I wanna save you

I first remember meeting Miranda on tour when our band was just starting to get big. Her band was doing their first tour. Right away i thought she was gorgeous but didn't try anything because she was already in a relationship. We kept in contact through out the years and i hid my crush but now its different. Were still really good friends in fact she's one of my best friends but i can't stand David, he is the most arrogant person i have ever met in my entire life.

"So what was that about?" Adam asked me
"what do you mean?"
"You like her don't you?" he said and i wish he hadn't
"Dan likes Miranda! Dan likes Miranda!" he said jumping up and down
"shut up no i don't."
"Yeah you do."
"No i don't." i said in a serious tone
"yeah you do you're..." he began to say something
"Just drop it already!"
"Ok."
"Fine."
"Have you guys seen Josh? he just left me earlier."
"No was he mad or something?"
"I don't think so..."
"oh."
"I am gonna go find him."
"Ok." I walked away.

I saw Josh talking to People over by a merch stand I started to walk over. I passed by LSH's bus and I saw Miranda through the window she was hugging David and saw me passing by i quickly looked away. I Know David hits her i just feel it in my gut but when i asked Lexie and Zoe about it they said they talked to Miranda about it already and she just told them it was none of their business and denied it. If i ever catch him trying to hit her i will knock him out

(FLASHBACK)
New years eve at Josh's house. Everyone was pretty much gone except for a few people in the living room. Miranda was trying to help David get outside because he was really drunk.
"Dave....get up."
"I can't...I am so drunk.....help me."
"I can't...i am drunk too....."
"shut up!" he pushed her off him they were in the room full with people so everyone saw
"David...shh....you're making a scene."
"I'm Making a scene!?"
"yes everyone's looking over here."
"they are probably looking at you! you're dressed like a slut." he mumbled she didn't say anything she just tried even harder to pick him up off the floor.
"Do you need help?" Greg(our mutual friend) asked her
"Yeah!"
"Ok." he walked over and picked up David
"Thanks."
"No problem." he said walking away
"are you ready to go?" she asked David
"no."
"well i am going to be outside."
"fine." she walked away a couple of seconds later David fallowed. A few minutes later I was going to walk outside until I heard them arguing...well David yelling at Miranda.

"You fucking whore! its no wonder we were invited to so many places...look at you you're dressed like a tramp."
"No i am not."
"Did you call a taxi?"
"yeah."
"fine.....i don't even know why i bother with you....you're worthless you can't even....."
"I am not worthless."
"Don't interrupt when i am talking." I heard a smack like somebody had been slapped I thought Miranda hit David
"I am sorry...." I knew then it was David who had hit Miranda not the other way around.Rage filled my body I walked outside and saw the taxi had pulled up and David was already inside.
"Miranda....do you need a ride home?" i asked
"No...i am fine."
"Did he hit you?" she looked at the ground
"he's really drunk.....this is the first time it's happened i swear."
"i am going to kill him..."
"Dan don't! this isn't any of your business..." she said walking away and getting into the taxi when i asked her about it the next day she said she had no idea what i was talking about but i know she didn't want to admit it.
(END FLASHBACK)

I walked over to Josh, the people gone by the time i walked up.
"Hey...where did you go?" Josh asked
"me? where did you go? i turned around for a second and you were gone."
"i got lost in the crowd....sorry."
"its ok."
"so what were you saying about falling for somebody?"
"Ok....i...think i am in love with Miranda..." i trailed off
"with who?"
"Miranda."
"Our Miranda?" he said Our because we all thought of LSH as sort of family.
"yes."
"you do know she is with David?"
"yeah....what should i do?"
"nothing....there is nothing you can do."
"he treats her like shit though."
"i know but she won't listen she wants to be with him for some reason."
"what if i..."
"There's nothing you can say to change her mind about him."
"ok."

in my head i know that i couldn't have her but my heart just won't listen. this is the worst feeling in the world being in love with someone and knowing that you can't have them. Even worse than that is the fact that David treats her like she is nothing more than a doormat. I don't know how much longer i can stand back and watch him just yell at her and then pretend like nothing happens. One of these days i am going to let this all slip out and one day i am going to stand up for her because nobody else does.
