Taylor slipped into the room where he and Isaac shared with Zac, he hated to wake him but he knew he had to. He lightly shook the 17-year-old who woke almost instantaneously; Isaac smiled up at him lightly cupping his face. When Taylor did not smile back, he knew something was up, Taylor read the question in his mind.
“Mom and Dad need to talk to us in their room.” He said Isaac felt a slight chill race through him. He got up without a second question following Taylor to the room shared by his parents and his younger brother and sisters who were currently playing with them in the living room floor with Zac.
“Come in sweeties, and pull the door to ok?” Diana said she and Walker sat on the small couch in the room they had for the night. Isaac pulled the door to as he walked inside; Taylor sat across from them on a love seat, as Isaac stood against the door nervous about the up coming conversation.
“Isaac, please sit.” Walker said Isaac complied as Diana started the conversation.
“Boys, Um, your Dad and I have noticed you to have spent a lot of time together lately, and noticed that Taylor starting is to take on a bit of a feministic look.” The two nodded as Diana continued although Taylor was slightly confused.
“Does either of you remember going to see Jeremy?” Walker asked as his two oldest boys nodded.
“You always had said he lived on the reservation.” Isaac said his nerves rising, as his father continued.
“He lives in a separate world from ours a realm of sorts, he lives in a place know as Monicera.”
Diana said she had hoped this was going to be easier to explain, she had a feeling it was not.
“A separate realm dad what are…? You’ve been reading my sci. fi novels again haven’t you?” Isaac said partially joking.
“No Isaac, We’re being serious you may not remember it when you were much younger you spent many years there.” Isaac surprised a little at his father’s anger.
“Walker, calm down they don’t know how the time difference works there.” Diana said, he took one look at her and obeyed.
“Now, all jokes a side we would like to explain some things, but first we need to know. When did you two fall in love?” Diana asked Taylor looked down answering her question.
“It had gone on for years but we really didn’t tell each other until back in February.”
“Why didn’t you tell each other sooner?” Walker asked, watching his son fight back tears, he spoke up before either could answer. “It’s all right Taylor.” He looked up as a tear slip down his face.
“Oh honey.” Diana said trying taking him in her arms.
“No, I’m fine I promise I’m fine.” He said Diana only nodded as Isaac finished the question.
“You had always taught us that it was wrong so we just let it sort of be, placed on the back burner.”
Walker had winced at the thought of course; they figured it was wrong, society had taught them it was wrong. Though he had to admit he had never shown them it was right either, he sighed as he apologized.
“Boys, I’m sorry, I should have let you meet Jeremy’s true family, and Jeremy’s step father is technically my mate and my brother.” The two looked at him funny as he continued.
“Joseph and I had Jeremy when we were about your ages, Joseph was younger of course, and we had realized we were in love when I was just 15, he had just turned 13. Shortly there after Joseph started to take on a feministic look, which was when our parents told us all of this as, we are telling you.”
“Which leads to my next question, Have you been having any kind of stomach pain?” Diana asked as Taylor nodded.
“It just started not long ago; it’s kind of like muscle cramp or something.” Taylor said he began to rub the low of his stomach.
“It means you’re a conceiver.” Walker said. The boy looked at him strangely; Taylor had heard his father speak of it earlier when he had come to say good night and was curious to know what it meant.
“A conceiver in the realm means you can bear a child.” Diana said Taylor looked at her as she continued. “I’ll have to take you to Dr. Winthrop when we can go, for her to check over everything make sure your body could take having a baby.”
“You’re serious?” Isaac asked, looking at his mother as she nodded.
“Um, we had been joking about me having a baby off and on but, you’re telling me I really can?” Taylor said a smirk on his face.
“Only if in the realm, once out in this world, it stops. The time system there is much different from this one.” Diana said as their father continued.
“The sun rises and sets normally as it does here, a half hour is a day there, a 24 hour day here is a month there, they have hours, but you do get in to your own sense of time by how things feel at a certain time of day.” Walker said, watching his sons become more relaxed around them.
