Chapter 4: And The Tour Begins
∞
Right before the tour, we had one last nice outing that we all got to do together. We headed to the beach. Mikayla Gordon from season four was there video taping some for her Pop-tarts webisode.
We were all in a good mood, for it was fun to have a nice vacation day before we were sure to be busy on tour.
“What? Nobody’s wearing Speedos?” Chris Sligh asked us guy in his usually joking manner as well all headed down to the beach together.
“Nobody wants to see you in a Speedo, Sligh. Sorry, but it’s just a fact,” I said, patting him on the shoulder. Yuck! Talk about something to make you puke up your breakfast.
Sligh rolled his eyes. “I forgot. You’re the only one the girls would like to see in a Speedo cuz you’re just so hot!” He waved his hands in the air, and then ran screaming in a high-pitched girly voice, down the beach. “It’s Blake Lewis, and he doesn’t have a shirt on!”
I rolled my eyes.
“I for one would find you in a Speedo pretty damn hot.”
I turned to my right and smiled at Chris, who had just whispered into my ear. I grinned. “And if you wore one, you wouldn’t get out of the hotel room because I would have you pinned beneath me, naked on the bed.” I said it just low enough so that only the two of us could hear.
He licked his lips. “Remind me to buy one the next time we get to the mall.”
I smirked.
“Come on, guys! You’re so slow!” Sanjaya called after us.
“You’re so gay,” I said, but not loud enough for Sanjaya to hear.
Chris laughed. “That’s the pot calling he kettle black.”
“Shut up,” I said, playfully swatting his stomach.
All of us found a spot, and parked ourselves down. The girls had brought beach blankets and snacks, and the guys had brought Frisbees and drinks.
We were all in our bathing attire, and ready to go out into the water and have some fun. It was hot as heck that day.
I grabbed my sunscreen from my bag. I needed to put some on; otherwise I would burn up like a lobster. “Can someone put this on for me?” I asked.
“I will!” Gina, Jordin, Melinda, LaKisha, and Haley all offered at once.
I grinned. I would have proffered Chris, but I knew that couldn’t happen—in public anyway. Besides, it would most definitely lead to more if that were the case, and I don’t think anyone but Chris, thirteen-year-old fans and myself would enjoy that.
“Go ahead, Gina—I’m all yours,” I said, tossing her the tube.
“I don’t think I like how eager you were to do that,” Joe, Gina’s boyfriend said.
She grinned. “Don’t worry. I’ll do you next.”
“Remember, there are minors on the premises!” Sanjaya teased.
Gina rolled her eyes, but smiled nonetheless.
“Who wants to help me with mine?” Sligh asked, holding up his own bottle of sunscreen.
No one said a word.
“Oh sure, but you’ll help Blake,” he said.
“I’ll help you,” Phil offered.
Sligh made a face. “I’d rather burn.”
Phil shrugged. “Whatever, man. You try to help a brother out and he shuns you. I see how you are.”
Sligh sighed. “Fine, but if you go anywhere near my ass…”
“If I go anywhere near your ass, you can commit me to the mental ward,” Phil said, taking the tube from Sligh.
“Who would put sunscreen there anyway?” Melinda asked.
I glanced at Chris, who smiled at me knowingly. Just the other day, actually, when we were alone in my hotel room, we had had a little fun in that department. Then again, it was only because we were out of lube.
I saw that Jordin was putting sunscreen on him. I felt a little twinge of jealous, but brushed it off.
“Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I’m ready to go swimming!” Sanjaya said.
“Don’t forget your floaties!” I called out to him.
He paused from his running, turned around and flipped me off.”
The rest of us gasped.
Sanjaya laughed, before turning back to the water, ignoring his guardian’s scolding for flipping me off.
I smiled to myself. This was going to be a fun day, and hopefully and even more fun tour.

I zipped past Blake on my WaveRunner, and made a left turn. We had made a secret deal that, whomever made five laps first on the WaveRunner around the designated area, got to be on top. In all honestly, I would have been happy either way, but I loved beating Blake at something. It gave me a rush, which I was sure would be brought to the bedroom later.
Blake was right behind me, and soon zipped past me.
I don’t know how that boy moves so fast, but he does. It was neck and neck now. We both only had two more laps to go.
I sped up, and for the next lap, we were pretty much neck-in-neck.
Blake didn’t like to lose, so I knew he was going to fight hard as we turned the bend for our last lap.
I pressed hard on the gas, and just paid attention to the destination spot. I didn’t concentrate on Blake at all for once.
It was so close, but I passed the finish line right before he did.
I cheered loudly.
He was pouting when we got off of our WaveRunners and passed them off to Sligh and Phil.
“I win, you lose,” I said, wanting simply to rub it in.
“Yeah, well you better make it good tonight,” he said, getting a little closer to me.
My eyes lowered as I thought of the endless possibilities. “Oh, you can count on it,” I assured him.
We grinned at each other.
“Hey, do you guys wanna play Frisbee?” Jordin asked, comin up behind us, and placing her arms over our shoulders.
“Sure!” We both said in unison.
She grinned.
“Ooh, can I play!” Sanjaya asked, rushing over to us.
