"When you smile I can feel
All my passion unfolding
Your hand brushes mine
And a thousand sensations
Seduce me."

Kelly shifted uncomfortably as she stood in front of Carrie's door, her heels already bugging her. She pressed the doorbell once, tugging on her dress, not at all thrilled at how short it was. She looked up as the door opened, a smile forming at the sight in front of her.
"You look amazing," she commented as Carrie walked out of the house.
"Hello to you too," Carrie giggled, giving her a hug, careful not to mess up either of their make-up. "So, where's this surprise?"
Kelly grinned broadly as she looked over her shoulder. Carrie's eyes traveled to the end of her driveway where a white carriage with red seats waited, the driver in a hat in tails patiently holding the reigns to the two white horses.
"Kelly," Carrie said in awe. "Seriously?"
"You like it?"
"It's gorgeous," she said, taking her hand and pulling her towards it. The driver got down, helping both ladies into the carriage. "You definitely know how to make an entrance."
Kelly shrugged, "I've always wanted to ride in one of these."
"Me too," Carrie smiled as Kelly scooted closer to her. "So, Jason and Ashley are just gonna meet us there?"
"Yea, I got them a limo to make up for them having to use the back door."
"Yea, my manager and assistant weren't too thrilled about this either," Carrie commented.
"Oh?"
"Yea, Laura thinks you're a bad influence on me," she smirked.
"What about your assistant?"
"She's known me for longer, so she knows the real me."
"So really, it's you that's corrupting me," Kelly nodded.
"Not yet," Carrie shook her head. "I've gotta size you up first. See if you can handle it."
"And so far?"
"You've definitely got spunk."
Kelly laughed openly, the raspiness of it making Carrie smile as she wrapped an arm around the Texan, squeezing her shoulders playfully.
"But seriously, this is amazing Kell, thanks so much," Carrie said, motioning to the carriage they were seated in.
"I'm glad you like it," Kelly smiled as she caught her eye
Carrie returned it, giving her a small wink before turning back to enjoy their ride.
"So how kick ass of a date am I?" Kelly asked as the horses paused at a red light.
"I'd say you're definitely high up there on the kick ass scale, yea," Carrie nodded.
"Good, cause I don't pull this kinda stuff off for just anybody, you know."
"I feel special."
"You should," Kelly replied as Carrie gave her knee a gentle squeeze.

"Having fun yet?" Carrie asked through her smile.
"I can't feel my face," Kelly replied as the shouts of their names only increased while they stood in the middle of the red carpet posing for pictures. "Regretting not having anybody else here yet?"
"I could use someone to get us out of this, yea," she nodded.
"Wanna make a break for it?"
"In those shoes?"
"I can take them off," she replied as they moved several feet down the red carpet before pausing once more for pictures.
"I don't want to be the reason Ashley kills you," Carrie shook her head.
"Yea, but there'd be no paparazzi in heaven, so think of it as doing me a favor."
Carrie laughed, poking Kelly's side with her hand that was wrapped around her waist as they posed for the cameras, making her giggle.
"If we don't get in there soon, we'll be late," Kelly commented.
"How can we be late for our own party?"
"I'm hungry."
"Now that makes more sense," Carrie laughed. "Come on," she said, moving her hand to the small of her back and guiding the two of them down the carpet. She gave one last polite wave to the reporters before entering the building.

"So, have I told you how beautiful you look?" Carrie asked as they were ushered to their table.
"Care..." Kelly fussed.
"Well, you do," Carrie smiled. "Ashley was completely right about the dress."
"I wish it was longer," Kelly commented.
"It's fine," Carrie assured her.
"Well, then I wish I had your legs."
Carrie laughed, "Why?"
"Because look at them," Kelly motioned. "You can pull this off so much better than I can."
"Kell.." Carrie eyed her seriously.
"No, I'm not beating myself down. I'm merely stating the truth. You have great legs."
Carrie felt her face flush, "Well, in that case...thanks?"
Kelly laughed, bumping her playfully as they arrived at their table where the rest of their group was gathered.
"Made it here in one piece?" Laura asked cautiously as the two of them sat down.
The lights dimmed as Kelly motioned for their server to take their drink orders. There was a collective 'aw' heard throughout the crowd, and she looked up to find a picture projected on the wall behind the stage. It was from the commercial shoot. Kelly was on her knees, holding a cup to Carrie's chest while the children looked on excitedly. The next one was of Alex standing in between the two of them, trying the cup out for herself while Kelly and Carrie smiled at each other over her head.
Kelly felt herself smiling at the photo. A soft hand slipped into her own under the table, and she gave it a gentle squeeze.
Carrie leaned over to whisper in her ear, "She's gonna really love this."
"Yea," Kelly nodded, her eyes stinging.

