Announcement: Yadda yadda, just wanted to put one up because it makes me feel all official. Right, like that’ll ever happen. Any ideas? Feel free to tell me and I’ll most certainly credit you for it. This is mostly an experiment anyway and I’m still not sure what could really happen in all this. So your guess is as good as mine.
Yes, I’m an Andy fan. I admit it fully.
Andy Hurley was still bored. Though Brendon’s random shouts from outside were somewhat entertaining he still couldn’t seem to find anything at all. And he didn’t know what had happened to Jade, Sisky and the Butcher when they went out into the woods like that. He rolled his eyes at that kind of thought. There was always a conspiracy theory, wasn’t there? But of course the conspiracy was more entertaining than the ordinary anyway, he mused as he wandered outside the RV.
Brendon was busy cursing at the tire that didn’t seem to want to obey him at all and Spencer was calling on his Blackberry in an attempt to get some outside help. But as most so called horror movies went, he couldn’t seem to find any service no matter how many times he paced around the RV or how far he went out. He always came back, grumbling about the server and how the service should be everywhere as advertised even in the middle of nowhere.
Andy merely would shrug and pretend to be interested. He didn’t even want to know where Patrick and Tuesday were. Probably off “chatting” somewhere for all he cared. It was none of his business what they did and most of the time he really didn’t want to know. Ignorance was bliss and he was going to keep it that way.
He was just outside the RV when he saw them coming. He let out a sigh of relief without even thinking about it when he recognized the familiar three from the tour and was more than confused when he saw two other girls with them.
One of them had brilliant red hair, a kind of shade he wasn’t used to at all and was incredibly long and curly. The other was smaller and just as strange looking. Her hair was long as well, braided and pulled back stiffly behind her shoulders. Both were dressed just as weirdly as he could see them coming closer. Though the red head’s dress was much brighter than her companion’s they were both straight and almost matched except for the colors. He had never seen anything like it especially when compared to the fans he was used to in their concerts. Then he realized he must be staring and wandered over to Spencer and Brendon who were still distracted with their own problems.
“Hey, guys, I think they’re back.” He said quietly, hoping they would notice before he had to yell at him. It would be really awkward if he had to with them coming right towards them. He nudged Spencer who was intently staring at his Blackberry that was still giving absolutely no signal whatsoever yet again. “Our intrepid explorers are back….”He said again and Spencer finally snapped out of it.
“Oh, right, Jade, those people.” Spencer said, shaking his head. “Where the hell are Tuesday and Patrick anyway?” He asked, scratching his head a little as if that would solve all their problems. Then he gave a defeated sigh and distractedly looked toward an annoyed Brendon.
“Damnit, I think I just lost a battle with a tire with no intelligence whatsoever.” Brendon said, wiping his hands on his pants. “What? Someone coming?” He echoed, looking in the direction where Andy was. “Whoa… talk about The Crucible Part Two.” He shrugged when he saw the two new girls, whoever they were.
Andy elbowed Brendon a little sharply with an annoyed look. “Hey, they could hear you, you know. For all we know, they could be weird axe murderers in…I dunno…whatever they’re wearing. I think I’ve seen better looking potato sacks.” He rolled his eyes, remembering he shouldn’t stare even as Jade, Sisky, the Butcher and the two strangers were coming towards them.
“Hey, we didn’t find a gas station but we did find someone who might be able to help us.” said the Butcher who was still eyeing his sister and his friend who were a little too close for his comfort. But as usual they didn’t have his comfort as a priority.
“Help us how?” Asked Brendon, not exactly trying not to stare. “Can they change a tire without hurting themselves?” He hid an injured finger and bit his lip nervously. “Show us back to the main road? Anything?”
The redhead shook her head, finally close enough to show the details of who she was. For some reason Andy felt drawn to her and he didn’t know why despite her strange form of dress and whoever was with her. But Joe was finally coming out of the RV, yawning and stretching as if nothing had happened. Sometimes the drummer wondered how his friend could sleep so deeply and not realize anything at all. And if he did, he sure could have fooled them.
“We do have a place you can stay. I’m sure you’re all very hungry and Nanny is a wonderful cook. If you were to come with us to Eden we can give you a real meal and a place to sleep until you can figure things out. It’s not too out of the way and we promise we won’t be much trouble.” said the blond who was just as transfixed at the band as the boys were with the strangers.
“Yes, do come. We’re fast cleaners and we haven’t had visitors in so long it would be the talk of the town.” added the redhead who was blushing for some reason Andy noticed. She kept looking at him and then looking away to Jade and the other girl as if for reassurance.
Andy shrugged a little, not sure what to think at all. But he didn’t want to make a decision without the others. Pete was finally out of the RV too, curiously looking around to see what was going on. For some reason, the older Wentz brother seemed in a daze lately and they couldn’t exactly tell why. And Patrick and Tuesday had disappeared somewhere in the woods which worried Andy whether he liked to admit it or not.
“Dinner? A real house? Are you kidding me?” Pete gushed before anyone could say anything at all. “I don’t know about you guys but if there’s steak I’m going. I’m tired of Ramen and Joe burning everything.”
Joe, sleep still in his eyes and a dazed look taking over, frowned anyway and made a face at his friend. “It’s not my fault the microwave’s weird. You keep putting it on different settings.”
“Pete, maybe we should think this through,” Andy said, hoping to knock some sense into them. The girls looked harmless enough but the idea of a village bothered him. It was out in the middle of nowhere and why would there be something called Eden hidden where they hadn’t heard of? They had a concert to get to and they couldn’t just forget about that too. “We still have obligations, you know.”
“We’re already an hour late to that, Andy,” Pete said, a bit of a whine in his voice. And Andy knew better than to really argue with Pete when he was hungry. “And besides, it sounds great. And they look Ok too. I mean, what’s the harm?”
“Yeah..” Joe yawned. “What’s the harm?” He shrugged and Andy frowned, hating to have to be the voice of reason when Patrick usually was. He hoped Spencer or Brendon would say something or any of the others for that matter.
“Fine, fine, fine. We’ll stay but only for dinner and that’s it.” ANdy said, looking from Spencer and Brendon to the others who agreed, all of them thinking more with their stomachs. “But somebody has to stay in case Tuesday and Patrick come back by, wherever they went to. Just in case.” Well, this could be interesting. He knew he didn’t mind the presence of the red head at all but something about this was just strange and he couldn’t put a finger on it.
“About time you made some sense, Hurley. Come on guys, get your stuff.” Pete said and Jade shrugged in agreement. She had to admit she was more than a little hungry as well and hadn’t had anything but a light lunch for the day.
“And I hope you have something other than steak…” Andy said, trying not to sound intrusive but he wasn’t about to give up anything because of a good meal no matter how tempting it was in the given situation.
“Don’t worry,” Said the redhead with a reassuring smile that made him want to melt. “I’m sure we can find you something that you’ll like.”
(Weird stopping point but my muse is all weird too. Oh well. Oh nooes! What happened to Patrick and Tuesday? Any ideas? Let me know!)
