Jordan leaned on the railing and sipped his beer as he watched her dance. She was so crazy he laughed to himself as she tossed her hair seductively to the pulsing music. She and her friends seemed well on their way to being plastered and he wondered breifly if this was a good idea. What if something came out.
"So are we going down there to them" Chad said walking up
"Not just yet" Jordan smiled
She hadn't caught his eye in the crowd yet and he didn't want to surprise her. He watched them walk back to their table and he saw her scan the room again. He waved his hand causually in an attempt to catch her eye. She finally saw him and made an extravagant head motion toward the restrooms and he laughed
"I will be right back" he said nudging Chad to hold his beer.
"Yeah right" Chad said as he rolled his eyes
Jordan made his way through the dancing crowd being careful to avoid her table of friends. He wasn't sure what she wanted but he had to do this her way. When he found the restrooms were he couldn't resist stepping back out of view to watch her for a moment. Her hair had grown so much since they had first met and it now skimmed the top of her shoulders. He watched her tuck it behind her ear nervously. She was looking so hot tonight he knew it would be hard keeping his feelings in check. She was so anxious about letting her friends know about them and he didn't want to ruin her moment. He could tell she was getting more nervous by the way she was fidgeting and shifting her weight so he decided to end her torcher. He casually walked over to her and shot her, her favorite smirk. Her eyes flashed seductively and he knew that she was wasted.
"Fancy meeting you here" she said with a smile that drove him wild. He couldn't stop his actions. He pressed her against the wall with his lower body and laughed at her sharp intake of breath.
"I am glad I saw you here too" he breathed in her ear and she arched her back pressing her body hard against his. He leaned in and was shocked when she nearly choked him with her tongue.
"Glad I showed up when I did, I would hate for someone else to have gotten that greeting" he said as his head finished spinning.
"Sorry" she giggled drunkly "You just look so damn hot"
"I will show you hot" he growled as he pinned her back against the wall and kissed her neck agressively
He felt her body hum against his and he wasn't sure what the people passing around them were thinking but at this point he really didn't care. He had all but lost himself in the smell of her as he kissed his way down her collar bone when she stiffened and put her hands up on his shoulders. At her shocked intake of breath he leaned against her protectively and looked up at the wall.
"Uh.. hey Kels...I well....I had to go to the bath room and...." he felt her take a deep breath and he stiffened at the reveal of their visitor. Damn it he knew this was not how she wanted them to find out. What then hell was he going to do now he thought as he studied the wall.
"Who's your friend" Kels said slyly as she nodded at Jordan's still turned back.
"Um well....Kels listen, I didn't" she paused looking pleadingly in to Kels' confused face "I didn't want you to find out this way" she forced out.
"Find out what?" Kels said in confusion
Right on cue Jordan turned around.
"hey Kels, I have heard so much about you," he paused to grin "its no nice to finally meet you" he said sticking out his hand
Kels stood there in utter shock. She looked wildly from Kristy to Jordan and back to Kristy as if she just didn't know what to do or say.
"I....um.....I mean....well..." Kels stammered
Kristy pushed Jordan aside and drew Kels into a hug "I am so sorry, I wanted to tell you I just.... I mean... I really didn't know how"
Kels was staring wildly at Jordan as if she was waiting for him to say it was all just a joke and he wasn't really who she thought he was.
Jordan pushed Kristy aside and took Kels by the shoulders
"Listen please don't be mad at her, I told her she couldn't tell anyone"
Kels took one look at Jordan and closed her eyes. Kristy noticed her body relax and screamed "Oh shit Jordan grab her"
Jordan grabbed Kels around the shoulders gingerly to keep her from falling on the floor and with Kristy's help eased her off to the side.
"Damn thats a first" Jordan said with a concerned look
"God I didn't know she would pass out" Kristy said fanning her.
After a few moments Kels started coming around. She held a hand to her head "What the hell?" she said looking around confused.
She looked up into Jordan's face and then at Kristy. It took her a moment to realize where she was and then she laughed as she tried to get up
"You should sit for a minute" Jordan said holding her back from rising
"Oh my god I can't believe I just fucking passed out" Kels said looking pleadingly at Kristy.
Kristy laughed "its ok its a lot for you to handle at one time" she said rubbing her shoulder comfortingly.
Kels looked back at Jordan. "So you shagging my girl" she laughed
He gave her a what the fuck face "um shagging, well I guess..." he trailed off confused as Kristy and Kels broke out into fits of laughter.
Kels punched Kristy in the shoulder "You bitch, I knew something was going on and you didn't tell me"
Kristy shrugged "I was sworn to secrecy and it absolutly killed me believe it" she said rubbing at her arm.
Jordan helped her up "Sorry I did make her promise not to tell anyone" he said eyeing her over to make sure everything was ok
Kristy looked at Kels pleadingly "I didn't want you to find out this way, I promise" she finished looking at the floor
"Awe hon, its no bother, I just need details" she said with an evil grin
Jordan gave them a shocked look as they both laughed.
"So how are we going to tell the others then?" Kristy said looking around.
"Oh yeah the others, I completely forgot about them for a moment" Kels said looking around "Its a wonder no one has come looking for us"
"I better stay here until you have broke the news to them so we avoid more of the same" Jordan said with a laugh
"Great now he knows me as the freak who passed out" Kels said with her arms in a great gesture
"No I don't" Jordan said with a laugh "Just don't do it again ok" he said with an arm on her
"Shall we go break the news" Kristy said nervously
"Yeah they should be good and plastered now so they will just think its a joke" Kels laughed as they started to walk off
"I will go get Chad and be right back here" Jordan called after them as they pushed there way through the crowd.
