turn the truck on and head home when I grabbed the keys from his hand and threw them in the floorboard. His got wide eyed and was shocked as I pulled him to me and ravaged him.
I pulled away only after I was assured he was like putty in my hands. The poor guy was oozing and probably still amazed I wasn’t completely pissed. He about lost it when I attacked his jeans for all I was worth, practically ripping them off of him.
He stopped me before I went down on him, looking me in the eye. “Why are you doing this?”
“I have three choices. Do it because I want you, or because you want me, which you can’t tell me right now your not ready for it. Or do it to piss off Mark. I think I shall do it for all three reasons dear. How much did you bet?”
“A hundred. All he had left on him.”
“For a hundred you get a blow job and a fuck and your ass better spend it on me you big evil looking brute.”
He didn’t comment, only moaned as at that point I had my lips around him and giving him an out of body experience. I didn’t have to wait long before he got caught in the moment and came, letting go and arching his back. I leaned back up after I was sure he was finished and looked at his face, wiping my mouth for effect. I doubt he though he was alive at the moment.
“I think I’m in heaven.”
“It’s called getting head, darlin’. Ain’t the first time and wont be the last. Can ya stand?”
He nodded and I told him to get out of the truck, almost pushing him out the drivers side. He stood staring at me as I got out, thankful it was late and very dark. I stood on the running board of the Durango and hiked my skirt up. I was going to take my thong off but he took care of that, holding me steady as he ripped it off.
“I liked that one.”
“I’ll get you a new one.”
He sat me down on the edge of the driver seat, moving the steering wheel so it would lock. He moved his jeans lower, just enough they wouldn’t get in the way, and pulled me closer to him as he entered. I felt him groan as he did and saw his eyes roll back in their sockets. We moved together, like the night at the hotel, not bothering to hold back. He was pushing himself to the brink, and about to let go when he looked up and said very simply,…
“Oh Fuck.”
I leaned up from where I was and saw the figure of a county sheriff coming toward us. I knew for a fact we were in deep shit. Glenn wasn’t going to move, caught like a dear in headlights. He told me to be quiet as the officer came and asked what was going on. I’m thinking, ‘What the hell do you think is going on’? The officer put his flashlight in my face and asked who Glenn was. He asked him to recover himself as he continued to speak to him. He moved away and I got up, looking at the officer who was just smiling at me as I fixed my skirt. He asked Glenn for his license as I looked at him and gave him a sarcastic grin.
“It would be you, Don.”
“Nice legs Faith. Want to tell me who this big one is and why the hell you’re getting busy on the side of a road five minutes from your dad’s house?”
Glenn stopped adjusting himself, first staring at me and then back to the deputy. “What the fuck?”
I smiled at Glenn and took his hand. “Glenn this is My friend Kerry’s brother, Don. Don, this is my boyfriend Glenn.”
Glenn didn’t shake his hand for obvious reasons and Don looked back to me. “Ok you. Take it home and finish it up. I gotta get going. Nice Meeting you Glenn.” Don got in his car and left, leaving Glenn and I standing there. Glenn looked at me as I started laughing.
“What’s so damned funny.”
I pointed at him with a sing-song voice. “You got caught fucking in your truck! And your dick’s hanging out!”
He got himself situated and we got back in the truck. I climbed in beside him and urged him to get back to Dad’s. We didn’t last five seconds from pulling into the driveway.
Thankfully Dad and Jillian were asleep in the house. Glenn won his bet, I think we spooked Gypsy and Liger barked incessantly through the whole thing. Mark was out a hundred bucks, Glenn got laid in the truck and I got serviced damn well. Triple bonus for Faith! YAY ME!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The Next day Glenn and I went down to the trampoline. We told Dad what we were going to do, so he wouldn’t think Glenn had done it on purpose. We were down there and everything was planned well. Glenn had his car keys just in case we had to go to the hospital, we had a cell phone and lots of ice in a cooler. We were going to do this, hopefully without breaking my leg or any other injury. I was going to jump off one of the makeshift turnbuckles onto the ground. There I would make sure to shift my weight as I fell. I would land wrong on my ankle and sprain it. This was “the Plan” and hopefully we would come off without a hitch.
Hey, it had worked before.
We both went through a few simple moves, clotheslines, DDT’s and one really good hurricanrana(thanks for teaching me, Amy!). After a while Glenn decided to try it, saying if I didn’t do it soon he wasn’t going to let me. I climbed up on the top of the post and took a deep breath.
“Oh goddess, help me.”
I took one deep breath and jumped, shifting on landing, falling on my left ankle, hearing a faint pop and crumpling to the ground, the pain in my leg creeping up. Glenn was at my side, checking my leg and pulling off my shoes. He took one look at it and nodded.
“Sprained. Wiggle your toes. Nice hidden talent. How’d you learn to do that?” I told him I had learned it to keep out of the ring when Jeff and Matt wanted to learn powerbombs and that I could tell it wasn’t hurt bad enough to keep me out more than a few weeks. He picked me up and carried me to the house. “Lets get it into ice and get you up to the house. Time to give Vince a call. He wont be happy about this.” He wrapped my ankle in ice and carried me up to the house, putting me on the couch, telling me to hold the ice pack in place. He was on the phone with Vince’s office a minute later.
“Mr. McMahon please. Glenn Jacobs. He’s not in? Where is he?” He shook his head and ran his hand through his hair. “Is Mrs. McMahon in? I’ll talk to her.” He sat next to me, testing what mobility I had in it. He had worked at a mental hospital but did know what to look for in a sprain. Apparently the patients had injured themselves more than once on his watch. He asked me what hurt as we waited online for Linda’s office to pick up.
“Hello Is this Linda McMahon’s office? I need to speak to her please. Glenn Jacobs concerning Faith Hardy.” He rolled his eyes. “I hate being on hold.” He sat back, elevating my leg on his lap as he waited for Linda to pick up. He didn’t have to wait long.
“Linda? It’s Glenn… Fine, but we have a problem. Faith fell this morning,… off the turnbuckle on their ring out here… No she didn’t break anything, just sprained her left ankle… Who knows. You want Petit to look at it?… We were going to fly out in the morning for the show tomorrow…. She’s got crutches here, says Matt and Jeff were always messing her up when she was younger… Yeah. Actually I think this will be better for that heel turn in the next few weeks. Steve’s supposed to urge me to stop “being soft.” Better not to have my woman around, let ‘Kane’ get a little over aggressive. We can figure out later how we want to work her back in… Let me get off of here. Maybe we can get a earlier flight, sometime tonight…. Yeah…. We’ll work it all out tomorrow. Alright Linda, thanks… Bye.”
“Well?”
Glenn looked over to me and smiled. “You gotta get put on injured by the doc. Then your off. Linda agrees that it would be better if you were not there for this turn. Steve’s gonna push me damned hard in the ring and I’m supposed to go back to being a monster. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. Meanwhile…” He moved my foot, gingerly putting it back down on the couch. “I will make lunch, do our laundry and get us packed. We have to be in Anaheim to get you on the injured list. I don’t have a show until Monday so I can take you back to St. Louis. Get some rest baby. We’re probably going to leave damned early.”
