Benji saw Joel’s car pull up,

"BENJI!, WHERE ARE YOU? WE NEED TO TALK!!!" Harlow was shouting at the top of her voice, Benji could see her face wet with tears
"Harlow, im here...what’s wrong?" Benji wrapped his arms around her,
She wrapped her arms around him too
"i was so worried about you, i kept thinking you'd gone and done something stupid, you've not been yourself lately, what’s wrong?"
Benji looked down at his mucky black converse sneakers....
"You wouldn't understand"
"try me, ive been your friend now for three or four years, i should know how to help you!"
"THATS EXACTLY IT!!! we've just been friends, can you remember that night last summer, when we kissed?, i haven't felt the same way about you since then, you are beautiful and i do love you...."
Harlow felt her heart beat faster and faster..
"I loved you from the moment i looked at you benj, but i made myself stop loving you...i was sure you didn't feel the same....I think i should go.."
"wait, don’t go yet.." Benji looked her in the eyes, he gently touched her cheek and kissed her softly on the lips.
"do you know how long I’ve waited to do that again? a whole year!"
Benji expected a sarcastic reply, but instead Harlow pulled out her car keys and ran to her car,
"I have to go think Benji, i cant do this to you and Joel, its not fair on you"
She opened her car door, and got in, he heard 'the clash' begin to bang out from the stereo.
He watched in awe as she drove away,
oh my god! what have i done? what if she has an accident? she’s going too fast..
A million and one thoughts were whizzing through benjis' head
Then he heard the sounds of distant tyre screeching, and a huge bang.