They approached the table.
"So they found their way back" Liz said eyeing them suspiously "Where have you been?"
"Um well...." Kristy started looking at the table and nervously attacking the edge of a cocktail napkin
"We ran into Kristy's friends" Kels said brightly
"Really where are they" Vanessa said curiously as they all looked around.
"Listen" Kristy started with her hands on the table "I have to tell you something first so you don't go into shock" she finished eye Kels amusingly
They all looked at her with intense anticipation.
"well get on with it" Sue said after a long pause.
"it's Jordan" Kels blurted out "Kristy is fucking shagging Jordan" she almost laughed.
They all sat back in shock.
"Isn't that redundant" Liz said with a laugh not really believing what she heard. They were joking and she knew it.
"Kristy, are you telling us that you have been bedding Jordan all this time and didn't tell us" Sue said sternly
Kristy's eyes welled reflexively "I so wanted to tell you but I promised and" she paused to steady herself "well I didn't think you would believe me if I told you"
"Well where is he then?" Liz said confidiently still not believing what she was hearing.
Kristy shot them all confused looks as they waited. "Ok well I will go get him then" she said with a pause.
"Tell him we want a turn" Sue called after her, obviously thinking this was a joke.
She found Jordan and Chad standing in front of the restrooms where she had left them.
"are they ready" Chad said laughingly. Jordan had just obviously told him about Kel's reaction
"I guess" she shrugged "I believe that they think its really all a joke"
"Oh god" Jordan sighed as he followed her to the table.
When she walked up with them everyone just stared. She didn't know what to say. Part of her wanted to shout Ha I told you so and stick out her tongue but she knew that wouldn't be funny at the moment. Liz jumped down off her stool and yanked Kristy off to the side. Vanessa and Sue followed them and Kristy was dragged away.
"Ok this is not funny, if you are trying to kill me of shock, its working" Liz hissed at her over the noise
"Liz I..." Kristy began but Sue cut her off
"I can't believe that you wouldn't even warn us about this" she said waving her arms around
"I know I would have dressed a lot cutier" Vanessa added motioning down to her clothes.
Kristy laughed nervously. "I really didn't want you guys to find out this way but how else could I tell you" she finished with a shrug.
"With him not around would be a start" Liz said looking over to the table where Kels was chatting with them.
Kristy could sense the tension in the air and it was her worst fear. She was so afraid of loosing them over this.
"Look, I didn't want this to be awkward for you guys but to be honest I didn't think you would really believe me if I told you!" Kristy said pleadingly at all of them
"well that sucks" Sue said "we would never think you were a liar"
This was just going all wrong and Kristy knew it. "Guys please, I am so sorry it turned out this way, can we just try to make it work" she said looking around at all of them almost in tears.
Sue gave her a hug "We are just in a bit of shock we are not mad hon". She traded off with Liz "Yeah I am sorry, I didn't mean to sound mad, I just can't handle this"
"Yeah girlie I am so happy for you if this is what you want" Vanessa said rubbing her back "because if you don't you can send him my way" they all laughed and Kristy breathed a sigh of relief. It didn't go as well as she had hoped but she thought they would pull through it.
"well lets go join the others and get to know you boyfriend" Liz said in a mocking tone as she pushed her in the direction of the table.
Kristy went glancing back reluctanly at the others.
When they arrived Jordan and Chad stood up nervously.
"Listen ladies, I am sorry for this, this is really all my fault" he began as Chad just stared in curious amusement.
"Don't worry about it" Sue waved him off "I am Sue by the way and this is Vanessa and Liz" she said introducing them
They all shook hands and Jordan and Chad thanked them all for their work on the site.
"Screw the site" Vanessa said with a wave "we want to know details" she finished leveling her gaze at Kristy
"Like what?" Kristy said with a shrug
Oh god Jordan thought, here was the part that he hated, the personal stuff. He would just have to grin and bare it for her.
"So how long have you two been together?" she asked animatedly
"Since last November" Jordan said shyly
"Chapel Hill show" Kristy amended as she exchanged knowing looks between all of them
"I just have so many questions" Sue said shaking her head with a grin and looking between them amused
"and I am sure she will answer them" Jordan said with a grin at Kristy "Just nothing in print please" he laughed
"Oh so I can share the pictures then" Kristy said nudging him
"there are pictures?" Kels shouted out loudly in amazement
Jordan went white "No not those kind thank you" he said back as the rest of them giggled uncontrolably at his astonishment.
"Oh its all making sense now" Liz said with a smile
"what is" Chad said stepping over to her
Liz gave him a suspious look and then turned back to Kristy and Jordan.
"So you are the one in those pictures" she said with a grin
"You mean the one that doesn't exist, yep thats me" Kristy said with a surprising cool look over at Jordan
"Look" Jordan said with his hands on the table and a look of frustration "we have been through this so many times, we just can't pose for press photos at the moment" he said running his hands through his hair.
They all staired at him in amazement at his apparent aggitation.
"Listen J, don't be so damn up tight" Chad said taking a drink of his beer
"Sorry, I just get pissed when she thinks that I don't care" he said looking defensively over at Kristy.
“So you have been with him since November” Vanessa asked Kristy as if she had just caught on
“Yeah” Jordan said throwing an arm around Kristy and kissing her on the cheek.
“I just can’t believe this” Kels said with a laugh as she smacked the table.
