After they dropped off Cyn at her usual bar in Tinsel Town, Britney and Gerard went to Starbucks for an early night drink.
“What would the lady like to drink?” Britney jumped up and had a huge smile on her face.
“HOT CHOCOLATE!” *hiccup* Britney turned red and covered her face. Gerard laughed and ordered their drinks.
“You have random hiccups.”
“Sorry.” Britney managed to say shyly.
“It’s alright, I think they’re rather cute actually.” Gerard smiled at her.
Britney covered her face even more and another hiccup came out of her. Gerard picked up their drink and passed Britney her hot chocolate. Britney quickly walked towards a table hoping the redness on her face would fade away. Gerard caught up to her and pulled out a chair for her to sit in then sat himself across from her. Britney quickly thought of something in order to start up a conversation where she wouldn’t need to hide her face from turning into a cherry.
“ So… what were you going to tell me about Cyn and Billie?” Gerard moved the cup away from his lips and placed it on the small table.
“Well, I already dropped her off at the usual bar I leave her at. So of obviously she’s going to be drunken mess. She’ll call a cab or me to take her back to her place and once she gets there she’ll see Billie in the room.” Britney intently listened to him while drinking her hot chocolate.
“Then what?”
“Well, He’ll be taunting her, saying she did end up back home. She’ll get angry and they’ll start arguing about how he flirts and flirts and flirts, and I mean hardcore flirting with other girls. Maybe even make out or sleep with a couple of them, comes back and rolls around with her like he didn’t do anything wrong.”
“Then she sends him outside?” Gerard shook his head.
“Nope, they argue to the point of physical fighting.” Britney looked puzzled yet disturbed.
“…So that’s who she talks about. She’s told me about him but never who it was. But she did tell me he wasn’t her boyfriend, just like a fuck buddy. Violent…fuck buddy.”
“Britney, How do you know that?”
“Have you seen some of her bruises? Besides we‘re close so she tells me that they fight while…you know.”
“Oh.” Britney took another sip of her cup as Gerard stared at her.
“You know, I think. No I know I would treat her better than he does, She‘s a pretty girl.” Britney sunk down into her chair a bit when she heard his comment. “But,” He leaned forward and tilted her head up. “That was before I met you. Your eyes are more beautiful and luminous than hers.” Britney turned scarlet again and tried to look away.
Gerard turned her face towards him and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. She turned ruby red and covered her face. Another hiccup escaped from her as she smiled a giggly smile.
Gerard leaned back into his chair and watched Britney fumble her hot chocolate. She tried to avoid any eye contact with him as she finished the last of her drink.
“You ready to go?”
“Yeah.” Britney smiled and hiccupped again.
“Let’s go.” Gerard took his keys out of his pocket and tossed them in the air when he got out of the chair.
Britney looked at him with a confused stare and cheesy smile. Gerard twirled his keys around his fingers as he opened the door for her. He went around the car and turned on the engine.
“Hey Gerard, where are we going anyways?” He turned to her and smiled.
