Monday night was freezing! The very air itself would have been a gigantic ice-block if the air were made of water. The winter season had well and truly set in considerably earlier this year - it was only the middle of November! The girls had made sure they were all properly rugged up this time and not like last week when they'd only dressed to impress. At least now they were warm but still stylish - Ai were her stretch dark blue jeans, a cream turtle-neck sweater, a thick white thigh length jacket with fake-fur lining and knee-high black boots. Megumi wore a shin-length black skirt, white figure-hugging long sleeve shirt, a black blazer over that, matching black gloves and black boots. Kikyo had a simple pair of tight black jeans, her favourite red sweater, also a black blazer like Megumi and black snow boots with fake-fur trim along the top. Mika wore her light blue flared jeans, a black turtle-neck skivvy, her large white hoodie she'd worn to the concert and black and red checker converses. Kira opted for flared black pants, a royal blue figure-hugging long sleeve shirt, a thick cream hip length jacket over that and black boots as well.

With work for the day over, they were now all relaxing at Kira's place in the living room and enjoying the heating while sipping hot chocolate. It was still fairly early - just past seven thirty to be exact - and Kira had her lap-top set up on the coffee table, open and waiting on the Live Cast website. They were all wondering what the guys would be doing at that moment. Still filming? Though it had been just over a week and chances are the filming was done, but the editing still had to be done. At least they weren't filming a movie ... So with still an hour and a half to go until Kai came on, the girls passed their time by exchanging their favourite memories of when each of them first started liking the Gazette.

"So I've got one~! What is the first moment you became curious about the band? Mine was the first time I heard 'Wakaremichi' but they were with the 'Matina' record label then".

Ai started but was cut off by a short gasp from Kira.

"Oh oh oh~! I know this sounds rather odd but one of their first videos with PS Company, 'Zetsu'~! Reita-kun looks so cool in that video, don't you think?!"

Ai, Megumi, Kikyo and Mika were kind of scared by Kira's sudden outburst at a fact they already knew - that Kira thought Reita was cool - but it was still a great video. Megumi thought carefully while she cradled the mug in her lap, with Kikyo and Ai either side of her. Mika and Kira had the chairs.

"I admit I heard about them when Yune was still the drummer and thought they were pretty good, but it wasn't until Kai-san replaced him then I really started to like them ..."

The other girls smiled around to each other as Megumi stared into the chocolate liquid as she sipped it - Megumi was heavily crushing on Kai now, it was so cute. Kikyo brought her slipper-covered feet up onto the sofa beside her and held the mug to her mouth so she could blow on the chocolate to cool it down.

"I originally was already a fan of Miyavi-sama, and seeing he was already with PS Company before Gazette signed with them, I just kind of kept track. Not as a fan straight away but I just kept an eye on them ... they eventually started to grow on me".

"And who would have thought that almost four years later you would be dating Uruha-san ..."

"Shut up, Ai, we're not dating ... well ... not yet, anyway ..."

Ai giggled behind the mug she held to her mouth before taking a sip. Megumi, Kira and Mika smiled as Kikyo blushed and slid a little further down in her seat. Mika smiled to herself, realising she still hadn't said her first 'Gazette memory'.

"My first memory of hearing about Gazette is kind of old ... and I'm talking the middle of my junior years in school. Their song 'Back Drop Junkie' ... do you guys remember that song? It's so old now ..."

Mika's friends glanced up in surprise at her. Ai spoke up first.

"Back Drop Junkie Nancy? That was like their very first song with PS Company isn't it? You have a damn good memory to remember that one. And in middle school as well! They never play that song anymore ... in fact I don't even recall them ever playing it. At least not at the Lives I went too".

"Well think about it ... first and foremost Ruki might not even be able to sing that song anymore. I mean his vocals have changed dramatically since then. Remember at the 'One Night Stand' concert and they played 'Ray'? I don't know about you but I could hear he was having trouble adjusting to the lyrics". Megumi said, again thoughtfully.

"Hey yeah, your right. I thought something sounded a bit different ... not badly, just like he was kind of uncomfortable singing it, you know". Kikyo said, sitting forward slightly and pointing at Megumi.

