Chapter 23: Two Different Conversations
Lynn got settled in her seat on the plane. They were headed to Australia for their first headline tour there. Andy would be meeting them there. She wanted to spend a little more time with Trevor. Since she wasn't really around like she promised.
But she said that she would meet them in Australia a week before they kicked off the tour. Ethan went ahead of the band and flew over with Terry and Cam. So they could get a feel for everything. She took out her phone found Andy's number. She tapped on the video chat icon and waited.
She smiled when she saw little Trevor appear on the screen then Andy's head popped up behind him. They started chatting as Alex got settled next to Lynn and he shook his head. Brian and Justin were in the row in front of them and Mark was a seat behind Lynn and Alex.
"I can't believe I'm not gonna see you for another week." Lynn said
"I know, but it'll go by fast, I promise. I just had to make good on my promise to Brittany. I'll be there soon love."
"I'll remember to send you your checklist."
Andy smiled, "Thank you, because knowing Ethan, he'll forget." She put Trevor down by his toys and then looked back at Lynn.
"I do have a layover in Seattle for about twelve hours. My cousins are gonna take me out to lunch and I'm gonna spend some time with them."
"When's your flight?"
"I leave Georgia on the ninth, then I'll be in Seattle right before lunch. Then, I should be getting to you guys by the tenth. But with the time change it'll be the eleventh I think. I'll send you my flight information when it gets closer."
Lynn nodded and was about to say something but she heard a crash on Andy's end and then a loud scream. She knew it was Trevor.
"Oh shit, I gotta go babe. Have a safe flight. I'll see you soon. I love you. Bye." With that Andy hung up leaving a dazed Lynn.
"Did she just?" Alex asked looking at her and Lynn was still looking at her phone. Just then the pilot came on the intercom telling them were getting ready for take off. They were instructed to turn off all electronic devices.
Lynn getting out of her daze turned off her phone and then looked at Alex, "Did she just tell me she loves me?"
Alex smiled, "I think she did. But I don't think she realized it."
"Should I bring it up?"
Alex shook his head, "I would see if she remembered. It seemed like she said it in the heat of a moment. But do you feel the same way? Would you have said it back?"
Lynn sat back in her seat and looked out the plane window. She knew her feelings for Andy were strong. But she was also scared of falling in love again. Being with Andy, she was always pushing away all the doubtful thoughts she had about being with some one again. She was starting to open up again, and to trust again.
"Lyndsey?"
Lynn turned her attention back to Alex and smiled.
"Are you in love with Andy?"
Again she smiled and started to turn red. That was enough for Alex. He smiled and sat back in his seat, and got ready for take off. He was happy to see his best friend happy and in love. They had a long flight and he hoped he would be able to talk to her about what he's been feeling since December.

"Is he okay?" Brittany asked rushing over to Andy who was cradling Trevor in her arms. She was trying to calm him down after he ended up tripping on the rug and hitting his head.
"Yeah, I think he was scared mostly. I don't see anything, but I'm sure he'll have a nasty bump in the morning." She looked him over and saw a dark red mark on his forehead. She gently kissed it and gave him to Brittany. His crying calmed down and he ended up falling asleep. Brittany sat down on the couch and held him close.
"So, you love Lynn huh?" She said looking at Andy with a smirk. She looked at her with a confused look.
"What are you talking about?" She asked picking up a few of Trevor's toys.
"I heard you. When you said bye to Lynn you said 'I love you.'"
"No, I didn't. I said that I had to go, to have a safe flight, I'll see her soon, and that I..." Andy's eyes went wide and she sat down on the love seat, "Oh no!"
She said under her breath, then she stood up and started to pace back and forth.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no." She started to say. Brittany stood up and walked over to Trevor's play pen and put him down. She went up to Andy and grabbed her arms to stop her from pacing.
"Okay, you're making me dizzy. What's wrong?"
"Uh, okay well, I told myself after Nicole not to fall so fast again. Cause well you know with Nicole I ended up falling for her after a week."
"Yeah, that was fun. Anyway you and Lynn have been together for what six, seven months."
"Seven at the end of this month. That's too soon. That's really too soon." Andy said and started to pace again. She put her hands on her head and Brittany couldn't help but smile at her.
"Well are you?"
Andy looked at her, "Am I what?"
"Are you in love with Lynn?"
Andy smiled and started to turn red and that was all Brittany needed, "Come on, I'll make us some tea and we'll talk more." She took Andy's arm and they walked into the kitchen. Andy leaned against the counter and crossed her arms.
She knew she had strong feelings for Lynn and she wants to be with her. She could see a future with Lynn. It seemed so clear that Lynn was end game for her. She was beginning to trust again. She was beginning to be able to be herself with some one again. But she never thought she would fall for some one who started out as a school girl crush. She just hoped that Lynn felt the same way.

