"You are such a pimp," Ashley smiled, proudly.
Kelly rolled her eyes, her knee bouncing with anticipation as they sat in the living room in Texas, waiting for Kate's arrival.
"Why is she a pimp?" Jason asked curiously.
"Because she totally got a pretty girl to fly all the way out here all alone...all by herself."
"Aw, I'm so proud," Jason teased. "It's like she's growing up before our very eyes."
"Shut up Jay," Kelly replied.
Jason laughed, "So who's the girl?"
"Kate," Ashley answered.
"Ok, come on, how come you get all the hot ones? It's not fair."
"Yea, well, hands off...she's Kelly's."
"She's not mine..." Kelly replied.
"Yet..." Ashley finished for her. "So any thoughts of what the surprise is gonna be?"
Kelly shrugged, "No clue."
"Surprise?" Jason questioned.
"She texted me earlier this morning saying that she kinda had a surprise."
"Kinda?" Jason raised an eyebrow. "So maybe, it's not like a good surprise? She's still coming, right?"
"Yea, she texted again not too long ago saying the plane had landed and that she was on her way here."
"You didn't go pick her up?"
"No, she said I already did too much with paying for the flight, so she got a Taxi."
"Well, at least you know she's not after you for the money," Jason offered.
"She's not after me at all."
"She flew all the way out from L.A. for like two days, when they were probably just getting settled in from their last trip here. She's after you..."
Kelly jumped up at the sound of a car coming down the driveway, "That's her."
"Get 'em, girl," Ashley grinned.
"Shut up, Ash," Kelly made her way to the front door. "I should help her with her stuff, right? I mean, that doesn't make me seem too desparate does it?"
"Yes, it does," Jason nodded.
"No, it doesn't," Ashley frowned at him. "Don't listen to your idiot brother. You're trying to get a girl...a species that he doesn't even come close to understanding. So, stop second guessing yourself and worrying about how it makes you look. You want to help her with her stuff, then you should definitely help her...I'm sure she'd really appreciate it, as well as find it sweet."
Jason stood.
"Sit down, Romeo," Ashley commanded. "You are not helping her with her stuff, so stay and be quiet."
Jason folded his arms.
Ashley got up, walking to Kelly who had opened the front door to watch the Taxi pull up, "So what's the surprise?"
"Jill's with her..." Kelly squinted, trying to see through the Taxi's window. "Do you think she freaked out about coming here by herself?"
"I doubt Jill would've left Meghan after just getting back to her because of Kate's freaking out."
"Then why..."
"My bet is, Jill was the one freaking out, not thinking Kate was ready to come here alone."
Kelly chewed on the corner of her bottom lip, watching as the door to the Taxi opened.
Kate stepped out, grinning as she caught the short Texan's eye, causing Kelly to freeze.
"Go," Ashley laughed, giving Kelly a slight push. "You know you want to, so go."
Kelly hurried down the front steps, jumping into Kate's arms as she held them out to her, "It's so good to see you."
"You too," Kate hugged her back tightly.
"So..." Ashley smiled as Jill joined her at the front door, watching as the Taxi driver unloaded their luggage from the trunk. "What brings you here to the beautiful state of Texas?"
Jill shook her head, "They are so not ready to be chaperoneless, yet."
"You didn't think I could handle it?" Ashley laughed softly as she watched Kelly and Kate, practically fawning over each other.
"Your girl...she's a sneaky little thing, you know that?"
Ashley chuckled.
"She knew I wouldn't want to leave Meghan..."
"She's got game," Ashley admitted.
"Yea, and if she ever quits second guessing herself...well, I feel sorry for Kate because she won't stand a chance against Kelly...I think the only reason she's been able to keep it innocent this long is because Kelly's holding back," Jill noted, watching as Kate took the shorter girl's face in her hands and pressed her lips against her forehead firmly, holding them there. "That girl is so far gone...if she only knew..."
"I think she knows," Ashley nodded, watching Kelly pause a minute to check Kate out while the backup singer grabbed one of her bags.
