Anyone who thought that the day's adventure ended with the ceremony, had no earthly clue what was to come at the reception. True, the newlyweds had ducked away from the mainstream crowd, only to meet up with them at the reception hall. Laughing as they ducked through the shower of birdseed, the two had managed to safely reach the limo, now together, eyes shining with much happiness. The two lovebirds exchanged a kiss, only to pull back, both laughing.
Ryan smiled, taking Catrianna's left hand with his own left hand, both now displaying wedding bands. "We did it, we're married," he commented, to which Cat nodded, still portraying a true blushing bride. "Surreal, isn't it?" The groom smiled, nodding as he stroked his bride's cheek affectionately. "Very. But we've got a long time to let it sink in." Cat laughed, brushing her lips lightly over Ryan's. "I don't know...Think we've got enough time to let the remote idea of married life sink in?" He laughed, rolling his eyes. "I wonder..." The two would have conversed more, if they hadn't already reached the reception hall.
Catrianna peeked out of the window, and smiled. "Think we should go in? Or should we skip out on this one?" Ryan laughed, shaking his head. "It's too late to elope now." Once the chauffeur opened the door for them, he stepped out, holding a hand to help Cat out. "Ready?" She nodded, taking his hand. "Tally ho!"
Once they entered, Brendon, who had already been on the stage, grabbed the microphone. "I am pleased to tell you all that Mr. and Mrs. George Ryan Ross III have entered the building." Ryan rolled his eyes, shaking his head. Brendon could be such a drama queen at times. Cat laughed, pulling Ryan into a kiss to give an encore performance of the kiss they had done at the alter. As cheers erupted, Ryan and Cat took their bows, settling in their seats.
Just as they were settling down, the song, 'I Want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You' drifted from the stage. Brendon had this voice that really brought a beautiful ambiance throughout the room, especially with such passionate of a song. Though, Ryan seemed to be wearing a bit of a smirk from where he sat. Cat raised a questioning eyebrow towards her husband. "What do you know that I don't?" Ryan blinked innocently. "What makes you think that I know something?" His wife rolled her eyes, cupping his face between her hands as she kissed him lightly on the lips. "Don't I know you well enough?" Ryan had been saved just as Pete had gotten down on one knee.

Immediately, Cat had caught on, as she clapped a hand over her mouth. "Bloody Hell! Ryan is he..?" Ryan nodded, taking her hand with a sheepish grin. "He asked me if I was okay with him proposing during this reception, and I thought you wouldn't mind...You don't do you?" Cat shook her head. "Of course I don't mind... shh I think he's talking now." The entire room went silent, just as Pete, down on his right knee, ring out.
“Ivy Cataluna Reynolds, I have loved you almost from the first moment Rebecca brought you home from school. Though at first it was a mere fleeting love, I know now that the love we have is a lasting love and it would give me no greater pleasure, no greater honor, then to have you be my wife. Ivy, will you marry me?”
Cat felt her stomach twist into knots as she recognized this look of panic to Ivy. "Oh no...Surely she wouldn't decline..." Immediately, Cat had started to chew on her manicured nails, the nails saved by Ryan as he pulled her hand away. "No need to be so nervous Cat, I'm sure all will be okay..."
Apparently, Ryan had spoken too soon as this had been quite the unexpected reaction on Ivy's behalf. “I … I …” Ivy couldn’t speak. She put her hand to her mouth and shook her head, running to the bathroom to be sick. Bride and groom watched in shock, as she had nearly plowed Patrick over before disappearing behind the door of the bathroom. "Ry...Maybe I ought to..." Ryan nodded, placing his hand over hers. "..Talk to her? Yeah, I think that's a great idea. Keep me posted, alright?" Cat nodded, before she got up, scurrying towards the restroom.
Just as Cat had disappeared behind the door, Ryan got up, walking towards where Becca sat, she. too, in some state of shock. "Ryan, I think my brother just proposed...to Ivy." She swallowed, letting the shock settle. "She just left him there...What do I do? I can't choose loyalties between friend and brother." Ryan bit his lower lip, not really good at these touchy situations. "I know Cat just disappeared to talk to her, maybe you ought to do the same, see what's keeping the two..." Rebecca nodded, numbly getting to her feet. Things were just happening so quickly.
She first encountered her brother. "Petey..?" Pete had this shocked look to his face as he rose to his feet. "Becca, save it...It was a mistake-, just forget I even tried." Pete had always been good at masking emotion, though there was tension in his voice, strained cheerfulness could have been a good way to describe it. Becca shook her head. "I don't think that's necessary. I'll be right back to see how we can salvage the rest of this night." She hugged him before scurrying to the bathroom herself, muttering explicatives as this was not the way she had intended Ryan and Cat's reception to be like. If Ivy declined the proposal, the evening's jovial ambiance would be gone. Surely, Ivy didn't want that to happen...