Alex returned to his seat after using the bathroom. He got comfortable and looked over at Lynn who was writing in yet another journal. He took a deep breath and decided now would be a good time to talk to her about what's been going on with him.
"Hey, Lyndsey can we talk for bit?"
Lynn looked up at him for a moment, "Yeah, give me one second to finish this thought before I lose it." He nodded and waited patiently for her to finish.
She smiled when she finished. She just had to get her thoughts about what Andy had said. She just wanted to make sure she wrote it all down before it got away from her. She closed the cap on her pen and then closed her journal. She turned to Alex giving him her full attention.
"What's up?"
He turned to her and cleared his throat, "Well it's about Ethan."
Lynn nodded trying not to smile. She started to notice little things between the two of them. She just wanted to wait until Alex came to her first about everything.
"Okay."
He cleared his throat again, "Okay, well, so New Years Eve. Everyone kissed everyone. I complained that I had no one to kiss and well Ethan kissed me."
Lynn's eyes went wide. This little bit of information she didn't know. But then again she was lip locking with Andy.
"Wait, you two kissed?" That's when Brian suddenly appeared right next to Alex. Both Lynn and Alex looked at him, with surprised looks on their faces.
"What? I have to know what happened."
Alex nodded and got comfortable in his seat, "I don't know if it was the alcohol or what, but I know I had a lot to drink. I mean I woke up feeling like shit. But I remember that kiss and I've been having dreams about Ethan. A long with these weird flashes every time I see him or when we hang out."
"Has he talked you about the kiss?" Lynn asked and Alex shook his head.
"I mean he was going pretty hard that night." Brian said.
"He hasn't said anything. So I have no idea if he remembered it or not." Alex told them.
"What do you mean flashes when you see him?" Lynn asked.
Alex thought for a moment trying to remember one of the flashes that stood out to him. After another moment he smiled, "Okay, so there was this moment at Coachella where we were on the ferris wheel and he was freaking Andy out."
"Yeah, you two were assholes for that by the way." Lynn chimed in and Brian just laughed.
"Anyway, after you glared at us he turned his head and started to talk about how amazing the view was. I agreed and in that moment there was this flash of him in a kitchen making something. Then I see myself walking into the kitchen and we kissed each other. Then I started to set up the dining table. It was like we were living together. Then I caught a shimmer of something, I noticed a ring on my left ring finger. After I saw that, he brought me out of my trance and we ended up talking about the tour.
So I don't know. I can't stop thinking about him, and my heart races every time he's around. I feel like I'm going to say the wrong thing whenever I talk to him. I find myself getting tongue tied a lot when I'm around him.
I don't know. I just feel like some how there's a connection. But the thing that scares me the most is that I've never in my life have been attracted to a guy. He's like the ONLY guy I seem to be attracted to and I don't know how to feel about it."
Lynn put a hand on his arm and smiled, "Well, why don't you talk to him about what you're feeling? I mean he is gay after all."
"Yup, told you dude, guy has got it bad for you. But you wouldn't believe me." Brian said patting Alex on the shoulder. Alex chuckled and shook his head.
"Tell him," they heard and they saw Justin's head pop up in front of them.
"Talk to him while we're in Australia or when we got to South Korea. The guy likes you Alex. But he hasn't made a move because he knows you're straight. He doesn't want to scare you off. Besides you two have been spending a lot of time together when we hang out. It's like the two of you are lost in your own little world."
"Yeah, I'm getting a little jealous of that to be honest. He's stealing my best friend." Brian joked and they all chuckled a little bit.
"Alex we love you and we'll support you no matter what. We're a family and we're not going anywhere." Lynn said with a smile. Alex felt himself tear up a little bit and he smiled at his three best friends.
"So Brian and Angel are getting married. Lynn is with Andy, and Alex may be starting something with Ethan. Well shit, who am I gonna be single with now?" Justin smiled and the three of them playfully hit him.
"What are you going to do?" Brian asked looking at his best friend.
Alex smiled and looked back at him, then Justin, then Lynn. He took Lynn's hand in his and took one more look around at his three best friends, "I'm gonna tell him how I feel, and I think I'll do it while we're in Sydney."
Lynn kissed his cheek, Brian and Justin gave him encouraging pats on his arm and he wiped a small tear away. "I love you guys."
Lynn put her head on his shoulder, "I love you." Alex kissed the top of her head and smiled.
"You're a pain in my ass, but I guess I love ya." Brian said with a laugh and Alex playfully punched his arm.
"Yeah, you're alright I guess. So I think I love ya too buddy." Justin said with a smirk.
They all laughed and then they heard Mark's voice, "You know I love you guys too, but can you please keep it down. Some of us need our sleep."
"Sorry Mark." Alex said with a sheepish smile.
"He's right though, we do need to get some sleep. We have a few more hours until Adelaide. We know how Brian gets when he doesn't get his beauty rest." Lynn said raising her head from Alex's shoulder.
"I am both shocked and saddened that you would say such a thing." He said in a mocking hurt tone. He stood up and went back to his seat. Again they all laughed but quietly this time. They started to get settled in their seats. Before Lynn got fully settled she once again took Alex's hand and he looked up at her.
"I'm proud of you."
"Thank you. But why?"
She sighed, "I kind of suspected something back in December. Okay, well I caught you checking out Ethan when he and Andy were setting up your tent."
His eyes went wide and she sat up, "I didn't say anything because I wanted you to figure out your feelings first. Plus I didn't want to freak you out."
He put his head back in his seat and let out a sigh. He was silent for a moment then smiled and looked back at her, "Thank you, for that. I just didn't know at the time and it took me this long to figure everything out."
She squeezed his hand, "I'm glad you did. Now come on let's get some sleep."
"Yeah, you two shut up. I need my beauty rest." Brian said and the two just shook their heads. They settled into their seats again to get ready to get some sleep. The three of them in hopes of dreaming of the ones that they held so close to their hearts.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me." Andy said under her breath. She just got back to the airport in Seattle after having lunch with her cousins. When she returned she checked her departure flight. Only to find out that she wasn't going to be leaving until the next day.
She went up to the information desk and they told her that the plane that was going to take the passengers to their final destination had to change its route. There was a storm brewing and the plane was going being diverted to another stop.
She asked if there was another flight she could get on today to get to Adelaide and they told her that everything was booked up. She asked what's the earliest flight she could take on any airline. The two clerks checked for her and the young woman did find a flight that would leave in the next hour.
She asked how much the cost would be and the two clerks looked at each other and then back at her and smiled. The young woman asked for her I.D. and Andy nodded. After what seemed like an eternity the young woman gave Andy her I.D. and boarding passes.
She told her where the gate was and that she would be in Adelaide earlier than she expected. She gave them a big smile and said thank you. She picked up her duffel bag and started to walk in haste towards the gate.
On her way there she took out her phone and looked through it until she found Ethan's name. She hit the video chat and waited.
"Hey!" Ethan said answering his phone and seeing a tired but excited Andy.
"Hey are you with them?" She asked.
"Give me a sec." She heard some rustling for a few minutes and then she heard his voice again, "What's up?"
"I'm gonna be in Adelaide sooner than expected. I'll send you my flight number and my new information."
"How did you manage that?"
"Turned out the plane that was supposed to take me wasn't gonna get here until tomorrow. So you know how I feel about spending the night in airports."
"Don't remind me."
"Anyway, I asked the ladies at the information desk if there was any other flight on any other airline and they checked. Long story short, I'm rushing to the gate right now because the plane leaves in an hour. So instead of coming in like I planned. I'm gonna be there like EXTREMELY early. Any way you can come get me? Or you and Mark? I wanna surprise everyone."
Ethan nodded, "Okay I'll talk to Mark see what we can do. Send me your information now."
"Hold on, I'm at the gate. Boarding starts in twenty minutes." She stood next to a pillar and sent Ethan her flight information.
"Alright just sent it."
"Okay hold on let me go get Mark and the three of us can talk." She saw a blank screen and heard Ethan asking where Mark was. She heard Justin's voice telling Ethan where he saw him last.
"Hold on." She heard some more rustling and a knock on the door. Then the door opening. She heard Ethan and Mark greet each other then she saw their faces on her phone.
"Hey! So when are you coming in?" Mark asked with a smile.
"Boarding in like fifteen minutes. Ethan show him."
"This is her flight, she ended up changing everything. But she wants to surprise everyone. What's their schedule like?"
"Let me check."
"Do you have everything best friend?" Ethan asked with a smile.
"So far. Just don't have jerky though. Don't have time to grab any."
"Medicine?"
"Yup, all in my bag."
"Book?"
"Yup."
"Notebook?"
"Yup."
"Pens?"
"Yup."
"Earbuds?"
"Yup. By the way, thanks for sending me the checklist asshole." She said with a smirk.
"Well I'm going through it with you now." He smirked back.
"This is why I have Lynn as back up." She said keeping her smirk and he feigned a hurt look. Then they both smiled at each other.
"Okay they have an interview with a radio station, then another one with a magazine. Around the time you come in. Ethan and I or some one else can come pick you up and we can get you settled in the hotel. Then, after I think there's a place that's doing an open mic that they wanted to check out."
Ethan's eyes got wide, "ANDREA! I just got an idea."
She was about to say something but then she heard her name being called, "Hey I gotta go. Tell me about when I get there. I'll see you guys soon."
"Love you!"
"Love you!"
She hung up her phone and grabbed her duffel bag. She walked up to the desk and smiled.
"Hi, I'm Andrea, you just called for me?"
The young man smiled and looked at her, "Yes ma'am, I just need to see your boarding pass. Just doing some final checks, since you were a last minute add on."
"I understand." She gave him her boarding pass and he started to check everything over.
"Okay Miss Hill, your luggage is not going to be on the flight with you, but it will get to you the next day after you get there. Is that going to be okay?"
Andy nodded, "Yes sir. I can get everything I need when I land." He smiled at her and started to type on his keyboard. Then he took out a small card and wrote something down.
"Just call this number and they will let you know when your luggage will come in." He gave her the small card and she gave him a small thankful smile. He returned the smile and went back to clicking away at his computer.
"It looks like you've also been upgraded to first class."
Andy looked at him confused, "Are you sure?"
He gave her a smile and nodded, "Says it right here. Must be the seat that opened up."
"I'm sorry I'm finding this hard to believe. Can you double check for me?"
"Of course. I take it this doesn't happen often?" He asked her with a smile and she returned it and shook her head.
"Not really." She gave a weak chuckle and he smiled.
"I just double checked everything and you have been upgraded to first class. I'll reprint your boarding passes for you and you'll be all set."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. Going on vacation?"
"Kinda, it's more like a work vacation."
"What do you do?"
"I'm a photographer for a band."
He smiled and gave her the new boarding passes and her I.D., "Oh wow, get to travel with them every where huh?"
She nodded, "Yeah, went from being a prep cook to this. So it's been a bit of transition."
"Well Miss Hill, I hope you enjoy your flight and I hope to see some of your photos some day."
"Thank you. Have a good one." They smiled at each other and Andy looked at her watch. She thought she had more time, but it was getting close to board. She wanted to talk to Ethan again, and tell him about what she had said to Lynn.
Lynn called her again after they landed in Australia. They talked some more and throughout the week they video chatted with each other. Neither brought up what Andy said. Even though both wanted to say it. Andy thought about the next time she wanted to say it, she would be face to face with Lynn. When she thought back to when she said it the first time she was caught up in a moment.
She never thought she would say this soon. But her conversation with Brittany helped her realize when she fell in love with Lynn. That night Lynn slapped her for running away. It was in that moment that Andy knew Lynn really did care for her. Brittany laughed when Andy told her, but it was the truth. It was that moment that also brought her into a reality check. Because her last relationships seemed to be one sided. She was the one that would take care of everything, and take care of the girl she was with. She would treat them so great or so she thought. But they never really returned the favor.
With Lynn it was truly different. She did care about her, and during the last tour she ended up having a nightmare. Lynn didn't hesitate to help her slowly wake up. She had all these flaws and she as far from perfect, but Lynn was seeing past all that. She smiled thinking about the last few months with Lynn. She didn't want to jinx anything. That's why she freaked out when she said what she said last week.
She heard the call for the first class boarding just as her phone was going off. She looked and smiled seeing Lynn's face, but she wanted to surprise her so she didn't answer. Instead she sent her a quick message saying that she may be spending the night in the airport.
After sending the message she gave her boarding pass to the same young man that she talked to earlier. He told to have a nice flight and she thanked him. She walked down the tunnel trying to control her breathing. Her fear of flying sinking in, plus wondering what idea Ethan had. She just couldn't wait to get to Australia and see Lynn. This adventure has been one of a lifetime and she could wait to see where else this would take them.

