alrighty, so, the next chapter is kinda messed up in a lot of ways, but i'm not one to spoil anything. I might post it up tonight, we'll see. But read and review please. Your feedback is amazing.
The busses slowly made their way to Los Angeles. The sun was out brighter than it ever was in Washington, and Brandi couldn't remember the temperature ever being this high either. "Holy fuck." She ran her hands through her hair. "I've never felt this hot before." Everyone eyed her. They didn't say anything smart ass because they had all been walking on eggshells, side from Chad, in fear that she might yell at them again. Chad smiled at her. "Hung-over again?" She laid her head back, ignoring the question. "Welcome to Los Angeles! We're here!" Zach jumped up, excitement etched on his face. Zach was the youngest of the group, and probably the most naïve. Brandi gave a thumbs up, sighing. "Then we can find a Wall Mart and buy a case of water." Chad nodded. "I think Gerard said we were all getting hotel rooms too." Brandi jumped up. "Now I'm excited. Who made coffee?" John jumped up and started making it as quick as possible. Brandi inched up next to him. "You can relax; I'm not going to freak out." John stared; he was just trying to beat her before she asked… "We got anymore beer left?" John looked to Chad, shaking his head, even though the fridge was full. Chad grabbed her hands, pulled her to him. He rests his head on her stomach. "We have a show today. You can't start drinking this early." Brandi turned to the clock. Nine thirty. It was a little early. John finished the coffee, pouring Brandi a cup and handing it to her. She drank it quickly. The bus came to a stop outside some hotel. They got off the bus, stretching. Brandi was a bit more excited than the others. "I'm so fucking glad to be off that god damn bus." Bob came up behind her, MCR unloading from their tour bus. He threw an empty cigarette pack at her. "I'll remember that next time I'm picking a tour bus for you." Brandi threw the case back at him. "How the hell do you guys live on those god forsaken things?" They laughed. "We got used to it." Gerard walked up. "Well, you guys are in this hotel. We're right across the street. Go check in and all that and do what you got to do before the concert." They nodded and went inside the hotel. It was really fancy. The band looked at themselves, their torn, stained, and mismatched clothes. They looked at each other too. They really felt like they didn't belong here. They got up to the check in desk. Apparently, the guy behind the desk thought they didn't belong there either. "I'm sorry kids, but there is no public restroom." Brandi sighed, tilting her head. Chad quickly put his hand on her mouth and smiled at the guy. "Actually, we're checking in. A New Fire?" The man nodded. "I see. Here are your keys." He hands them a couple cards. Brandi was still staring at him, Chad looked to John. "Will you get her away from here before she says something that gets us kicked out?" The man behind the counter met her stare as John dragged her away. Chad got the rest of their things and found out what floor they were on. They all loaded onto the elevator, Brandi and John now pinching each other. Tony got pinched on accident, and thank god the elevator doors opened. Brandi and John each grabbed a key out of Chad's hand and ran to their rooms. They unlocked them, Tony having already given up. "I'll get you two later. We do have a show this evening." Brandi and John groaned. Tony went in his room and fell asleep. Tony was older than Brandi, but younger than John. He and Brandi had been friends through high school. They had met Zach their senior year. Tony rolled over, banging noises coming from the room next to his. "Shut up!" Someone hit the wall a few times. It was Brandi. Brandi was in her room, jumping on the bed. Chad, John, and Zach stood there, shaking their heads. "You've had too much coffee." Chad jumped up, grabbing her and wrapping his arms around her. "Dammit Chad! Let me go." John and Zach took their cue to walk out. He smiled. "Are you going to calm down a little?" Brandi had given up, waiting for him to let go. Chad smiled. "Good." He relaxed his grip on her and she shot up. She flipped around and sat on Chad's stomach, pinning his arms above his head. "Ha-ha!" Chad was stronger than Brandi. He got his hands out of her grip and flipped her over. He moved his face to hers and kissed her neck. "Ha-ha." Brandi sighed in frustration. "Fuck that, get off." He didn't move. He kept kissing her neck, laughing. She pinched him really hard and he moved. She ran out the door, banging on Johns. He opened it. "Yeah?" She grabbed his hand. "Come on, lets go get coffee." John nodded, grabbing his wallet. Chad came storming out. "Are you serious?" Brandi stared. She smiled. "Yeah, want to get coffee with us?" Chad let his head fall back frustration, shutting the door. Brandi leaned up against him, wrapping an arm around his waist. "You're cute sometimes, you know?" He sighed, kissing the top of her head. They went to Starbucks and sat around drinking coffee for a while. It was when some kids were eyeing them that Chad said. "We should probably go get ready." John and Brandi nodded, getting up and walking outside. The kids followed them at a distance. Brandi thought hard. "How do they know who we are? We've only played one show in Cali, unless they're from Washington." Chad shrugged, getting into the hotel. The kids were standing there, smiling. They waved. Chad tilted his head, waving back. They got ready for the concert.
"It's hotter now then it was earlier." Brandi slammed a bottle of water. She amazingly hadn't drunk any beer. It was a festival concert thingy, outside and all. They had to play with the sun facing them. Gerard and Frank were laughing at them. Brandi was wearing her usual, black pants and a white shirt with a black flannel. The rest of the guys were dressed similarly, side from Tony, who wore whatever he wanted, which was shorts and no shirt. Gerard walked over. "Good luck out there. Don't fry, please? We need you guys for the rest of the tour." Brandi eyed him. He was acting all funny like and weird around her. Maybe it's because I'm not drunk, she thought to herself. They got their cue and stormed the stage in their usual fashion, meeting the screams of thousands of kids and the glare of the sun.
They collapsed in the room backstage, breathing hard. They all felt like puking. "I can't express how happy I am that that's over." Everyone nodded at Chad, drinking some water. The rest of the guys left, catching their cab. The hotel was only a couple blocks, so Brandi and Chad were just going to walk back. They began their short stroll, holding onto each other for dear life. "I'm proud of you today." Brandi looked up at him, blinking. "Why? I didn't do anything special." He smiled. "You didn't drink all day." Brandi stared forward. She hadn't. "Crazy shit happens sometimes, I guess." They both laughed. "HEY!" Brandi and Chad turned, seeing the kids from earlier. The kids faces lit up when they saw Brandi and Chad full on. "You're from a New Fire!" Brandi nodded. Chad was pulling on her softly. "Come on!" They started running, these kids chasing them. It was more a fun experience on both ends rather than a miserable one for Brandi and Chad. They loved their fans. They stopped at the hotel, waving goodbye. The kids waved, taking off laughing and screaming. Brandi and Chad got to their room laughing, collapsing on the bed and falling asleep.
