Kristy’s cell rang as she moaned. She ran her hands through her hair as she dug around on the floor for the noisy little annoyance.
“What” she huffed with a hand covering her eyes.
“So sorry to wake you up from you post sexual bliss” Sue said from the other line.
Kristy laughed wearily “You mean from my hung over ass on the couch” she said throwing back the covers and locating her PJ pants.
“We are down stairs, so get your ass up” she said brightly
“Come on up and I will get ready, its room 934” Kristy said walking over to the kitchenette to start the small hotel coffee pot. She cleaned up her make shift bed and put everything away in the closet. By the time the girls got there she was watching TV and working on her first cup of coffee. They all came in and sat around her. She laughed at all of their anxious looks.
“They are still asleep” Kristy said with a grin.
“Thank god” Vanessa said eyeing both doors.
As if on cue Chad came out of his room in nothing but his socks and boxers with his hair mashed flat to one side.
“Oh good you made coffee” he said walking blindly over to the pot as if she was the only one in the room.
“Chad, um, the girls are taking me sight seeing today” she said gesturing around to them with a grin on her face.
He absently sipped his cup eyeing them all blankly. He turned back to his room.
“Well you ladies have fun” he said with an absent wave.
When he closed the door Liz and Kels made retching sounds at the same time.
“God, I could have gone my entire fucking life and never, ever seen that” Liz said covering her face as the rest of the girls dissolved into uncontrollable giggles.
“Oh come now you know that made you hot” Char said punching her on the arm.
Liz shot her the famous be careful look and Char just laughed.
“So where are we headed today” Kristy said sipping her coffee.
“Where ever you like” Sue said absently “But I want to know why the hell you are sleeping on the couch”
Kristy stared around at all of them. She could tell they were waiting expectantly on her answer. “well” she shrugged “Jordan keeps asking me the same thing and well” she shrugged again “I guess I am not sure” she finished looking around at all them with a pleading look.
“Ok, so does he snore or make gross noises in his sleep” Kels asked as if she couldn’t understand.
“Oh god the sleep farter rumor is true” Char said with a hand to stifle the giggles.
Kristy shrugged awkwardly again “No, No its not that” she paused “well I really wouldn’t know, as soon as he falls asleep, I bolt”
“Well that is just” Vanessa broke off as Jordan’s door opened. He stepped into the room rubbing his sleep matted hair in nothing but his boxers. He looked around at all of them as he stretched. “Oh sorry” he yawned “I didn’t know we had company, let me go get decent” he said turning around and closing the door.
“Now that I could look at everyday of my life” Char said grabbing Sue’s arm as they both swooned with hands over their hearts.
“Now tell me again why in god’s name you wouldn’t want to sleep with that every night” Sue said pointing back to the door.
“Yeah that is a good question” Jordan said coming out in a tee shirt and basketball shorts.
Sue blushed red as she turned back to Kristy.
“I need to get ready for our little outing” Kristy said quickly as he sat down beside her.
She kissed his cheek as he eyed her. “What? I need a shower” she said getting up and moving to the bedroom.
“And she avoids the subject again” Jordan said as he watched her close the door.
“Good at that isn’t she” Liz asked as they all exchanged glances.
They sat in silence for a moment and just stared at each other. The silence stretched and Jordan prayed that someone would say something.
“so you have been with her since November” Vanessa said as she turned to face him.
“Yeah” he replied and couldn’t help the grin on his face.
“Who approached who about this” Kels asked leaning up and suddenly Jordan felt like he was being interrogated.
“Well, I guess it was kind of mutual” he shrugged as he looked around at their penetrating stares “It really just happened”
“Why her?” Liz asked point blank
Jordan visibly jerked. He had asked himself that very question many times, why was he so hung up on her. His mind flashed back to all the times they had been together and he smiled again.
“It was just something I can’t explain, I was just drawn to her” he said as he gazed off into no where smiling.
“What is the situation with your wife?” Sue asked and Jordan felt all the air leave from the room.
“Umm, well” he paused to swallow “I guess it’s the same” he looked up at all of them “I haven’t really seen or talked to her for a few weeks” he shifted awkwardly.
“So you are still with her” Char asked trying to clarify his dodged answer.
“Yeah I guess technically I am” he said with a forced grin at her. He wiped it off when her face didn’t warm.
“Are you planning to leave her” Vanessa asked and now he felt like running from the room.
“I haven’t really sat down and thought about it” he tried to mask the shake in his voice “But I am sure that it lies in the future”
“So you are planning to stay with Kristy” Liz asked and he felt like his head was spinning
“Um well I would like to stay with her as long as she will have me but she has some issues with her husband as well” Jordan said trying to take the focus off of him.
“Yeah but she has left him to be with you” Sue pointed out blankly
“I guess so” Jordan said trying to see a way out of this barrage of questioning.
“Well I am going to say this” Kels said drawing his attention back “If you hurt her or cheat on her, you will have us to deal with” she finished pointing around at all their stony faces.
“Ok, Ok” Jordan said with a laugh “Is the interrogation over now” he asked
“I guess that will satisfy us for now” Char said with a nod “that is until we have heard her side of things”
Jordan let out a small laugh and when they didn’t look a bit humorous he grin nervously.
“Well I guess I need coffee” he said getting up to fix him a cup.
He lingered in the small kitchenette as they talked in whispered conversations. He had no idea how protective they were. He had known they were good friends and talked all the time but he had no earthly idea they were this close. And the worst part about it was they controlled his web site. If he wasn’t careful they could fuck his name in cyber space and there wasn’t a damn thing he could do about it. He looked over as the bedroom door opened. She stepped out and he found that he was holding his breath. She was just in jeans and a pale blue button up but the way it reflected in her eyes made him sigh. God she was so beautiful and she was his. She skipped over to him and got another cup of coffee.
“Are you going with us today?” she asked with a grin as he kissed her cheek.
“Sure, as long as we are at Hard Rock by five, I will go any where” he said looking over at the smiling girls.
“Well get your ass ready then we aren’t waiting all damn day on you” she said as he moved over to the bedroom. She took her second cup of coffee over to the couch and sat down.
“So” Kels said as they all grinned “Come on spill it”
Kristy took a deep breath and started at the beginning.