"You only hold me up like this
Cause you don't know who I really am."

"So, what can I get for you two to drink?" the waiter asked, kneeling in between the two Idols chairs.
"What do you like Care?" Kelly asked, curiously.
"Oh, um, I'm not supposed to be drinking," Carrie admitted.
"Twelve step program?" Kelly smiled.
"No," she laughed. "I took some medicine earlier."
"For what?"
"Oh...uh, just had a sinus infection when I woke up. I was all stuffy," Carrie explained.
"Well, if you took it this morning, you should be fine now, right?"
"Um, yea...I guess..."
"So..."
"Wine," she smiled.
"You are so my favorite date," Kelly replied before turning to the waiter and getting them both a glass of white wine.

"This is really good," Carrie commented, taking a sip of the wine Kelly had ordered for them.
"You like it? You're gonna have to come with us the next time we go to France. They have this amazing wine tasting thing you can do. It's so cool."
Carrie looked at her curiously, "Did you just invite me to France?"
"Weird, right?" Kelly laughed. "Yea, I know. It still kinda freaks me out that I can actually do stuff like that."
"Yea," Carrie nodded in agreement.
"Ladies and Gentlemen," a voice came over the speakers.
They all turned to the stage where Michael was standing in front of the microphone.
"I would like to thank everybody here so much for coming, and supporting us with this campaign," he smiled. "This year we thought long and hard about the direction we wanted the charity to take. When we realized that what we needed was a more youthful approach, we already had the perfect people in mind to help us with that. These two very special young ladies have been amazing throughout this whole thing. They've given up their time, and their talents without so much as a hesitation. Even before we asked them to join us, they were already spending time down at the hospital every week. The children there are head over heels for them, and we just couldn't be more pleased with our decision. Now, before officially unveiling our new campaign, I am also very pleased to make this announcement. At the end of the summer, our two volunteers are going to be putting on a concert, where just the two of them will be sharing the stage for the first time ever. I am also very pleased to announce that they have agreed for all proceeds of the concert to go straight to the charity."
There was a loud applause throughout the room, and Kelly smiled.
"Again, I am so honored to be able to work with these two amazing talents. You know, while other people their age are running around with a different guy at a different club every night, these two have been hard at work, trying to make these children's and their families' lives a little easier. So, would everyone please give a round of applause to the two newest faces of the St. Judes' campaign: Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood," Michael beamed at the two of them, motioning for them to stand as the applause grew louder.
Carrie took Kelly's hand in her own as they stood, smiling gratefully at those around them before quickly sitting back down.
"They're kinda modest," Michael teased, earning laughter from the crowd.

"So vegans can have wine?" Jason asked curiously as their server refilled their drinks.
Kelly shook her head while Carrie looked at him confusedly.
"What do you think a vegan is?" Carrie asked curiously.
"I don't know, one of those crazy people who only eat like grass and won't touch anything that isn't healthy," he shrugged.
"Jay," Kelly fussed, but couldn't hide her smile.
"What?" he asked innocently.
"Did you just call Carrie a crazy person?"
Carrie laughed, "It's alright. Think of a vegan as an extreme vegetarian. You know, not only do we not eat meat but we also don't eat or drink anything else that comes from an animal."
"Well, I wouldn't drink anything that came from an animal either," Jason said, making a face.
"Milk, Jason," Kelly rolled her eyes. "She means milk."
"Oh," he laughed, they're attention turning back to the stage where Michael was standing once more, a band waiting in the shadows behind him to play.
"So, once more I'd like to thank everyone for coming," he nodded. "And I hope you are all enjoying the food and drinks as much as my table is. Now, we'd like to welcome an upcoming singer to the stage. He's a great talent, and who knows, maybe in a couple years from now he'll be the superstar heading one of our campaigns. Ladies and Gentlemen...Graham Colton."
Kelly felt as if she were gonna throw up as she watched him walk up to the microphone, holding her eye the entire time with that knowing smirk on his face that she hated so much.