"I can't believe this." Lynn said typing away at her phone. Alex looked up from his video game. Brian looked up from his camera that he was cleaning and Justin stopped sketching.
"What's wrong?" Justin asked.
"Turns out Andy has to stay the night in Seattle. Her flight got delayed big time and she won't be here until day after tomorrow." She sighed and sat down next to Alex. She picked up the second controller and he just looked at her.
"What? I need to kill something." She leaned forward and waited for him to start the game again. That's when Ethan walked in with a few bags.
"Alright dinner is here." He said putting the bags on the dining table and started to go through everything. He took out the containers and started to hand it out to everyone. He did a double take when he saw Lynn playing the video game with Alex.
"Andy's plane is delayed so Lynn's working out some sexual frustration." Brian said with a smirk as Ethan gave him his container of food.
"Did you know her flight was delayed?" Lynn asked as he set down her food container on the table. He had to think of something quick.
"No, I thought she was coming in at some point tomorrow. She didn't send me her flight information yet." He gave Alex his food and Alex looked up at him and smiled. Ethan gave him a small squeeze on his shoulder.
He gave Justin his and then he sat down next to Brian on the other couch with his food. He didn't want to tell them that she was actually on the plane right now. He kept up with her flight and the last time he checked she was ahead of schedule. She would landing just a few hours before dawn. It was decided that Ethan and Lauren would pick up Andy at the airport. Then, depending on time they would have to either hide Andy or just keep the four of them away from the hotel.
"So what's the plan for the next few days?" Ethan asked and Alex paused the game so he could eat. He and Lynn put down their controllers and started to dig into their food.
"Well we have a few interviews tomorrow. Then a little bit of site seeing, after that, rehearsal, then I think there's a photo shoot that Lisa arranged." Lynn explained.
"Is Andy doing the photo shoot?" Ethan asked just as Mark walked in.
"She can, but I think Lisa arranged this before we signed on Andy." He said grabbing a food container off the dining table and joining them.
"So who's going to be doing the shoot?" Brian asked.
"Guess we'll find out when we get there. Would you rather have Andy?" He asked and they all nodded.
"I'll see what I can do but. You know how Lisa gets when things don't go according to plan."
"Andy's the same way. She has to have a set time for everything. When she would close the line she had a schedule for when she had to put everything away. If she wasn't done by that certain time or start something at a certain she would get behind and she would get really frustrated." Ethan said getting up and walking into the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator and grabbed a few bottles of water, and a few cans of soda.
He came back over to everyone and put the bottles and cans on the coffee table before sitting back down. Everyone grabbed what they wanted and then settled back into their seats.
"Why do you want Andy to do the shoot?" Mark asked looking at everyone.
"She has a talent for it."
"I trust her."
"She has a good eye for things."
"She's an artist."
All four said at once. Ethan and Mark looked at each other with a smile. "I'll go talk to Lisa and see if she can change the photographer."
"That won't be necessary." They all turned to see Lisa and Lauren walk in. They walked further into the room and stood in front of the TV.
Mark stood up, "What's going on?"
Lisa cleared her throat, "Turns out when I booked the place, no one was using it. I just got a phone call from the building manger. Seems it got double booked and since we were the second booking we got the kick."
Everyone started to talk all at once and Lisa waited until they all got out what they wanted to say. Then she held up her hands and they all quieted down.
"I'm looking for a new place for the shoot, and since we have Andy I'll have her do it. But if we can't find a place tomorrow, we'll have to do it another day. I'm sorry. I wasn't expecting any of this." She shook her head and sighed.
Lynn stood up and walked over to her and put her arm around her, "It's okay, we'll figure this out. We always do. Andy has good eye for things. I'm sure she'll find a spot for us." Brian, Alex, and Justin stood up and they all surrounded Lisa.
Ethan, Mark, and Lauren joined them too. Lisa smiled and shook her head, "Okay, that's enough. I gotta go meet with the magazine and the radio reps. Make sure everything is still on schedule."
"Okay, if you must go." Justin said with mock hurt. They all laughed and the group hug disbanded. She said good night to everyone and Lauren did the same. They left and everyone settled back into their seats.
"Who's going to break the news to Andy?" Mark said with a smile and they all chuckled. Australia started to look a lot better.

