Upon arriving at home, Gerard collapsed on the couch and fell asleep. It had been an awful flight, several attacks of turbulence and a few screaming children in the seats behind them. Jade had managed to sleep through it all, and partially avoid jetlag, but it hit Gerard hard. Smiling, Jade moved their bags to the bedroom and pulled their snuggle blanket out of one of them, draping it along Gerard.

An hour or so later she had unpacked their suitcases and thrown some clothes in the wash, the rest she had in a bag ready to be dry cleaned. Seated at the kitchen she made herself a coffee and began writing a letter to her mother, ashamed that she had barely corresponded since the confrontation. She had however forwarded a few gifts for her at Christmas, sending them to the home address, but she couldn’t be sure she had received them. Biting her bottom lip, she wrote all that had happened to her these past few weeks from her small part in Gerard’s new film, to the love his mother had bestowed upon her over the festive season. Lastly she wrote of their decision to wed. Praying her mother would understand she wouldn’t live in her past any longer. It was time to move on and live in the now. Her now was Gerard. Sealing the letter, she downed the rest of her coffee and grabbed her bag. Checking in on Gerard he had shifted to the side and was snoring softly with his tongue hanging out of his mouth.
’Is it odd that I find that cute?’ she asked herself, finally grabbing the bag of unwashed clothes and heading to the dry cleaners. She had called Jake earlier and he ran to meet her at a local coffee shop. After she dropped off her washing she posted her letter and sat waiting for him, smiling as he bounced into the shop and hugged her.
”I’ve missed you so much Jade” he mourned, “Living with Tom is very different from living with you”
”You mean all the hot sex?” Jade laughed.
”There’s that, but I miss you for you. So tell me everything how is everything? How is Ger?” Jake’s eyes fell on Jades hand and saw the claddagh ring. He opened his mouth to say something but gave up. “Is that what I think it is?”
”Gerard got it from mum. He proposed. I said yes”
Jake hugged her tightly, “He’s perfect for you. I’m glad you’re finally moving on” Jade saw his eyes watering, “I’m so sorry for everything Jade”.
”Don’t be silly” she shrugged him off, “We didn’t ask for it, plus if I had to be married to anyone I am glad it was you”. Jake grinned at her.
”Of course me and Ger would be a better couple than you two, and technically I did see him first, as the phantom and that…”
”Shut up” Jade laughed, punching him on the arm. “I have shopping to do are you coming or not?”
Jake accompanied Jade all around the shops, until she had enough food to stock Gerard’s huge American fridge. Grabbing his favourite ice cream as a treat, and some bagels. Feeling nicer than usual she even picked up 20 Marlboros for him. Walking toward the flat, she saw a huge poster advertising Gerard’s new film with him being sold as its big named star. Stopping and staring, Jade grinned at it. It was nice to see him getting some recognition, and he did look very sexy on that poster. A flash of light stopped her in her tracks and she saw a photographer taking her picture. “What are you doing that for?” she asked, genuinely confused as to why he would want a picture of her and Jake.
”Your Gerard Butler’s girl are you not? I would recognise you anywhere. Plus you starred in his new film, or so I heard on the grapevine so a picture of you or him, or you and him sells papers missy”
Jade just stared at him, until Jake walked in front of her, “Get lost, go and hassle someone else, cant she shop in peace?”
”Not while she is with him” the reported cackled, getting a few more shots then walking away.
”That’s it I’m dumping him” Jade laughed, “He cant interfere with my shopping”
”As if” Jake laughed, “But seriously you two are in high demand, you’ve been in the papers and on TV these past few weeks. I saw you at the premiere of Red Eye. You looked great together.” As they strolled along home Jake hinted for a cup of tea. Once seated in the kitchen he looked about, he could see Jades touches around the flat, but couldn’t see Gerard.
”Is he working?” he asked, sipping his tea.
”No I left him on the couch, I’ll go see if he is awake”
Jade tip toed into the living room, and stared at the empty sofa, she saw a shirt lying randomly on the floor and recognised it as the one he had been wearing. Following that she found trousers, all sorts were running through her mind by now. Had he been stripped and stolen by crazy lust filled fans? had he disappeared?, had he shrunk? Jade walked into the bedroom and smiled, his underpants lay on the floor, it seemed he had only just made it to the bed and crashed out again.
Lifting the covers further up over him, she ran her fingers through his hair and smiled down at his sleeping frame. She couldn’t imagine life without him anymore.
Gerard opened one eye and smiled at her.
”Where have you been?” he asked, his voice thick and heavy with sleep. “I woke up and it was hot, I forgot how hot it is here.” Rolling on his back, he tried to pull her toward him, but she pulled back.
”I can’t stay, Jakes in the kitchen, I was just wondering where you had gotten to?”
Jade laughed as he pouted and held out his arms, she could never resist that puppy pout, and fell into his hug, kissing him.
”Stay with me, sleep.” He begged.
”I cant I invited Jake back, get up an come see him then we can have an early night if you want? I’ll cook.”
Gerard smiled, “10 minutes?” rolling on to his side, he closed his eyes and tried to relax, but Jade poked him in the sides making him giggle until he finally agreed to rise.