"I meant Kate," Jill laughed.
"Me too," Ashley replied before going back into the house.
Jill raised an eyebrow as Kelly held out her hand, offering to take the bag for Kate. Kate shook her head, offering her hand instead. Kelly took it, smiling. Jill cocked her head as she watched her best friend, adjust their hands, lacing their fingers together, her thumb stroking back and forth over Kelly's. She stepped aside as the two walked into the house. "What? You're not gonna offer to take my bag?" she feigned offense.
Kelly shrugged helplessly, showing her their intertwined hands, "She's in charge."
Kate laughed softly, giving her hand a gentle squeeze as they walked into the living room, "So...where am I gonna..."
Kelly took a deep breath before taking the initiative and guiding her to the stairs. "I figure since Jill's here...we'll need a place where it can just be us...you know, incase you want to talk," Kelly explained as she led her into her bedroom.
Kate smiled, "You know, that's a very smart idea."
"I like to think so," Kelly nodded as she hopped onto her bed, watching as Kate set her bag in the corner of the room. "So how was the flight?"
"It was good...I'm so getting spoiled to this first class thing with you."
Kelly smiled, "Well you deserve to be spoiled."
"Jill wasn't too thrilled that she was stuck in coach though, but that's the only open seat they had left..."
"So how'd that work, anyway? I mean, don't get me wrong, I love that she's here and all, but..."
"When she got in this morning, I was packing my bag, and she asked where I was going, so I told her. Next thing I knew, she was waiting in the living room, her stuff all packed, ready to catch the flight," Kate laughed. "Forgive her if she's grumpy...I think she's still hungover..."
"Can't hate a girl for having fun," Kelly smiled.
"You thought I made her come?" Kate asked curiously.
"Yea..."
"Why?"
"I don't know, I just..." she sighed, looking down at her hands that were resting in her lap as Kate stood before her.
"You thought I freaked out about coming here by myself?" Kate asked gently.
"I was gonna say that you were nervous, but yea, that works too," Kelly mumbled.
Kate smiled, her hands resting on the shorter girl's knees, "How many times do I have to tell you? I'm not nervous to be around you."
"Not even a little?"
Her smiled softened, "Let me rephrase that...I'm not uncomfortable around you. I love being around you, and I love hanging out with you...I was excited to be coming back down here, and the fact that I was by myself didn't bother me in the least bit."
"So you are nervous around me..." Kelly looked up at her, the slightest hint of a smirk tugging at her lips.
"I didn't say that," Kate laughed softly, feeling Kelly's hands on her hips.
"So I don't make you nervous?"
Kate shrugged playfully.
"Not even when I do stuff like this?" Kelly asked, laying back, pulling the taller girl on top of her.
Kate gasped, placing her hands on the bed to hold herself up.
"Neat trick, huh?"
"I'd say..."
Kelly giggled as Kate relaxed. She smiled as Kate's warm hand pressed against her cheek, "So I do make you at least a little nervous...I mean, gauging from your reaction."
"You surprised me."
"Laying here like this...this doesn't make you nervous?" Kelly raised an eyebrow.
Kate shook her head, "I'm in control now, am I not?"
Kelly smiled, wrapping her arms around her and flipping them over so that she was on top. She lowered herself down to her elbows, "And what about now? Are you in control now?"
"N-no."
"Still not nervous?"
"I, uh..." Kate's eyes moved back and forth of Kelly's face. "I trust you."
"You trust me? What does that mean? You trust me not to kiss you? Because honestly, I don't even trust myself not to kiss you."
"I trust your judgement...and that you'll do what you think is right..." Kate swallowed hard, Kelly's breath cool on her face.
"And what if I think kissing you is what is right?" Kelly asked, her heart pounding in her chest.
Kate's mouth moved, but nothing came out.
Kelly's head turned quickly at the sound of the door opening, "Hey Jay."
"Hey, um," Jason tried to look anywhere but at the two of them. "Ashley told me to tell y'all that dinner's here."