"You ready?" Ethan said as they pulled up to the place where everyone was. Lauren smiled at them when she put the car in park.
Andy shook her head, "Uh no! Did you NOT hear what I just told you? And now you suggest I do this song?!"
"Oh come on Andy! Stop being a fucking coward! DO NOT look at me like that! So what if you had a few bad relationships and you're scared! Get over it! Lynn's been good for you. You need to stop trying to find a flaw that you have to push her away. Stop it!
For once Andy let some one take care of you! You always want to take care of everyone. But you need to have some one take care of you. For once Andrea open up and just let everything out." Ethan took in a deep breath and let it out.
Andy looked at him with wide eyes. She couldn't believe her best friend yelled at her. She sat back in her seat when he started to talk and then his voice rose. Lauren was doing the same thing looking at Ethan with a surprised expression.
"Andrea, I love you, you're my best friend, but sometimes you can be kinda dumb when it comes to relationships. I've heard and seen everything. You wear your heart on your sleeve and you get blinded when things start to get bad. When things start get good you start to push away.
But when things start going south, you spend all your time trying to make it better. You don't have to do that anymore. I'm gonna ask you question and I want you to say the first thing that comes into your mind. Close your eyes and just listen to the question."
Andy nodded and closed her eyes. Ethan looked at Lauren and smiled, "Are you in love with Lynn?"
"Yes." Andy said without hesitation. She opened her eyes and looked at Ethan and Lauren. They both looked back at her with smiles on their faces.
"Now come on. Let's get in there and surprise the girl you love." Ethan smiled. He opened his car door and when Andy was about to open hers he slammed it shut.
"What the fuck Ethan?!" She yelled.
But Ethan loudly said, "OH HEY! GUYS! Thought you were here already!" He gave a nervous smile when he saw the four of them come up to him. That's when Lauren whispered to Andy to stay down.
Alex looked at Ethan with a weird look, "Yeah, the interview went on a little longer than we thought."
"You comin'? I'm starving." Brian said.
"Oh for once it's not Alex." Justin laughed and the three guys started to walk into the building. Followed by Mark, Lisa, Terry, Kim, and Cam. Lynn walked up to Ethan just as Lauren was getting out of the car.
"Are you okay?" She asked and Ethan nodded.
"Yeah, just you know, just worried about Andy. She hates spending the night in airports."
"Have you heard from her? I haven't heard anything since she told me she got delayed."
He nodded, "Yeah, she said that she found a hotel close by and she was going to get some sleep. Weird how she didn't tell you. Guess she's just frustrated and didn't want burden you with everything. She does that."
Lynn sighed, "I wish she wouldn't think that." Ethan smiled and put his arm around her.
"Come on, I'll buy you a drink." He started to lead her away and then looked back at Lauren. They both nodded at each other. Lauren watched as they walked into the building. When they were in she opened Andy's door.
"Are you okay?" She asked and Andy was shaking her right hand out.
"Um, I don't know. Ethan kinda smashed my hand when he closed the door. I don't think I'll be able to play."
"Come on, I have an idea. When we go inside go towards the back. Stay out of sight. Ethan and I already talked to the manger. They know you're gonna perform. I know you wanted to surprise all of them, but you need someone to play guitar." They walked in and went their separate ways.
Lauren walked up to the table and whispered in Ethan's ear. He kept his composure and then turned to Alex. He leaned in and whispered in his ear. The three of them excused themselves from the table. Lauren led the two towards the back of the small stage.
"Ethan what's going on?" Alex asked and then he saw Andy and his eyes went wide.
"Andy?" He smiled and walked up to her and gave her a hug. "I thought you got delayed." They pulled away from each other and she smiled.
"I did, but they found me a flight that got me here a little early. But I need your help." She held up her right hand and they could see some swelling and bruising.
"Andy I think it's broken." Lauren said gently touching it and she winced.
"Broken or not, we don't have much time. Alex how fast can you learn this song?" She gave him her phone and he hit play. The song started to play and he listened carefully. He stepped away and started to move his fingers as if he was playing it.
"Andy I'm so sorry. I didn't think I got your hand." Ethan said coming up to her.
"It's okay. I'll get it looked at after. It may be worse, but I really wanna do this now. What you said in the car is all true. I'm a coward when it comes to relationships. I have a string of bad ones and I never see what's in front of me. Until now." She smiled.
"I need to get over this fear, and I think by doing this I will. That night in Kara's office when she slapped me. It opened my eyes to know that some one does care about me. That was the moment I knew I was in love with her, and it scared me. It scared me because how I fall so quickly and that's why this scared me.
I was in love before we were together. I just thought it was the honeymoon phase. But then my feelings became stronger and it was getting to the point where I couldn't bear it anymore. So when I said those words to her without realizing it, that's when I figured out that saying it to her came so natural than any other time. It was like I was meant to say it. Sure it was in a moment, but when Brittany pointed it out I did freak out.
I've always had this feeling if something that I have is going great something bad is going to happen. I still have that feeling. But everything that's been thrown at us so far we've overcome them. I think I stuck with Nicole for so long because I was scared of being alone. I was with Nicole out of obligation. Being with Lynn it doesn't feel like that. It feels right, and it feels natural. I'm in love with her and I'm terrified and that's the beauty of it. It's scary but amazing at the same time. I just hope she feels the same way."
Ethan smiled, "Took you long enough."
"Shut up Ethan." Alex said with a smile and gave Andy her phone back. "I think I got it down. I'll follow your lead. Nice speech by the way and I can tell you that she's in love with you too."
Lauren smiled and gave her a hug, "Alright Ethan and I need to get back out there. We'll say that Alex wanted to check out the guitars or something."
Andy nodded and the two left leaving her with Alex, "How many times are you going to surprise her?"
She shrugged, "Keeps the mystery alive don't you think?" She smiled and he gave her another hug.
"I'm glad you're here."
"Me too."

