"I don't know what's right or wrong,
I don't try to understand,
Let the devil take tomorrow
'Cause tonight I need a drink."

"Um, well, this is nice," Carrie commented as the carriage pulled up in front of the bar.
"Trust me, you'll love it," Kelly smiled as the driver helped them out.
"How long miss?" he asked.
"Um, you know what? This is good. We'll just get a ride back with my brother and them. Thank you so much. It was perfect."
"But you already paid for the entire evening."
"Don't worry about it," she shrugged him off.
"But--"
"Are you married?" Kelly asked curiously.
"Yes ma'am," he nodded, confused.
"Well here," Kelly said, digging in her purse for a tip and handing it to him. "Here. Go home early and surprise your wife with something nice."
"This is too much," he shook his head, trying to hand the money back.
"I'll be offended if you give it back," she said with a smile, knowing he would never offend a client.
"Thank you ma'am."
"You have a good night."
"You too."
Carrie smiled as Kelly turned back to her.
"What?" Kelly asked curiously.
"Nothing," Carrie shook her head as Kelly linked their arms, leading her into the small building.
"There they are," Kelly said, pointing to the bar where Jason, Ashley, and Ann were seated.
"Um, Ann looks kinda..."
"Wasted?" Kelly offered.
"Yea," Carrie nodded.
"Is that normal?"
"No," she laughed.
"Wow," Kelly giggled. "Come on."
"Hey y'all," Jason smiled as the two singers joined them.
Kelly waved the bar tender over, ordering two drinks before turning back to the rest of them.
"So, how was the rest of the banquet?" Carrie asked.
"Rough," Ann replied, drawing out the word.
"Yea," Ashley nodded. "A lot of old guys talking about the importance of giving back."
"Did you know that 100,000 children die needlessly from cancer every year?" Ann asked.
"That's kind of depressing," Carrie frowned.
"Not after you have a few of these," she shook her head, pointing to her drink in her hand. "Really, nothing's depressing of a few of these. It's all happy rainbows and unicorns."
Kelly laughed as the bartender handed her her drink and a bottle of water which she handed to Carrie.
"Kell..." she fussed.
"No."
"But I ate something."
"What about the medicine you took earlier?"
"You said yourself that it probably wouldn't affect me," Carrie pouted, eyeing Kelly's drink carefully.
"I just don't want you to get sick again," Kelly replied, pulling her off to the side.
"I'm fine," Carrie assured her.
Kelly frowned.
"Look, I already wasn't feeling quite right before I drank earlier. The medicine plus me not eating since early this morning already kinda had me out of it, but I promise you I'm perfectly fine right now."
"Alright," Kelly sighed, handing her the drink in her hand, and taking the water for herself. "Just go slow."
"I told you I'm fine," Carrie smiled, before taking a large sip and immediately starting to cough.
"I know," Kelly smiled. "That's just kinda strong to be downing even if you are feeling ok."
"Point taken," Carrie nodded, taking a much smaller sip this time.
"I love this song!" Ann cheered, grabbing Carrie and Ashley by the arm. "Let's dance!"
Carrie gave Kelly an apologetic look, quickly taking another sip before handing her the drink as she was drug onto the dance floor.
Kelly shook her head, laughing and taking the drink for herself as she sat on the side of Jason.
"She um...she's a bit of a light weight," Jason nodded towards Carrie's assistant.
"How much has she had?"
"That drink in her hand."
"Yea?"
"That's it," he nodded, grinning.
"Shut up," Kelly laughed.
"No, I'm serious. It's great."
Kelly rolled her eyes.
"Hey, she doesn't work with you, and she's single, so..."
"She's all yours," Kelly nodded. "You know, one day you'll be able to pick up a girl who isn't totally wasted."
"Yea, but now I'll never have to worry about some psychotic girl stalking me because this way they won't remember any of it."
"Or, this way you'll never have to worry about them remembering how bad you are and spreading it around."
"Ouch," Jason cringed. "That's just mean."
Kelly giggled, watching as the three girls were enveloped by the crowd.
"So, you're ok?" Jason, eyeing her carefully. "Cause you seemed a little bummed before you two left earlier."
"I'll be fine," Kelly nodded, raising the drink in her hand in a toast.