“Holy crap, how do you get used to that?” Taylor said as he rested back against Isaac. Diana smiled at them.
“It’s not that hard, everything kind of falls into place.” Walker said as Taylor nodded.
“Now if Taylor and I were to go away and come back after a few days, have a baby, would it be safe to bring the baby to this world?” Isaac asked as his fingers began to run through his brother’s silk like locks.
“Oh absolutely” Diana said as she watched the loving touch, her son nuzzling each one from him. She could not resist a smile; neither could Walker when another reminder struck him.
“Something else boys, you can also get married should be it, you chose to.” Diana giggled slightly as Isaac’s eyes seem to bulge out of his head she could tell it was something he had wished he could do for a very long time. Isaac pulled off the silver ring he had always worn on his middle finger, and dropped to both knees in front of the second couch he and Taylor sat on.
“We’ll have a lot of time through the rest of the tour but whenever we can get to this new world, to finally have what we knew was impossible here. I want you with me, please Taylor, Marry Me?” Isaac said softly as Taylor just chuckled.
“How’s this for and answer?” He said taking Isaac’s face kissing him, Diana and Walker just laughed as Diana said “That is a yes” As they pulled away, Isaac just smiled as slipping the silver ring on his brother’s hand, when something came to him.
“Wait, what about the fans, wouldn’t they get suspicious?” he asked, sitting back on the couch, pulling Taylor in his lap.
“No, I’ll just wear it when we’re alone, give it back to you for photo shoots, appearances, or concerts.” Taylor said, his parents nodding as he added. “Then again I don’t need any thing to remind me you love me, just this.” He said that as he began to kiss him, as Taylor pulled away he rested his head on Isaac’s shoulder. Isaac pressed a kiss to his forehead as he slipped his arms around his waist.
“Mom, wait what about Zac, Jessie, Avie, Mackie, and Zoë? How will we see them?” Taylor said suddenly. “We’ll come to visit, you can come here too.” Diana smiled as Walker suddenly caught what his son was getting at.
“If you’re talking about them being able to understand things, right now in their mind it would all be make believe; now Zac and Jessie we will have to talk to about it.” He said as Diana nodded.
“You won’t have to explain about us being in love to Zac, He figured it out by our little bit of a system we had.” Isaac said explaining the small set up of signals they used as ways of kissing or saying ‘I love you.’ Walker laughed and said “Joseph and I had the same system.”
Diana smiled, as she watched him and said. “I think we should explain about wives and girlfriends Walker.” Walker nodded as she continued.
“You are allowed by the realm to have one male mate and one female mate; you will always meet your female mate in the real world. We will have to be explain some things to them, some will leave you, some will not but fate in this world is not as controlled as is in the realm. So whether or not you will work out and take her as a wife is up to fate.” Diana said as the two nodded, though Taylor personally hates the idea of anyone else but Isaac.
“Is there a possibility we could meet them in the realm?” Isaac asked Diana nodded as she added, “It’s slim, but there have been a few who have.”
“Well boys that was all we wanted to discuss with you, I know it’s made you excited now.” Walker said as Taylor and Isaac chuckled both nodding.
“We love you, goodnight, and if you like we can make Zac sleep in the living room with Mack, I mean the girls are sleeping in here with us.” Diana said to hug them both as they got up.
“Mama, he knows about us and we’re not doing that, so he’ll sleep well without any kind of strange noises going on.” Taylor said, as his mother could not resist busting out laughing.
“Out comes the comedian, get him to bed before another wise crack comes out Ike.” Walker said patting his oldest son on the back.
Isaac lay there next to the beautiful soul he would soon call his mate, sleeping soundly as did their younger brother. His mind kept reflecting on the up coming wedding, and then the more exciting thing, becoming a father. Taylor would carry his child; their child the mental image was more breathtaking than the boy himself was. It was hard to fathom but in a sense, he could not be any more excited about it. He lightly moved a piece of fallen hair obstructing the soft angelic face of his love, the one person he could not spend a minute without in his life.
