***PART 4***
By this time, Marshall was starving. The cup of coffee he’d had earlier with Ally hadn’t starved off his hunger in the least bit. He debated as to whether he wanted to stop or wait until they got to the hotel. Best to just wait, after all he had promised Hailie pancakes. Marshall groaned as his cell phone rang. He really didn’t want to talk to anyone. He patted his pockets briefly before realizing the phone was next to Hailie on the side bench. It was probably Kim anyway. Gonna bitch at him some more before demanding to speak with her daughter. Like she had the right to demand anything from him, fucking bitch.
“You wanna answer that baby?”
“Ok!” Hailie said happily. Daddy never let her answer his phone. He said it was his work phone and since she didn’t work for him she shouldn’t touch it.
“Hello?”
The line was silent for a moment. Did she have the right number?
“Hi sweetie, I’m looking for Marshall…is this his phone?”
“Yup, he’s here. Who is this?”
“Hailie, gimme the phone!” Marshall called out. He didn’t want his daughter talking to whoever that was. If she didn’t recognize who it was then she shouldn’t be talking to them.
“Alison, he’s not busy is he? Because I’ll call back later if he wants…”
“No, he’s not busy.” Hailie said, ignoring her father.
“Hailie Jade! Phone!” Marhsall commanded with his hand held out.
“One second daddy, I’m talken.”
Ally smiled, listening to them argue.
“Hailie Jade Scott! Gimme that damn phone!” Marshall said tightly.
Hailie frowned at her father before tossing the phone to him. “You didn’t have to cuss at me!” Hailie pouted, crossing her arms over her chest in a huff.
Marshall sighed before picking the phone up to his ear. “Yo.”
“Um hi Marshall…”
“Who’s this?”
“Oh, sorry, it’s Ally…from the Cuppa Joe’s. We…”
“Oh yea, right…sorry I didn’t recognize your voice.”
“Oh, it’s ok. I wasn’t sure when to call, but I figured the earlier the better right…”
“Yea, hey listen, I’ma have to take a rain check on tonight. Something came up.”
“Sure.” Ally said with a frown. Maybe he’d changed his mind. She knew it was too good to be true. He must have realized what a mistake he was making and wanted out. I mean really, how could she, Alison Rose Jenkins possibly think she had a chance with Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem.
“Invite Alison over Daddy? You promised.” Hailie screamed, breaking into Ally’s thoughts.
“Shh Hailie, don’t be rude.”
“Um well listen, it was really nice meeting you Marshall…”
“Hold up. You don’t want to reschedule or something?”
“Oh, you want to…”
“Well yea, aint that the point of a rain check?”
“Yea, I just thought…”
”You wanna have dinner with me and my daughter? Usually I don’t do this, but I promised her we would hang out tonight.”
“Sure, I’d love to, if you’re sure I mean.”
“Yea, gimme your address and we’ll come get you. Got a suit?”
“Suit?”
“Yea, bathing suit?”
“Oh yea…”
“Aight, we’re not far from you, so we’ll be there in like fifteen minutes.”
Ally agreed and hung the phone up. So maybe he really did want to date her, Ally thought with a smile. She ran into her room and dug through her dresser. She pulled out her only bathing suit, which was a modest blue and yellow two piece shorts set, and threw it into a backpack.
She wasn’t sure what if anything they would be doing after swimming so she decided to bring another change of clothes. She really didn’t want to put on her dirty clothes again, even if it was just to go home. Her favorite hip hugging jeans would do nicely and she topped it off with a tight black baby doll tee with a large rhinestone “A” in the middle. The top rested just above her navel, showing off the gleaming stone that pierced her belly button.
After making sure to pack in a few things for her hair and anything thing else she might need, she slung the bag over her shoulder and made her way out the door. Just as she was closing the gate to her complex, a limo pulled up. The back door opened and inside she spotted Eminem.
“C’mon.” He said, moving over so she would have room. Ally took a deep breath before sliding in and closing the door