Meanwhile...
Cat had reached the bathroom, pushing the door open to find Ivy crying in the bathroom.
“Ivy? Are you okay, love? You want to talk about it?” She bit her lip apprehensively, not quite sure how to go about consoling her. Perhaps sitting and listening to her talk would be the best route. Her gaze settled on Ivy, waiting for a response.
Ivy wiped away the stream of tears from her face with a shaky hand. Just as she was positive that she could speak without getting sick again, she spoke up. "I blew it, Cat. I had the most romantic proposal of my life, so very un-Pete, and I panicked because I don't do public emotion displays. Kissing and stuff is no problem, but actually admitting love? I don't know if I can do it, Cat." Catrianna's response was perhaps unexpected, as she cupped a hand over her mouth, giggling. "I think being pregnant with his child already surpasses any public display of love Ivy..."
She helped Ivy to her feet, pulling her closer to the mirror and sink, so that she could help clean Ivy's tear-streaked face. Dabbing her face gently with a paper towel, she spoke up again. "Ivy, what exactly comes to mind when you envision Peter?" It was a rhetorical question that would soon reveal its purpose in due time. Ivy's response did seem to connect well with the question Cat had asked.
"I don't know, Cat. I know that I've gotten to where I can't sleep without his arms around me. I love to wake up to the sound of him singing bass cords in the shower. He's everything I've ever wanted in a guy, yet at the same time, nothing my mother wants, which makes me like him even more." A pause. "Oh I don't know what's going on in my head, Cat." Cat broke into a wide smile as she cupped her hands around Ivy's face the way a little girl would cup her hands around a fragile little flower. "I know exactly what's going on in your head. You love him, purely and unconditionally. If I'm not mistaken, this love is like an eternal light that can never be vanquished...Now I go to my next question. Do you see yourself spending the rest of your life with him?"
Silence as a small smile broke out on Ivy's face. "I do, Cat. In some weird way, I don't think I could live without him. But the thought of telling him how I feel in front of all your guests ... How did you tell Ryan you loved him in public the first time, Cat?" Just as Cat opened her mouth to respond, no one other than a peeved Rebecca Wentz burst through the door, eyes narrowed and hands crossed. "IVY CATALUNA REYNOLDS! I HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD EXPLANATION FOR STANDING MY BROTHER UP LIKE THAT! Becca had every reason react like that. Anyone who had seen the look on Peter's face could vouch for that.
Ivy looked up, hearing Becca's dulcet tones. She opened her mouth to speak, but wound up bursting into tears. She had already been wracked with guilt, and Becca's words hadn't helped in the slightest. Cat sighed wearily, knowing that it was best if she spoke on Ivy's behalf. "Beckanne? I think you ought to hear Ivy's end of it all..." She had proceeded to tell all. In the end, Becca's fierce demeanor had slackened some, as she shook her head. "Ivy,,, there's only one option for you. If you truly know Pete, you know that his pride can't suffer another blow like this. If you don't answer now, there will be no other chance. Now, this is a moment of truth, Do you want to marry Pete or not?"
Catrianna had a distinct feeling that Ivy wouldn't be able to answer right away, as tears still threatened to burst forth. She figured she ought to take on her own approach. Unpinning her veil, she walked behind Ivy, pinning the veil on her before turning her to face the mirror. "When Ryan had admitted his love for me? " She paused for a moment, remembering the fond memory. "Okay, in big-time crowds... It was at the airport. When I had flown in, just following my move to Vegas, Ryan had mistakenly trodden upon several cheerleaders in the terminal, I guess for some sort of competition. Becca here had really been a lot of help with crowd control, as I fished through to get him out of the mob. Right as he was freed from their clutches, he kissed me in front of them. I was nervous at first, but then it just felt natural...Like Ryan had been a part of me my entire lifetime." Becca giggled at the memory, remembering it plain as day. "Oh yeah, I never did let Ryan live that one down..."
Cat nodded towards Ivy, motioning her to stare at the mirror. "Now, the question is...Can you see yourself as Peter's bride when you look into the mirror?" Rebecca had fallen silent again, gaze first fixed on Catrianna, before it moved to Ivy. This was the moment of truth that Cat had been hinting at all along. Now it all rested on Ivy's next choice of words.