"Where's Alex?" Brian asked when he saw Ethan and Lauren sit down at the table.
"When I came in I saw a really awesome guitar and wanted him to check it out. So he's talking to the owner of it right now." Lauren said.
"Why did Ethan have to go? You whispered something to him too."
"Thought he would have been interested too." She answered quickly looking at the menu. Everyone looked at each other with confused looks. Everyone but Mark, he hid his smile behind his drink.
They started to talk amongst themselves then their server came by and took their orders. Lynn asked when the open mic started and their server said it would begin in a few minutes. There was one thing they enjoyed it was taking a listen to the local talent. It was a breath of fresh air from the mainstream stuff they would hear on the radio. They did listen to a lot of different types of music and they each always had different projects going on out of the band.
That's how they liked it. Kept them ground with their own music projects. Then when it came time to have writing sessions they all come together and just jam out. Just hoping something would just flow. When they found something they would play with it until it clicked. Then they would take off running.
This overseas tour was a little more sporadic than usual. First Australia, then Japan, then South Korea, back to the States, then a couple of dates in Europe. They all did decide to take Andy and Ethan to Ireland when everything settled down for a bit. Just to have a little mini vacation from everything.
Their server came back with their drinks and Brian asked how many people signed up for the open mic. He said there was only three and one new comer that he's never heard of. Everyone else has performed at least twice before. Brian and Lynn looked at each other and smiled. They loved hearing about new comers. Because they were in that same position once before.
The lights dimmed a little bit and a man in about his early forties came up to the microphone and introduced the first act. Everyone clapped and waited for the music to start.
Backstage Andy and Alex were going through the song. The manager was able to find a guitar for Alex. He quickly tuned it and now here they were running through the song. Andy was really glad she was last. Otherwise they wouldn't have time to do this.
"You okay?" Alex asked.

