ORLANDO POV:
Orlando rolled back and forth on his bed, images filling in his head, as he sleeps.
A younger version of Orlando sighed as he walked down the hall of the school, ready to go to second block. As he made his way up the stairs he heard crying from beneath him. He stopped for a second, and looked around, walking back down and peered under the dark corners of the stairs. To his surprise, it was Christina Nguyen.
Christina Nguyen was you’re average everyday girl, who hated preps, had many friends, very attractive, and had jerk boyfriends. To Orlando, She was an angel. If she didn’t have that low life, Kevin then he would have asked her out already but sadly, girls like that don’t stay in the market very long.
“Christina?” Orlando asked, watching her perk her head, as he placed his hands on her shoulders.
She jumped in surprise, and turned around. “Hey Orlando…I…lost my contact. My eyes are getting very watery now as you can see…” She said quickly, her voice cracking.
He frowned. “Christina, you’re an excellent actress, but we both know you don’t need contacts…” Orlando confirmed, and pulled her in a small gentle hug. “What’s wrong?” he asked, although he already knew what was bothering her. It was obvious...
“Kevin…Its Kevin…he doesn’t want me anymore because…” She paused
“Because?” he raised his eyebrow.
“He doesn’t want a long distance relationship…”
Orlando was confused. He wanted to question further on the long distance relationship ordeal, but seeing more tears spring from her eyes, he only wanted to do one thing. He leaned in and kissed her gently. As first her body stiffened in shock, but quickly she relaxed and wrapped her arms around his neck. He deepened the kiss, caressing her cheek with his thumb. He wanted to take the pain away from her.
Suddenly she jerked away. “Orlando I can’t do this…” She murmured.
Orlando frowned. Of coarse she couldn’t. To her, he was only a friend. “I…understand.”
“No it’s not that I don’t like you. It’s just that…I won’t be here very long…” She sighed and crossed her arms, turning her head away.
“What do you mean?” He asked, with a frown.
“My dad had a job offer in Canada…I’m moving tomorrow…”
Orlando’s eyes snapped open, finding himself in his empty room, his body covered in cold beads of sweat.
END ORLANDO POV
Christina sighed as she got home from her job as a waitress in Benny’s Diner. She collapsed on her bed, and yawned. She sighed again; she realized she hasn’t seen Orlando in almost four days. She didn’t expect him to call her, did she? She knew he was way out of her league. She’d be the little league team and he’s the whole national baseball season.
She sighed, watching Vixen hop on her bed, she scratched her lightly on the head, with a small smile. She had her chance in high school but back then she knew it wouldn’t be fair to him. She didn’t want him to go trough dances and proms without dates. She didn’t want to imagine him turning down a gorgeous girl just because he had someone in Canada. She wasn’t worth the trouble…
Just then there was a ring at her door bell. She sat up and blinked, her heart racing, hoping that behind her door was Orlando but she quickly dismissed it. She knew he was too busy for her. She rushed to the door, and half way trough, the door bell rung again. “I’m coming!” She called out, looking in the mirror before she opened the door.
“Orlando?” She blinked, feeling her heart begin to race once more when seeing his face.
He smiled. “You seem surprised…” he chuckled.
She grinned and stepped aside, watching him walk in. “It’s not every day that Orlando Bloom walks into you’re apartment.”
He laughed. “I came to see if you’re busy…” He then looked at her up and down. “Nice outfit…”
She raised her eyebrow and then looked down. Her eyes widened when she realized she was still wearing her red and white diner outfit. “Oh my god...” She murmured.
He chuckled again. “Don’t worry about it, its cute.” He said, watching her blush from neck down. He then started to wonder how far the blush came to but quickly shook off the idea.
“So…Are you?” He raised his eyebrow.
“Am I what?” She asked, a little confused.
“Busy.” He grinned.
“Well I don’t have any plans at the moment…” She smiled.
“Great! How do you feel on going for a walk with me?” He said, with a smile.
“Sure.” She said, not hesitating to answer.
“And possibly dinner afterwards?”
“Maybe…Don’t push your luck…” She teased
He chuckled.
“Just let me get changed, ill be out in a second.” She smiled, walking back into her room.
She opened her closet, reveling some clothes on the hangers, and a couple of boxes. She sighed, and went trough the clothes that were hung, and finally finding something she liked. She wore some tight blue jeans, which flared at the bottom. A cream halter top that came down to her mid thy like a mini dress, and a suede dark brown belt just below her waist. She slipped on a couple of bracelets, and quickly brushed her blonde hair down, before checking if her make up was still good. She grabbed her purse and walked over to the front where Orlando was waiting for her.
He smiled. “You look great!” He complimented, looking at her up and down.
She blushed. “Thank you…” She said, and opened the door.