Curled on the sofa, after their dinner, Jade laughed about the reported incident later that night, but Gerard frowned. “Well I figured it would start to happen. I didn’t think they would hassle you so soon though. Bastards”
Jade stroked his arm, “Don’t worry about it, I can handle them. Like I handle you!”
”If you blackmail any of them with sex I will be very mad Jade” he grinned and slapped her leg. “Right, time to move. I want sleep. You promised me an early night,” Jade moaned, as he shifted her weight of his chest and pulled her to her feet. Flicking off the TV and the lights he walked her toward the bedroom.
”Get undressed” he demanded, “Then cuddle me to sleep”; throwing off his clothes he climbed under the duvet and sighed with relief as his head hit the pillow. Jade did as she was bid, but threw her bra over his face.
”Bad Jade” he scolded, “Gerry is sleepy.”
”Me bad” Jade laughed, walking to the bottom of the bed and slipping under the covers, climbing over his feet and blowing softly up his legs. He squirmed with delight, as she kissed his penis then up his chest and finally rested her lips and chest on his. Gerard lifted his hands and ran them through her hair, tracing his fingers down her neck and down her spine. Jade tingled with joy as he moved his hands back up, but let out a cry as he pushed her on her side and curled his body around her. She rolled his eyes as he nuzzled into her neck, he always did that when he was sleepy, usually it was cute, but right now she was horny. Twisting her body, she turned to face him, Gerard shifted to hug her, and shoved one of his legs between hers, pulling her closer to him. It was another habit he did when he was really tired. Jade smiled at how cute and lovable he really was, and then trailed her hand down his body, until she cupped his balls. His groan reached her ears, and he breathed in sharply as she began massaging him slowly. Jade edged her face closer to his and licked his lips slowly, so as to tempt him. Gerard tried to resist but gave up, and leant forward to kiss her, rolling her on her back. Jade moved her hands up to his penis and aroused him further, he stared down at her, twirling her hair in his fingers as it lay across the pillow. Closing his eyes he breathed heavily, and rested his head on her collarbone, he felt so relaxed and sleepy. But he didn’t want her to stop. Running his hand down her body, he kissed her neck timidly, and then slipped his hand between her legs. Jade gasped, and quickened her hand, as he teased her mercilessly. Eventually he could stand it no longer, slapping her hand away he kissed her hard and then thrust into her. Jade sighed with pleasure as he filled her. Arching her back she eased him in deeper and moved her hips from side to side. Gerard smiled, and held her just above the small of her back; rising to his knees he lifted her with him. Jade rose higher and threw her arms around his neck, lifting her self up and down grinding against his penis. Gerard cried out in pleasure, this was a new position, and although it was killing his thighs he held her steady. Jade rode him faster and faster, crying out his name with each descent.
”Fall back” she demanded, Gerard didn’t argue and fell forwards, slamming her onto the bed. “Work it” she demanded. Gripping his back, as he thrust into her harder and harder, Jades head thudded against the headboard but she didn’t care. Staring into his eyes, she saw love reflected back in them. Tears welled in her eyes, she imagined two stars had clashed and Gerard was created. He might be a mere human on this earth but those stars shone through his eyes they felt like beams tearing her soul, he lifted her head and kissed her softly. Her wave hit her, and her orgams made her tremble, Gerards followed suit.
Lying with him, she pulled at him until he turned to face her, lacing her leg between his, she pulled him closer to him and nuzzled into his neck. Inhaling his scent she fell into a long sleep, and dreamt of stars and moons.