Mika didn't think there was anything wrong with him signing 'Ray' because she liked the song, but with all of the new songs they were writing, chances are his vocals would become better and better. Therefore would not be so suitable for very old songs anymore. But that was just the way a band was, right? There would be no band if they didn't keep getting better. Kira smiled.

"Well whatever the case, each of us seems to have great first memories of Gazette and I'm really glad all of us met because of them".

"Yeah me too! I think that it's fate that we all became friends and now look - we're friends with the guys! Can't get much cooler friends than that!" Mika beamed as she sculled the last of her hot chocolate.

Kikyo smiled at Mika mischievously.

"Or in your case, a boyfriend who could sing to you until you can't stand it any more?"

Mika made a little coughing sound in her throat just as she was swallowing the chocolate - luckily it didn't choke her. Her friends certainly knew how to embarrass her, but she didn't care. Yes it would be nice to hear Ruki sing just for her but that whole 'Ruki in tights' image came back to her yet again, which she quickly dismissed. Simultaneously the girls all looked at the clock hanging in the middle of the wall - it showed just passed eight now. They wished Kai's show started at eight so then they could meet the guys earlier but that wasn't going to happen. So for the remainder of the time, it turned to favourite moments from concerts and concert DVDs. If that didn't take up fifty minutes, they didn't know what would.

Elsewhere, clear past Tokyo city and half way between Shinjuku station and the Suginami area, the guys were in the middle of organising themselves to leave. Kai had been ready ages ago despite almost loosing his cell-phone ... until he found it lying on his temporary bed. Aoi, Uruha and Reita were huddled on the small veranda of their shared apartment. You may recall ages ago the mention of all of them sharing a place until after the Tour. So while the three of them had their cigarette break and Kai tapped his foot impatiently as he stood in the small living area, Ruki was no where to be seen. All of them were dressed very smartly, even though Kai was the only one making a real presence that evening, meaning his Live Cast radio.

Kai wore straight greyish-blue jeans, a white long sleeve shirt, a red jacket with black sleeves, a thick knitted scarf around his neck and his hair was nicely styled with the ends flicked outward. Aoi was just covered in black - black pants, a tight black V-neck sweater, a knee length black coat over that and his hair was just neatly straightened, parted on the left. Reita looked like a biker with his loose black pants, a short sleeve tight black t-shirt, a thick leather jacket over that with numerous buckles across the front and his hair also neatly straightened and parted on the left - Aoi did Reita's hair. Uruha went for simple black pants, a black singlet slightly visible from under a tight white long sleeve hoodie, a thick grey checker pattern jacket with fake fur around the hood on top and again, straightened hair but in a low ponytail that hung over his right shoulder.

Of course we don't know what Ruki was wearing because he was still hiding in the bedroom somewhere. And poor Kai was growing increasingly agitated because he didn't want to be late for his own radio show. The story was, Ruki was still angsting about having to cut his hair so he was now trying to find his favourite beanie to cover it. It was now currently dreadlock free, brown and with frosted blond highlights through it. But why he had to wait until then to find his beanie was beyond Kai's comprehension ... and he thought the singer was intending to do it on purpose just to spite him.

"Ruki, if your not out here in five seconds, we're leaving without you~!"

Kai called as he stopped tapping his foot to shout, then slowly turning the other way to cross his arms and stare at the wall. Aoi, Reita and Uruha quickly finished their smokes and stepped back into the living area. Reita shuddered and rubbed his hands together.

"Oh fuck, it's cold out there! How can it be so cold this early in the season? We're still only in Autumn ..."

"Well be thankful we're not in Hokkaido ... they're most likely covered by five feet of snow by now".

Aoi said, having a quick glance back out the window before shoving his hands in his pockets and shivering slightly. Of course they would be doing the rounds in Hokkaido during their Tour anyway, but it was still hard for the fans to wait out in minus degree temperatures just to go watch them play. That was when they really appreciated the love the fans gave them. Uruha noticed Kai glance at his watch and decided to give Ruki another warning on his behalf.

"Ruki, unless you want us to tell Mika-chan that your breaking up with her, you'll get out here now ... you don't want the wrath of a women on top of you".

"Oh, I like the 'on top of me' part. Tell me that again".

