Four months passed as if in a blur. Georgiana had returned to Alderley house to live with her uncle and her mother. Lord Alderley Grant had been so grateful to Colin he had offered him a room and the unenviable task of keeping an eye on his niece. After everything that had happened, he still had the concern that she might return to her wayward ways. This was despite the fact that Georgiana had been a great deal calmer since her release from hospital. The doctors had taken the family aside and warned of problems she might have which ranged from nothing at all to complete memory loss or even paralysis. Thankfully she had escaped with partial memory loss and at first a few problems with her speech which recovered within days when she was back to her usual vocal self. The memory loss only affected certain things, such as locations, names and places which was another reason Colin had been at Alderley. Accompanying her every time she left the house in case she got confused or lost. All memories of her time in the tower had been erased which according to the hospital was probably due to post traumatic stress disorder. Colin had initially been pleased that those memories were gone but was warned that at some point she could have those moments return to her. Her memories of the academy were blurry; she never mentioned the headmaster and her relationship with Colin was etched in her mind as completely platonic. She showed a great deal of affection for him but had no thoughts of anything further. He in return did not mention anything about what had happened between them in case it bought back memories which would be detrimental to her.
“Thank you.” Elizabeth placed a hand on Colin’s shoulder as she came up behind him. He stood thoughtfully, leaning against a tree watching Georgiana as she swam in the lake.“What for?” He answered eventually without even looking at her.
“Giving me the chance to get to know her again. I am so grateful, and I’m so pleased that she has someone like you. I know how much you care for her.” She smiled, dipping her head slightly to the side at the same time.
Colin looked to the ground, kicking the dusty soil with his feet.
“What’s the matter?”
“I care about her more than you can imagine but it kills me Elizabeth, it kills me each day I spend with her and I can’t tell her how I feel or mention anything that happened at that...place. I know the doctors said that she would regain her memory but the way she looks at me, like she adores me as much as I adore her but that little spark of what we had is all gone.” He explained, glancing back over to the lake every so often as he spoke.
Elizabeth smiled to herself, although she had been apart from her daughter for so many years, since they had been reunited it had been like getting to know another piece of herself. If there was something she could vouch on, it was the little glint in her daughter’s eye when she watched her sitting with Colin watching TV. The way she either snuggled in beside him or wrestled him for the remote if she wanted to switch channels. The times that they had dinner guests and Georgiana would spend the entire evening kicking him under the table or whispering in his ear something that would either shock and embarrass him or make him roll up with laughter. Special connections that lay beyond the world of doctors and scientists.
“She will do it, I promise you. One day she will remember what you both had. “She patted his back gently and turned to head back to the house. “If I have learnt one thing about my daughter, it’s that she is the most stubborn, difficult and awkward girl I know but she is also a deep thinker, a very passionate soul. That part of her will come back, I know it!”
Four weeks laterThe sky could not have been bluer that day. Cloudless and like a vast ocean in the sky. The two of them hid away there, laid deep in the long grass at the bottom of the meadow, Colin played idly with her hair as she lay across his lap deep in concentration.
“How many now?”
“Fifteen.” She replied proudly. “I’m making the biggest daisy caterpillar in the world.”
“Sounds like a challenge.”
“Not at all”
“To be fair, the biggest daisy caterpillar in the world is probably some marathon effort by a primary school in some small village. The work of twenty hard working seven year olds. You have no chance!”
“Fuck off!” She retorted, slapping his shoulder. “Single person category. Of course I could nail it. Anyway, I want to go for a walk.”
“Not now, I’m busy.” Colin sighed, here it was, the random shit, the completely out of the blue ideas that she would get to do something that was usually bloody awkward. The doctors said it was part of her brain injury but to be honest, he was pretty sure she had always been that difficult.
“No you’re fucking not! I’ll go on my own.” She furrowed her brow and threw the daisies angrily.
“I don’t think so; you’re not allowed out on your own yet, doctors orders in case you have an absence or a fit.”
