"How long have you been awake? I see you've fixed yourself up?" He asked me.
I was still feeling star struck. I just could not believe I had spent almost the whole flight flirting with Robbie Williams. I had even woken up with my head on his arm. But it wasn't until I saw those green eyes and heard that accent that I knew who he was. What an idiot I am. I am one of his biggest fans, and I didn't recognize him. I can't believe I told him I wouldn't sleep with him. How many times did I joke I would jump him if I ever got the opportunity? And now he wants to have lunch with me.
"Yeah, I wanted to look nice when I saw Becky and Jack." I replied.
"So what hotel are you staying at?" He asked.
"The Sydney Harbour Hotel." I told him.
"Well, we are staying at the same hotel. That’s convenient." He said giving that charming smile.
I have seen it so many times in pictures and interviews. I can't believe I didn't recognize him earlier. "You know Bob.. Robbie, I feel like a complete jackass for not recognizing you. But I am glad because I would never had relaxed, if I had known it was you."
"I'm glad too Sabrina. So which concerts are you going too? I could probably get you better seats and some backstage passes." He offered.
"Really? That would be so cool. We have good seats for the concert in Sydney, but I would love to get closer to the stage. And the other ones are crappy seats, so far from the stage I would need a telescope to see you." I was actually excited that he could get me better seats and backstage passes. Wow, flying to Australia was the best thing I had ever done.
The pilot's voice came on the speakers and gave a speech about landing momentarily and to please put on our seat belts. I quickly did my seat belt up and closed my eyes. God I hated planes. I felt Robbie's arm go around my shoulder and pull me close to him. "It's ok. Relax." He said quietly into my ear. With that soft voice and warm breath in my ear, I was feeling anything but relaxed.
Her hair smelled like flowers and she fit perfectly against me. I had just wanted to comfort her but now that she was close to me I wanted to comfort her a lot more. I held her close until we landed, then I carried my carry on bag as well as hers off the plane. I saw one of my managers, Andy there waiting for me as well as a pretty blonde who shouted "Sabrina!!"
I waved to Andy and walked over to the couple that I assumed were Becky and Jack, with Sabrina. I handed Sabrina's bag over to Jack, who took it without a smile. Becky hugged Sabrina and then looked at me in stunned silence.
Sabrina smiled and said, “This is my friend Bob, we met on the plane. Thanks for the company Bob. I'll see you later."
"It was my pleasure, I'll be sure to call you tonight to make those arrangements we talked about." I said to her and them before either of us knew it I leaned over and dropped a kiss on her forehead. Andy was giving me a "What the hell is going on?" look as I walked over to him. "Hello Andy. Good to see you. I need to get outside and have a cigarette, now." I said calmly.
"Did you enjoy your flight?" He asked me, implying that I had gotten lucky with Sabrina.
"Yes, I did. By the way, cancel my reservations at the Sydney Hilton, I want to stay at the Sydney Harbour Hotel." I said lighting up a cigarette and taking a long drag.
"Rob, you can't be serious? Do you know what kind of preparations it takes to get everyone rooms and the security?" Andy was looking like I had punched him in the stomach.
"Well leave everyone else at the other hotel, just get me a room. As for security, have a couple of big blokes stand outside my door."
Andy sighed, he knew Robbie was determined. He picked up his cell phone and began to make the preparations.
"Oh and Andy? I need some front row tickets and some backstage passes."
"Well Robbie, did you want me to fly the Pope in too?" Robbie just laughed.
"Oh my god Sabrina! That was Robbie Williams." Becky was trying not to scream as they walked towards the car.
"Yeah I know." Was all I said. "So Jack, how's the job?" Becky cut him off.
"You just spent the entire flight with Robbie Williams. Whom you have lusted after for 4 years. What happened?" Did she think we had done something?
"Just what do you mean Becky? Did we get it on in the bathroom?" I was laughing, Becky looked like a sweet angel but she had the dirtiest mind I had ever encountered.
"Did you?" She asked again.
"No. I didn't even know who he was until about an hour before we landed." I told her while I did up my seatbelt.
"How could you of all people not recognize him?" She looked at me in wonder.
"Well, I never expected to see him on a plane, he had on a hat and sunglasses and he spoke without his accent. He seemed familiar but I never would have known it was Robbie Williams."
"And what kind of arrangements are you two making?" She was questioning me like she was my father.
"We are having lunch or dinner tomorrow, and he’s getting us better tickets and some passes for the concerts." I told her.
She started to scream. She was a pretty big Robbie Williams fan herself.
I was in my hotel room putting away my clothes, Becky and Jack were in the room next to mine. I couldn't believe how fancy this place was. It was bigger than the apartment Jeff and I had lived in. I think it was even bigger than the condo I now owned. I shouldn't have booked such a posh room, but I had wanted Becky and Jack to have a nice romantic experience and I couldn't put them up in a fancy suite and then stay in a basic room. I had almost finished when there was a knock on the door. I opened the door and was surprised to see bellboys holding vases filled with flowers.
"Sabrina Turner?" The nearest one asked me.
"Yes."
"These are for you, may we come in?" I nodded and moved out of the way.
There were bellboys and flowers everywhere.
"Who are these from?" I asked.
"I was told to give you this." he handed me a thick envelope. I started to reach for my purse to tip them when he shook his head and said
"That has already been taken care of Miss. Have a good day." Then they all waked out of the room and shut the door. I opened the envelope in it was a short letter and several concert tickets, as well as the backstage passes. The note read:
Sabrina,
I am so happy to have met such a sweet and sincere woman.
I look forward to our date. Talk to you soon.
Bob
I smiled, I couldn't help but think of him as Bob. Maybe Bob would get lucky, I thought.
I looked around the room, there were 10 dozen white roses. It was beautiful. What a sweetie, I felt my heart do a little flip when I reread the note. "A date?" Oh my god, I was going on a date with Robbie Williams. This was way to weird, was I dreaming? I was just going to lie down for a nap when the phone rang.
"Hello."
"Hello, Sabrina." I heard Robbie say.
"Hi Bob, I just got the flowers and the tickets. Thank You, they are so beautiful. It is okay that I call you Bob? It makes me feel weird to say Robbie."
"You can call me anything you want. I just got news that I have to do a bunch of interviews tomorrow, so lunch is out. I hope that dinner is okay?"
"Of course it is." I told him.
"I didn't think you would want to go to a restaurant, just in case there are photographers, so we can eat in the hotel restaurant or order room service."
Could I be alone with him in a hotel room? I would probably attack him. "Whatever you think is best Bob, besides, you'll probably be tired from all the interviews and stuff." I told him.
"So what are you wearing?" He asked me in a very sexy voice.
"Nothing at all." I answered looking down and my tank top and flannel pyjama pants.
"I'll be right down." He teased.
"Oh I'm so sorry but I am already entertaining guests. But I look forward to tomorrow." I said with a laugh.
"Great I'll see you tomorrow night at 7 pm then. Have a great day." He said.
I said goodbye. And then ran to my closet. What was I going to wear? I needed to go shopping. I called Becky, she sounded out of breath. "Oops, sorry" I said as I started to hang up.
"No wait, we are done, I'm just catching my breath. What were you calling for?"
Laughing I told her that I needed to go shopping.
"I'll be there in 15 minutes." She said just before she hung up.