"Ok, we'll be down in a sec," Kelly nodded, laughing softly as he walked back out, avoiding eye contact as he closed the door.
"Does the girl thing make him uncomfortable?" Kate asked as Kelly turned back to her.
"Not at all...he's never had a problem with it until now."
"Why now?"
"He thinks your hot," Kelly rolled her eyes. "Which I don't see why that would make him uncomfortable, but whatever."
Kate smiled.
"What?"
"A hot girl, laying on a hot girl...most guys get turned on by that..."
"I'm his sister."
"Hence why he didn't look," Kate nodded.
Kelly made a face, "Ew."
Kate giggled, reaching up to brush her bangs out of her eyes.
"So you think I'm hot, huh? That's nice to know..."
"Yea, yea, don't let it go to your head," Kate laughed.
"You know..." Kelly's voice turned serious again. "Even now...like this...you're still the one in control..."
Kate smiled, stroking her cheek affectionately, watching as Kelly's eyes closed under her touch. She leaned up, kissing her cheek softly.
Kelly returned the smile as she pulled back, laying back down, "What do you say we go get something to eat? I'm starving."
"Me too," Kate nodded, watching as Kelly rolled away from her, hopping off the bed.
Kelly held a hand out, helping her down as well, "So...Jason...what do you think?"
"Of?" Kate asked as Kelly led the way out of the room.
"Him thinking you're hot..."
"He's so not my type," Kate shook her head.
"No?"
"Why? Were you worried you had a little competition for my attention?" Kate teased.
"Maybe..."
She smiled, "Well, you don't need to worry."
"No?"
"Not at all," Kate replied honestly.
"Good...I mean, everyone always says I'm the hotter Clarkson anyway, but girls are weird sometimes..." she grinned.
Kate laughed, "I missed your lame sense of humor."
"You love my lame sense of humor."
"I said I missed it, didn't I?" Kate pointed out as she wrapped an arm around her, giving her a gentle squeeze before they walked into the dining room.

Ashley laughed softly when she walked into the living room to find Kate sitting on the sofa, flipping through the channels with Kelly curled up sound asleep as her head rested in the blonde's lap. "I swear you're like her favorite pillow or something."
"Huh?" Kate looked up at Ashley then down at Kelly, smiling softly. "I didn't realize she fell asleep."
"It's weird with you," Ashley nodded, stretching out on the recliner.
"Weird?"
"She's weird with you."
"How so?"
Ashley frowned.
Kate laughed softly, running a gentle hand through Kelly's hair, "You know, Kelly's always been very open about the way she feels about me, so I doubt there's anything that you can add to that that will scare me off."
Ashley's frown deepened as she watched her.
"What?"
"Nothing," she shook her head.
"You sure?"
"Yea."
"So what were you talking about before? She's weird with me?"
Ashley nodded, smiling as Kelly curled into a tighter ball as Kate continued to run her fingers through her hair. The backup singer reached back, grabbing the blanket that was tossed over the back of the sofa and covered the short Texan with it. "We've talked about the many sides of KC before."
"Yea," Kate smiled as Kelly drew in a slow breath, falling into a deeper sleep.
"And how she only shows the people closest to her all those sides."
"Yea."
"I just...I've never seen one person get such polar sides from her."
"You mean the insecurely confident thing?"
Ashley laughed. "Yea, that...and how much you excite her and get her all bubbly and rambly, yet you get her to..." she motioned to how her best friend was now out cold.
"She's had a busy few days with a lot of traveling," Kate shrugged.
"She never sleeps," Ashley shook her head. "Like seriously, I swear the girl's an insomniac. But you calm her down, and whether or not that's intentional on your part, I've never seen someone be able to do that before. She'll keep going, and she'll keep pushing herself until she has nothing left, but you can get her to sit still long enough to rest before she gets to that point. I mean, I'm not saying it's a bad thing by any means...it's just funny seeing as how she was literally jumping up and down with excitement when you got here."
Kate looked down at Kelly curiously, stroking her cheek softly with her thumb.