Doug called Gerard a few days later and told Gerard the time and place of the photoshoot. Jade witnessed Gerard feeling nervous and smiled.
”Don’t worry about it, its like any other photoshoot Ger just smile and be you”
Gerard frowned at her, “No this time I have to be oiled and sexy”
”Your always sexy” draping her arms around him him she massaged his shoulders slowly. Gerard lay one hand on hers and rolled his head round, enjoying his massage. “I don’t know how to be sexy? Not really. I like to play around, but this is my having to be sexy in order to sell this calandar.”
”Its for a very good cause, im very proud of you”
”I’ll look stupid” he grumbled, pouting up at her. Jade leant over and flicked his bottom lip.
”You will look eadible, plus other stars are doing it…… turn that frown upside down”
”If you ever say that to me I’ll put you across my knee” he snarled. Jade laughed “Promises promises. Right come on I have stuff to do and you have to go be sexy. I’ll meet you outside Denver street is it? Yes. I’ll meet you there in 3 hours, with a lollipop if you have behaved”
Gerard smiled and kissed her cheek. “You always cheer me up” licking her face he ran off quickly.
”Argh” Jade screamed, “That’s gross” wiping her cheek she stuck her tongue out at him as she dived in his car and drove off.

Gerard relaxed immediately when he arrived, he was introduced to Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell. Ewan McGregor embraced him like an old friend and he had a good laugh with Brad Pitt. A few other high named stars were involved but they were to be shot on other days. Staring around at the A list room, Gerard felt a sense of achievement that he was counted among them. Like he had made it.
He found himself oiled, and placed in a bath which was filled with bubbles. The set was surrounded with dry ice, and he relaxed into the warm water, allowing woman to pour water over him, while the photographer snapped away.
An hour or so later he was less than impressed, the water wasn’t as warm as when they had started and the photographer still hadnt finished. A second shot was taken of him standing with a towel around his waist and nothing more. After to shot he was led out, walking through the studio he saw Johnny Depp in a firemans outfit holding a baby, and passed Christian Bale in a pair of boxers with a puppy. They shook hands and laughed, this shoot was cheesy but it would make money.
Led to a room, gerard signed contracts for all the profits to go to a charity of his choice, he chose a breast cancer research charity, and helped write a short synopsis about his career which would feature on his month. Walking around the studio he spotted a familiar figure holding a lollipop and ran to kiss her.
Jade smiled as Gerard introduced her to Christian and Johnny, but she felt a little starstruck. She had droooled over Johnny Depp in ‘Pirates of the Carribean’ and now he was stood shaking her hand and asking if he deserved a lollipop as well.
Jade was laughing an enjoying herself when a man approached her. It was Wes Craven, an old friend of Gerards. Shaking her warmly by the hand, he laughed and spoke of Gerards antics on the set of Dracula. Then he got straight to his point, he had heard on the grapevine that her perfromance in Gerard’s latest flick had been noticed. With her good looks and style, he wanted her to play a role in his new film. Jade stared at him, unable to take in what he was saying, one of her favourite directors was asking her to star in his production. It didnt take much deciding.
”I would love too” she laughed, and hugged him, “oh god sorry I didn’t mean to .. hug you its just I was excited”
”That’s ok” laughed Wes, “Im afraid this is short notice, I’ll be honest you werent my first choice, until the director of the film called me and mentioned you. With my other actress ill I decided I would call upon you. We start filming in 3 weeks in LA, can you be there?”
”Sure” Jade nodded, turning to look for Gerard. “I’ll have to tell him, wait there”
Gerard listened to Jades tale and smiled, she seemed so happy, who was he to tell her he would love to stop her doing it. Who was he to say ‘please god don’t leave me’. The truth was he left for a tour of europe in 2 weeks to promote this film, and he had been hoping she would come with him. Inside he deflated, realising he wouldn’t see her for a month at least, that’s if she deicded to follow him out at all. But so as not to hurt her he smiled, and gulped back the lump in his throat.
”That’s great” he uttered, “Truly great”