Andy shook her head, "Nope, this is different. VERY different"
"Why?" He asked checking the guitar.
She sighed, "I think because ever since I heard this song I've been wanting to give to someone and now that I can, it's scary. I've waited like I don't ten or so years to give this song to someone. When Ethan suggested it I was kind of angry because I didn't think it would fit. But after singing it a few times, it fits."
"Andy you're rambling, calm down." He told her standing up and putting his hands on her shoulders.
"You'll be fine, and like I said she loves you. I knew she loved you back in February. We heard you having a nightmare. Ethan was about to come in but we heard her calm you down. You weren't screaming anymore. We peaked in the room and there she was holding you close. You were still shivering but she kept saying that she wasn't going anywhere and that she would never leave you. That's when I knew. I just didn't say anything. Both of you came out of a relationship broken, and now both of you are putting each other back together. Plus you make her happy and that's good enough for me."
Andy hugged him, "Thank you. I won't ever hurt her, and if I ever do, you can punch me." They pulled away and he laughed.
"Well, we'll see about that."
Andy heard her name being called and she nodded. Alex looked at her with a smile, "Come on you got this. I'll go on first and start playing, then it'll be your turn." She nodded and he gave her a pat on her shoulder.
When Alex got up on the small stage he smiled at his friends. They weren't really paying attention and Andy was announced but under a different name. Andy even asked if they could keep the lights off until the first chorus and the manager said yes with a smile.
Alex took the stool and started to play the melody of the song. Everyone at the table stopped talking and turned their attention to the stage. All they could see was Alex's silhouette. Then, some one else came on the stage. Ethan, Lauren, and Mark looked at each other with knowing smiles as they heard Andy start to sing.

Lynn and Brian looked at each other, "They sound REALLY familiar." Brian said to Lynn who nodded in agreement.

Just then the lights came on, shinning on Andy and Alex. She heard a few yells from the table and she just smiled. She let her eyes adjust and found Lynn. She wanted to run over to her and just hold her but she had to let her know how she felt.

Lynn turned to Ethan and started to hit him, "You knew! You asshole!" Ethan laughed trying to protect himself from her hits. Mark went over to her and tried to restrain her.
"Don't be mad, but I helped." He confessed and she looked at him and she started to hit him as well.
"Lauren knew too! She went with me to the airport. Sorry sweetheart, but Mark and I need some heat off of us." Ethan said looking at Lauren. She just laughed as Lynn gave her the middle finger with an angry expression.
"Did Alex know?" Brian asked and they shook their heads.
"Not until we got her. Ethan kinda smashed Andy's hand and it may be broken. That's why he's up there." Lauren explained.
"What the fuck do you mean Ethan smashed her hand?!" Lynn almost yelled.
"We'll talk later. Look she's singing to you." He told her as he was pointing to Andy.

"Which hand was it?" Lisa asked looking over at Ethan.
"Her right," he said quietly and Lynn looked at him with a glare that he swore could have killed him.

Andy was watching the exchanges going on and she saw the look Lynn had just given Ethan. She knew that it wasn't good. It was either about him not telling her that she got in early or about her possible broken hand. Either way, Ethan just done pissed off Lynn again.

The crowd cheered and applauded them. She said thank you to crowd and gave a shout out to Alex for saving her in a pinch. They walked off the stage and over to the table.
Lynn stood up and practically ran to Andy and jumped in her arms. Andy laughed as she picked her up and spun them around a couple of times. She put her down and they gave each other a deep kiss.
They pulled away from each other and Andy smiled, "I have something to tell you."
Lynn smiled and nodded, "I have something to tell you too."
"You go first," Andy said kissing her forehead. Lynn closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. When she opened her eyes she saw Andy's looking back at her. She could see love, and hope, know she knew she was truly in love.
"I love you." She said in almost a whisper.
Without a second thought Andy replied, "I love you." They kissed once again and everyone at the table clapped and cheered for them. Andy wanted to make the moment last longer, but she felt a sharp pain in her hand.
"As much as I want to keep this going. I need to go to the hospital." She showed Lynn her hand and Andy was right, it did get worse. The swelling and bruising on her hand seemed to be getting worse by the second.
Mark jumped up from his seat, "Come on I'll take you. Anyone else wanna join?"
Lynn of course was going to go as well as Ethan. Justin would go and everyone else would stay and bring them food later. They said their byes and helped Andy out of the restaurant.
"Am I ever NOT gonna be broken?" She asked jokingly.
Ethan laughed and shook his head, "I don't think that is EVER gonna happen."

