A/N: Okay, so here's the first part of clearing up SOME of the stuff between Spencer and Becca. I'm not going to clear it all up quite yet, as the suspense makes for good plot bunnies. :) So hope you enjoy! *hugs*

Rebecca had pulled into one of her favorite fast food places to grab a quick bite to eat before going back over to see how things were holding up at Jon’s with Spencer, still worried for her best friend. She ordered an extra meal for him and Brendon as well, hoping that Spencer would feel up to eating, and knowing that Brendon might like some food as well, having stayed behind to watch over Spencer as they were sharing a room while visiting. Jon had said something about Ryan and Cat going to some fancy restaurant or such, and Jon was headed over to a friend’s house for a poker night, so she knew that it would just be Brendon and Spencer. While waiting on the food, Rebecca pulled out her cell as it started to ring, smirking as she noticed it was Spencer calling.
“Hey, sickie. How are you feeling?”
“I’m okay, I guess. Umm, Reby, could you come by? I sorta need to talk.”
“Sure thing, Spence. I was heading over to check on you anyways. I just stopped to pick up some food for you and Brendon. I hope you like veggie burgers.”
“Sounds good. Thanks again, Reby.”
“Of course, Spence. That’s what I’m here for. But I gotta go, the food’s coming now. I’ll see you in a little bit.”
“Okay, later then.”
Rebecca closed her cell and took the bags from the girl behind the window, smiling graciously. After she had paid for the food and got it settled into the seat beside her, she turned the music back on and started back to Jon’s place.

Rebecca knocked on the door, smiling as it was opened within a few seconds by Brendon, who looked like he was getting ready to go out himself. She laughed and walked in.
“Wow, Brendon, I hope I didn’t scare you off so soon. I brought food. Care to bring the oaf down to the kitchen and we’ll eat?”
She smiled and held up the bags as proof before walking off towards the kitchen to pull out the food and sit it on the table. She quickly walked around the room getting three drinks prepared and set out along with the food. She smiled as Brendon and Spencer came into the kitchen, Spencer leaning slightly on Brendon as he must not be feeling quite well yet. She clucked her tongue lightly before sitting down at the table herself.
“Now, food for everyone! Dig in, and I don’t want to hear anything about me not having to do this. You boys spoiled me enough all those times I visited you, so now is my turn.”
“Oh, I wasn’t going to say anything, Becca. Free food is free food.”
She giggled at Brendon’s response, shaking her head as he quickly dug into his food as if he hadn’t eaten anything all day. She could imagine that having been just the case, but she wasn’t going to say anything. After they had finished their food, Brendon hopped up and mentioned something about going out before rushing over to the door and quickly out. Rebecca turned back to Spencer with a giggle.
“Wow, did I really scare him off that badly?”
“No, he had mentioned something about meeting up with someone he met at that benefit of yours.”
“Oh, so he had a hot date? Then I’m sorry I kept him from it with the lure of food. Feel like sitting up for a movie? Or do you want to head back to bed?”
“A movie sounds good. Although I do need to clear up some things first.”
“Okay, come on and I’ll clean up right quick then we’ll crash on Jon’s couch.”
Rebecca went about cleaning up the papers and trash that they had amassed from their meal before walking around the table to help Spencer into the living room and over to the couch. After getting Spencer settled, Rebecca went back to grab a few sodas to carry back for their little evening in. She sat down on the couch next to Spencer and got settled before turning to him with an eyebrow raised.
“Now, what was it that you needed to talk about?”
“Reby, you know that I respect that you and Patrick are a couple and such, but I know that if I don’t say this, I don’t know if Ryan will let me live. He made me promise that I would let you know this, so here goes. ...... Well, you remember when you went out on tour with us how things sorta went crazy?”
“Yeah, but Spence listen, I thought we had already settled that? We were both a little out of it, so why bring it back up?”
She had a feeling that she knew what was going to come next, having been cornered by Ryan at the shoot earlier, suggesting that she drop by to check on Spencer. She heard Spencer’s sigh and looked back at her friend, knowing that this might take a bit of time.
“Rebecca, I can’t help but think of what happened with us, I haven’t felt anything like that in a while. And I know it’s bad and such, but I can’t help but feeling jealous whenever I see you around Patrick and such. I’ve tried to keep it as just friends, but I keep losing. I just had to let you know.”
“Spence, I don’t know what to say but sorry. You know I still love you, just --- “
“Just as a brother, yes, I know. Believe me, I’ve heard that phrase enough to be sick of it. I don’t know what else to do. I keep trying to ignore it, but it’s always there. Not to mention the memories and dreams. I guess that’s what made me crack the other night. So I suppose I’m sorry that you had to deal with me after being stupid.”
“Spence, it’s okay. That’s what I’m here for, remember? And I would have rather had you call me than to be stranded at that club. Even if it did mean a late night out at a place I would have rather not gone back to.”
“God, I’m so sorry, Reby. That was the club, wasn’t it? I don’t think it even registered that was where you had met the bastard, not to mention had started the drugs. I’m an ass, forgive me?”
“Of course, you big oaf. Now how about that movie?”
“Sounds good to me, if I can keep the food down. Cat tried to kill me with soup earlier. So I hope the burger agrees with me. If not, I might be making a run to the bathroom.”
Rebecca laughed and got up to put in a movie before settling back on the couch with Spencer, resting her head on his shoulder as they always did. Soon enough, she started to feel the drain of not having slept in a while and yawned, covering the reflex with her hand.
“Sleepy?”
“Just a little.”
“Here, go ahead and go to sleep, I think I’m fine with the food. You have got to be tired after staying out all night with a certain ass then rushing off for the video shoot. So don’t worry about it.”
“Thanks, Spence. And you’re not an ass.”
Rebecca smiled slightly as he wrapped an arm around her, sliding closer to lean against him, letting her eyes close barely feeling the brush of his lips over the top of her head before slipping into a light sleep.
