“Miss can you hear me? If you can please open your eyes.”
Nerissa slowly opened her eyes and was blinded by a bright light in her eyes.
She went to move her head. She could not move.
“what’s going on? What happned? Who are you?” she said frantically.
“Miss you were shot We are taking you to the hospital.”

Her eyes got wide. ‘chase. Gerard!’
“where are my friends? Are they ok? Where are they?” she questioned.
The medic laughed
“ you know we should be the ones asking you questions. I can see your all right if your this alert but we still have to take you to get the bullet removed and get you stitched up.”
Nerissa nodded the best she could.

Nerissa hated Hospitals, ever since her dad died she had hated them.
‘ Now here you sit getting your arm sewed up. God I feel like a rag doll.’ She thought to herself.
“there you go all done” the Dr said perkily. She glared at him in her mind.
“Thank you” she said as she got off the table.
She walked out into the waiting room and Chase ran up and hugged her.
“it was Jamie it had to be. She thinks I am madly in love with you and that is why I came here. But I know you and Gerard are engaged.” He said in her ear
She nodded and hugged back.
She pulled away and looked at Gerard.
“well that was one hell of a graduation present huh” she said with a smile. He laughed Leave it to her to crack a joke.
“When is graduation?” Chase asked
“tomorrow” Gerard said
“I’m valedictorian.” She said Perkily.
Chase smiled.
He always knew she could do it.

The next day~~~~~
She was nervous from the moment they called her give her speech.
Now she was standing at the podium.
“Fellow Graduates, Friends and Family. I welcome you.
This year has been one hell of one.
Let me start my saying My life is filled with inspiration and Hope. And I personally want to dedicate my Accomplishments to the ones that could not be here to see this moment.
My father and My Brother Jack. I know they are still with me and they are watching me right now saying “ that’s my girl”
Today we gather to so you can watch your Children and Grandchildren Graduate from High School. Really we all know it is just the beginning of something much bigger……it is the beginning of Life. My life is filled with a number of things but a few people stick out.
My mother. She has been my Rock. My guide post and my Idol for a long time. She is Strong, Kind, Loving, Understanding and a huge kid at heart, and has taught me who to live life the fun way and be serious when I need to be.
My father, Who was Tragically lost. My father was a good man who gave me Faith, Hope and not to mention my great hair.”
The crowd laughed
“My brother Jack. He may have been gay but he was the smartest Homo you would ever meet. He was fun loving caring and all and all a good guy.
Now many of you are looking at me thinking I am bragging about how great my family is when really the message I am trying to get across is that even thought they are not physically with us they and the things they taught us will live on forever. Today we make a step that changes us forever but the lessons we have learned getting to this point are ones we will never forget.
To the graduating Class of 2005 I say, Live life to the fullest, live long healthy and wise! Thank you and I wish you the best for the future.”

She sat back in her seat.

About 20 minutes later they called her name to come get her diploma.
She took it and found her mom in the crowd and stuck her tongue out at her and her mom did the same.

“Ladies and Gentleman I give you the Graduating Class of 2005!” the princeapal said into the mic.
Gerard, Kelsey, Aries, Nerissa, Mikey, Frank, Bob, Kendra, and nene and all threw their caps and went to find their families.

Gerard Wrapped his arm around Nerissa and she smiled at him.
“this is gonna be interesting” he said smiling
