Jade stopped outside a property shop and stared at the beautiful suburban houses. Gerard caught the look in her eye and followed the stare. It was a house in the suburban area of lower Manhattan. It had 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a huge back garden. Gerard’s eyes lowered to the price, but returning his stare to her eyes the look of love she shone was priceless.
”Darling? What are you looking at?” he teased.
”Well, I was thinking. We cant live in that flat forever.” Jade smiled up at him, “I’m not being pushy but with both our names on a place of our own, that we can decorate together and so on. Well it will make it feel more secure and real. Do you understand?”
”I understand you don’t like my décor” he stuck his tongue out. Turning to look at the house once more. “Well why that one? I was looking at one the other day and it was a bit grander” Gerard cut off and blushed quickly. Jade grinning and jumped into his arms.
”So you have been thinking of getting our own place then” she twirled her fingers on his hair, wrapping her legs around his waist. Gerard lifted her and walked closer to the window.
”I might have been! Come on shall we see if we can look at that one then?”

A day or so later Gerard stood looking around the rooms, the house was big enough, and Jade was jumping around like an excited child. Looking out over the garden Gerard fell in love with it, the previous owners had clearly looked after the place. All the rooms were decorated beautifully; even Jade couldn’t find anything she wanted to change. The garden had a pool and beautiful flowerbeds, along with a sun longing section and a barbecue. Gerard noticed a swing at the back and imagined a family growing up here. It had a warm cosy feeling to it. Without a second thought he placed a high offer on the building and left feeling cheerful.

It was still early evening as their apartment came into view, the sun hadn’t set yet, so they decided to drive down to Central park and watch the sun set, with ice cream. Sitting cuddled together on the same bench they had sat on a year ago.
”You know the last time we sat here I knew I wanted to be with you forever” Gerard spoke softly, stroking her hair. Jade smiled, “That’s the sort of talk that will get me into bed” she laughed, licking her ice cream. Sitting up she stretched out, her eyes fell upon a man throwing a small brown bundle into a cardboard box. Jade thought nothing of it until she saw a pair of eyes looking from the box, the man shoved the head roughly back in and began taping up the box. Lifting his arm he meant to throw it into the lake.
Jade was on her feet in seconds, running over to him, “What are you doing?” she screamed.
The man jumped, clearly unaware anyone had seen him. “Nothing” he coughed out, roughly. “Just taking care of business now be on your way”
Jade heard a pitiful meow from the box in his hand and snatched it from him. By now Gerard had walked over, he didn’t like the look of the man, or the anger on his face. The man spat on the floor and turned to her, “It’s a runt ok? I’m just getting rid of it, non one will buy a runt”
”You are not getting rid of it, your sick do you hear me. Killing an innocent creature like that.”
”Look lady, I’m not a cat person, I breed them, sell them or kill them. Either keep the little bastard or kill it, it makes no difference to me” With that the man walked off, disappearing behind the hedge. Jade knelt down and carefully opened the box, lifting out the tiny brown bundle. It was no bigger than her hand; it was chocolate brown with soft beautiful fur. Its huge eyes stared up and her and it meowed pitifully again. Jades heart melted and she cuddled it to her, turning to face Gerry. But he didn’t look amused, or interested in the cat.
”Don’t even think about it Jade, really don’t ask me” He shook his head, and stepped back from her, turning to walk away.
”Gerard please? Its all alone in the world, what else can I do with it?”
”Forget it I’m not a pet person” he turned back and noticed her stubborn face.
”Well I am” she cuddled the little kitten close to her, “What would you rather I just left it to be drowned?”
”Look Jade I’m not a pussy person” he regretted the words as soon as he had said them, and watched Jades eyebrow rise up, her mouth twitching into a cheeky smile.
”Fooled me” she laughed, Gerard growled at her, “Don’t you dare be vulgar”
”Gerard please, look at it.”
Silence fell over the park, the only sound was birds flying toward their homes Jade reached out and placed the kitten in his hands. The poor thing looked dwarfed by his large hands, it shivered and lay down, curling its little legs under itself. Gerard hand smiled, it was pretty cute. Jade spotted his eyes soften and walked away.
”Fine kill it then, your right we don’t need a kitten, lob it in the lake”
Gerard brought his hand closer to his chest, careful not to disturb the little bundle. Glancing at the lake, he looked from the kitten to jade, and sighed, placing the kitten back in her arms. “Fine” he moaned, “But it’s going to the vet first thing, god knows what the damn thing is carrying. It sleeps away from me, and you can look after it” Jade smiled, and stroked the kitten softly, following Gerard to the car.