Uruha jumped when he got a sudden response from the singer, who just came out of the bedroom carrying his black beanie. Aoi, Reita, Uruha and an annoyed Kai just shook their heads at him - it didn't matter what time of day or night, Ruki would always have his mind in the gutter. Ruki was wearing his black skinny jeans, a tight white long sleeve shirt, a waist length thick black jacket, also with fake fur around the edge of the hood like Uruha's jacket. His extremely flat hair was also straightened and he quickly pulled the black beanie over his head. His razored fringe hung in strands framing his eyes. Kai was about to say something when Ruki pulled his car-keys from his jacket pocket and threw them up in the air before catching them.

"Shall we go then? Wouldn't want to keep the public waiting, ne?

Ruki turned on his heel and snatched his shoulder bag from the kitchen bench as he walked past it. Kai held his hands up, as his he was about to strangle an invisible version of Ruki. Aoi, Reita and Uruha laughed quietly because they could tell Kai was annoyed. Uruha pushed Kai's hands down as Reita and Aoi pushed Kai out the door. The guys 'temporary' apartment was located on the third floor of a small building - it was small on purpose so that hopefully not many fans would know they were there. But it was the closest place available near the main PS Company building seeing all of the guys actually resided between Tokyo and Shinjuku areas. And with the main building located in the Suginami area, this apartment block was their best option. The front door lead out onto an open-air walkway, then off to the right was a stone spiral staircase leading down to the small car park. The only vehicle they used for the time being was just Ruki's - Aoi's motorcycle and Reita, Uruha and Kai's cars were just left at their own apartments. There was no need for all of the guys to have their vehicles right before the Tour.

The radio station that Live Cast was aired from wasn't far from where their apartment. So Ruki couldn't understand why Kai was in such a huff when they were not even ten minutes drive away. But as we all know, Kai was the punctual one when it came to his radio show. Ruki slowly pulled up to the front of a fairly large building - it looked more like an office building with a huge radio-wave dish on the roof rather than a radio station. It was just coming up to a quarter to nine as Kai got out of the front passenger seat and adjusted his bag. Ruki got out too but left one foot in the car as he leaned on the roof of his car.

"I'm guessing you'll be right from here? We'll just wait in the car park across the road from here. When you're done we'll go straight to the café."

"Alright, I'll see you all in half an hour. But I don't see why you can't just come inside, it's warmer".

Ruki made a thoughtful face before bending down to look inside his car. Kai figured he must have said something to Aoi, Reita and Uruha because next thing he knew, the three of them were practically climbing over each other to get out. Then there was the slamming of car doors and running sounds as they all made a dash for the front door. Kai laughed as Ruki locked his car.

"Well I take it they don't mind waiting inside ..."

Ruki said as he shoved his hands into his pockets and followed Kai through the main doors. Aoi, Reita and Uruha were already over by the drink machines and feeding coins to it. Each of them chose a can of hot coffee before stiffly walking over to the thick lounge chairs called the 'waiting room' - it was only a small square area of chairs and coffee tables but at least it was cosy. Kai smiled and waved as he walked past.

"I'll see you guys soon, and try to stay out of trouble ..."

"When we're all frozen stiff? Yeah right ..."

Reita whinged as he slouched in his chair and held the can with both hands to warm them up. Aoi and Uruha were already practically sculling their coffee as Ruki sat down in a chair across from Reita. He then pulled his cell-phone from his back pocket to check for the time and any messages - it was five to nine and no messages. He wasn't expecting any messages from Mika ... they'd been messaging each other for half of the day anyway. He wondered if Mika and her friends were eagerly listening into Live Cast as he closed his phone.

"Ah Konban wa Minna-san, Kai desu~! Can you believe how cold it is tonight? For those who are comfy and warm inside, don't move. I've just been outside and if I had a choice I probably wouldn't have come in tonight at all ... just kidding".

The girls almost fell off their chairs when they heard Kai talking through Kira's laptop - it was nine o'clock already? After his initial introduction, a little laugh could be heard. Megumi giggled when she heard Kai's laugh as the others looked at her; Kikyo spoke first.

"Well Meg, you've certainly picked a guy with a cute laugh. You can't help but smile every time he does".

"Yeah I know but I can't help it ..."

Megumi said with a blush as she leaned forward to rest her elbows on her knees so she could listen to Kira's laptop better. Kira and Mika both curled up in their chairs while Ai and Kikyo also leaned forward like Megumi.

