Kyo went inside the studio and everyone was sitting down before they got started. As he walked in everybody turned their eyes towards him. He ignored their stares and sat down on the red leather chair. When he sat down he looked up and finally noticed the stares. "What?" He questioned them. "So what's up with you and this girl?" Kaoru asked. "Nothing" he responded Kaoru gave him an i don't believe you stare, but decided not to push it. When he was ready he would tell them.
Mr. Hideki came through the door and motioned to Kyo to go into the recording side to record the song ' Raison Detre'. As he was singing Die and Toshiya started talking. "That girl he brought yesterday. He never brings people around. We need to find out more about her." Die said.
After Kyo was done singing they played it back and was content with how it sounded. A loud noise was heard. It was Mr. Hideki's phone. No one knew who he was talking to or what about. They only heard his side. Mr. Hideki hung up his phone and had a smile on his face. "Alright everyone listen up. Next month we will start touring all over America!" Mr. Hideki said. Everybody was happy except for Kyo. 'A whole month without Sayuri. I don't want to be away from her that long. i wonder if she'd be willing to come.' He started thinking.
"Mr. Hideki?" Kyo said while walking towards the manager. "I know this is an odd request, but i would like to bring someone with me" Kyo whispered so no one else could hear. Mr. Hidekis eyes grew wide in shock. "Would this someone happen to be that girl you brought yesterday?" He asked in a low voice so only Kyo could hear. Kyo nodded. "Kyo i usually don't pry into your business, but what is going on with you. You have acted strange these past two days." He questioned the young singer. Kyo paused for a moment before answering. " I think i might be in love with her" he responded with a big smile on his face. Mr. Hideki didn't need anymore. "Of course" he said with joy. Kyo walked out of the studio and grabbed his phone and started texting Sayuri. 'can we talk when you get off?' And sent the message. He knew it would probably be a little bit before he got an answer since she was busy.
A few hours passed and they were finished recording. Die thought it would be a good idea to go drinking to see if they could get information out of Kyo. "Kyo! Lets go out for a drink" Die asked. "Sure" he responded since he had nothing better to do. He was a bit anxious though waiting for her to text back. They decided to go to 'Fishbowl'. They had the band van drive them over there. When they arrived they headed to the private seating and ordered some drinks. They first started talking about the tour to America. None of them have ever been there before. Kyo didn't talk much as usual he just sat there drinking. He felt his phone vibrate and immediately grabbed it. It was her. 'Ok I'll stop by your place when i get off in the morning :)' the text read. Kyo started smiling. He couldn't wait.
He out his phone back into his pocket and looked up noticing everyone was starring at him. "What you smiling about Kyo" Toshiya asked with a grin on his face. Kyo ignored him. "Does it have something to do with that girl Sayuri?" He continued. Kyo tried so hard but couldn't hold his smile back at the sound of her name. The guys giggled when they figured it out. "Kyos got a girlfriend!" Koaru teased.
"Tell us about her! How did you guys meet?" Shinya asked. Kyo wasn't going to tell them everything but he didn't think it would hurt if he told them how they met. "I saved her" he stated. Every ones jaw dropped and eyes were wide. "What do you mean you saved her?" Shinya asked. "I went to go get something to eat since i didn't feel like cooking and as i was walking i saw her in the street and noticed the car coming, but she wasn't moving. I ran over to her and pushed her out of the way." He told them. "Aw your little damsel in distress" Toshiya teased. everyone laughed at the remark, even Kyo. He was on his third beer and was starting to feel tired. "It's getting late. I am going to head home" Kyo told the guys.
He walked out of the bar and decided to walk home. He liked walking at night. It was relaxing for him. He looked at his cell phone and saw it was already 1 in the morning. He had a good 10 minute walk home, but he started to feel hungry. He could either go home and cook something or go to IHOP. He didn't feel like cooking. He never did really. He headed towards IHOP.
When he got there he looked at his phone and saw he had a text message. ' Hey I got a two hour lunch at 1:30. want to talk?' It read. 'Meet me at IHOP. I'll wait for you.' He replied back to her. He went inside and sat down at a table and looked at the menu. "What can i get you sir?" The waitress asked . "Ill have some waffles and sprite please." He responded. The waitress wrote his order down. She was an elderly lady. Her hands shook a little as she wrote down the order. When she was done she walked back to the kitchen to give the cook the order and bring him his drink.
When his drink arrive, so did Sayuri. She saw where he was sitting and headed towards the table. She sat down in front of him and gave him a tired smile. Her scrubs were covered in some blood from the first part of her long shift. Kyo couldn't help but chuckle a little from how tired she looked. "You look like you could use some coffee" he said to her. "If only i liked coffee " she laughed back. The little old waitress came over to the table after seeing someone new at the table. "What can i get you miss?" She asked Sayuri. "Could i get a a hot chocolate and this breakfast combo? She asked. "How you want you combo? The waitress replied. "I'll take it with the eggs and bacon and the sweet cream crepes." She answered. The waitress wrote her order down , grabbed her menu and went to the back to drop off the order and grab her drink.
"So what did you want to talk about? She asked him. Kyo was a bit nervous so he sat there for a moment trying to gather his thoughts. Sayuri just stared at him waiting for him to talk to her. While waiting the waitress brought Sayuri her hot cocoa and that's when he started talking. "Sayuri, i need to tell you something." He started. Sayuri just looked at him waiting for him to continue. "Yesterday Mr. Hideki made an announcement that we will be heading to North America next month." Sayuri's heart dropped in her chest knowing he'd be gone for a whole month. She fell for him a long time ago when she first heard his music. After meeting and being with him it only went deeper. She told him the one thing about her past that she never told anyone.
Kyo could see the sadness on her face. He reached out and grabbed her hand and started to speak again. "Sayuri please don't look sad. I was hoping that if you wanted to you would come with me on tour." he asked her. Sayuri's head shot up fast in shock at his question. 'Did he just ask me to go with him? To America? What should i say? Of course i want to, but what about work? Than again i do have that vacation time I've been building up since i never really needed to use it before' Sayuri had so many thoughts going through her head at once. Kyo knew she was in thought and shook her hand to bring her back. With that movement Sayuri broke out of her thoughts. "So what do you say? He asked. "Of course i want to come with you. I do have vacation time that i have built up since i never needed to use it before. Let me talk to my boss and ill give you an answer soon." She responded. He nodded his head in response.
By the time they were done talking their food came out and they started eating. "So hows work going so far?" He asked. "Busy as usual. " she replied with a laugh. When the conversation was over they continued to eat. By the the time they were done Sayuri had to get back to work. she grabbed her wallet to pay for her meal and out $10 on the table. "I'll see you later" she said to him. She leaned down and gave him a kiss on his cheek and left. Kyo put the remaining money for the bill on top of Sayuri's (including tip) and then left himself and headed home.