"Ok, I'm sorry...I have to ask," Ashley shook her head. "I mean, you know I love you, and I think of you as a good friend, but I have to..."
"Have to ask what?" Kate asked, confusedly.
"You said she's told you how she feels, so whatever I say won't scare you off, but why didn't her saying how she feels scare you off in the first place?"
"I don't know, I just...I wasn't just going to leave her high and dry."
"I'm not saying leave her high and dry, I'm saying just take a step back. You know that she likes you, you know she has feelings for you, and you're still like this with her, you're still sharing a bed with her, you're still trying to be alone with her whenever you can so y'all can 'talk'. I just...I don't get it. You're straight. You like guys. If you are her friend, and you really care about her, why are you putting her through this?"
Kate frowned.
"It doesn't make any sense," Ashley shook her head.
"Things aren't as simple as you make them out to be," Kate replied.
"What isn't as simple?"
"I can't...I can't pull away. I can't just not be around her. I mean, maybe that's extremely selfish of me, but I can't be anyway other than how I am with her. I don't know how, and honestly, I don't wanna know how."
Ashley sighed, her eyes falling to her best friend's face as she slept peacefully, "It doesn't mean you're being selfish..."
"Yes it does," Kate's heart sank as she looked down at the Texan in her lap.
"Not necessarily. I mean, it just depends."
"On?"
"The only way it's you being selfish is if you really are as straight as everyone seems to think you are and the only thing you honestly feel for her really is friendship."
Kate swallowed hard, tensing slightly, bracing herself for the threat she was sure she was about to get about not hurting the sleeping singer as Ashley got up, pausing right infront of her. Instead, however, she felt Ashley place a gentle hand on the back of her head as she leaned down, kissing her forehead.
"You're not a selfish person, I know that," Ashley whispered softly.
Kate was caught off guard at the feeling of her eyes stinging.
Ashley kissed the top of her head, squeezing her shoulder, "You're gonna be ok."
Kate watched as Ashley walked away, making her way around the sofa towards the stairs before she looked back down at Kelly who was still sleeping soundly in her lap, feeling the tears start to roll softly down her cheeks.
Jill grabbed Ashley's arm as the makeup artist went to walk up the stairs to the second floor, "What did you just do?"
"Relax," Ashley pulled her arm away. "I just got her thinking about some stuff."
"You made her cry," Jill pointed out harshly, noting the tears on her best friend's face as she turned her to wipe her eyes on her sleeve.
"So? She needs to open her damn eyes and figure her shit out because either way this crazy limbo place they've been in is not fair to Kelly, and you know it."
Jill sighed, watching as Kate brought her other hand up to wipe her eyes, "I know, I just...I didn't want to push her."
"It was a gentle push," Ashley assured. "Kate's my friend too, you know."
"Yea...sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you."
"It's ok."
"She, uh, she's an easy crier...it doesn't take much, so you shouldn't feel bad."
Ashley nodded.
"You think I should go talk to her?" Jill asked.
Ashley shook her head, "Kelly's sleeping--she's stretched out on the sofa, you just can't see her from here."
Jill nodded, "So a gentle push?"
"Just to plant the question in her head."
"But you said earlier that she knows how far gone she is."
"It's easy to blow off the questions when you think it's just you and it's just in your head, but when someone else points it out, it forces you to actually start to deal with it."
"And how do you know this?"
"You have no idea how many gentle pushes it took for us to get Kelly to realize and then even more to get her to admit it."
Jill laughed softly, "It'll probably take just as many for Kate. I love her, but the girl can be seriously clueless sometimes."
Ashley nodded in agreement.
"So, um, we're supporting this? The two of them," Jill nodded towards the sofa.
"Why wouldn't we?"
"What happens if it doesn't work out?" Jill questioned. "Where are Kate and I then?"
"Well, looks like you better make sure it works out then, huh?" Ashley patted her shoulder before making her way up the stairs.
