HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we're back again!!! sorry about the really long wait for this chapter but we've both been really busy. We havent forgotten about this fic though and we promise to try and update more regularly!
The moment the dark-haired girl had left the hall, Bam lifted himself off the wooden floor to stand on his wobbling legs. This was the weirdest conversation he'd had in ….fucking years. He hadn’t even known her, or this bar. But 15 minutes after he'd come in, his secret was already out. The secret he'd hidden for such a long time.
And now he was standing here. In front of a door that lead to the room that contained Ville. He had finally said it out loud, he loved Ville. He loved him so goddamn much. So yeah, the girl was right…..things had changed, and there was no way back. They had to talk.
Sweat trickled down his forehead as his hand touched the handle of the door. Maybe Ville would laugh at him. Maybe he'd be upset. Maybe he'd tell him he was flattered but he didn’t feel the same. It would all make him end up here again puking out his guts.
Damnit this was bad. But it wouldn’t be as bad as hiding his feelings even longer then he already had. That would be the death of him, because the faking, the pretending….he couldn’t take it anymore. So yeah, either way….he was screwed.
He took a deep breath, and finally opened the door to the bar with slightly shaking hands. Only to be surprised when he found a pair of sparkling green eyes staring directly at him from the bar.He took a deep, calming breath that made him choke over the lump in his throat and didn't actually calm him at all before making his way
unsteadily to the bar and trying to act casual as he stood next to the man he dreamed of every night.
"Are you ok Bammie?" Ville asked, his deep voice laced with concern. "You were away for ages."
Bam was touched by his concern for his wellbeing until his traitorous mind piped up **If he was so worried then why didn't he come looking for me? I've got to stop reading into things too much, he. will. never. love. me**
He opened his mouth to tell Ville that he wasn't ok, that he was crying his eyes out like a little girl over him because his love for him went deeper than anything he'd ever experienced but as he looked into piercing green eyes all confidence he had, left him.
"Uh yeah. Just feeling a bit sick ya know?" **yeah LOVEsick** his evil mind taunted him
Ville frowned. "Do you wanna leave if you don't feel too good?"
"No, I'll be fine don't worry dude."
An akward silence fell between them that they tried to fill with mindless chit chat, anything rather than say what was really on their minds.
On the other side of the bar Heavenleigh and Sara were rolling their eyes at each other in dispair.
"This is ridiculous, I'm gonna go over there and tell them both how the other feels so they can get on with it." Heavenleigh started to walk towards the couple only to find herself being pulled backwards by the collar of her shirt.
"You can't do that." Sara hissed. She found it amusing watching Heavenleigh get riled up over the situation and she had to admit she was frustrated that they still wouldn't talk to each other but they knew it was something they had to admit to on their own. It didn't mean they couldn't help push them along a little though.
"You have an evil look in your eyes, I like it." Heavenleigh grinned.
"I was just thinking that they need a little extra push to get them together and I think I know the perfect thing."
"Ooh tell me then!" Heavenleigh squealed impatiently
"Is your friend Chris doing anything tonight? The really flirty gay one with a HUGE crush on Bam?"
A smirk made it's way across Heavenleighs lips as she realized what the plan was. "Yup he's at home tonight, I'll give him a call!"
As the purple-haired bartender pulled out her cell phone and walked to the back to make the call, Sara started to wash up some more empty glasses on the counter.
She eyed the shy couple, who were sitting not nearly close enough and now talking about some new album they both liked. They looked less nervous and laughed a little, but still no real progress.
At least not to her liking. Ok, maybe calling Chris was mean. To Bam, Ville and of course Chris. But hell, if Chris was going to be as he always was, and that was a flirting, love crazy skank, Ville was definitely going to explode and spill his feeling for Bam before he knew it.
Because if Heavenleigh had informed her right, Ville also had it pretty bad for the younger skater. She smiled when Bam glanced at her with pleading eyes before turning back to Ville. The plan she and Heavenleigh had was probably not what he was asking for. But it would work!
Yup….
Totally…….It would so work.
Or, she hoped.
She placed two beers on front of the boys with an encouraging wink.
“Here, on the house.” She said, hoping the alcohol would loosen them up and do the
job before Chris actually arrived. Because…..you know….there was a small chance it would backfire. And she wouldn’t want to be responsible for that.
“Thanks. That's so sweet.” Ville smiled, but Bam just shot her another desperate look. How was this going to help him?
That moment Heavenleigh returned from the back, her cell phone still in her hand, and a naughty glint in her eyes.
“It’s done. He’s coming. And he's excited.” She squealed, grabbing Sara arm and hoping from one leg to the other.
“He is? Oooh, Heaven, I’m not sure this is a good idea.” Sara winced. She had secretly prayed Chris wouldn’t be coming after all. In her head there were popping up more and more reasons why this was a bad idea. Bar fights, broken hearts, destroyed friendships….oh boy.
“WHAT? Why do you say that? It was your idea.” Heavenleigh hissed, lowering
her voice when Bam and Ville looked their way.
“I know, I know….I just….It could totally work, you know. But what..”
“But what, what?”
“But what if it doesn’t.”
Heavenleigh sighed deeply. "You know, you always have to put a downer on things." She said, only half joking.
"Sometimes you have to take a risk in life or you never get anywhere, but if it will make you feel better then we'll fill Chris in on the plan when he gets here so he doesn't go too over the top."
"That would help but what if Ville gets too jealous and either starts a fight or walks out?"
"Well that's where we come in" Heavenleigh exclaimed, like it was the most obvious thing in the world "We have to help control the situation, it'll work, trust me." She gave her friend her best reassuring smile and it seemed to work as Sara visibly relaxed.
"Ok. You tell Chris about the plan and we'll see how it goes but if it all goes wrong...."
"I know, I've heard it all before, If anything goes wrong then it's my fault. How come whenever anything goes wrong or there's a bar fight, it has to be my fault?!"
"Maybe cos it usually is your fault!" Sara grinned "remember the bar fight you started when you flirted with that Irish guy last month?"
"Well how was I to know that was his wife next to him? She looked old enough to be his mother." Heavenleigh pouted, looking like a very tall, punky five year old.
"Don't worry about it, you got out of it pretty much unharmed. Chris has just walked in so remember to tell him the plan, I'm gonna go and get our two lovebirds more beer, they're drinking that stuff like a fish drinks water."
She walked over to them waving at Chris as he passed, his blonde hair spiked to perfection and wearing the tightest pair of jeans he owned.
As she poured their beer she found them watching heavenleigh as she leaned
over the bar whispering to Chris.
"She really does flirt with everyone doesn't she?!" Ville laughed
"What? Oh, no he's her best friend and he's gay! but yeah she does flirt with everyone, she can't help it!" Sara laughed, keeping an eye on Bam's face to check for jealousy.
Ville noticed Sara checking Bam’s face and he turned to his side to look at his friend, who was staring right at him with his big blue, and almost pleading eyes. Like he was going to say something, but didn’t know how to begin.
“Anyway, I’ll be over here if you need me.” Sara interrupted, trying to sound friendly but hissing most of the words through her teeth in frustration. They were never going to get together. Heavenleigh and her had practically banged their heads together and still they were not talking about how they really felt. Bam was not listening to her advice.
She sighed deeply, seeing Heavenleigh eying her with a frown. Silently asking her if she could throw their little idea into the game.
She really didn’t want to do this, but one last look at the awkward looking couple, hardly touching and blushing like mad. This was not going anywhere anytime soon.
Walking past Heavenleigh with the empty glasses she was caring, and brushed against her friends arm, whispering: “Fine, let’s do it.”
