Author’s notes: Sorry it took me so long to get this chapter up. I've been so busy in real life that it's hard to hanker down and actually continue writing. Hopefully I can do some more writing with the upcoming holiday break coming up.

Kiley smiled at Ville as he shook her hand, "I know who you are silly, now scoot your cute Finnish ass over."
Ville smiled as he scooted over allowing her enough room to sit down comfortably. Linde couldn't help but smile, maybe Gas' plan of coming here would actually bring some life back to Ville after all. He scooted on out the other side of the table and grabbed Ville's empty beer bottle.
"I'm going to get another beer, you want one?" Linde said looking at Ville and Kiley.
"I'll take one," Kiley said, "I'm kind of parched after all that singing that you guys missed."
Linde laughed as he made his way back towards to the door. Ville swallowed hard, he knew that the guys intended to leave him alone with her. He hadn't felt this way in so long, so shy and clumsy, it was like being a teenager all over again and being in love for the first time. He finally looked up to see Kiley staring at him with a warm smile on her face.
"Kiley?"
She smiled again before she spoke, "I'm sorry it's just surreal to be here next to you. I love you guys. I almost fainted when I met Gas for the first time. Now you're all here and it's so overwhelming and I'm blabbering on and on like a fan girl."
Ville laughed, he actually laughed for the first time in a month, "its ok. I'm so use to girls staring; I should just know this by now."
She laughed softly to herself, “Well it’s not everyday I get to meet someone I admire.”
“Admire?”
“Yes,” Kiley looked down, “Your music and your words…and your voice helped me through a rather dark time in my life.”
“Really?” Ville said wanting to know more, “May I ask what happened?”
“Well I…” Kiley started off as the others came back down to the table. Kiley got up as she yelled for joy as she hugged Gas, "Papa bear!"
"Little girl."
The guys just stared at the two of them, "Papa Bear?" they said in unison.
"Oh come on he's one big teddy bear," Kiley said laughing as she sat back down next to Ville.
The others just exchanged looks with one another, seeing Ville actually cheer up.
"So beautiful when are you going to strip for us?" Mige blurted out.
She laughed, "Well maybe after a couple of these I'll get to show you my moves."
Mige's express went from happy to excited in one second, while the others laughed and rolled their eyes at him.
"So how long have you been singing?" Burton asked her.
"Ever since I could speak," Kiley replied, "I know it sounds silly but it's true. I learned how to play guitar and piano when I was about ten and I've just continued on from there."
"So are you a full time musician?" said Linde.
"Oh no. You can't be a musician in this city and make a living," she said taking a long drink of her beer, "I'm a high school art teacher."
"So you like kids?"
"I have to otherwise I would be a fucking lousy teacher," Kiley laughed again, every so often glancing at Ville.
Meanwhile Ville couldn't help but stare at her. She was so gorgeous, so breathtakingly beautiful. He hung on to every last word that passed her soft full pink lips and noticed the way her eyes squinted slightly when she laughed.
“So why art?” Burton asked.
“My two passions in life have always been art and music,” she said smiling, “I chose the art route cause I had heard that college courses for music majors can be so fucking crazy.”
The guys laughed at this remark, since none of them had heard of such a thing.
“Art’s more fun to teach anyway. There are so many different facets of the subject,” she took another drink of her beer; “Actually a few of my students are fans of yours. They would die if they actually knew that you guys were in town. They’re already jealous that I know you papa bear.”
A few hours went by; several drinks had been drunk within the time passed. Ville had excused himself from the rest of the group to head on upstairs and outside for a smoke. As he went outside he felt the warm Texas breeze hit his face, ever so gently. He pulled the pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and quickly lit one.
As he took drag after drag of his cig, he couldn’t stop thinking about Kiley. Ville was beginning to think that he was head over heels for this girl but he didn’t want to go rush off into anything, not yet at least. He just thought that she was so perfect; he had yet to discover some flaw about her. Just as he started to take another drag he heard the door open up. He turned to see Kiley there now wearing a dark blue jean jacket.
“How come you’re up here?” Ville asked.
“Well Mr. Valo it’s a school night,” she said smiling, “and I have to get some shuteye before I get up tomorrow to teach.”
“Oh well are you going to drive home?”
She laughed, “Oh no I live close by.”
“Oh really?” Ville said as a thought popped into his brain.
“Yeah nothing but a ten minute walk away,” Kiley said as she watched Ville finish off his cigarette.
Ville threw the remainder on the ground, pressing it underneath his foot into the concrete sidewalk, “You know the streets at night are pretty dangerous for a beautiful woman like yourself.”
Kiley laughed again, moving closer to him, “Is that so?”
Ville grinned, “Yes it is. I would feel so much better if you let me walk you home.”
“All right,” Kiley said taking his hand in hers, “I guess I can trust you.”
Ville felt his heart jump as Kiley took his hand in hers; her hands were so elegant and warn against his hands. He almost let out a groan as she let go and started to walk down the street, he walked quickly to catch up with her.
“So did you really like my singing or were you just being polite?”
“Oh no I loved your singing,” Ville responded back, “You’re defiantly worthy of a record. Maybe I could get Sepo to sign you up.”
Kiley laughed softly, “That would be interesting.”
“You mentioned something earlier about my music….”
“Oh yeah.”
Ville glanced down at the ground for a moment, “You said it helped you during a dark time in your life. You never said what that was.”
“It was after my mother died,”
“Oh,” was all he could seem to say, “I’m so sorry.”
She sneered, “I hate it when people say that.”
“Well what are we suppose to say? Sucks to be you.”
Kiley laughed again, it seemed so familiar to him, “So how did she die?”
“Traffic collision.”
“You mean car accident?”
