Nearing Bill’s room he hoped that it all was just a sick joke and that he would find Bill safely in his room, sleeping and unaware of what’s going on. But he knew he wouldn’t be that lucky. Seeing Bill’s door slightly opened only confirmed his fear. It wasn’t a joke. Slowing down he walked quickly to the door and opened it. At first he didn’t notice anything immediately out of place. But then a little something attracted his attention. The bed. Between the bed sheets and music papers his eye fell on a black and red envelop sitting innocently on the pillow. Seemingly mocking him, enticing him to come and find whatever is in it. Only… he didn’t want to know what was inside it. Clearing his throat he slowly step by step walked toward the bed. Taking the envelop in his hands he opened and took the letter out of it’s confinement.
With every sentence he read his heart broke little by little. His legs shaked so hard he had to sit down not caring that he sat on the papers. When he came to the end of the letter Tom’s face was wet. Tears streaming over his face. He reread the letter over and over again until he practically knew it’s contents by heart. He couldn’t believe it. His Bill ran away and he knew it was because of him! Teardrops fell on the written letters. His hands grazed the letters on it as if trying to erase them, trying to find where his Bill went. Knowing that it was Bill’s graceful hands that had written it. His thoughts wandered back to the moment that was mentioned in the letter. Where he called his brother Billa. He knew why Bill called him Tomcat and he felt like an ass for not reassuring his twin that he indeed didn’t mind being called like that. Only Bill had the right to do so.
He should’ve been there for his brother. He shouldn’t have avoided him ‘cause now his Bill felt like he didn’t want him as his twinbrother. “Oh Bill,… I wouldn’t have wanted any other person as my brother, as twinbrother. Gott I’m such a bastard.” He muttered. “Great going Tom, congratulations. Because of you neglecting him he ran. This is what happens if the oh so great Tom Kaulitz listens to his head.” By now Tom was ranting to himself completely blaming himself. After all, if he wouldn’t have loved his brother more than brothers should he wouldn’t have been avoiding Bill. Which ultimately means that Bill wouldn’t have run away because he would’ve been with him. “Aaargh, why do I have to love him so much?!” By saying it out loud Tom stopped ranting. “Oh mein Gott, I love him.” He thought and started to cry again. “ I really love him, why did you have to run Bill? Why?” Sniffling he tried to get his act back together. Sitting here wouldn’t get his little naïve brother back. Only he would find him and be able to get him back. Safe and sound, surrounded by friends and him.
Standing up he noticed the photo Bill always took with him everywhere was gone as well. He should’ve know that of all the things he could take with him that Bill took that picture. After looking for any clue as to where Bill could’ve gone he realised that they wouldn’t find him anywhere near the hotel. Seeing that Bill’s favourite cap, wallet and gloves were gone and that his make-up was still where it should be. Which could only mean one thing … Bill left the hotel and went into the city. Losing no time Tom went to find Georg, Gustav, David and Saki forgetting that he could easily call them with his cell. His thought were full of Bill.
“Georg!” Nearly giving said friend a cardiac arrest, Tom grabbed him from behind. “Goddamnit Tom! Do you want me to die an early dead or what ?!” Georg grabbed his shirt where his heart was beating 100 miles per hour. “Damn, did you find him?” Tom shaked his head. “No, but you won’t find him in the hotel. He’s somewhere outside.” Georg groaned. “Can’t he just go hug Gusti when he’s upset? Nooo, he’s Bill he has to be so dramatic!” Even though Tom was franticly trying to contact Gustav on his cell he heard the worried undertone in Georg’s words. Georg saw Bill as his own little brother after all even if he wasn’t. Tom was grateful that he tried to be calm ‘cause if he would be like Tom. Well… all hell would be lose.
“Tom?” Finally! Gustav answered his cell. “Gus, tell Saki to stop looking in the hotel. He’s outside!” “Oh Gott, you sure about this?” Now Gustav the one that was always calm in every situation sounded worried and started to get upset. “Nooo, I’m making it up because I don’t care where he is. Thought it would be fun tell you guys he’s outside…. DO YOU HONESTLY THINK I WOULD MAKE THIS UP??!! I’M TALKING ABOUT BILL!! MY TWIN!! OF COURSE I’M BLOODY SURE!!” Tom yelled into his cell. How could Gustav even think of that. “Sorry Tom, didn’t mean it like that. Just… look outside.” “I’m not really in the mood to go see our fucking fans!” Tom snapped at Gustav. “I know but…” Then why do you ask it?! We should go and look for Bill.”
“Tom…” Georg whispered having heard every word that had been said.”… look outside.” Now Tom was getting pissed why did everyone want him to go look outside. Before he could react Georg pulled him over to the window. What he saw made his heart stop. A wind stroke ripped away a flag from the hotel causing it to pass the window. A hail of rain fell from the sky above. Pouring so hard and probably already a long time because he could see water coming out of the drainpipes on the street. People were franticly searching for a dry place to hide. It didn’t seem to stop soon.
“Tom?” But Tom was unable to answer. “Saki says that he’ll go look in the area around the hotel with his men. They promised to let us know whatever they find, Tom?” Tom got his voice back. “Yeah… I heard you.” Now both sides were silent trying to process what was happening. “Gus…tell…tell Saki that…”Tom had to take a deep breath “…that Bill isn’t wearing any make-up and he’s wearing that cap, the silly one he got from a fan.” “Okay I’ll tell him. I’ll be with you guys in minute.” Tom heard Gustav stop the call and looked at his cell, feeling lost and lonely even if Georg was standing close by. Georg grabbed Tom in a hug both uncaring if someone saw. They were worried over their friend and brother. They looked at eachother and when hearing the furious thunder they looked toward the window. Both thought the same thing. “Please be somewhere safe Bill.”
As Georg was comforting his friend outside the rain continued to fall from the clouds. Raindrops clashed the window glass as the wind billowed harshly if not harder than before. Thunder continued to come from the dark clouds ahead. Even the sun slowly gave away for the moon to appear in the almost night sky. It wouldn’t stop any time soon …