Georgiana scowled and was about to make a comment in return but held back as her mother approached.
“Georgiana, I will be leaving to go to the theatre at six, I was hoping you might join me.” Elizabeth asked, flashing a quick smile at Colin.
“I think I might be busy.” Georgiana frowned.
“Nonsense, I will expect you at the doors at six this evening. Wear something nice, I’m sure one your new outfits will be perfect.” She smiled.
As she walked away, Georgiana leaped up and grabbed at Colin’s hand.
“I want to show you something, come on!”
“I think your mother wanted you to...”
“Aw, she’ll be fine. I don’t want to go out anyway, I have this place I used to always go and hide out, and you’ll love it. Please come and see.”
Colin sighed, he was starting to get used to her randomness and completely impulsive actions. In some ways he found it endearing.
Giggling she took his hand; he followed down through the meadow, over rocks, a stream. She skipped down like a gazelle, her feet almost floating over the grass. He stumbled after her, not as light footed.
Eventually she stopped and led him slowly through a clump of weeping willows and into a clearing. Tall trees hid the area from the outside world, hundreds of daffodils and bluebells shot vibrant colours around the centre circle where a tiny stream babbled through, rattling the pebbles gently as it flowed. She danced across to the other side and wrapped herself around a large tree.
“Don’t you think it’s wonderful?”
“Yes it’s lovely!” Colin sighed.” But you really need to head back to the house now, your...”
“I’m not going anywhere!” She turned with folded arms and looked him in the eye obstinately before throwing back her head defiantly and returning to embracing the tree.
“Young lady, you need to listen to me now, your mother is not going to be very happy if you don’t turn up tonight.” Colin said sternly, at once regretting his tone as it was the first time he had used it since leaving the academy. Georgiana froze, her back to him and her arms wrapped around the trunk of the tree, the only movement was the rise and fall of her back as she breathed. He moved in close behind her, standing inches from her, she closed her eyes letting the memories flow back in as swiftly as the nearby stream. He moved slowly closer, his breath warm on her neck.
“Lady Alderley, I do believe you are deliberately ignoring my requests.” She still remained silent apart from a quick intake of breath as he pressed against her, his hand sliding under her skirt and cupping her arse cheek.
“Oh you naughty, naughty girl!” He whispered in her ear, realising that she was not wearing any underwear which only fuelled his desires.
Georgiana pressed her face into the crispy bark of the tree at his sudden touch. Tingles shot up and down her back and straight to her backside, with a flash she was taken back to that moment in his office, the first time he had put her over his knee. How his voice had sounded so much the same, that harsh tone underpinned with a sexy longing that made her wet. His fingers hitched her skirt up against her back, so far that she could feel the cool breeze against her skin. His breath against the skin of her neck was ragged, aroused, making every tiny hair stand on end. He wanted her; he wanted her just as much as when they had been secret lovers at the academy.
“Maybe we should deal with that little behavioural problem that seems to have arisen.” He bought his hand down hard against her arse cheek with a resounding slap. She jumped with a gasp before regaining her grip of the tree, her eyes closed tight as he spanked her twice more. With the last slap his hand slid between her legs, realising how wet she had become. He could feel the response from each touch; she played his game just as well as she always had.
Colin felt a mixture of arousal and relief, his only worry had been that she wasn’t ready and had waited to read her reaction. He hadn’t been disappointed. She gave a low moan that was drenched with the tones of her arousal, leaning her head back against him to feel the soft stubble of his chin against her neck. His fingers stroked up and down her already wet with need pussy. She pressed back against him, groaning and pushing herself up and down, silently begging to feel him. He was already hard and pressing against her, Georgiana groaned in desperation and need.