"Eto ... enough about the weather, we have new updates on our Tour. So check it out on our website! I'd tell you my self but then that would be spoiling the surprise. The only hint I will give is that it includes a few more extra things ... you'll see what I mean. Anyway, first thing I want to bring up tonight is about the amazing success of our 'One night Stand' gig a couple of weeks ago! All seats were sold out in one day, thank you fans! Sadly I'm sure a lot of our fans didn't get to buy tickets in time, but I do hope those who missed out will join us on our 'Decomp Tour' next week!"

The girls smiled at hearing the 'One Night Stand' gig was a sell out. Kira piped up excitedly.

"Oh I really can't wait until the Tour. I have to check out what Lives house I can crash!"

"I'd be careful Kira. With us knowing the guys now, it may give some fans an excuse to attack you if they recognise you. Plus with the article in the papers right before the Tour, it'll still be fresh in peoples minds".

Kikyo warned her; Ai, Megumi and Mika nodded in agreement. Kira blinked out of shock.

"What, so you expect that none of us go to see them during their Tour?"

"Why don't we wait until we meet them at the café and then ask them what we should do?"

Kira grimaced and puffed her cheeks out once Kikyo finished - she hated to admit it but Kikyo probably had a point. Still, she wanted to hear from the guys first. Maybe something could be worked out.

"It's going to be full on for about three months, I can't believe how long we'll be on the road ... but when I think back on our previous tours, each one has become just that little bit longer each time. It just goes to show that with our tours being longer and longer, it means more and more fans are demanding to see us perform. You have no idea how awesome that is, Arigatou ne!"

"Aww Kai-san never fails to be sweet!"

Mika said with a little smile and she crossed her arms tightly to keep warm. Ai looked at her.

"But he's right. With their tours becoming longer, when would we be able to see them socially? Mika are you alright with Ruki being so busy during tours and stuff?"

Mika didn't hesitate in answering Ai's question with a nod and a genuine smile.

"But it doesn't matter how long our Tours are ... as long as each of my band mates and I have family and friends to come back too. And as long as they're always there, that's one of the many things that keep us going. And also, by the time the tours are over and we finally have time to sit down and think ... it's then that we can actually say 'Hey we did it'. That kind of feeling is what we always strive for".

All of the girls couldn't help but say 'Aww' to Kai's latest statement. He really was sweet.

"Okay I'll stop that now before I have Kaa-san calling and telling me to stop being so soft. Aside from the Tour, I'm sure you all know by now that our next single 'Hyena' will be realised during our Tour. We've been filming non-stop all week for the 'Hyena' PV and I'm very sure it'll be greatly enjoyed. There may even be a preview up on our website soon ... I have to say I haven't checked so I wouldn't know".

With that a sheepish laugh could be heard from Kai - sure the band had their own official website but that didn't mean they maintained it themselves. Of course now the fans could make a mental note to keep checking the website. The girls smiled at hearing about the filming of 'Hyena'.

"Oh how cool! They're music video's just keep getting better and better. And about time a new one came out ... I'm starting to wear out my 'Filth in the Beauty' DVD".

Ai said in an amused tone as she shifted her feet from the chair to the floor and leaned forward, elbows on her knees. The others knew what she meant - they too were wearing out their PV DVD's.

"So yes, once again we will be releasing two versions - one with our video and the other with a bonus track. I think the songs are already listed in our 'New Releases' web page so be sure to check that out. Well I will now take a few minutes break and let you hear a song, ne? You've probably heard this song so many times that it's now driven you crazy, but I thought 'why not?' Here's 'Filth in the Beauty' ..."

With that Kai was cut off by the opening to 'Filth in the Beauty' and so started his short break. The girls couldn't believe how quickly his show was passing tonight, but he was only allocated half an hour anyway. On the bright side, at least they were now fifteen minutes closer to leaving and meeting at the café. While the song start, Mika leaned down to pick up her mini black bag. She was fishing for her note pad to make sure the address of the café was still in it - last thing she wanted to do was have Ruki think she was unreliable with taking notes.

1) Ruki's vocal improvement: Listen to one of the bands old songs than compare it to how they perform it now ... you can really tell how much Ruki's voice has developed