Early morning, the vet looked the cat over. Gerard stood behind Jade as she stared down at the tiny kitten on the examining table. Jade could feel him edging over her to get a better look. The vet explained that this was a female kitten, and shouldn’t be from her mother yet. It had fleas but that could be solved with a spray of flea killer.
”With her still being this young, its likely she will latch onto whoever is closest to her, and see you as a mother figure, so you will have to feed her every 4 hours with a powdered milk ill prescribe. I’ll give her several shots to boost her immune system and strengthen her, she is half starved.” Jade turned to face Gerard, he was frowning and staring at the kitten.
”But she will be ok wont she?” he asked, reaching forward and stroking her.
”I thought you didn’t care,” laughed Jade, watching the vet prepare the needles.
”Well naturally I don’t but oh god don’t stab her!” Gerard turned away and made a little cry of his own as the vet stuck a needle in the cat. “Aww did you heard her little whine” he asked, crouching down to be on eye level with the table. Jade shook her head, and stroking Gerard’s hair.
”First pet” she explained to the Vet, feeling like she was excusing her sons behaviour rather than her fiancés. Once back in the car, they drove to a pet store and bought a bed for the kitten. Jade picked out a pink one, with 3 floors so she could climb and scratch. Gerard grabbed some fluffy toys; one was almost the same size as her. Together they chose a turquoise collar, that wouldn’t fit her for a few months, and Gerard picked up a leaflet on getting the cat chipped. As they left the shop Gerard suddenly remembered something and ran to fetch a cat litter box and some scented cat litter.
”What shall we call her? I think you should pick a name Ger, since you love her so much” Jade squeezed his hand softly. “So much for ‘I don’t want a cat’”
”I didn’t, but she is kind of bewitching. Like you.” He kissed her temple. “I cant think of names I’m useless, you choose one”
”Aright I’m going to name her after a Disney character. Someone small and cute and loveable”
”How about Grumpy from Snow White” Gerard laughed, then saw Jades face and coughed, “Ok then oohh how about tinker bell?”
”Its too long”
”Aright Tink.” Gerard smiled. “Yeah I like Tink.”
”Tink it is then”

Back at the apartment, Jade cooked dinner while Gerard syringe fed Tink; she promptly fell asleep on his chest and purred contently. Gerard was carefully stroking her fur, she was only tiny, he didn’t want to press to hard, smelling dinner he lifted the kitten gently from his chest, but she dug her claws into his jumper and refused to let go.
”Jade” he shouted, “Help, get your bloody cat off me”
Jade laughed when she saw Gerard pulling at the cat, trying to free himself of her.
”Oh she is my cat now is she?”
Walking over she carefully detangled the cat’s claws from him and placed her in her bed. Gerard rubbed his chest, “I was being nice to her the little witch. Oh here she comes again” Gerard winced as the cat jumped up and clawed his leg, pulling herself up him with surprising strength for her size, until she was by his stomach, once there she sat and waited for him to lie back.
”She hates me” he whined.
”I don’t think she does Ger” Jade stared at the little kitten whose eyes hadn’t left Gerard. “Here let me try something” Pulling Gerard jumper over his head, she placed it in the bed, then placed the kitten on it. Tink walked around sniffing the floor then curled up and purred once more, Jade lifted a sleeve and covered her with it. “I think she loves you”.
”What?” Gerard was poking at the little bloody scratch marks on his chest; Jade kneeled over and kissed them better.
”I think it’s your scent. The vet said something about her latching on. You’re her mummy”
Gerard smiled and stared at the little bundle, “I’m a mummy” he repeated, “Ok, but I liked that jumper!”

