CHAPTER 23
The next couple of days on the island were wonderful and gave us both some much needed time to rest. We were swimming in the ocean and using the resort’s gym. I wasn’t much of a health nut and never enjoyed working out much. But working out with Vin was not only healthy, it was fun. The entire time we exercised, he would have me busting a gut laughing. I love being health conscious. Sit ups were my favorite because for everyone I completed I got a yummys. Ts. The rest of the prize came later. I was already seeing results after the two days and I am looking good. We were going out for lunch and dinner tasting the islands food. Which was all very spicy. The last night we went to something similar to a block party. There was a band playing Caribbean music. People lined the streets dancing and laughing. There were tables set up with simple little nic nacs, purses, and clothing. The shop-a-holic in me couldn’t resist. Vin and I joined right in with the people dancing and singing. We were having a great time. Vin attempted teaching me how to Salsa, I sucked at it but it was all in fun. After embracing me a little longer, we decided to try some more Caribbean food. We decided on what we were going to have and I took a seat, while he went to purchase the food. They had a lovely set up here, everyone having dinner outside. As Vin walked away I was approached buy a man who had clearly been drinking. He reeked of liquor. He started up a conversation with me. The people here seemed to be so friendly. The maname ame increasingly overbearing by the minute. I tried to excuse myself from the table but he stalled me. I was angry and becoming more angry buy the minute. I was about to put an Electra smack down on his ass. Just then Vin appeared behind thn. n.
"Something I can help you with," he asked.
"No," the man replied without turning around. "I’ m trying to talk to this stuck little whore right,"
the man continued to say.
"I don’t like the way your disretingting my lady."
"Ohh yeah, what are you going to do about it," the man said turning around to Vin.
When the man turned around his head was at Vin’s chest.
"I could whoop your skinny little ass," Vin said grabbing him up by the collar.
"Man, I have no problem with you. I didn’t know she was your girl."
"That’s cool but I could just put my foot in your ass on principle, you can disrespect a women like that. Disrespect me big man," Vin said shooting me a wink.
"Look man I told you I have no problem with you. I had a little bit too much to drink tonight, I’ m sorry."
"I think you owe that apology to the lady," Vin says dropping the man to the ground.
"Miss Lady, I’ m sorry. I never meant to disrespect you. You guys have a nice night."
The trash ran off as fast as he could. I burst out laughing as Vin takes me into his arms
"Are you okay?"
"I really didn’t need you to step in like that, I can handle myself. But thank you it’s nice to know that I have a man who will whoop ass for me," I say laughing. We both laugh.
"I knew we should have went to the resort restaurant tonight." We both continuing to laugh and head back to the hotel.