I saw Blake roll his eyes, and smiled. I don’t know what Blake had against Sanjaya. Sanjaya had kept our secret, so there was no reason to be mean about him. I mean, so Sanjaya was younger than us, and could be a little annoying at times. He was still a nice kid.
We stood in a circle, and began to play the game.
Sanjaya couldn’t throw worth squat when it came to the Frisbee. It would always fly way past whomever he was tossing it to, which I knew was annoying Blake. However, Blake never snapped at him. In fact, after a bit, it was just funny. Even Blake had to laugh.
“Well at least you are good at catching it,” Blake said, once Sanjaya had caught the Frisbee that he had just thrown him.
Sanjaya went to toss it to Jordin, but it flew way past her. Poor Phil, who was unsuspectingly lying on his towel on his stomach and soaking up the sun, got conked right in the head with it.
“What he heck man?” He asked, his eyes shooting open. He sat up straight.
Sanjaya made a face. “Sorry, Phil! Please don’t kill me.”
Phil picked up the offending Frisbee, and stared at it, while rubbing his head. “It’s all right, but could you please warn me next time?” he asked.
Sanjaya had run over to him, and now took the Frisbee from him. “I’ll try, but it all happened so fast.”
“He’s a really horrible thrower,” I called out to Phil.
“In that case, I think I’ll just move my towel about ten more feet down the beach,” Phil muttered, still rubbing his head as he packed up his things.
Sanjaya blushed. “Sorry.” he ran back over to Jordin, Blake, and I, and we continued playing Frisbee. This time, when Sanjaya went to make another throw, it hit Chris Sligh on the head.
“What the hell?”
That just did it in for me. I couldn’t stop laughing. Just hearing Chris Sligh saying ‘hell’ instead of ‘heck’ was funny. He was a Christian, and big on church, so it was just funny to hear him swear.
“I don’t find being hit in the head with a Frisbee very funny,” Chris said, shooting both Sanjaya and I nasty looks.
“Don’t look at me,” I said, still laughing. “He’s the one who through it,” I pointed to Sanjaya.
Chris Sligh smiled brightly. “Come here, Sanjaya,” he said I a nice friendly tone.
“Uh uh!” Sanjaya said, knowing darn well that Chris wasn’t feeling friendly towards him at the moment.”
“I’m not going to hurt you. I just want to talk to you.” Chris’ tone was still friendly.
“Uh uh!” Sanjaya said again, slowly backing away.
“Come here you little punk!” Chris said, starting to chase Sanjaya now.
Sanjaya screamed, and ran running down the beach.
Chris Sligh was hot on his tail.
“Ah, what the heck?” Blake asked, running off to join Chris in the hunt for Sanjaya.
I looked at Jordin, who looked at me.
“You want to?” I asked her.
“Ah, why not?” she asked.
We grinned at each other, and then ran down the beach to join in the hunt.
B∞C
“Come on, guys! Let me out!”
I smirked as Sanjaya begged us to let him go. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who was annoyed by Sanjaya. Okay, maybe some of us did it just fro the fun of the hunt, but still. We had all banned together and dug a whole big enough for Sanjaya to lie in. Even Sanjaya’s guardian chipped in! Then, Chris and Sligh held him down in the whole while the rest of us buried him up to his head. He was now unable to move. All you could see what his head.
“I saw we all throw Frisbees at his head now,” Sligh suggested.
“I’ll go for that!” Phil chimed in.
“Me too!” I said.
Chris nudged me. He didn’t throw a Frisbee at your head.”
I nodded. “True, but it would still be fun.”
Chris rolled his eyes.
It wasn’t that I didn’t like Sanjaya. I was just a little annoyed by him is all. He was always so rambunctious, and it just got to be annoying after a little while. However, I was grateful to him that he never told anyone about Chris and I being a couple. He had called me on it one day at the American Idol house, and I admitted it to him. He said he thinks he is gay too, so I knew I could trust him. He and Jordin were the only ones who knew about us.
Jordin had found out at the house too. Only she had walked in on Chris and I in a compromising position. Talk about embarrassing!
“It was an accident! I didn’t mean to,” Sanjaya said, almost sounding as if he were about to cry. “I said I’m sorry.”
“All right, guys. I feel sorry for him. Maybe we should let him out,” Gina said.
“Not until we take a picture!” Chris said.
I looked at him. “Now who’s being mean?”
“It’s not mean to take a picture. I’m just making a memory,” Chris said, running to his stuff, and then coming back to take the picture. “Say cheese!”
“Cheese!” Sanjaya said, as if he were saying it in hopes of us letting him out.
Chris took the picture.
“Want me to take one of all of you with him?” Mikayla asked.
We all said yes.
“Guys, come on!” Sanjaya whined.
“What’s the matter? Are you afraid your hair will get messed up?” Sligh asked.
We all posted for the picture. Sligh and Phil posed on each side of Sanjaya, pretending as if they were about to kick him.
After Mikayla took the picture, she handed Chris back the camera.
“Thanks!” he said with a grin. I knew he was finding this more fun than he was leading on.
“Now can you please let me out?” Sanjaya pleaded.