"Hello Sydney!" Andy said taking a picture of the Sydney Opera House.
"Okay, let's get some shots of you three in front of it." She said going over to the trio and directing them where she wanted them to be. She started to snap away. Even with her red cast she was still able to work her camera. But the doctor told her to be careful not to over work her hand. But that didn't stop her from doing this photo shoot with the trio.
When Lisa approached her about it after she got out of the hospital. Andy suggested just doing a tour shoot instead. Taking a few pictures at certain places around Australia. Using the outside lighting would be better than being inside with different lights and set ups. Andy liked using the natural light, instead of the lights in a studio.
Lisa thought about it and said that it would be a little different, and even suggested doing a night shoot. Andy smiled saying that it was her favorite type. Using the moonlight and the mystery of PVIRS. She's done night shoots before, and the pictures came out amazing. She even surprised herself. So tonight after the show they would do a quick shoot and then hit the road.
"Alright, Lynn come forward a little. Brian take two steps to your left. Alex, turn your body to the right just a bit. Okay, perfect. Now Lynn turn your head to the left and look down. Brian put your hand behind your neck, and look down. Alex interlock your fingers and look at the camera." She waited for them to get their looks and smiled, "Perfect." She took a few more pictures and smiled.
"Okay, that's it for this shoot. Can't wait until tonight's. So what's the plan now?" She asked smiling and Lynn came up to her and took her hand. She started to lead her away in a hurry.
"Well, guess I'll go find Justin and see if we could get into some trouble." Brian said smiling when he saw Ethan walking up to them. He patted Alex on his shoulder and started to walk away.
"I never thought in a million years I would here." Ethan said with a smile looking at the Opera House. Alex turned and smiled looking at Ethan.
"I've been here before. Being on tour we go to a lot of places and we return to some every now and then. When we go back to a place it's such a different vibe from the first time. The crowds are bigger than before and the energy is bigger too. There's new faces, and old faces. No matter how many times we go to a place it always feels like a new one."
Ethan smiled and adjusted his sunglasses, "Wanna get a closer look?" He asked and Alex nodded. Alex was trying to calm himself down. This was the moment he was waiting for. He had to tell Ethan how he felt. He kept asking himself what's the worse that could happen? Did Ethan feel the same like Brian kept telling him? Or was Ethan just a flirty type of guy? Either way Alex had to know.
"So I've been meaning to ask you something." Alex said after taking in a deep breath.
"Alright."
"Do you remember New Years Eve?"
Ethan shrugged, "Most of it. I mean I got pretty hammered that night." He said with a small chuckle.
"What do you remember?"
Ethan thought for a moment trying to recall that night. He let out a small laugh and Alex looked at him with a small smile, "What?"
"I remember embarrassing the shit out of Andy. All of you asking her questions. YOU getting really into her telling of her sex fantasy. The fireworks, and," he paused for a moment and behind his sunglasses his eyes went wide.
"Uh, um, did I kiss you?"
Alex smiled and nodded, "Yeah you did. I said that I didn't have anyone to kiss and you just kissed me."
"I'm so sorry. I thought that was all a dream. I'm so, so, so, so, sorry. When I drink a lot I tend to get a little too friendly with guys."
"Ethan, it's okay. Calm down. Come on let's sit down." Alex suggested and he guided him to a bench. They sat down and Alex looked at Ethan. He smiled and took off Ethan's sunglasses so he could really look at him.
He cleared his throat and gathered his thoughts, "Um, I've been trying to figure out a way to tell you this. I've said it in my head over and over again. So I'm just gonna come right out and say it."
"Alex you're scaring me a little bit." Ethan said with a weak smile.
Alex stood up and rubbed his face in his hands and then looked at Ethan, "I have feelings for you and it's scary. I don't know exactly when they started, but I think they started around October. When we came to see you and Andy in Virginia.Then they became stronger when you two came to see us for Christmas."
He sat back down and really looked at Ethan, "This scares me because you're the ONLY guy I'm attracted to and this is all new to me. I didn't really come to terms with it until I talked to Lynn, Brian, and Justin. They helped me realize my feelings and that I should tell you how I feel instead of hiding it." Alex took Ethan's hand in his and both felt a small jolt of electricity.
"Okay, that was a lot to get out." He let out a breath and then looked at Ethan, "How do you feel?"
Ethan sat there for a moment thinking about what Alex had just told him. It was a lot to take in and he couldn't believe what Alex told him. He looked at Alex and without a second thought and he kissed him taking the other man by surprise.
Not too far from them Andy, Lynn, Brian, and Justin were watching the whole thing. Andy was taking pictures of the two of them. Then smiled when she saw them kiss. Now they were clapping and yelling at them. They pulled away from each other and turned to the noise. Both started to turn red and smiled.
They got up and walked over to their friends and everyone hugged the two of them.
"I knew it!" Brian said as he let go of Alex.
"Shut up Brian!" Ethan said and everyone looked at each other.
"Shut up Ethan!" They all said and laughed.
"That sounds better." Andy said with a laugh as she hugged Ethan, "I'm proud of you." She whispered in his ear. They let go of each other and he gave her a wink. He put his arm around Alex who looked at him with pride.
"About fucking time." Lynn said smiling.
"Was wondering how long it was going to take you guys." Andy told them with a smile.
"Now we just gotta find some one for Justin." Ethan said pointing at him.
"I hear Lauren is single." Lynn said and they all started to walk along the pavement.
"Yeah, you two have been spending a lot of time together lately." Brian patted Justin on his back.
"Guys, guys, guys, I appreciate you looking out for me. But I would like things to happen naturally." Justin said as he turned to walk backwards so he could look at his friends.
"So the only single person left is you. I promise we won't treat like a fifth wheel. But while Angel is tucked away in Boston you kinda have Brian for a while." Andy told him just as Justin turned around and he smiled.
"This is very true my friend." Brian tussled Justin's hair. Andy smiled and let go of Lynn's hand. She ran ahead a bit and got her camera ready.
"Okay everyone get in." She waited for everyone to get close and she started to click away at her camera. When she was done she walked back over to them and smiled, "I can't wait until the night shoots. I can't wait for y'all to see these pictures."
"We can't wait to see them either. I'm glad we have you as our photographer. You've taken so many great and amazing photos." Justin told her with a smile.
"Thank you. I've been having the time of my life, thanks to you guys. I never thought I would see places like this. So I owe y'all the thanks."
They continued to talk about the tour and what was going to be next for them. It wasn't long before they reached the car that took them where they were. They still had some time to kill before the show. They wanted to just relax for a bit before and to just hang out for a while.
But Andy couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. She decided to push that feeling away as far as possible. She was having an amazing time and she didn't want anything to ruin this.