++++++++++
Kelly woke up, stretching. Her nose scrunched in confusion when she realized she was laying on top of Kate on the sofa, her arms wrapped tightly around the blonde's waist as her head rested against her stomach. She felt Kate shift beneath her, and she turned to watch the taller girl wake up.
Kate smiled at her tiredly as she reached out, running her nails lightly across the texan's scalp.
Kelly moaned softly as she stretched again before curling up in a ball, her eyes closing.
"We'd probably be more comfortable in your bed," Kate admitted.
"You're a good pillow," Kelly mumbled.
Kate laughed softly, continuing to run her fingers through her hair, "Come on."
"You keep doing that and I'll fall right back to sleep right here."
Kate giggled as she pulled Kelly up so that she was sitting on her legs.
"Mornin'," Kelly drawled.
"It's only two...it's not morning yet."
"Then why do you insist on waking me up?" she asked, laying back down, her head now resting on Kate's shoulder.
"You woke up first," Kate pointed out.
"Yea, but I had every intention of going right back to bed."
"Then what happened?"
"You started to wake up, and you looked extremely cute doing so."
Kate smiled, wrapping an arm around her.
Kelly pushed herself back up in a double take.
"What?" Kate asked curiously as Kelly's eyes scanned her face.
"You were crying?" Her eyes softened as she traced a finger down her cheek.
"A little," Kate nodded.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing," she shook her head. "I was just talking to Ashley, and she got me to thinking."
"About what?" Kelly sat back on her lap, her hands soothing down Kate's arms.
"Do you think I'm being unfair...to you?"
"To me? What do you mean?"
"By being like this with you...by allowing you to get closer to me...do you think that's unfair of me to do since I know how you feel?"
"Well if it is, then I pray that you keep on being unfair to me."
"Kell..."
"I'm serious," she replied. "Don't let Ash get to you. She's just being her normal protective self."
"So you don't think I'm being selfish?"
"Selfish? You? Come on now, you don't have a selfish bone in your body. You're always looking after everybody else instead of yourself, and the fact that you're worrying about being selfish shows just how unselfish you really are."
Kate gave a small smile.
"I love hanging out with you," her hand smoothed over the blonde's tshirt on her stomach. "And if you wanting to put up with me and hang out with me and keep my crazy ass company makes you selfish, then I couldn't be happier that you're such a crappy person."
Kate giggled at Kelly's grin.
"Seriously," Kelly scratched her stomach softly. "You are so kick ass and such an amazing friend that I would actually be really upset if we started to spend less quality time together...maybe I'm the selfish one," she smiled.
Kate mirrored her smile as Kelly laid back down on top of her, "So I take it we're sleeping here tonight?"
"It gives me an excuse to lay like this with you," Kelly nodded.
Kate laughed softly, kissing her forehead.
"No worries," Kelly whispered, snuggling into her neck. "You worry too much."
"No worries," Kate agreed, wrapping both her arms around her, enjoying how easy it was to hold her in her arms.
++++++++++
"What are you doing?" Kate asked curiously when she walked into Kelly's room to find her digging through
her dresser.
Kelly grinned excitedly, tossing a pair of old mesh shorts and a wife beater at her, "Put that on."
"Ok?" Kate closed the door to the bedroom before taking off her shirt.
Kelly quickly diverted her eyes back to the dresser, pulling out something for herself to wear.
"So what's this about?" Kate questioned, changing into the shorts.
"It poured last night," Kelly explained, turning to her. She paused, her eyes scanning up the backup singer's body.
"What?"
"You would make such a hot lesbian," Kelly shook her head.
"Oh yea?" Kate laughed, looking down at her outfit.
Kelly smiled, "Yea...it's so not fair."
Kate giggled, "So why did I need to change just because it rained?"
"It didn't rain...it poured," Kelly corrected, looking down at the clothes in her hand then back at Kate.
Kate closed her eyes, "Ok, so why did I need to change just because it poured?"
"Because we're going mudding."
"Mudding...what's mudding?"
"Oh...this is gonna be fun," Kelly took Kate's wrist, getting her to open her eyes. "Come on. Jay's already waiting outside."
