A broken heart can make you feel like your dying. Like it was literally ripped from your chest and you could feel everything: the torn skin and the blood pouring out of you, making you weaker and weaker until you couldn't even stand. That's what it feels like. This heart is one that's been patched up a few times, a stitch here and there, but there is always that risk of it breaking open again. And each time there's little hope of salvation. For Bam it was a very familiar circle.
The airport was surprisingly vacant for a holiday. It was only a few weeks until Christmas and here he was on the other side of the world from the people he loved. Well, as much as he could love. Life had became a hollow shell for Bam Margera, once great prankster and pro-skater: now a broken down drunk.
Bam made his way to baggage claim and went on to call a taxi to take him to the hotel. Everyone had asked him why he was going to Finland and he simply answered; "To die." of course everyone thought he was just being over dramatic, but with everything that happened there wasn't much he had to live for anymore.
First was the break up with his first wife Jen. He should have seen it coming, but he had always been a bad judge when it came to women. He loved women and they loved him, but it seemed he always picked the two- faced bitches to fall in love with. That was his luck. He pushed away the only women who really did care, his own mother and his friend since childhood, Airen. Bam smiled as he thought back to when they were in high school and had both been dumped the week before junior prom and ended up going to together. It had felt weird for Bam, even though he knew it was right. Airen seemed like his other half, but was she was girl he dated for the rest of the year and then years later married her after realizing the mistake of letting her go?
No .Instead he ended up married to Missy, the same girl he left Airen for all those years ago. That wasn't his biggest regret, but it was his one of his biggest mistakes.
Bam shook himself, knowing that if he thought about it much longer he'd start crying. That was something he could not have, not while he was still in public, waiting for his taxi.
Soft white cotton fell from the sky and onto his black coat as the sun already started to set.
'God, what a weird place."
He looked at his watch and then quickly back up to see his taxi being stolen! Just as he grabbed his bags and ran towards the glass doors, the yellow cab pulled away. It'd be another hour or so before another showed up. Sighing, he decided to just start walking. The sooner he was there, the sooner he could drink himself into oblivion.
The hotel really wasn't that far, two or three blocks, but with the dropping temperatures and Bam's light dress, it felt like eternity. He wasn't even half way there and he couldn't feel his feet and his whole body was shaking badly.
'Just a little farther…"
He told himself over and over, but it wasn't helping much. Now even his vision was acting up, everything becoming a blur. Bam lost control of his feet and slipped in some ice, falling on his back. Pain rushed to that area. He groaned and tried to get back up but ended up falling again. This time his head cracked against something hard and all went black.
