Edge hung up his phone and tapped it against his leg, thinking hard. He knew it would be nearly impossible to approach Wade Barrett and even more so the rest of The Corre. But,he knew Randy was worried about John and what would happen with the shock of seeing Wade on RAW without any warning beforehand. Edge wanted to help his friend out but didn't know how,with Wade being so new to Smackdown,he didn't really have many friends yet outside of The Corre.
Suddenly,it hit him as he thought back to Wade's past in FCW,he remembered him making a very well working,brutal tag-team known at The Empire with none other than fellow Smackdown superstar,Drew McIntyre. Edge was at least on speaking terms somewhat with Drew and thought maybe he'd be civil enough to notice that Wade was not doing good either. Edge shrugged and muttered to himself,"What the hell? Might as well give the Scottish shit a call and see if he's noticed that Barrett's been actin outta his fucking mind too..."

With that,he quickly dialed Drew's number,wondering if Drew happened to be at RAW too. He heard a smug,Scottish voice answer briskly,"Eh'dge? Wha'd yeh doin callin meh fo'?" Edge sighed,"Look,McIntyre...I know we aint,ya know...buddy buddy and shit...but...I'm doin a favor for a friend...and I know this is gonna sound weird...but,tell me I aint the only one that's noticed that Barrett's been lookin like shit since he got to Smackdown?"
He heard silence for a few seconds on the other line and wondered if the Scotsman hung up on him or something. But, then he heard Drew's voice again,now tinged with a hint of sorrow,"Y...yeh...it's noh't jus' yeh,Eh'dge. Yeh mah noh't know this,but...meh and Wade...wh'ell les' sah'y he be meh bes' friend fo' many a year...and now...'e kin 'ardly look meh in th' eye now...like 'e doh'nt know who I be no mo'...'e be lookin so sick t',Eh'dge...and yeh betteh nit 'arp on meh ass fo' carin bout 'im but...yeh seem t' care t'...why should yeh??"
Edge sighed,"Look, McIntyre...I think I know why Barrett's been so fucking out of it...but...I gotta ask ya first,man...if ya really been payin attention...has he been carryin anything weird around that ya've noticed?" Drew hummed in thought,"Hmm...yeh know,Eh'dge...now tha' I tink bout it...'e been carryin 'round sem kinda perple ting...I kin nevar git close 'nuff t' look...I try and 'e gits all jumpy on meh!" Edge sighed out again,wondering if he should spill the whole thing or let Randy do it. 'Damn it,' Edge thought quick,'Randy don't know Drew well enough to tell him somethin intimate like that...but Randy is MY best friend...and at least Drew knows this...and Drew is Wade's best friend...sooo...hell...Imma tell him at least what Barrett is carryin around. Then maybe we can work with Randy to try and get these two together before they wind up gettin committed to the Nut House!'
Edge breathed out,"Ok, McIntyre...I know this is gonna sound like total bullshit...but ya know Randy Orton is my best friend on RAW,right?" Drew huffed out in mild irritation,"Of course,Eh'dge! I aint tha' stupid t' nat notice tha'! Wha's tha' gat t' do wit Wade and yehr stupid questin' fo'??" Edge lightly hit himself in the forehead with his free fist to vent his frustration,knowing the Scotsman was just hiding his anxiety about Wade behind brute tones. Edge breathed out again,"Okay...ya know...that purple thing Barrett's carryin around...that's...that's John Cena's armband! That aint all,man! Randy snuck in Cena's bag today,he told me...he's still stashing all the shit Barrett gave him when he was in Nexus with him!"
Again he heard silence on the other line for almost a whole minute before hearing the Scotsman's shaky warble of,"E...Eh'dge...yeh cahn'...be seh'rious?? Cena's armban'?? Cena's still...keepin'...everythin'...Wade evar gave 'im??" Edge mumbled softly,"Serious as a heart attack,man...I wanted to tell ya,cause I know Barrett's your best friend and you have a better chance of gettin through to him than I ever could....but,Randy and I figured...cause...Cena's been actin just as fucked up sooo...we're startin to wonder if they're missin each other...or somethin...I dunno..."
Drew chuckled darkly,"I always did wander if Wade liked Cena...'e seemed wayyy t' attached t' 'im,yeh know? Since 'e came 'ere...it be like yeh said,Eh'dge...nit eatin'...nit sleepin'...all jumpy and 'ery 'ngry....carryin' dat ting 'round in 'is poh'cket....aint even payin 'ttention t' 'is own mates...'e be like th' livin dead,Eh'dge!"
Edge lightly chuckled back with a tinge of sorrow,"Yeah,well...Randy's worried as hell bout Cena, McIntyre...cause he's doin the same fucking thing! Hell...I wouldn't be surprised if he's secretly wearing or carrying that fucking Nexus armband that Barrett gave him around too!" Drew chuckled back,"So...wha' yeh wan' meh t' do,Eh'dge? I kin try t' talk t' Wade...but it's like I say...'e be so out it that 'e 'ardly recognizes meh..."
Edge sighed," McIntyre...just mention Cena to him...and see what he does or says...that's all we can do...I'm haulin my ass to RAW...Teddy's doin some bullshit with The Corre and New Nexus tonight and you can bet with RAW's shit Anon-GM...it's gonna fuck with Cena and put him in between them somehow!" Drew gasped out in near horror,"Oh! Eh'dge! W...Wade cah'nnot 'andle that...nat now! Nat th' way 'e be! Imma go t'! I'll meh't yeh there!"

Edge breathed out,relieved that Drew was willing to help out on Wade's behalf,"Ya...thanks,man...we owe ya...somehow...me and Randy..." Drew then cut him off,"Hanestly,Eh'dge...yeh doh'nt owe meh shite! I be doin this fo' Wade...t' seh 'im 'appy...even if it 'as t' be wit Cena...so be it..."
Edge sighed,"Ya...I aint sure how I factor in this...guess just the happy fucking Smackdown...gossip correspondence...matchmaker or some shit like that...ah,hell...I told Randy I'd help out somehow...and I did...well, McIntyre...first one to get to the arena calls the other...okay?" Drew stated firmly,"Got yeh,Eh'dge! I oh'nly 'ope weh git there in taime! 'Arewell till then,Eh'dge...tread 'arefully in yeh steps t' life as they sehy in meh country..." With that,Drew hung up. Edge blinked and shook his head at the strangeness of the Scotsman while stashing his phone back in his pocket,muttering,"Man...that one's had way too many bagpipes to the fucking ears as a child...damn weirdo...heh...I could get to like the cute lil bastard though..." Edge then got up and stretched,preparing to go pack lightly to haul ass to RAW to try and salvage what shit he could between Wade and John before they both wound up being committed to some kind of mental institution.