“They’re technically called traffic collisions,” she corrected him.
“So how did I help?”
“Your words, the feeling that I got from listening to you….it was like a voice from above helping me.”
Ville smiled, “I didn’t think my words would have such an impact on a person.”
“Can I give you some advice?” she asked him.
“Yeah sure I’m always up for some advice.”
“I think you should stop smoking,” Kiley said softly, almost at a whisper.
Ville looked at her, “Come again?”
Kiley turned to face him, reaching into his front pocket pulling out the package of cigarettes, “These are going to kill you. I’ve lost friends because of these things.”
“Well then my dear,” Ville moved closer to her, “What am I suppose to do to calm myself?”
Kiley smiled, “Oh there’s lots of things you could do but I’m not going to say them out in open like this.”
Ville raised an eyebrow at her, “Oh really? Sounds interesting. Perhaps we could discuss them later. Perhaps over the phone.”
She laughed and then smiled, “If you wanted my number you could have just asked Gas for it.”
“Yes,” he started off, “but then I would have to hear all that shit from Gas and the others. Besides it gives me a reason to talk to you in person.”
“Well you could of just came up to me and asked me,” she smiled again, “Or does the incredible Mr. Valo get shy around pretty girls?”
“Not pretty girls love,” Ville said not realizing there was a smile on his face, “Pretty women.”
Ville watched as Kiley smiled softly, then looked away. She reached into her bag and pulled out a small red card, “There’s my number, email and the school I work at.”
He held up the card, “Kiley Smith.”
“Yep that’s me,” she said turning to head onward, “Shall we continue on?”
“Oh right,” he said as he grabbed the cigarettes out of her hand putting them back in his pocket, “So you want me to stop smoking because you’ve lost friends to smoking?”
“Well yes and think of all the little fan girls who would just cry themselves to sleep every night because you died of lung cancer,” she smiled.
“Good point,” he replied, “I have been thinking of cutting back a bit.”
“Well it’s a start,” she smiled at him.
They finally made it back to her place, a small apartment.
“Well this is me,” she said with a smile on her face, “So are you ok for finding your way back to the bar?”
Ville laughed softly, “I’m not that drunk. I’m pretty sure I can find my way.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes,” he replied.
“Ok,” Kiley turned slightly to unlock the front door, “Perhaps you could come visit me one day, if you’re not too busy Mr. rockstar. A couple of my students would just die if they met you.”
“Are you asking me out?” Ville asked, slight nervousness in his voice.
Kiley smiled to herself before she turned back around, “Well no but perhaps we could go out to lunch. We’re having a half day on Friday so maybe that would be the best time. But it would be great if you can for the class before that. A couple of your ‘die hard’ fans are in that class.”
Ville laughed again, “Well then I guess I will see you Friday, Kiley.”
“Ok….”
The two of them stood there, staring at each other. That familiar feeling of the end of a first date swept over both of them. Kiley was biting down on her bottom lip out of nervousness, not acknowledging that she was doing it. Ville couldn’t help but find that little thing so incredibly sexy. He couldn’t believe how sexy in general she was, it astonished him.
“Well…goodnight Mr. Valo,” Kiley said finally breaking the awkward silence.
“You can call me Ville,” he said.
“….Ville….,” she said, almost like a whisper, “goodnight.”
“Goodnight Kiley,” Ville said, almost sad to say goodbye to her for now.
She turned and went inside, smiling at him one last time as she closed the door. Ville heard the sound of the lock as he stood there, almost frozen in that moment.
Ville glanced down again at the card in his hand before he placed it in his pocket, turning and starting back on his way back to the bar.
The entire way back he was thinking of their conversation. He smiled to himself, he actually smiled for real not having to fake it. He couldn’t recall the last time he actually smiled. It might have been back when he first started dating Johanna.
He finally made his way back to the bar and was about to walk back in when the stopped before the door. He took the back of cigarettes out of his pocket and looked at them. He just shook his head and threw the pack in the garbage can that was next to the door.
He made his way back downstairs to see the guys still sitting at the same table, more beer bottles on the table then before.
“Hey there you are,” Mige said spotting him first.
“We were beginning to wonder what happened to you,” Burton said next.
Ville sat down next to Gas before he spoke, “Yeah I walked Kiley home.”
The other four exchanged looks to one another, their plan was officially in motion.
“So how was that?” Linde asked.
Ville smiled as he pulled her card out of his pocket to show them, “I got her phone number.”
“Well hell I could of given you that,” Gas said laughing before he took a drink of his beer.
“That’s not the point,” Ville said, “She’s actually gave it to me and I’m meeting her for lunch of Friday.”
“Oh my god you have a date with her?” Mige replied, “You work fast.”
“It was her idea”
“Ok then she moves fast,” Mige laughed.
“Nah she’s not the kind of girl,” Gas said, “She’s a sweet girl.”
“Yeah she really is,” Burton said, “Any guy would be lucky to have her as his own.”
Ville wasn’t paying attention. He was just staring at Kiley’s card. Now all he could do is wait for Friday to come so he could see her again.
~~meanwhile~~
Kiley was laying in her bed, thinking to herself. She had already changed from her normal clothes to her pajamas that consisted of black cotton shorts and a hot pink playboy tank top with the playboy bunny logo in black. She laid there, not even paying attention to the small TV that was on top of her dresser.
She couldn’t help but think about Ville. He was the man of her dreams, ever since she had heard his gorgeous voice over eight years ago.
Lazily she reached for her remote and turned the TV off. Now she just laid there in silence with nothing but the lights from the street shining through her window. A small happy sigh escaped her lips as she pulled the covers over her and turned over, thinking of her somewhat of a date with Ville.
She smiled to herself as she closed her eyes, hoping that she would dream of him.