As they both headed outside of the apartment building, Christina heard clicking. All of a sudden, lights started flashing around them, people buzzing around as they called Orlando’s name and shoving recorders at his face. He looked surprisingly calm as he led her into the limo, and pulled himself inside with her.
“I’m sorry about that, I guess they spotted us at the café the other day and followed me here.” Orlando sighed, and put a hand behind his neck, the limo driving off.
“Its okay, it’s like you called them on porpoise.” She perked, with a sweet smile.
Orlando smiled lightly back at her.
“So…where are we going?” She grinned.
“Oh it’s a surprise…” he laughed lightly.
“I hate surprises…” She pouted playfully and he laughed.
“You don’t hate surprises, you just hate waiting.” He smirked.
“That’s true too.” She stuck her tongue to the side, causing him to chuckle. He always likes that about her, she wasn’t afraid to act silly around him.
The limo then stopped and the driver opened the door, reveling a small park. It was quiet and very few people were there, but the scenery was beautiful.
“Surprised?” Orlando grinned from behind her. She nodded.
“Very surprised…” She blinked, and felt strong arms wrap around her waist, and slinging her body over his shoulder. She accidentally let out a shriek.
“Orlando put me down!” She laughed, hitting his back lightly.
“I don’t know, I like you this was. Light, easy to carry like a purse...” he chuckled.
“Of coarse you would know…” She mumbled, teasingly, knowing he heard.
“Did you say something?” He started walking.
“No…” She rolled her eyes.
“That’s too bad because I was about to put you down!” he laughed evilly.
“Come on Orlando, I’m Heavy! I’m like a million pounds!” She whined,” Times infinity!” She added. Truthfully, she did find herself fat. She didn’t know why, she just didn’t think she was thin.
“Oh you exaggerate…” Orlando rolled his eyes, and gently placed her down, seating her on the edge of the fountain while he sat beside her.
“You’re going to wake up with your shoulder broken…” She crossed her arms.
“I’ll take that risk.” He laughed, and leaned in with a small smile on his lips.
She blushed lightly, seeing him draw closer. She noticed some small light clicking, but Orlando didn’t seem to notice, He leaned in and kissed her softly, the clicking became louder and audible. Orlando broke the kiss quickly and looked over at her. “We have to leave…” He said, and took her by the hand; they both ran off, towards the apartment building.
They slammed the door to Christina’s apartment, and slid to the floor, gasping for air. They looked at each other for a second and then erupted in a sea of laughs and giggles.
“I guess we’re trapped here until the paparazzi go away…” Orlando smiled, and she smiled back.
“Yes I guess you’re right…do you want to watch a movie?” She smiled lightly and he nodded.
“Sounds good.” He smiled, and followed her as she got up, and walked towards the living room to the entertainment center.
She opened a cupboard revealing shelves of DVDs.
“I don’t know where to start…” She admitted, and laughed. He grinned and poked his head over her shoulder. A lot of the movies she had, he stared in. Troy, Pirates, Elisabeth Town.
“Quite the fans aren’t you?” He smirked and she looked over at him.
“Oh don’t be so full of you’re self...” She elbowed him lightly, and playfully, and he pretended he was actually hurt. He pouted.
“That hurt…” he smiled
“Boohoo…” She said dryly and pilled out a DVD. “How about Pirates?” She grinned.
“Sounds good.” He smiled, and sat down as he watched her pop in the DVD in the player.
She seated beside him, and looked over at the screen as the movie started.
By the end of the movie, Orlando looked over at Christina, who was sound asleep on his shoulder. He smiled lightly while brushing a strand of hair from her face. He grabbed the remote and turned off the TV, resting his head on top of hers, feeling himself drift to sleep as well.
She woke up expecting to find herself in her bed, but she felt her head on something warm. She opened her eyes and realized she was on Orlando’s chest. She smiled lightly, and got up, walking to the washroom.
Orlando later woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon. Orlando got up, and followed the smell, seeing the sight of Christina in front of a stove.
Christina happily cooks the food, but she jumps in surprise feeling a pair of strong hands wrap around her waist.
“You slept in…” She laughed, feeling herself flush as he rested his head tiredly against her shoulder. She didn’t know what their relationship was but it was obvious to her it wasn’t ‘just friends’.
“So I did…” he chuckled. “Something smells good…”
She laughed. “Pancakes and bacon.” She said, and moved the bacon pancakes into the plate, and the bacon sitting beside them. “Would you like some strawberries or chocolate chips on them?” She smiled.
“Strawberries please…” Orlando grinned and watched as she opened the fridge and took out a box of strawberries and a box of Chocolate chips for herself.
After breakfast, Orlando said he had to run somewhere and he’ll come back in the afternoon. She nodded her head, watching him leave.