Ivy stared at the mirror for a moment before taking the veil gently off her head and handing back to Cat. Saying nothing, she walked out of the bathroom, Cat and Becca both in tow, and walked straight to where Pete stood with Patrick and all the members of Panic! at the Disco, in front of everyone. She took a deep breath and tapped Pete on the shoulder, nearly crying again as he looked at her, hurt in his eyes at the sight of her. "Pete, it would give me no greater honor than to be your wife." Tears ran down her cheeks as his hurt went away and he leaned down to kiss her.
Just as Ivy had handed back the veil to Cat, she expertly pinned it on, with Becca's assistance. "Reby, I think we ought to hurry, I think we might miss something if we don't." A faint smile flickered along Becca's lips as she nodded, way ahead of Cat as she dragged her out of the bathroom with her. "Yes, and you shouldn't be shut in a bathroom during your own wedding reception anyways..." she began in her typical lecture demeanor.
Rebecca paused as she caught Cat putting her fingers to her mouth, emitting a loud whistle through the cheering crowd. "Bloody Bitching if I do say so myself!" she exclaimed to which her half of the family gasped at her so-called profanity. "CATRIANNA MARIE!" her mother scolded to which Cat rolled her eyes. A laughing Ryan sneaked behind Cat, scooping her up as he twirled her around, before letting her back gently on her feet, kissing her. He turned to Cat's mother. "Don't worry Jacqueline, she'll be properly disciplined once we get some alone time," he added with a wink, to which there were many cattle calls and jeers. Cat giggled at the horrified look of her mother's and playfully smacked Ryan upside the head. "Shh Ryan! No telling the others our evening plans..."
"Seriously Ry, I don't want to start pucking again," April cut in to which Ivy nodded in agreement. With a roll of his eyes, Ryan led Cat back to the table, so that all could resume their feast. The food had turned out to be quite a success, as there had been no complaints from vegetarians or non-vegetarians. Soon enough, it had been time to cut the cake... Many good pictures were taken of the bride and groom laughing as they smeared frosting all over one-another's faces. It was fortunate that both were cleaned up in no time at all.
Soon..."Alright single men line up! It's that time where I throw the bride's garter!" Ryan eventually announced, able to grab hold of the microphone before Spencer beckoned people to step forward for the event. "Single men, over here!" Gabe pretended to stand up to head towards the crowd, only to get a quick jab from April. "Sit! Stay!" With a laugh, he pulled her into a kiss before looking up. "Sorry ladies, this guy's taken after all." Laughter ensued. William Beckett suddenly called out, smirking in the direction of Panic!'s vocalist and drummer. "That means ALL single guys..." he stated, to which Brendon and Spencer looked horrified. Though, each meekly crept to the back of the crowd, not keen on catching the garment in the slightest. "Alright," Ryan began, standing on a chair, backside towards the cluster of 'single' men. "1...2...3!" The garter sailed in the air. Once the crowd dissipated..."ALRIGHT BILL!" Pete called. All eyes turned towards a meek William Beckett, who had dangled the lacy garment. "Thanks Cat, I'll treasure it," he stated melodramatically, before all burst into laughter.
Next came Catrianna tossing the bouquet. "Unmarried girls, you know where to go!" Becca called, begrudgingly getting into the crowd as well. "Brendon! You should be in this crowd!" Ivy called out, to which Brendon childishly stuck out his tongue. "Thanks, but no thanks. I'm already spoken for." Cat laughed, as Ryan helped her climb on top of the chair so that her backside faced the cluster of women. Her bouquet sailed through the air When..."Holy cow Viv! Maul them all why don't you!" Patrick called, helping his fiance up, as she had fallen on her ass right when Viviana had dived for the bouquet before falling herself. She got up, and primly dusted herself off as she held up the bouquet triumphantly. "Vittoria mio corre! Victory is mine!" she called, first speaking in her family's native tongue. It was here where jeers were made as William approached her, garter adorning his right sleeve. He then dipped her in a passionate kiss. "I guess this is where we announce that as of yesterday, we're officially a couple," Viviana stated, once she had recovered from the magical kiss. Applause ensued.
Soon, the end of the reception had come. Cat had already slipped out of her high heels, as her feet had been screaming after all that dancing. Ryan tapped her on the shoulder before leaning in to whisper in her ear. "Think we ought to depart by now?" he asked, smiling as he stroked a specific spot on the nape of Cat's neck. Cat squealed, shivering. as he had touched that spot. "Yes, I suppose we ought to..." Her voice trailed off just as Ryan had scooped her in his arms. "Mr. and Mrs. George Ryan Ross III have left the building!" he called with a cheery wave. Cat laughed, arms wrapped around her husband as both disappeared into their honeymoon suite to partake in the traditional bride and groom wedding night activities...