It was only a few moments before his hardened cock was sliding up and down between her cheeks. Georgiana emitted a small squeak as he entered her urgently, her stomach knotted with her ache for him. She snaked her hand around behind to grip his bum and pull him deeper inside her. The half returned memories became full again, the passion, the energy she had felt for him was in full force. Gripping the branches with a tighter force, she pushed herself against him, showing him how much she had been needing this moment. He withdrew, turned her around to face him, her face reddened with lust, he said nothing, she bit her lip, pulling her teeth back slowly and sucking in her breath. He closed his eyes, pulled her towards him, kissing her deeply as they fell down together in the long grass. She grabbed his hair, compelling him towards her as they rolled about, the cool, sleek blades of grass dancing across their skin.
Pushing her hands up over her head, he pushed back inside her, the soft wet folds instantly making his cock as rock hard as it could be. Her legs rested on his shoulders, strands of his suddenly wayward hair tickling at her feet. She wriggled her toes around, enjoying the soft caress each time he thrust into her. She could feel the intensity building with each moment, her clit was aching and he could feel her tightening around him with each thrust. Oh god she was just the same, how he had missed being this close to her, missed being part of her. She fought playfully against his restraint as her orgasm built and tippled at the edge of flowing over him.
“Fuck! Oh Sir, I think you made me come!” She gasped, her body rising and falling beneath him.
“You don’t have to call me Sir!” He panted as he came deep inside her, holding her close at that moment, inhaling her perfume, that bewitching perfume that had annihilated his senses months ago from that moment they first met in the headmaster’s office.
Georgiana kissed his neck.
“I know.” She gave a cheeky grin and pulled him back down into the grass, the cool breeze of the day blowing above their heads, she entwined herself in his arms so that she felt hidden from the world.
“It took you long enough.” She said eventually.
“What? I thought that went rather quickly for my liking...been a while and I’ve been thinking about...”
“Not that!” She giggled; running a finger playfully down the centre of his chest and feeling him shiver slightly at her touch. “I mean you actually making a move on me, I thought I dropped enough subtle hints.”
“You can’t blame me for that! After everything that happened to you I’ve been cautious, I didn’t know if you were going to remember or if you were going to be traumatised by what happened...there...”
He felt awkward, talking about what had happened in the tower, his assumption of the mental scarring of her torture and abuse was that it would numb her mind to relationships in general. Never mind a relationship that had actually happened at the same place. She had stopped moving as he had said those words, maybe some awful memory had flicked in there, and maybe she was hurting. He had no way of knowing as always. They both remained quiet for several moments which seemed like hours. He lay on his back, his head rested on his crumpled up shirt. She lay with her leg across his and one arm over his chest; her head nestled in his neck.
“I love you Mr Firth” It came out of the blue, he ran a finger under her chin and gently raised her face up to look him in the eye.“I thought we were on first name terms.” He frowned, trying to disguise the smile forming at the corner of his lips.
“Really...I don’t think I remember...” She giggled, closing her eyes to kiss him once again. A warm sense of happiness engulfed her, the first time since she had come home from hospital.
“It wasn’t there at first.” She stated bluntly, breaking away from him and sweeping his hair back with her fingers like an idle hairdresser.
“What on earth are you on about?” He questioned, confused at her random statement.
“The part of my soul that danced. The little piece of me that was wondering why it couldn’t have a party all of a sudden.”
“That is a very strange way of putting it. No, actually it’s a weird way of putting it.” He almost laughed at her
“It’s just how it is. I’m sorry.” She sighed.
“Why are you sorry?”
“Because...” She paused for a moment contemplating how to put her feelings into words. “ It took me so long to remember just how much I love you, but I enjoyed the journey more than the first time.”Enjoying the journey, maybe that was the best way to put it.
A cool breeze blew through the glade. They lay together in the long grass, hidden from the world.“The theatre...” Georgiana shot up from her blissful thoughts like a jack in the box and grabbed for her clothes.
“Does it matter?” Colin sat back smiling at her haste. She stood for a moment, gazing up at the house in the distance and then back at him.
“No not really.” She giggled, throwing them behind her shoulder as she sank back down beside him.
Back at the gates of Alderley house, Elizabeth checked her watch; it was well past six with no sign of her daughter’s arrival. The corners of her mouth grew into a smile as she pulled the large oak door closed behind her.