Holding her later that night he felt sad. It was a stupid feeling, as if he were going to lose her forever, but he couldn’t bear not seeing her for a day, let alone a month. He watched the drapes blow in the warm New York air, and listened to the cars drive by. New York came alive at night but there was no where he would rather be then here with her.
”Jade” he whispered. Twirling her hair in his fingers. “I have a problem.”
”You have several” Jade muttered still half asleep, “But don’t worry with beatings and therapy I’ll fix them”
”I’m serious.”
Jade opened her eyes and turned round to face him, “Whats wrong? Why do you look so sad?” Sitting up, she looked down at him, and held his stare as he sat up beside her.
”I leave for this tour for the film in 2 weeks. You need to be in L.A in 3 weeks and you will be on set for a few weeks as well.”
Jade’s face dropped, as the reality of what she had agreed to do sank in, “oh god, I didn’t even think.” Jade shook her head, “How can I say I cant do it?”
”Your not doing that, you want to do it, I want you to do it. I just wanted to be here when you did that’s all.”
”No Ger that means we wont see each other for weeks, I cant do that.”
”hey” Gerard out an arm aoround her, trying to comfort himself as well as her. “It wont be so bad, we can call and write and do whatever, and its only for a few weeks. We wont die without each other”
”Speak for yourself” Jade whined. “I cant go to L.A alone anyway. All that liqueor and jazz, I will be corrupted”
”Jade you will corrupt that place first. Look it will be ok. Fate has dealt its cards and we have to work around them ok?”
”I will fly to you when im done. The minute im done”
”You better” he sighed and hugged her, pulling her down to the bed. She lay aginst his chest stroking his hair, he lay on his back staring at the ceiling feeling her heart beat agianst his chest. Neither wanted to sleep, but neither had anything more to say.

Two weeks later, Jade wept bitterly as she saw Gerard to the airport, holding him tightly she couldn’t believe this was goodbye.
”Argh I’m going to miss you so much” she sobbed, hugging him. Gerard was trying not to say anything, he feared if he opened his mouth the sound of his heart ripping in two would be heard by all around them. Instead he cupped her face in his hands and kissed away her tears.
”I’ll see you in a few weeks” he whispered. “God knows what I will do until then”
The speaker on the ceiling called for Gerard to board his plane, and he held her tighter.
”I packed you some colouring books” Jade whispered, and smiled when Gerard laughed.
”Goodbye my pixie” he said, kissing her one last time before he turned to the walkway. Jade stood watching him walk awa with a bag on his shoulder, when he turned to look at her she smiled and blew him a kiss. Then turned and walked away, she had to leave before she fell. Stepping outside she looked across the car park and saw Jake waving madly for her to get in the car.

Once seated Gerard was in two minds whether to get off and stuff the promotion. But he knew he would be slated if he did that, he had always said he wouldn’t let love get in the way of his work, right now he wanted to quit the business and grow old in a house far away from anything but her.
Reaching into his bag, he smiled as he pulled out a tiny teddy bear. It had a small heart stitched on its chest, and he clenched it in his fist. Staring out the window he sighed as the plane took off.
