Comfortable

The days had almost flown by for Skylar. She busied herself in office duties around the studi so she didn't have to see John. It wasn't that she was afraid to see him or talk to him, she just didn't know what to say to him.

Finally Thursday came, Day 3 of the shoot. Jason had left for London late the night before. She was up all night wondering how the next monthj was going to be without him. He was doing various shoots over the next few weeks in places like London, Paris, Madrid, which left the rest of John's shoot her responsibility.

Skylar drug Sarah onto the set with her for emotional support. "I need you here" she said biting her pen. "i can't be around him alone"

Sarah smiled and brushed the whisps of hair out of Skylar's face. "Well, I'm here now, stop freaking out."

The studio door opening startled them both, and Skylar turned to see John making hsi way inside.

"You're early" she said with a smirk

"I never went to sleep, so I was getting antsy in that hotel room" he said fidgiting with his jacket "I was thinking about alot of things last night" he finished.

Skylar laughed trying to mask the nervousness in her voice "Well" she started "You didn't have to sit up all night worrying about wardrobe choices, I told you if we didn't like what you chose, we'd change it"

John laughed and shook his head. He looked away before speaking. "So are we ready to do this thing?" he said, yawning.

Skylar smiled and said "One thing"

"What's that?" John questioned smiling at her

"MAKE-UP!!!!" Skylar yelled "You look like hell John" she said to him, smiling.

John laughed as she spun around on her heels. He watched her as she set up her camera on the set. The lights from above were shining down on her again, illuminating her face as she smiled.

"She's amaxing, isn't she?" said Sarah from behind him

"Yeah" he answered still looking at Skylar "She is"

"What happened with you guys?" Sarah asked rummaging through her purse.

"I can't remember" John said, "I couldn't even when it was over, I thought about it everyday, I thought about her everyday." John turned around to face Sarah "I never got over her" he said rubbing his chin "I loved her and still do, and now its too late, she is everything to me, she is the perfect girl for me, and she is getting married to someone else"

Sarah shook her head and patted John's shoulder. "Life happens"she said to John sympathetically "You have to move on". Sarah walked onto to the set to join Skylar.

John watched Skylar's face while behind the camera. He loved the way her eyes lit up as each shot fell into place. "She really loves this" he thought to himself, watching her.

"Alrighty" SKylar said packing the film up, "We're all done here, You're free to go" She put her camera in her shoulder bag and headed for the office doors to Sarah.

"Hey Skylar" John called after her, headong towards her "Hold up a sec"

Skylar turned around to face John. "God I hate when he does that" she thought to herself whne he smiled. "Yeah?"

John paused for a second before starting. "Um, so yeah, my show is coming up soon, and I kinda need a photographer, so would you by any chance" "C'mon stupid spit it out" he said to himself "Would there be any way you would come down and shoot for me?"

Skylar stood silient for a moment before speaking. "You want to hire me?" she asked

"Um, well yeah" John answered simply

"To take pictures, at the gorge?" she asked again, almost baffled.

"Yeah" John said slowly, "Will ya do it?"

"Yes, of course" Skylar said quickly, not giving her head a chance to change her answer.

"Awesome" John said smiling "I'll send the tickets and info over to your office in the morning, You ladies have a great day" John nodded at Sarah and Skylar and started jogging in the other direction.

"Hey John" Skylar called after him

"Yeah?" he answered stopping to turn around

"Thanks" she said cursing herself, "Should have said something better" she thought tryng to keep the smile on her face.

"No problem" he said with a smile.

Skylar watched as he walked away, feeling almost weak in the knees. She looked at Sarah and bit her lip.

"Oh, I can't wait to see this" Sarah said, laughing "This is gonna be fun "
