A/N: So fighting with my computer apparently didn't kill my muse last night. It just took a while to be able to post this new chapter. Before I get to the actual chapter, some shameless promotion. Go read Emo_Koala and Rogue_Vampyre 's stories! They're great! And another take on the characters and story! Thank you all for reading and reviewing, you make my day each time I see the words of love! *hugs* New chapter!

Rebecca walked up to the door of Jon’s flat and knocked, standing back a little. She had wanted to check in on Spencer to see how he was doing before rushing over to the lot where they would be shooting the new video. After a moment she heard shuffling from behind the door and then smiled as a rather haggard Ryan opened the door, doing his best to stifle a yawn. She knew that he had been up most of the night worried about where Spence was, and then had probably stayed up the remainder of the night as well.
“Morning sunshine.”
“Right, Becca. Besides, it’s not morning any more.”
“Yeah, don’t remind me. I still have a video shoot to get to. I just wanted to come and see how the oaf was doing right quick before rushing over to the lot.”
“The last time I checked he was still passed out, but go on up.”
“Thanks, Ry.”
Rebecca walked into the flat, leaving a kiss on Ryan’s cheek before heading off in the direction of the guest room that Spencer had been sharing with Brendon. She knocked lightly on the door, not sure if Brendon would be asleep or not. After not hearing any response, she opened the door quietly and stepped inside, smiling as she caught sight of Spencer still asleep, while Brendon was sitting near the window with his computer. She walked over and hugged Brendon, giggling as he jumped.
“Jesus, Becca!”
“Shh, don’t wake the invalid. What are you up to?”
Rebecca laughed as Brendon scoffed at her comment about Spencer, giving a shrug.
“It’s nothing, just looking to see what other juicy gossip you’ve been spreading around the internet.”
“What do you mean, me? I have done no such thing!”
“Sure, Becca. And I’m the Easter Bunny.”
“Really, Mr. Easter Bunny? Then why haven’t you brought me any chocolate the last few years?”
Rebecca giggled along with Brendon as he laughed at her comment. They both turned towards the bed as they heard a mumbling. Rebecca walked over and lightly sat on the edge of the bed, not wanting to make too much of a stir, knowing that Spencer would more than likely have to throw up first thing, despite the fact that he would have little to nothing in his system. She noticed a wash basin with water and a rag sitting on a nearby table and wet the rag, moving to where she could wash his face.
“Morning, Spence. How are you feeling?”
“Like my head is about to split and my insides are trying to come out. What are you doing here?”
“I dropped by to make sure a certain helpless oaf was still alive, since I couldn’t do without my partner in crime. After all, we still haven’t finished our plot for Brendon.”
“I’ll be leaving you two. I don’t want to hear anything that involves you two plotting with me as a subject.”
Rebecca laughed as Brendon quickly closed his computer and left the room. She leaned over and gave Spencer a quick kiss on the cheek, the damp rag still on his forehead.
“I’m glad you’re awake. Although I’m still a little upset with you. So you’re not home free yet.”
“Glad to know you’re still speaking to me. ...... Bucket, please.”
Rebecca quickly grabbed the waste basket that had been moved to the edge of the bed, no doubt for easy access for throwing up, which is precisely what Spencer did, or would have, if there was anything for him to throw up. After a few minutes of no results other than draining him even more so and almost making Rebecca sick, he slumped back on the bed.
“Sorry, babe.”
“It’s not your fault, Reby. But thanks.”
Rebecca clicked her tongue and took the rag and gently washed his face again, humming lightly out of nervous habit. She hated seeing any of her friends sick, especially when it involved drugs, as she had been through some of that with some of her closest loved ones, not to mention herself.
“What song is that?”
“Oh, it’s the new one I’m directing the video for. Petey’s been playing it nonstop, so along with hearing it all the time at home, I have been working on it in film class with my assistant, April.”
“Right. I knew that. How mad at me are you?”
“What kind of question is that, Spence?”
“I just wanted to know how mad you were with me. You know for last night and all.”
“Shh, don’t worry about it right now. All you should be working on is getting your strength back. How about some soup? I’ll go raid Jon’s kitchen to see what junk he has to eat.”
“Uh uh. No food right now. Food is the enemy. But could you get me some water?”
“Sure, be right back.”
Rebecca walked down to the kitchen and smiled at Cat, who was sitting at the table with a mug of coffee, which they had only recently gotten her to drink. She walked over to the cabinets and pulled out a glass and put a few ice cubes in before filling it with water.
“Hi, Cat.”
“Ello Becca. Taking care of our invalid?”
“For just a little bit. I have the video shoot to run off to soon. But I thought I would come and see how the oaf is doing.”
“How sweet. I’m glad you reminded me of the shoot, or I would have completely forgotten, and Ryan too. He’s been pacing around all morning, even after not sleeping a wink.”
“Poor guy. Well, I’m going to go tend our sickie. See ya later then.”
“Ciao.”
Rebecca grinned and headed back towards the room, narrowly missing Jon who was coming out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel. She laughed and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before getting back to the sick room. She walked over and sat back on the bed, helping Spencer sit up without getting sick so he could drink the water.
“Not too fast. I don’t want you to just lose this as quickly as you’re getting it in your system.”
“You sound like my mom.”
“So you’ve told me. But I’ll take that as a compliment. You’re mom’s a great lady.”
“I’m sure she would love to hear that. Thanks again, Reby.”
“Of course. Besides, I owe you one from the benefit.”
Rebecca muttered a curse as her cell started to ring. She pulled it out and answered it, only to hear her brother’s voice on the other end.
“Yes?”
“Becca, where are you? I thought we said the shoot would start half an hour ago. Everyone’s down here. Well everyone except for the director. Aka, you.”
“Yes, Petey, I know. I’m heading over there right now. I just got stuck in some traffic after grabbing a quick bite for breakfast. I was out all night, remember? So I wouldn’t try to hassle me without my daily dose of caffeine, if you want to survive.”
“Well, just hurry up, Becca. Everyone is getting antsy, and worried about where you were.”
“I’m fine. But I should get off of here, traffic and talking on the cell isn’t very smart, you know.”
“Right. Later.”
“Later, Petey.”
Rebecca turned back to Spencer with a small grin. She quickly leaned over and kissed him on the cheek after redoing the wet rag on his forehead. She absently tucked the covers back around him before standing.
“I gotta go. Just lay there and play the invalid today so you can get better.”
“Thanks, Reby, for everything.”
“Of course. Now go back to sleep.”
Rebecca smiled as she turned and walked out of the room to get over to the video shoot before her brother sent out a search party for her.