"Why do I feel like I should be afraid?" Kate asked as Kelly pulled her out the room and down the stairs.
"Do you trust me?" Kelly smiled as she pulled her out the house where there were two jeeps waiting, both of their cloth top's removed.
"Well, it's about time," Jason grinned, standing in one of the jeeps as Jill got settled in the passenger seat.
"Come on, let's get a move on."
"Hey," Kelly tugged on Kate's hand, getting her to look at her. She smiled excitedly, her eyes dancing. "You trust me?"
"Of course," Kate nodded, loving the spark in her eyes.
"Well, then come on," Kelly tugged her towards the empty jeep. She opened the door for her, helping her inside before hurrying around to the driver's side and jumping in. "Put your seatbelt on."
"Is this dangerous?"
"Nah, but I don't want to take that chance with you," Kelly replied.
"Where's Ashley?"
"Ashley? Go mudding? Yea right," Kelly laughed, motioning to Jason who started his jeep. She followed in suit, letting him lead the way out across the property.
"Oh wow..." Kate's eyes widened when they finally came to a stop. "This is the pond?"
Kelly shook her head, "No, this is just the lowest part of the property. Everything drains down here, so when it pours...this happens."
"How deep is the water?"
"A couple feet...about..."
"About?"
Kelly grinned.
"We're gonna be driving through that?"
"Yep."
"What about all the mud before we even get to the water?"
"That's why it's called mudding."
Kate looked out at the land before them that was submerged in water from the rainstorm the night before.
She bit her bottom lip before turning back to the Texan, "You should put your seatbelt on too."
"Yea," Kelly laughed softly, buckling her seatbelt. "Nervous?"
"Nah..." Kate replied sarcastically.
Kelly smiled, taking her hand. She brought it to her lips, kissing the back of it, "It's gonna be fun...trust me."
Kate nodded.
Kelly turned to Jason who had parked right on the side of them.
He nodded excitedly.
Kelly pressed the gas pedal, and Kate reached forward, bracing herself against the dashboard.
"Shit!" she cursed, feeling the tires spin out in the mud before the jeep lunged forward through the water.
++++++++
"Oh my God, this is so much fun!" Kate exclaimed as Kelly turned the jeep quickly, spraying mud everywhere.
"You are so gross," Kelly laughed, driving across the miniature lake, stopping in the middle of it. She reached across the seat, pulling a large chunk of mud from Kate's hair.
Kate giggled, smearing the mud across Kelly's cheek, "You aren't much better."
"Oh whatever, I'm still hot," she replied, undoing her seatbelt before unbuckling Kate's as well.
"Why'd we stop?" Kate turned her body so that she was facing her
Kelly shrugged, getting out of her seat and hopping onto Kate's lap.
"Hey," Kate smiled.
"Hey," Kelly replied, straddling her legs. "You know...even covered in mud, you are ridiculously beautiful."
Kate could feel herself blushing.
"Aw, not fair," Kelly wiped the mud from Kate's cheeks. "I can't see you blushing."
Kate laughed, "Good."
"But you look so cute when you blush," Kelly pointed out, glancing over Kate's shoulder. Jason had parked his jeep on the edge of the water and he and Jill were now walking towards them as quietly as they could.
She smiled at Kate, "So how turned on are you right now, seeing my covered in mud like this?"
"Oh, I mean...I just can't take it..." Kate grinned. "I mean, it's taking all I have not to just jump you right here."
"Oh yea?" Kelly placed her hands on the door behind Kate, leaning to her.
"Ye-yea," Kate held her breath as Kelly pressed herself against her.
"You know..." Kelly placed her lips next to the blonde's ear as her hand found the door handle. She felt Kate's hands on her hips. "I think you need to cool off a little bit..." She glanced up to find Jason and Jill standing there, smiling. "A nice cool bath...maybe if you're lucky, I might even join you..." she breathed against Kate's ear before pulling on the door handle, pushing the door to the jeep open, causing Kate to fall back.
