We embraced. "I've heard so much about your band." Gerard Way said before he disappeared.
He was ultra-busy.
I thought that was ultra-cool.
I was outside Reprise Records.
A new branch building had just opened in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I was waiting for my audition time.
Unfortunately, I had yet to find bandmates but I had somehow pieced together a solo demo and had wanted to give it a shot anyways.
Enter Brian Schechter, public enemy number one.
"No I will not manage your band, you're just a cheap rip-off of the band I'm already managing, My Chemical Romance."
I paused, "dammit, nooo!"
"ah well."
After I had been kicked out of the building, I spied a rat. Frank Iero was running off, presumably to tell Gerard and the others what had just happened between me and Reprise Records.
I grinned to myself. Yes, I was sure it was him, scarpering off to the gang.
Finally, I was getting a little bit of attention.