Later, Gerard pulled Jades shirt over her head and kissed all down her body, pressing he against her he kissed her mouth. Sucking her lips softly he tasted her and groaned with pleasure. Peeling her knickers down, he lifted her from the bed and carried her to the bathroom, dipping her slowly into the bath.
Earlier, he had lit candles and dimmed the lights. Jade sank into the water and sighed, reaching for a glass of wine, she watched Gerard remove his trousers and stroked her nipples.
Gerard looked around the bathroom, Jade had changed the colour and had a Jacuzzi style bath fitted, it took up more space but they could fit in it comfortably together and that was all that mattered. It was no longer blue, but a light green. Turning back to look at Jade, he watched stroking her breasts and turned away, god she was tempting. Pulling his socks of, he sat down and looked at his feet.
”Do you have toe fluff again” Jade laughed, leaning over the side of the bed.
Gerard smiled, pulling the runaway bits of sock from between his toes, “Better then belly button fluff missy”
”It was once, and I’m certain it was you, you probably stuck your toe in there while I slept.”
”If I was going to stick anything in you while you slept it wouldn’t be a toe” he winked and stood to his feet, walking toward Jade and kneeling by the bath. Jade reached over and kissed him, then leant back, sticking her leg out of the water she pressed her foot against his penis, leaving a big wet patch. Moving her foot up and down, Gerard groaned at the contact and the warm water, being pressed against him. Jade leaned forward and pulled his boxers down, releasing his excitement, she grabbed the tip and led him into the bath. Once seated Gerard calmed down a bit, and relaxed, sticking his head under the water and rubbing his hair. Jade followed him under and grabbed his face, kissing him unexpectedly, he gulped down some bathwater before kissing her back and choked as they hit the surface.
”Sorry” laughed jade, “I just wanted a kiss and you were all submerged”
”Lets try it again then” he smiled, reaching forward he kissed her and lowered them both under water. When they ran out of breath they popped back up.
”It feels weird” Gerry stuck his tongue out and wiggled it round. Jade floated forward and pushed Gerard’s legs apart, rising up and kissing him, she grabbed his penis. Gerard jerked and pulled her to him, pushing himself forward so her legs could wrap around him. Sitting on his lap Jade grabbed the soap and washed his chest down, massaging his nipples and moving up to massage his neck. Gerard did the same but spent longer on her chest and skipped her neck completely, kissing her again he lifted her up and thrust himself into her. Jade yelled out in surprise.
”Gotcha” he laughed, and pushed her against the other side of the bath.
”Not quite” Jade tightened her legs around him and squeezed them tightly; Gerard yelled out in pain, “Argh, stop, that’s quite a grip” Sitting back in his original position, he held Jade firmly down so he still filled her. Jade rose up slightly and back down, watching his eyes close and his mouth open. Waiting a few more minutes she rose higher and then slowly pushed down, giggling at his groan.
”God, Jade fuck me” he moaned out, “please”.
Jade smiled and rose higher, slamming herself down on him faster she felt his hands encircle her waist and control her. As she rode him, he yelled out in pleasure, gripping her tightly about the waist, and bucking himself into her.
Gerard roared as his orgasm hit him, and Jade purred as hers flew over her. Lying in against hic chest, she rested her head on his shoulder and hugged him. Still inside her, Gerard hugged her back and sank a bit lower into the water until it was covering them both.
They lay there whispering about everything and nothing, and both froze when the door opened by itself. Jade looked wildly around, her eyes fell on a brown lump beside the bath. Tink cocked her head and meowed.
Jade reached down and lifted her up so she could see Gerard. Then placed the kitten on the side of the bath, which was thick enough so Tink could sit and watch her owner.
”I can’t have two minutes with my own man anymore. Got yourself another woman have you Gerard”
”Yes me and wee Tinky have an unspoken language. So unspoken we don’t speak it, but there’s a connection”
Jade kissed his cheek and stepped out of the bath, grabbing a towel.
”Hey take her” Gerard moaned, “She keeps looking at my penis its not right”
Jade lifted the kitten, holding her to her chest, “Don’t waste your time Tink not much to see”
”Liar” Once Jade had left, Gerard reached up to a shelf and pulled down a book. Liking nothing more than reading in the bath, he loved a few moments alone.

When he was dry, he pulled on some baggy Pyjama bottoms and strolled about the place. Yelling as he felt a sharp pain in his foot, looking down he saw Tink had buried her claw in his toe, and glared at her.
”Don’t shout at her,” Jade yelled, “She was chasing a bit of string hanging from your bottoms until you stopped”
Gerard turned to look at the back of his pants. “Well at least she has perked up” he said, diving on the couch beside Jade who was now lying comfortably in one o Gerard T-shirts and a pair of his boxers. “I mean she looks healthier, what are you watching?”
”Ger its Thursday, you know what I am watching. Just like every other Thursday when you try and steal the remote I am watching Sex in the City.”
”It’s no fun when they’re not shagging. It’s just about women moaning about men. Pointless”
”Well Sod off then.”
Tink dived up the couch and settled herself on Jades knee, ignoring Gerard and facing the TV.
”Traitor” he sneered, but smiled as she turned and meowed at him.
”Don’t smile, she is saying shut up”
”Oh is she now?” Gerard turned his head and looked up at Jade.
”Yes, she says Carrie is confused about Big and she needs to call him, I know that, Tink knows that, hell even you would know that”
”Shut up Skank”
Gerard rolled his eyes and moved Tink, so he could lie in Jades lap. Turning on his side he curled up and stared at the TV. Reaching out and stroking Tink when she climbed on to his arm and settled down again. Jade absentmindedly stroked Gerard’s hair while she watched TV; it was a habit she had picked up. Gerard found it relaxing and purred along with Tink.
As the credits closed he blinked several times trying to wake up.
”Was I good? Was I quiet,” he asked turning on his back and looking up at Jade. She smiled back down at him and stroked his cheek. “For once”
Gerard stood up and stretched, “Shall we stay awake an watch south park? Or crash it?”
”I don’t mind” Jade said, yawning, “We can stay here for a while, get the blanket. Where did I put it?”
Gerard pulled it from under the couch, and lifted Tink up placing her in her bed. The kitten barely moved, and stayed firmly asleep. Shoving Jade out of the way, Gerard lay on the couch and held his arms out for jade to lie upon him.
”I cant believe how small she is, and she’s a really deep sleeper too” Jade realised Ger was referring to Tink and silently agreed, “I thought that when I got to know you”
”Jade just one more attack on my penis and I will deny you access for a week”
Jade widened her eyes, “Its beautiful” she grinned, kissing him and hugging him, “I love it more than you”
”But it’s a part of me ha” Gerard laughed, “Well now you know why I love you ha”
Gerard gritted his teeth, “Your mean”
”you love it”
Jade pulled the blanket over them and they both shushed each other as South Park began.