“Well, I got to take a shower,” I said, walking off.
“I got to get back too,” Chris said, following me. I knew he wanted to make good on his winning our contest.
The girls were the only ones who stayed to help him out. The saps.
As Chris and I headed back towards the hotel, we heard Sanjaya bitching his guardian out.
“You didn’t have to join in, you know.”
“Sorry,” his guardian said. “I got caught up in the moment.”
Chris and I grinned at each other, both eager to get back to our room.

On The Fourth of July, we had fireworks and planned on setting them off.
Our hotel was beautiful. It had a garden area, and a big pool and hot tub. It was more private too, so it allowed Blake and I some nice private time together.
“I say we stay back and make some fireworks of our own,” Blake said as we kissed in his room after getting ready.
I smiled. “You’re so corny.”
“What? You don’t want to stay in bed instead of going out?” He began nipping down the side of my neck.
I closed my eyes. “That’s not fair.”
Blake grinned against my skin. “All’s fair in—”
I cut him off with another kiss. “Please no more corny cliques,” I whined.
Blake pouted.
“I promise you tonight, we’ll have our own private Forth of July celebration, but until then, our friends are waiting for us.” I kissed him again, this time running my hands up his shirt, and letting my fingers graze his nipples.
“If you don’t stop that, there is no way we’re going to leave this hotel room,” Blake murmured into my ear.
I grinned, and removed my hand from underneath his shirt. “Let’s go.” Before I change my mind. I kept that last part to myself. I didn’t want to encourage him.

I was distracted from trying to get Chris to change his mind and come back to the hotel room when my friend called. I talked with him for a while, and ran into the elevator to catch up with Chris. I guessed I had no choice but to hang out with our friends as he wished.
When we got to the lobby, I hung up the phone. We went over to the bar area of our hotel, where Gina was sitting with Joe.
I walked over to Chris. I felt like being mischievous, just to get him back for not taking me up on my offer. So, I put my arm around him nonchalantly as I prepared to sit down.
He looked at me in surprised, but grinned nonetheless.
However, once again, fans started to show up, so I quickly moved to the other side to sit next to Joe instead.
Fans kept taking pictures, and I really hated being watched when I just wanted some alone time with my boyfriend.
I got up and headed back over to Chris. “Let’s go,” I said. I could see that Jordin and Sanjaya had arrived and were heading out towards the pool where we were going to set the fireworks off.
Chris nodded and got up to leave with me, but fans began to stop us for autographs and pictures.
I didn’t want to be a jerk, so I stopped for some, but after a bit, I was tired of it, and headed out.
Chris has such a good heart. He always wants to stay back. He never wants anyone to be left out. That is one of the many things that made me fall in love with him.
He finally came out with me, and we held hands as we waked through the garden. No one was around.
We headed to the privacy of the trees, where Jordin and Sanjaya were waiting for us.
“No guardian this time?” I quipped.
“I sneaked out of my hotel room while she slept. Why are you always so down on me?” Sanjaya whined.
“It’s all out of love, man!” I said.
Sanjaya rolled his eyes. “Yeah, right.”
“We both know the only one of us he truly loves is Christopher,” Jordin said.
I grinned. “At least in that way.”
“Blakey!” Chris said in a high-pitched once that sounded very much like Sligh had on the beach when he impersonated a crazy fan.
I rolled my eyes, but Chris pulled me in for a quick kiss on the mouth.
“Mm, not in front of the minors,” I said.
“That’s never stopped you before,” Chris said.
I grinned. “True.”
We kissed again.
“All right, enough. Let’s set these off. I want to go in the pool,” Sanjaya complained.
I rolled my eyes again, but broke free from Chris anyway.
We then set the fireworks off. It didn’t take long. We didn’t have many.
When we finished, Chris announced that he wanted to go in the hot tub. Jordin wanted to join him.
“You wanna come with?” Chris asked.
I nodded. “I’ll be there in a second. I forgot I’d promised my mom I’d call her today,” I said.
“All right.” Chris kissed me one quick time, and then took off with Jordin.
I looked to see what Sanjaya was doing. I didn’t want him listening in, but he had taken off somewhere.
I shrugged, and dialed my mother’s number.

The day of our first show arrived. We were all so excited, but nervous about it.
I was surprised at how many fans wanted to meet Blake and I. We seemed to be the most popular ones. I could see why Blake was popular, but I was always surprised at how much people liked me too.
Blake and I were skateboarding together, and got stopped by two fans of ours. They had the coolest shirt that had a drawing of us.
We both signed it, and I was glad that Blake didn’t seem so annoyed with the fans this time. It always made me happy to see him happy—especially when it came to people loving us together.
That night, the show went spectacular. We were all so hyped and full of energy.
In fact, after the after party, Blake pulled me into his room. “Are you tired?”
I shook my head. “No. I’m to hyped up.”
He grinned. “Care to work out some of that energy on me?” He wriggled his eyebrows up and down.
I moaned, already getting hard. “You bet I do!”
We grinned at each other, and then he led me to the bed for what would be incredible sex.
Yeah, I love already loving this tour, and to think, Blake and I had almost three more months of this. Yes. It was definitely going to be fun.