"We can't keep this from her!" Alex said to Brian.
"I know, I know. But it just doesn't add up. I mean why would these pictures surface now. Plus look Andy doesn't have her FAITH tattoo. So whoever put these pictures up are trying to ruin what she and Lynn have." Brian looked at his phone again and he went through the pictures. It just didn't make sense to him at all.
"Look at a side by side. She has less tattoos, and it looks like she has more weight than she does now. Plus look her hair is still black. Alex, some one is setting her up! The timing is bad and it just doesn't make any sense. Who ever is trying to do this is not doing a very good job at it." He was showing Alex the pictures of Andy then and Andy now.
"But who would do this? Plus the date doesn't make sense too. These were supposedly taken the week before she left to meet us in Australia. But do you think Lynn knows about this?" Alex asked, and before he could answer there was a knock on their hotel door. Both looking confused Alex went to answer it. When he opened the door Ethan walked right in.
"Please tell me you told her." Ethan looked between the both of them and they shook their heads.
"No, but please tell me that you know where these pictures where taken." Brian looked at Ethan with pleading eyes.
"Oh, I now where they were taken because I took them. This has Nicole written all over it. I mean even the article is wrong. Andy hasn't spoken to Nicole since she tried to talk to Andy on New Years Eve. Even if she did she knows I would smack her upside her head.
This is gonna sound bad, but I know her passcode and when I use her phone I look through it. Nicole is not on her contacts and I was right there when Andy blocked her on all social media.
Everything about this article is a lie and we have to tell Lynn before she gets to Andy. I have a feeling this could get ugly."
They all agreed and made a start for the door. When Brian opened it he saw some one rush by in front of him and his eyes went wide. He saw Lynn's back and by the way she was rushing she found out about the article and the pictures. Alex and Ethan stuck their heads out and watched as Lynn banged on the hotel door next to their room.
"She knows."
"Fuck, we have connecting rooms."
"Shit! She saw us! Close the door!"

Andy opened the door to some one banging on it, "Alright, alright, for fuck sake!" She opened the door and Lynn rushed in. Andy looked out into the hallway and then back at Lynn who was pacing back and forth. She closed the door and slowly walked further into the room.
Just last week they were in the States for a festival in New York. After they finished up Australia, Japan, North Korea, and New York it was time to go to Ireland for a small vacation.
They got in a few days ago and they explored what the could in those few days. So today they just wanted to hang out and relax for a bit. But now Andy was looking at her girlfriend who seemed very, very, very upset.
"What's wrong?"
"I need you to be honest with me." Lynn said trying to control her breathing.
Andy knitted her eyebrows together and nodded, "Okay? Babe, what's going on?"
"I'm gonna read you something, and I want to know if you said these words." She looked at Andy who nodded. She took out her phone and pulled up the article.
"'Yeah, I love her, I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her. I'm glad I found my way back to her. I can't wait to get home from Europe to be with her again.'"
"Wait what? I never said that! Who said I said that?!"
Lynn gave Andy her phone with the article and she started read and scroll through it. She couldn't believe what she was reading. "What the fuck is this?! I've NEVER talk to these people in my life!"
"There's even pictures." Lynn sat down on the bed.
Andy looked at the pictures and shook her head, "Babe these were from six or seven years ago. They're saying this was taken before I left for Australia. Everything is wrong. I don't have the FAITH tattoo in these. I KNOW I don't have the TRAPT, the V, and the Friday the 13th tattoos either. Ethan took these pictures.
Babe, Nicole is doing this to get her fifteen minutes of fame. This is all fake! Nothing in here is true! Nothing!" Andy kneeled in front of Lynn and put Lynn's phone on the bed.
"You have to believe me. There's NO WAY, any of that is true."
Lynn stood up and crossed her arms, "Why is she doing this?"
Andy sighed and stood up, "I don't know. Maybe she can't take the fact that I've moved on and that I'm actually happy for once in my life. She can't stand the fact that I'm in love with you and not her. She's trying to stop everything like she has before."
"Why can't she let you go?"
"I thought she had! She told us she got engaged on New Years Eve. I thought she would have been married by now, but I guess it was called off."
"There's a part in there where she mentioned me in Playboy and how you left me after I did it because I went against your wishes and exposed myself to the world." Lynn's voice started to shake and she didn't want to cry in front of her.
Andy picked up Lynn's phone again and started to read out loud, "'Andy didn't like the fact that Lynn was in Playboy. She's told me time and time again how women like that just want to expose themselves and show off their bodies. She doesn't respect women like that nor would she ever be with some one who would pose for them. She doesn't even watch porn.' Nicole laughed at her last statement. She goes on to say that after the Playboy article Andy left Lynn and went back to Nicole, and now the two seem happy and ready to move on with their lives.'"
Andy put Lynn's phone down on the dresser and clenched her fist. She wanted nothing more than to trash the hotel room to let out her anger. She grabbed her hoodie and was about to walk out.
But Lynn stopped her, "No! You're not running away this time! We're are going to talk about everything! We're not leaving this room until we get out everything we need to get out!"
"Lynn I can't. I don't wanna hurt you. All I wanna do right now is to trash this place and just lose it! Why can't I be happy?! Why do they have to fucking ruin it all the fucking time?!"
She angrily threw her coat against one of the chairs making the chair fall with a loud thud. Lynn looked at her and she finally let the tears fall down her cheek. They weren't going to leave the room until they figured everything out. They weren't going to leave the room until everything they had bottled up finally came out.
They would stay in that room until everything was out on the table. They would stay in that room for as long as it takes.
