Opening my bag, I withdrew enough to get myself a new outfit, shoes included. The rest, I stowed in my bag, and that I tucked in with a bit of rubbish. I darted to the store, clearly reading the sign that would not permit my entrance. I stepped inside anyway, and spoke to the shopkeep. “Miss, this girl is in need of shoes and clothing, for she has none. May she have some assistance?”
After being looked at strangely for a moment, she asked me to come forward. I looked at all the clothes, all the shoes, and there were so many. So many colours, styles, and sizes. It was nearly overwhelming! I settled on a green and black striped shirt, with lace leggings, and a black sleeveless top. A size was hard to find, and I needed assistance more than once. The underthings were the most embarassing, and I did ot readily ask for assistance with them. The one that went beneath my top was uncomfortable, hard pieces dug in beneath my breasts. The shoes were so numerous, I settled on a pair of black mary-jane styled ones. The storekeeper took me to the mirror, and I was excited.
I looked so different! I could nearly not believe myself. I may still have been short, but at least now I looked like a woman. I paid in cash for the clothing I had purchased. And then I stepped back, diving into the alley to make sure my things were still there. Relieved when I found they were, I put my backpack on again and traveled onward. I stopped a young man and asked him. It was strange... this time, I discarded the speech taught to me by my mother. Instead, I spoke directly. "Excuse me, but where am I at?" He looked at me strangely and then replied "You are in Kyoto, stupid girl. How do you not know where you are at?" I merely stuck my tongue out at him and walked away.
Steps down the road, I heard footsteps behind me. I was nervous, having so much money in my bag. True, it was hidden, but still not well. I didn't have a chance to turn around as my shoulder was grabbed. The ground was cold, hard, unwelcoming. But that was not important to me right then. I threw my bookbag into the alley, right before my follower grabbed at my waist. Skirt went up, leggings down.. I never felt so exposed. And then came the pain. Firey pain, deep inside my body. What? What was it? My attacker was moving inside me, I could feel it... and I wanted to be sick. As he thrusted into me, I only cried. Best to let him go, wasn't it? Then to defy and be dead?
It felt like hours, before the man made a strangled grunt, and hot wetness filled my body. He slapped me, and then loud footsteps told me he had run away. Slowly, I fixed my clothes, but when I tried to sit up, the pain was unimaginable. I sat and cried for many moments, before I felt a hand on my shoulder. My first reflex was to bite the hand, and so I did, before forcing myself up and looking around.
There, on the ground was the boy in the picture that I kept in my floor. He was very beautiful, his face made of smooth curves and soft lines. I apologized clumsily, and offered him a hand up. He smiled. "Miyavi desu." And I froze. No, not possibly. IT could not be, it most definately could not be. "I have heard your voice." He nodded. A car pulled up beside the alley, and before I knew it I was pushed inside. IT was not long that a sweet blackness took me over, and I was asleep.