Jason and Jill immediately caught her, pulling her into the water.
Kelly laughed, kneeling on the seat in the jeep, watching as Kate sputtered, standing up in the muddy water.
"Oh you're so dead," Kate shook her head.
"What did I do?" Kelly smiled innocently as Jason and Jill laughed. "I was just helping you cool off."
"You're dead," Kate nodded, walking back towards the jeep.
Kelly stood on the seat, grinning mischievously.
"Whoa," Kate paused. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing..."
"Kelly..."
"Yes?"
"Don't you dare," Kate laughed, shrieking as Kelly jumped out of the jeep, tackling her back into the water.
"Oh man..." she shook her head, pushing herself back up to her knees, helping Kelly up as well. "I think I just swallowed a gallon of water."
"Ew..." Kelly scrunched her nose, her hands on Kate's arms as the backup singer held onto her waist. "Close your mouth next time, nerd."
"Next time? And how many times should I plan on you tackling me like that?"
"Hmm..." Kelly licked her lips, making a face as she spit out the mud.
Kate laughed, "Smooth."
"And sexy right?"
"Totally."
"That's what I was going for," Kelly nodded.
Kate giggled, pulling her closer, placing a muddy kiss on her forehead. "So you tackling me..."
"Expect that to happen a lot," Kelly wiggled her eyebrows playfully before wrapping her arms around her neck, pulling her back under the water with her.
Jill laughed as Jason shook his head, sighing as Kelly and Kate continued to wrestle in the muddy water,
"Not as hot when it's your sister, huh?"
"It's just not fair that I can't enjoy this like any other guy would be able to," he shook his head.
+++++++++
"Whoa there girlie," Kelly laughed as Kate jumped out of the jeep, heading towards the front door. Jason and Jill had made their way back in a few minutes before. "You can't go in like that. Jason would shit."
"Don't you mean Ashley?"
"Jay is totally OCD when it comes to the house being clean," she shook her head, jumping out of the jeep as well. She waved Kate over to the hose on the side of the house. She turned the water on, holding the end of the hose up.
Kate eyed it wearily, "Is it cold?"
"It's hose water, of course it's cold," Kelly smiled. "Now come see."
Kate walked over to her cautiously, jumping when the cold water hit her feet.
"Come on," Kelly laughed, reaching out and taking her hand. "Bend over."
Kate did as she was told, squeezing Kelly's hand tightly as the cold water poured over her head, getting the mud out of her hair.
Kelly giggled as Kate's hand clenched onto her own. She motioned for her to stand up straight so she could hose off the rest of her body and her clothes. "See..." she smiled, moving the hose off of her. "All better."
"I'm soaked," Kate laughed.
"And wearing a pink bra," Kelly quickly looked away, bending over to wash the mud out of her own hair. "Should've known..." she gave a nervous laugh.
Kate smiled, taking the hose from her, running her fingers through her hair to help get the mud out.
"Thanks..." Kelly smiled as she stood up straight.
Kate nodded, handing her back the hose so she could rinse the rest of herself off.
"Ok...that's good enough," Kelly tossed the hose down, turning off the water. She wrung the water out of her
shirt, watching as Kate did the same to her shorts. "Ready to go in?"
"Yea," she agreed. "This was a lot of fun."
"Told you so," Kelly grinned.
"I may have to come visit you down here more often..."
"Yea?" Kelly looked at her.
"Yea, I mean, that is, if you want me to...I totally didn't mean to just invite myself over," Kate laughed.
"No, you're good," Kelly assured, chewing on the corner of her lip to keep from smiling too broadly. "And yea, you're welcome to come back here with us anytime. I mean, it's not like we don't have the room or anything...and I guess you're cool and fun to hang out with too."
"You guess?" Kate smiled.
Kelly giggled as Kate poked her side before wrapping her arm around her, leading her into the house.
"You're such a dork," Kate laughed, kissing the top of her head.

This abuse control system is run in accordance with the strict guidelines specified above.
